My something nice day, presents each one ofyou with a cupcake, baked and stacked up by, none other
than my "Italian Stallions"
Today is my " do something nice day", its the end of the week and I am in a good mood, as I have the weekend off. So what better day then today, to just do one thing nice for someone else. Maybe I can pick up something that someone dropped or open the door for someone, or just tell someone to have a nice day.
I am going to make a conscious effort today and give it my all. Each day I forget the little things, that perhaps might cheer someone up. So on my journey today, I will remember that perhaps someone is not having such a nice day, and maybe my "do something nice day" will give them the smile that they so need.

ReplyDeleteFor example, in our city you must place your garbage containers (city issued) on the curb for pickup. This is done with hydrolic arm on truck. So, I watch someone pull up to the curb, right in front of the bins, look at their car as they get out, look at the bins, look at the car, then just walk away.
I am so rooting for the big bad ass garbage truck to come and smash into the nice black Lexus out there. Or perhaps attempt to reach the bins and spill all the stuff on top of it. Moron of the day.

Get this, he fences across his driveway for his dogs and can't use it, so he parks across the street in front of my trash barrel, every freakin week!!! ReplyDeleteCarol, Instead of giving up something for Lent, I made a committment to do something nice for someone every day. I try to do this anyway, but for Lent I am trying to do more.
All our TV stations are pre-empting usual shows to bring the funeral of the four officers who were killed in the line of duty on the same day, in Oakland.
ReplyDeleteThey were killed by a guy for whom an arrest warrant had been issued. The first two officers stopped him for a traffic violation and he shot them both and fled. The other two were shot with an AK47 which the guy shot from behind a door, and it went right through and killed them.
They say this is the first time four officers have been killed on the same day. They expect up to 19,000 people to attend. It is being held at the Oracle Arena (formerly the Oakland Coliseum) in Oakland. Very sad.
SacBarb we are taping the service on tv today. MR. EBJ and I have been in tears the past 6 days, it is so very sad.
