This Night Owl Blog has given so much! It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"! We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly. And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :) It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!

Friendships abound!
it is absolutely amazing how these
last two days have turned into
exactly what we all had hoped for
"a celebration"
i really don't think it was all about
the 100th blog, yes the thought of
us reaching a milestone was cause
for celebration, however it occurred
to me that it was also a celebration
of friendship, pure yellow friendship
we all got together and each of us
thought of different ideas and tied
them all together with a beautiful string
the string got longer and each one of
you touched that string and gave it
strength, i still have that string as it
is in my heart, and i am giving each one
of you a piece of the string
to be placed in your hearts as well
the fun, the laughter, the porn, the food
the drinks, never stopped it continued
to the last owl dropped, which seems to
be turtle at comment # 1469
her favorite number, yes whabby
posted after her, however he was three
sheets to the wind, so we really can't
count his comment :O)
so many just stopped by to wish us
well and give us congrats on what we
have built here, i once called tina's
blog "the room" astounding, as i knew it was
she was so right, and yet that was long ago
it is almost like she new~~
as we celebrated, here in the nest
two owls were meeting in AZ
a meeting that would be a first for the
two of them, they met on the same day
we were celebrating, mek and barbwa
making a friendship thru this cyber world
creating a yellow memory, and including us
in their memory
i want to thank each of you for all your
help, in our celebration, i could have not
done any of it without all of you
tomorrow we get back to normal i have
a blog from a owl i will post tomorrow
to start our normal routine
the bouquet of roses i have posted
are for all of you, as you all deserve pretty roses
and yet so much more
to each of you:
smiles and happiness always
:O)
What a beautiful blog Carol. Brought tears to my eyes. Thanks. (((HUGS)))

I was sad I could not get back to the nest yesterday. Life took over and I just ran my tail feathers off until late last night!
Shirley thank you breakfast! Grabbing a muffin and some coffee
Good Morning All!!!
ReplyDeleteShirley, Congrats on First!
LynnD, How are your tail feathers today?! All Fluffy again...I hope!
Need to get groceries today.. so I'll be busy for awhile today.
Niece is still here...Looks like I'll have to feed her! LOL
We played UNO last night. That was fun. Then I rested my arse and my FEET!
Carol!!! Love the new look here!
ttyl
xoxoxoxo
Shirley - You are first this morning. That is great.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning to you and to Lynn and Birdee. The picture is beautiful Carol. I will be back in ten minutes to read it. My 'fur babies' don't like me to put the blog first in the morning but I had to see who was up.
Good morning Birdee and Tinka!
ReplyDeleteI am off to start the first load of laundry this morning will be back in a bit.
Good morning Shirley (congrats on 1st!), lynn, birdee, tink. I see those of us without hangovers are up and at 'em.
ReplyDeleteCoffee and a muffin for me please.
Beautiful blog today Carol.I think you capture the exact spirit of this blog. Its all about the friendship.
Ok, I am off to start working on getting these damn superglued tassles off!
Good Morning Owls!
ReplyDeleteWaving Hi to Shirley, Lynn, Birdee, Tinka, Goldie!
Cpgem: The home page looks so pretty!
BonO: That recap of the 100 items everyone brought was fun to read. Thanks for doing that!
MEK and BarbWA: I wondered why BarbWA mentioned "pending company" that day we were talking about Bailey's reaction. Now it makes sense. :) Glad you're having fun!
I should have explained that video I posted yesterday evening so no one would be worried about watching it. It's a sweet story about a friendship between two animals who are normally enemies by nature - a warm your heart, put a smile on your face type video. :)
Here's the link again if anyone wants to see it now that you know what it's about:
Unlikely Friends
Happy Saturday Owls!
I'm off to work! :)
Good Morning Lynn and Goldie.
ReplyDeleteCarol - I told you the picture was beautiful but I didn't really thank you or say "Good Morning" so I am saying that now.
It is actually snowing here, a place where we send daffodils to all over Canada in February to show off our warm weather. Well it is at freezing today, an all time record for April, and I am going to stay cozy by my fire. I hope officials have sense enough to cancel my grand daughter's baseball game.
Thank you for the tea and toast this morning Shirley.
Yes it was a great party. I don't think any group of wonderful people have ever had fun like that on a blog.
Now it's back to normal. I guess the first thing I will do is to go to area 51 and check on the night owl's to see if they left the nest in good condition and to see what condition they were in when they left it. Then off to answer messages. I will be back in a while.
Good Morning Amicus - Thank you for the help last night ((((Hugs)))))
ReplyDeleteCarol - You wrote a beautiful blog this morning. It really tells it like it is. I am going to print it and make a copy to put in my 'special' file.
Yaaaaaagh It is snowing big fat fluffy flakes! Am I dreaming or are we really in April?
ReplyDeleteBon O - I just checked area 51 and I would like to thank you for taking the time to list every body's 100 items. I am sure Iteach will be pleased to see them listed too as it was her idea. You worked hard organizing a lot of this party and I thank you again.
ReplyDeleteGood morning eveyone! I am SO SORRY I missed the celebration, but I was there in spirit! I have been completely wiped out every night when I get home, that I am too tired to do anything but the bare minimum! As iteach mentioned, our school has a new filter system and it blocks myspace as well as the nest! (No fair)! I would often post in my "down time" at work or after school when I didn't have any technology problems to fix in the building!
ReplyDeleteI hope you all forgive my "absence"! I am just burnt out on life! However, it's the weekend, so I'm trying to "recharge"! (However I have another 8 page paper due by Monday which I will be working on)!
Good morning Shirley (1st & breakfast!), LynnD, Birdee, Tinka, Goldie, Amicus, and welcome back Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteTinka & Amicus, you are so welcome (for the list of 100's). When I read the very first ones on Day 1, I decided to go split screen to see what we ended up with, so it was easy to do as I read, and quite fun.
I, too, awakened to ground covered with snow. Just moments ago, it was snowing so hard we could barely see across the street. Now the sun is out, reflecting so brightly I need my shades on. Too bizarre!
Much to do today. Will check back later.....
FIFTEEN
ReplyDeleteShirley: Congrats on #1 and thanks for the breakfast! I had toast, 3 Advil and some coffee!
ReplyDeleteLynn d: I can relate to "life taking over"!
Birdee: Good luck grocery shopping (it's a dreaded task, as I have mentioned before)!
Tink: I can't believe it is SNOWING there! We are having unusually WARM weather here! It has been warm and humid! I had a window open all night last night!
Good morning to Goldie and Amicus too!
A good morning to all those beautiful owls who fly in later too!
Thank you ALL for your nice comments and well wishes this week! I have missed you all!
I'll fly back in later!
Morning Bon'o and Mek!
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday!!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning,
Cpgem- I LOVE what you have done to the front page today AND your blog brought tears to my eyes!!
This really is a VERY special place and I thank each and everyone of you for making me smile EVERY single day!!
Barb and I are having a wonderful time and we wouldn't have dreamed about NOT sharing it with you all..
We are off to the National Park, MEKAL'S (Barb's request, seriously), our lake and then we will just relax!! Sadly, she had to go home tomorrow - so we are going to make the most of today!! Temps are supposed to hit 90 and it's snowing at her house!! (bummer)
We hope everyone has an excellent day!! :-)
hugs to all!!!
Godd morning!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blog and page, Carol.
It's so you, with your heartfelt thoughts.
LynnD~ so I guess you'll be minus a few tail feathers, now? SNOW??
I'm in shorts today. Stay warm.
birdee~ good to see you and to know you don't have any rug burns. Have fun with your niece.
Tink~Snow for you too? Oh, just so you know, I gave Zona some of my Immunity Idols, from Surivor, just in case you happen to 'ground' her.
Flowers AND snow...what's wrong with that picture?
Goldie~About these tassels and superglue, OMG, that's painful. I finally had to just trim mine as close as I could and they now look like two red pom-poms under my blouse. No wonder the checker at the store kept staring...doesn't everyone have pom-poms instead of boobs? (I reported him to the manager)
Amicus~ Loved the video, thank you for sharing. I hope your day at your salon is a good one, and hug all the fur babies for me.
Bon'O~Thank you for the list of 100items, it gave me a good laugh again today. Snowing on you too???
Jennifer~Thank you for checking in, we have missed your sweet face for a while, but understand how hard you have been working on you assignments. Oh, if there had not been a filter on your computer, 'they' really would have been surprised at how you friends behaved these last two days. lol
Happy Saturday to everyone.
xoxo
Good morning, Mek and Barbara...Hope you have a fun filled day.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to congratulate our Shirley on being #1 today.
ReplyDeleteAlso, thank you for breakfast, I believe I'll just have coffe and grapefruit juice.
Hey, Ronnie! Did you go to the salon and get your feathers frosted? You look stunning today!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, everyone!
ReplyDeleteShirley Congrats on being first today and thank you so much for bringing breakfast with you. I'll definitely need coffee and maybe some sourdough toast with butter and strawberry preserves.
Carol Beautiful blog today. This place is so full of love and friendship it's just amazing. And the unbelievable wit just keeps me laughing all day long. It really is a warm and happy place. Thank you, Carol, for being the architect and thank you, everyone, for being the kind, loving, giving, funny, dear people that you are. And thank you, too, for inviting me here to play.
Oooops!! I forgot to shower and change clothes before joining you for breakfast. Sorry, about that. Do you like my new glasses?
ReplyDelete25 8)
ReplyDeleteHi j/l and Bono.
ReplyDeleteWell now, about my feathers, I was drinking red jello-shots and when I showered, I discovered they left a pink stain. I DID rush down to the salon to get a few highlights, though.
I guess Tink won't care for me being Pink/Ronnie..lol Noone could ever be as pink as Tinkatia, mine are just an accident that happened.
OMG j/l!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny.
As I am sitting here watching the snow come down and wondering what is happening to the world's weather, I want to say Good Morning to those who landed after I flew off to myspace.
ReplyDeleteJennifer - It is good to see you posting. I keep track of your status each day and I am sorry you have been so over worked lately. I hope you have a really nice restful weekend.
Mek - I am happy you and Barb had such a good time. I am hoping to have met a lot of owls by the end of summer.
Ronnie - My ZonaBaby does not need the immunity idol now but thank you for offering. We have had a long talk and she promises me she will never sneak out again. I think she learned her lesson when she woke to find she was all alone in the nest. She is such a sweet girl.
VIG - I am happy to hear you cancelled your trip to Vancouver. I was worried about you driving in the snow. A few years ago we had snow for a day on my grand daughter's birthday in March. That was so unusual. Now we have a new story to remember and talk about, snow in April.
WOW!!!
ReplyDeleteCarol..I had to find a tissue!!!
YOU are the BEST!!!
Creator of the nest!!!
This place we love...
I couldn't keep up the last two days... Thursday was wild ... Sorry i had to work!! I missed a lot of fun...
I would love to party with you guys for real!!!!
Shirley CONGRATS ON 1ST!!!
Such a busy nest this mornign ...
LynnD, Birdee, Tinka, Goldie,
Amicus, Ronnie.... Good morning ladies...
Jennifer..welcome back.. I would hate a filter at work!!! that sucks!!!
MEK and BARBWA... Have a blast today....
Getting ready for work... you all have a good night...
It took me so long to post I missed BonO..and Just Lin...
ReplyDeleteHEY!!!!!!!!
IBB Hi! Hope you have a good day today.
ReplyDeletejust_lin~~
ReplyDeleteYou might want to leave those glasses at home the next time you 'see' Custard. Sally Jessie Rafieal in green..lol
Just_lin - I ditto what you wrote to Carol. You said it so beautifully. I would say I love your glasses but to be honest I think I will tell you that I will get used to them.
ReplyDeleteRonnie - You look beautiful in your pink feathers. There should be more pink birds. All I can think of is flamingos. God should have made more things pink. I think the pink sky at night is one of His best works.
Hi Ibebold - You missed a wonderful party but I know you were there in spirit. I felt you there. Have a great day at work.
ReplyDeleteWhat? You all don't think these glasses make me look smart and sophisticated? The better to see you with, my dears. LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you Tink, and I, too, love the pink sky. If someone other than God tried to create this beautiful universe, it never would have been so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteRonnie I took a closer look at your new 'do' and I really like the way it catches the highlights from the sun.
ReplyDeleteJust_lin~~
ReplyDeleteThe next time you see Custard, you really will 'see' him. Keep counting those days, I'm so happy for you.
Thanks J/L.
ReplyDeleteMy hairdresser suggested I stay away from the Jello-shots, though.
(If he only knew) lol
BTW, my friend that cooked me dinner when I was in Rockport, well he is now calling every 2 or 3days. Funny part is, I'm now looking forward to each of his calls.
Ronnie Good for you! Isn't that great? Life is very unpredictable. You just never know what's around the next corner. I hope this new relationship works out well for you.
ReplyDeleteGood moring feathered friends!
ReplyDeleteSHIRLEY... congrats on 1st! And thanks for breakfast. I'll have a mugga coffee, toast, jelly and a muffin. Thank you, I'm starvin'!
LYNN, BON'O, TINKA...SNOW????? Are you sure you don't really live in Cleveland? LOL we have had blizzards in April before! A good day to cozy up with the computer and play in the warmth of the nest.
BON'O and your list of 100 items was awesome! As was your menu compilation.
LUST JIN...or JUST LIN! I triple love your new glasses! But I do agree with RONNIE...you may wanna leave those at home when you next see CUSTARD! ALthough, if they are magnifying, objects will look even bigger! bwahahahaha
RONNIE...How's BOB? LOL! I like your new owl! Was she on page 135717 of photobucket? LOL
BIRDEE...Did you let your niece win at UNO? Sounds like fun.
JENNIFER...nice to see you again. That sux that you and ITEACH can't blog from work anymore. I hope you can relax this weekend and get back here more often.
IBB...good morning!
MEK and BARB...your day sounds glorious. How fun to visit with each other and take us all along for the ride, too!
GOLDIE...good luck with the super glue! Be careful!
AMICUS...good morning to you.
CAROL...what a tear jerker blog today. Beautifully written and heartfelt. And the page looks so pretty. THANKS again for all you do for us. {{hugs}}
If I missed anyone, I apologize.
Got a lot to do today. Tonight starts Passover and I will be off to the relatives house before I know it. I will try and stop back later.
Have a great day EVERYONE!
J/L~~
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm beginning to feel like I'm 25 years old and just sassy as I can be. Like you, I knew him a few years ago, so no surprises about what kind of person he is. PLUS, and that's a big plus, I know what kind of a fisherman he is. lol
Happy Passover, Weenie!!
ReplyDeleteLove you, and enjoy the celebration.
Mo~~
ReplyDeleteNo on page 751,062.
*****ATTENTION K-MART SHOPPERS*****
ReplyDeleteGo look at Tina's comments to see her scrapbooking award! Bwahahahaha!!!!! Especially, you Mo!
Ronnie I agree. New love makes you feel all young and sassy again. Gets the juices flowing, so to speak. LOL
ReplyDeleteRONNIE; Hmmm. sounds like a second romance may be brewing. One in California and now one in Texas. We are all so lucky to soon be getting DOUBLE DETAILS.
ReplyDeleteCAROL: Great blog and so true. You are such a great person to do all this work daily for us.
BONO: I loved your list of 100 items. I don't even know what a double screen is!
TINK; I wouldn't blame Zona for all the night capers as I do think she saw her cyber mom down a couple of jello shots. I guess that made her think it was okay. Are you now believing BEAR and I had nothing to do with her "issues". We were just minding our own business...so to speak!
J/L: Your glasses are shall we say different? I hope they won't get in the way when you are visiting Custard. Not to be rude but it may encourage hime to be looking me up again and I am just too tired this time around.
SHIRLEY: I love the breakfast and you know I how I feel about your sun..made my hangover kind of go away. I was wondering why I am still dressed like this and everyone looks different today. Is the party over? Nobody told me!
Well, I guess I had better go meet my friend for lunch and look for something new to wear. These tassels are getting pretty dirty and it looks like I have guacamole all over them for some reason.
Hi to everyone!
ReplyDeleteI still need to catch up on the blog from the past few days, unfortunately something called work got in my way of being at the parties more!
MEK and Barb so glad you got to meet! Sounds like you're having a great time.
Paula went to the vet yesterday, her kidney function tests are not down any, in fact the numbers crept up a little. It is disappointing, but we will keep her on the sub-q fluid at home.
She seems happy and eating well, so that's fine with us.
Shirley, congrats for being first today!
I will check back in later, hope you all have a great day!
I have to go do some things. I'll check back later. Hope everyone is having a good day. Don't forget to go check out Tina's "award" in comments. :D
ReplyDelete50...
ReplyDeleteoff to work.. you have a great day!!!
Just checking in quickly!
ReplyDeleteLooks like life is going to run me around again today!
MEK and Barb: It sounds like you are having a great time! Tell Barb to bring some of that sunshine back to WA when she comes home!
Mo: Happy Passover!!!!!
Jennifer: Glad to see you in the nest!
Bono: I forgot you did a great job on the 100 list!
I will try to be back in awhile!
(((hugs))) to everyone!
OMG, just_lin, "get your juices flowing, again" ???
ReplyDeleteDianne-wanting-details-in-Denver~~ Don't you know that details, to a fisherman, are like 'catch of the day' stories? We all say it was bigger than it really is. lol
Waving to ibb and ebj...have a great day!
Fantastic blog, Carol! And I know you're not just stringing us along!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the breakfast, Shirley! Perfect for a lingering hangover.
Have fun at the park, MEK and BarbWA!
OK, off for my run on Steven's Creek trail. I better go now; its the warmest it's gonna get today... brrrr!
Talk to you later, owls!
P.S. Dianne, I wonder if anybody in the nest is going to be late next month? LOL!
Carol: I must also chime in on my thanks to you! I also want to thank all of you for making me feel so welcomed here!
ReplyDeleteCarol, I know how much hard work you have put into this nest, and judging from all the amount of posts (esp. from the 100th blog day) I see others appreciate your hard work too.
I agree that this is a wonderful place that is full of great people and friends!
Thanks for always making everyone so welcomed here! I do have a great time when I am here!
Yes...the new filter SUCKS!!! I knew how to by-pass the old one we had (and turned it off for most of the teachers too), but this one is completely different! DARN!!!
Be back later tonight (late) I hope!
WOW! Carol, that was such a BEAUTIFULLY written blog!! I do believe I shed a tear! lol
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I also loved the layout today!
Amicus: AMAZING!! That was quite possibly the cutest thing I think I've ever seen!! I appreciate you sharing that with us! :)
Well, it's not snowing here like it is for a lot of you..Just rain!
MEK and barb: Have a blast on your last day together!
I have a toothache today, so I think I'm going to rest for a bit!
Happy Saturday to everyone!
P.S. The date I was supposed to have last night, hopefully has been rescheduled for tomorrow night! lol;)
ReplyDeleteLMAO@me being the only one still too hungover to change my name and remove my tassels!
ReplyDeleteSorry for that public display;)hehe
WOOHOO, my dancing partner Dianne still has her tassels on! lol
ReplyDeleteGreat blog Carol. You're the best !
ReplyDeleteHey, Want, I'm just flying through real quick in between errands. I guess alot of peeps are busy today. It's pretty windy here today and on the cool side.
ReplyDeleteGood Afternoon to all Owls who arrived "While I Was Sleeping", (a new movie soon to be released.)
ReplyDeleteMaureen - What a nice inclusive post. Happy Passover.
EBJ - I am happy Paula's numbers didn't slip too much.
Dianne - You were right. I should never have had those two jello shots - I have taken the vow of abstinence and it wasn't a good example for Zona. On the 'he said, she said' issue however, I have chosen to stay neutral. I have to show my daughter I believe in her and yet it's two against one in the giving of evidence.
Bear - If anyone is late this month, it had better not be my little one. I am holding you responsible there.
Joey - Put cloves on your tooth tonight but call the dentist in the morning. No-one should have a toothache in this day and age.
The snow has stopped and the sun is out. If I wait 15 minutes it might be a different story.
Off to myspace to see Tina's comments and I also want to watch Amicus' video. Have a great afternoon and evening. I hope no-one has continued drinking. We may have started something here.
Hi Want to Sleep - I didn't see you snuggled down in the nest. Did you have a good nap? I did too. Well not with you but you know what I meant.
ReplyDeleteHi, Tink...just tweaking my Playlist and decided to pop in for a peek...we had a sunny midday. Now it's snowing again. Too weird.
ReplyDeleteWingwaves to W2S, Bear, Joey, Mo, IBB & J/L! (Do your new glasses glow in the dark?) :o)
Do we get 'BB's in the Park' pics tonight?
Hello!
ReplyDeleteShirley
Thanks! And of course Thanks for the breakfast, yummo
Lynn d
Morning to you as well, even tho its afternoon
Birdee
You have the QOTD, I thought that was so funny. When you play Uno do you cheat?
Bon
I saw your list in area 51!
Kudos, that was great that you put that together!
Amicus
I thought the home page looked pretty as well, Thanks!
Tinka
Napping with want. So funny, you never cease to amaze me with your witty comments.

J/L
ReplyDeleteI agree, the wit amazes me, when I read thru all the quotes, posted over the celebration, I continued to laugh and just shook my head on all of them. So very funny. And thank you for all you said, well written :O)
Jennifer
Glad you are feeling like you are at home, It is always good to see you. Whenever you can stop by its great. And if life gets in the way that is ok to..
Joey
Leave it to you to continue the porn! Sorry about your date, However it just gives you something to look forward to.
Ok, need to split this up again!
Oh, Carol that was so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI needed that because I'm so exhausted.
We drove two hours away today to have our four children have their picture taken with their cousins.
So we had to get seven children under the age of eight to sit nicely.
It was so exhausting.
Then afterwards we went to Chuck E Cheese.
ReplyDeleteHave you heard of it?
It is a building full of children, loud sounds, blaring lights, and flat pop.
We promised to take the children their, if they were good for the photographer.
It will take me a week to recover from that place.
Ronnie - I forgot to mention in my last post about "cooking in Rockport". More details please.
ReplyDeleteBonO - I am going over to check your new playlist.
Iteach - Did you manage to get a good picture of all the kids? Will you show us one please?
Whabby
ReplyDeleteI have stringed you along since I met you, which I think was about 3yrs ago! In the beginning you were my connection, I have always told you that, When I did not think my posts on Rossland were being noticed, you always seemed to reach out! And Joey too, he always was there to help me!
zona
happy blue Just cause!
mek
I like the blog today too! You make this place special as well! So very glad you and barbwa are having a great time! Enjoy

iteach
ReplyDeleteHi, you came in as I was posting!
Ok, I will be honest, that was hard, not sure I can do it all the time. I give anyone Kudos who takes the time.
ReplyDeleteI think I will cheat as I always do, As I always say, I am me :O)

Blog submissions from all of you are welcomed at anytime, so if any of you, have something you want to write about please do so!
Thanks!
All the children smiled pretty except my little Carolyn (17 months). She had her bottom lip out the whole time, because she was scared.
ReplyDeleteI really want to share my family, but I don't have a scanner.
However, my brother-in-law does. So I will try to get it done by tomorrow night.
Carol thanks for the update about your computer.
ReplyDeleteLast night in bed aloud I said "I hope Carol gets that new computer soon".
Mr. Iteach just looked at me and said "Carol, who?".
Then I started to laugh and smile!
iteach
ReplyDeleteYes I have been to Chuck E Cheese, for a few young cousins b'day's...
I was not crazy about it either!
When I got home I jumped in the shower, Everything just felt sticky!
And it was def not from Jello Shots!
iteach
ReplyDeleteI would love to see those pictures of your beautiful children...
Hmmm..taking about me in bed. It is good to know! :O)
Carol~~When the FedEx man shows up, please have him help you remove it from the box, fill the box full of that pretty blue sky I see there behind you, and o'night it to the PNW? Thanx!
ReplyDeleteTink~~You might want to wait on my playlist. I'm mostly deleting songs that I also have on cd, adding in stuff from 'back in the day'.....no Elvis, though, sorry.
I am heading out!
ReplyDeleteHope all enjoys the rest of their day!
I will check back tonite!
Carol, I know what you are saying.
ReplyDeleteThat place is more germ infested then McDonald's playground.
bon
ReplyDeleteI shall do just that!
♥♥♥
iteach I am so glad that the days of Chuck E Cheese are far behind me! With these new glasses, I'd probably be able to see every single germ! LOL
ReplyDeleteJ/L~~Ain't it the truth! Had to send iTeach a comment saying the same thing.
ReplyDeleteITeach~~so, if you were a dentist instead of a teacher, would you spend your weekend having a root canal?? You're a devoted mom, for sure!
Howdy Owls!!
ReplyDeleteCarol your blog is beautiful and it brought tears to my eyes.
Thank you, and again, thanks to everyone that contributed to our wonderful celebration.
I LOVE the new decor,it's gorgeous.
I thought my perfect "1ST scrap book project" would be the Owl nest party,so
I am going to print off the celebration blogs including each and every comment.
It was a beautiful day here but I was stuck instead doing the yearly tune-ups and fan cleaning of our computers. Yuk.
I guess since Hubby does the cars I can do the comps.
Hope everyone is having a super Saturday!!
Love to all, I'm going to try and pop back later tonight :o)
xox
Lovey Hi! You're looking lovely, as usual. You seem fully recovered from the celebration. I think that's a great idea for your 1st scrapbook project.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon, Owls. Hope you are all recovering well from the last two days festivities and frolicking!
ReplyDeleteCarol..the new layout is awesome! As is your blog! Thanks for a heartwarmer and many thanks for creating a place that has truly created friends!!
Tink..yes,thanks..my decision to turn around half way to the ferry this very blustery morning was a good one. My cozy, warm apartment was much better than being at a meeting in the big city!
Hope you have stayed warm and cozy by your fireplace!
just_lin....lovin' the new glasses! Stylin'!!
iteach...thanks for the description of Chuck E. Cheese...I have always heard about them but never been in one and now I am not sorry I have not had that chance! Hope you can rest your wings here for awhile and take a break!

VIG - Yes I stayed warm and cozy by the fire with my 'fur babies'. They made a quick dart out the back door and in again three times throughout the day and that was all the walk they got. This is a day that will go down in infamy I am sure of that. I am so glad you stayed home and off the slippery roads.

It is only 7:30 here but I think I will call it a day. I am off to watch some Walton DVD's and snuggle into a warm bed with my 'fur babies'. The fire has died down and I don't want to put on the furnace so I think I will pretend it's a winter night and put on the heavy flannelette pj's.
Have a good evening all owls where ever you are right now.
Love, Tinka
Australia, way too cool!
ReplyDeleteHave fun Want!
Good night sweet Tinka and Jodi!!
ReplyDeleteI wish you both sweet dreams!
Carol, I had a fun blog to send to you, but I lost it.

ReplyDeleteI love that movie, I also love Jennifer's Grey's nose in that movie. I never liked her nose job!
Good Evening and Good Night to some of the owls that are going to bed.
ReplyDeleteMO: Happy Passover to you.
CAROL; Happy Anniversary to your parents. How wonderful to be married to the same person for 56 years. I won't even make 50 years unless I add them together some day.
RONNIE: It was HOW BIG??? You know you have to give us details as time marches on or we just make them up ourselves and then we believe them!!
BEAR: If anyone is late next month it won't be too hard to figure out who daddy is..I didn't see any other men owls flying around here besides you and Joey. I am glad I am old and don't have to worry about that late stuff anymore. One of you might be answering to TINK..her little ZONA was the worst and gets the least blame for anything. She really has mommy Tink fooled!
JOEY: I am so glad you noticed I still had on my tassels. I thought maybe since you hadn't changed yet we could take one more whirl around the floor and then have our picture taken. Hope your date turns out tomorrow night. I don't know how excited I am to think about you dancing with someone else!!!
Jodi, our weather is crappy. Cold and rainy. Let's hope for better tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWell, I just totally posted in like a blog from February! LMAO
ReplyDeleteI am not sure it even went through!
It is pouring rain here and thundering, so I'm about to shutdown..I needed a favor! Please! lol
My brothers' band has a myspace band page and have released their FIRST single! They're so excited..I made a myspace bulletin with all of the details! For those who may not see it, would you please at your convenience, peep their page! They are so excited and I'm happy to support them!
Although the music is heavy, I think they're GREAT musicians! Thanks for letting me pimp their stuff on this magical owl blog! hehe
AGAINST ANGER
Have a great nite y'all!
ROFLMAO@Dianne! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry Joey and Whabby,
ReplyDeleteI ovulated last Saturday.
LMAO@iteach!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to your parents!! WOW!
Also Happy Anniversary to your parents Carol!!:)
Carol and Iteach Happy Anniversary to both of your parents. That's great! Also, best wishes to your sister and BIL, Iteach.
ReplyDeleteJoey I did go listen to your brothers' band. A little heavy for me but might be more my son's type of music. Good for them, though, for recording their first single.
I just made an awesome batch of chocolate chip cookies and I'm sharing it with all my owl friends.
ReplyDeleteThey are still warm!
Thank you, iteach. I'm bringing plenty of cold milk.
ReplyDeleteCarol: You shone through on the Rossblog ALL that time, believe me! I'll never forget the night, years ago (LOL!), when I mentioned "cpgem8" to JAC on chat, wondering if she knew anything about who the real person was behind the posts.
ReplyDeleteJAC immediately said something about "Carol". I was, like, great, she knows who "Cpgem8" is! I immediately asked her for contact information, and started to get to know you off the blog.
I hope you know that by the initiative you took here, in starting the owl's nest, you started to reveal the person "Cpgem8" is to everybody!
I could not be prouder of you!
OK, I'm about to get another glass of wine and toast you with huz right now!
I couldn't agree more Whabbear. Carol was always a friendly voice on the Ross Blog, especially on days when I felt like my voice was being skipped over from everyone. I knew from her kind remarks that Carol wasn't over looking me.
ReplyDeleteThanks again Carol... and Happy Anniversary to your parents. OMG, I can just imagine the wonderful feast your family put together. I STILL hope to be adopted by you all someday.
Well, I'm off to bed! I have a long day tomorrow (mostly writing my paper). Katie and I went to a friend's house for dinner and we watched a movie. I was able to do a little work on my paper earlier when Katie was at her friend's house. They are working on a science project. They have to create a working volcano for class (but the teacher wants to make sure there are no explosives or toxins in creating it). So, Katie and her friends came up with the idea of making it out of cakes! They will then have a cool-whip mixture (colored red) to project from it! The teacher is excited about their project (mostly because he likes to eat)! ; )
ReplyDeleteOK...going night, night, now!
At least I am ending on an even number! ; )
Night everyone! Hugs to all!

It's WAY too early in the desert!!
Sadly, we are on our way to the airport so that Barb can start her journey home!!
We had a great time - and I truely wish that it could be longer!!
We were just laughing that if we could have "partied" in the nest on Thursday - we could have gotten us way over 1500!! LOL anyway...
Glynis - We DID find the cheese!!
Hope everyone has an excellent Sunday!! :-)
