O Come O Come Emmanuel

I didn't watch the CMA Country Christmas show when it was first on since I am not much of a country music fan but, when friends and I were waiting to see the Times Square ball drop on New Year's Eve, we watched the Christmas show which my friend had recorded.  Normally, I don't care for Jennifer Nettles' singing because it is too twangy for me but, when she sang this song, I was totally entranced.  I found it to be breathtakingly beautiful and not a twang to be heard. : )

    Not bad on the song. Very pretty!

    Tho the top song at our house right now is the Hot Dog Dance song. Can I just say I think Mickey Mouse is actually a subversive rodent who is brain washing everyone?

    Justlin, I had not heard her sing this before. What I love about her,twang or no twang, is that every song she sings comes straight from her heart!

    Mo, it got to 16 below zero last night. It is struggling to reach 1*
    I don't want to go out either, but we are running low on dog food and there is snow on the horizon :( This is one time I am grateful for my remote start on my Jeep!

    JL that is a beautiful song! I don't listen to CW either, but I really, really like it!

    A conflict for me today. My dad is from Illinois and my mom is from Wisconsin, so I must stay neutral for the game today.

    I'm sure there will be some trash talking at their house today, and no doubt my mom will be wearing her Cheesehead hat!

    I feel bad complaining about how cold it is here (right now it's a foggy 43) when I read Mo and Mary saying it's in the teens!

    LOL at Shirley's football snacks! Squeeze cheese, YUMMY!! :) (NOT!)

    Lynn I haven't heard the hot dog song, sounds kinda pornish. I bet Carol would like it!

    J/L...lol....that is one of the shoes that Bette Midler wore in her role as Winifred Sanderson in "Hocus Pocus"..

    I thought they were just fantastic.....the instep is embroidered and jeweled and there is embroidery going up the back...

    Hollywood does the most marvelous things in costumes and wardrobe when $$$ are not a concern...
