Tickle.....TICKLE!!!!!!!

by Shirley

There is a factory in Northern Minnesota which makes the Tickle Me Elmo toys. The toy laughs when you tickle it under the arms.

Well, Lena is hired at The Tickle Me Elmo factory and she reports for her first day promptly at 8:00 am.

The next day at 8:45 am there is a knock at the Personnel Manager's door. The Foreman throws open the door and begins to rant about the new Employee.

He complains that she is incredibly slow and the whole line is backing up, putting the entire production line behind schedule.

The Personnel Manager decides he should see this for himself, so the 2 men march down to the factory floor. When they get there the line is so backed
up that there are Tickle Me Elmo's all over the factory floor and they're really beginning to pile up.

At the end of the line stands Lena surrounded by mountains of Tickle Me Elmo's. She has a roll of plush Red fabric and a huge bag of small marbles.

The 2 men watch in amazement as she cuts a little piece of fabric, wraps it around two marbles and begins to carefully sew the little package between Elmo's legs.

The Personnel Manager bursts into laughter. After several minutes of hysterics he pulls himself together and approaches Lena .

'I'm sorry,' he says to her, barely able to keep a straight face, 'but I think you misunderstood the instructions I gave you yesterday...'

'Your job is to give Elmo two test tickles.'

Michael Well, aren't you just too precious coming in and bamming at first! It must be because of your excitement about the auction today.

Shirley Thanks for the blog today. There's been a man or two in my life who could have used Lena's help.

Tina How are you doing with those cards? You need your own little group of elves to help you. Oh, wait....you do have them....the kids!

Dianne When I was younger, wrapping was a lot more fun. Now I find it very time consuming.

Zona Are your trees decorated? I haven't bought one yet. I'm just having such a tough time caring about any of this right now.

Tinka I hope you have a fine day and lots of success with your shopping.

Evening Owls!

Michael, Tina said in area 51 that I was pretty, so it doesn't matter if you get first cause I'm still prettiest!

Tina you are welcome for the blog, but, um...what happened to the picture? Did it not come threw? Since I've gotten this Window's 7 I am having a real problem with pictures.

Dianne and Zona I didn't see the punchline coming either!

Tinka I hope you enjoy the story when you get a chance to read it.

Just Lin I feel the same way as you. I could care less about Christmas. I have no tree up and no decorations and I haven't had any for the last several years. Commercials, songs, movies...I have no interest. I use to like everything but the last few years, nope nothing.

Glad you all got a chuckle out of the Elmo story! Thanks for the comments!

Shirley Well, today I went out and bought a few gifts and got a bunch of stuff to make cookies and fudge with. I am starting to feel more in the holiday spirit even though my heart is heavy and I am sad about my mother not being here this year. Maybe it would help your spirit if you would make peanut brittle and give some to your siblings as gifts. :) I love peanut brittle.
