My Entire Childhood

by Dianne

I know some of you are still to young to remember some of these things but there are some of us that will remember each and every item----I am one of them.

  1. Good morning...

Lincoln Logs!! Of course! A "must have!"

And once when I was a child...my Father did something that really hurt my feelings....but I awakened the next morning to a new set of Tinkertoys!

My Father...always with the things...couldn't just give a hug and say I'm sorry. He bought his way thru my life...

Opps! Seems the Tinkertoys have sparked some anger...lol

  3. Today in History.....

On June 12, 1942, Anne Frank, a German-born Jewish girl living in Amsterdam, received a diary for her 13th birthday; in it, she wrote, "I hope I will be able to confide everything to you, as I have never been able to with anyone, and I hope you will provide much support and comfort." (Less than a month later, Anne and her family went into hiding from the Nazis.)

  4. Michael Well, it sure is nice to see you here today even if you do look a little green around the gills. Or is that pesto sauce? Well, never mind, it's just nice to have you hop in and plop yourself down. Nice card from Tina. I love how she's so sentimental.

  6. Michael---it is great to see u in the nest today. We always need our history list and to see your avatar for the day.

JL -- I think they were my brothers toys too. This video had a lot of toys on it but it wouldn't print

  7. Dianne I really loved my Tiny Tears doll. I still have her sitting on a shelf in my bedroom.

  8. Dianne, I never had those toys because my brother was 9 years older, but I did get Lincoln logs for my oldest son. He loved playing with them.

I hope the fires aren't too close to you and you are safe.

Michael, Nice to see you plop in first today.

J/L, I'm researching things to do in Sac. You'd think I would already know, huh!

  15. Mo, you are welcome to come to our slumber party. I have plenty of floor space and couches.

Tina, Lynn and I went to the Capitol Bldg. the first time she was here, but the Gov. wasn't there. It Arnold then. Maybe if we go back, Jerry will be there.

J/L, Have you ever taken the Vallejo ferry to Pier 39? Someone told me about it today. Lynn already said she would like to go to Tahoe, and it's only 90 minutes from here.

Who else wants to come to Sac for a slumber party?

  24. Jodi---have a good day at work. I'm always so glad to see u on the blog. Ive been asleep om top of the bed and just woke up. Now I need to get into the bed and go back to sleep ...which won't be hard.

Mo---we have good days and bad days here with Louiss recovery. It so hasn't gone as we thought it would go. He cam walk very slowly and doesn't do it as often as they say. I just dont see the old fight that used to be in Louis. he sits in recliner with blanket over his legs and sleeps a lot. He's still on a lot of meds but I just think there should be more energy. I call thevdr and tell them and then they call back and Louis tells them he is doing good then is groaning an hour later. We go to dr on Monday and I will be speaking up yet again. Probably sorry you asked. It just gets frustrating for both of us.
