  2. Congrat's on 1st, Jax~

    I just saw the elevator you installed on the side of the tree, but noticed you must have broken it when you pushed the down button

  6. Good Morning Hooters.

    Congrats on 1st jax

    Love the Bloopers Shirley- I could watch them all day. I always liked the blooper specials that Dick Clard did.

    Off to slay the dragons. Ok, off to do some paperwork, but the dragon part sounded so much more exciting. :0)

  8. Good morning and congrats on 1st Jax! Thanks for installing the elevator cause I was getting damn tired of climbing up this tree all the time.Lol!

    Morning Ronnie!

    When Carol asked for help with the blogs and said we could just find videos I started looking and these two made me laugh so I thought I would share with y'all!

  10. Mornin' Everyone! Just boppin' through before I go to bed.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY HART!!

    SHIRLEY: Thanks for the blooper videos...they'll help me fall asleep with a smile on my face.

    My fave blooper reels are the ones they show after Burt Reynold's movies...they are always so funny. I think whenever you have a great ensemble cast in a comedy, you are going to get a great assortment of bloopers. Thanks again SHIRLEY!

    JAX: Congrats on FIRST...you slept in the elevator..didn't you?? ;)

    Good Morning RONNIE! LOL at your "e"!!

    BIRDEE: Soak those sore feet...or will that make broth?? ;)

    GOLDIE: I like 'slay the dragons' better too!

    SCIRISH: Good Morning to you!!

    OK..off to bed with me...I hope everyone has a wonderful day!! :)

    I have another busy busy day today! Crap off to the foodbank this morning and then a dentist appt. I forgot about this afternoon!

    Wishing all of you a wonderous day and if that isn't happening then have a drink and think about what a wonderous day would be like!

    G'morning Ronnie, Shirley, Jax, Birdee, Goldie, Scrishy and Zona!

    ReplyDelete
  20. OK, got caught up!

    Carol, why wasn't there a blooper up this morning of you breaking your hip while happy dancing?

    ReplyDelete
  21. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DONNA!!!!!!!!!

    Shirley, I will be no party to dumping water on her head when she gets home. Only because the last time you got me in so much trouble that my red 'ho shoe ended up Birdee's Ass!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Happy Birthday Donna

    I tried to make it pretty with musical notes but it wouldn't work for me today. So please picture the notes around it. Have a great one my friend.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Congrats on first Jax.

    Whabbear - I must have been behind a tree because you missed saying Good Morning to me.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Goldie: That would have been a blooper to remember!

    Tink: Sorry... check message at 10:23 AM!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Whabbear - You didn't miss me. I missed your post. I was going to pout all morning. As Sally Fields said at the Academy Awards, "You like me, you really do like me".

    Thanks for the Bloopers Shirley. I think starting the morning with a video or a song is all we need to wake us up. Carol should not have to get stressed finding or writing blogs for us. That Martha one was a hoot. I don't think you can beat the Carol Burnett bloopers. They were so funny they started including them in with their regular shows instead of doing a scene over again.

  26. Good morning Owls!
    Wow, what a day already! Crying kids, tearful parents, endless phone calls, new bus schedules to figure out, some kids already sick, some with new meds, mounds of paperwork.....And all this just before 10am! It was a wild morning, but I really enjoyed it. I got home around 10:30 and I have to go back again at 3pm.

    That gym was so freakin' hot! I am taking the Latchkey kids outside on the playground for evening Latchkey. I can just imagine how hot it will be by this afternoon!

    I wanted to do my paperwork in an air conditioned room this morning, instead of in the gym, but since we have a preschool there now, there isn't an extra inch of space. We voted for new schools but they're not even breaking ground on those until next year.

    Congrats on first Jax!

    Shirley: I loved the Martha bloopers! That video really had me smiling and laughing. The golf one was downright painful to watch.

    Thank you for the birthday wishes:
    Jax, Ronnie, birdee, scirish, and damn it Shirley! BAM! That water bucket just got me! It cooled me off though! So I guess I should thank you. :)

    Carol: Thank you for "singing" to me on the blog's opening page. That was so sweet of you.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Okay, I'm toweled off now.

    More birthday wishes! Thank zona, lynn d, Carol, Whabbear, goldie, & tinka! You all make me feel so loved and special.

    ReplyDelete
  28. See Hartldo I knew you would like my surprise. I knew it was hot at your school so I thought what better way to cool off than a nice bucket of ice water! Glad it refreshed you. Happy Birthday!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. You're so good to have around Shirley! :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'm going to enter the nest more carefully when I get off work tonight at 6pm though.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Donna - I always found it unbearably hot in the schools in September too. If we opened the doors and windows, the wasps flew in so you tried to teach in an oven. September was always worse than June for heat. Many an afternoon we would take our work outside and sit under the cool trees. It was either that or die of heat stroke. Iteach was talking about the heat yesterday too.

    Is anyone else having trouble this morning with myspace? I can't update my 'status' and when I click on the words like 'profile' it takes me to 'profile' instead of giving me choices like 'comments'.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yes, Tinka, I'm having all sorts of problems with MySpace AND facebook. UGH!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Donna - You do Facebook too? How do you get on Facebook? At our computer group they say Facebook is better than Myspace. Do you find that? I don't want to leave myspace because that is where all my friends are. Do you make new friends on Facebook?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Tinka: I really don't think facebook is better than MySpace. I like MySpace better. However, facebook is fun. I went over there because my son and DIL had an account. Then I got hooked on a lot of the applications. MySpace is now getting a lot of the same applications, but I am not doing them on MySpace. Too much to keep track of.
    So I just use the facebook account for fun.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh, and to answer your question Tinka, yes, I have made new friends on facebook.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hi all of you wonderful owls!!

    Shirley, loved the bloopers ~ nothing in the world is more distressing than taking you clothes off a hanger and having the hanger mark!! LOL The golf ones were hilarious!

    jax, congrats on first!

    Happy Birthday, Hart!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Happy WEdnesday!!

    Good Morning...

    Happy Birthday, Hart!!

    JAX - congrats on FIRST!! LOL at "top 1"

    Ronnie - thanks for tucking everyone in last night!!

    Waving howdy to Jax, Ronnie, Birdee, Goldie, Scirish, Shirley, Zona, Tinka, Lynn D, Cpgem, Whabby, Hart, and anyone else that lands!!

    Shirley - thanks for the bloppers - I always love watching those!! It's great to know that Martha can mess up!!

    Looks like it's going to get wet in here today - so I will furnish extra towels...

    I hope everyone has an excellent day!!
    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Boy one little bucket of water and everyone panics! Lol

    ***good thing no one has realized all their underware is in the freezer. He!He!He!***

    ReplyDelete
  39. Thanks for the birthday greetings gmoses & mek!

    Shirley: Those frozen underwear will probably feel great when I go back into that oven, I mean gym!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Thanks for the birthday gift Shirley. You left that 69 open for me! Gosh, that just sounds wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'll switch places with you if you don't tell Lynn D I short sheeted her bed?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Did you notice it took me two tries to get that 69? I'm not a pro yet, like most of you.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I have a ton of stuff to do around this house but, instead, I'm going to go take a cat nap. It's my b-day and I deserve it!
    Later y'all!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yeah the pros are definately K-girl, Jodi, Tina and Mek.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Whabbear why would you say I'm "evil"? My water bucket trick...I mean birthday surprise (he!he!he!) was just what Donna needed after being in that hot school.

    Just remember your wedding is coming up. AHHHHHHH HA!HA!HA! Anything can happen! Lol!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I don't think I said hello to

The second frig in the basement is full of jello shots. Enjoy!

  47. Good Morning, Hooters.

    Jax Congrats on #1 and #2. That doesn't sound quite right, does it?

    Shirley Thanks for the blog today and starting us off with some good laughs. It's sure nice to see Martha laughing and not being so darn perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Happy Wednesday Owls. We have a busy nest today.

    Shirley, Thanks for the early laughs.

    Jax, flying in first and using the elevator. Thanks for the muzak too. Good to see you here.

    Birdee, working overtime.

    Goldie, Hope the dragons aren't breathing fire, although that would bring the hunky firemen!

    Zona, Hope you get some good SLEEP today, or maybe some left-over pot pie!

    MEK, were you in any of those golf bloopers?

    Hart, I hope you have a very happy day for your birthday. Pamper yourself.

    Waving a wing at Tinka, Carol, Bear Grandma Moses and all who fly in later.

    I'm off to run errands. BBL.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Oh, and Shirley, how did you know I was having a craving for an egg salad sandwich? Thanks ever so much for bringing some. I'll have some of that iced tea, too, please.....with lemon, if you have it.

    ReplyDelete
  50. GM Just_Lin. You flew in while I was typing.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hi Sacbarb and Justlin!!

    Yes JustLin you can have some lemon with your ice tea. Here let me hand it to you ***adjusting squirt gun behind my back***.
    Here you go, nice and FRESH!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Shirley, you are breaking me up!

    Still, I'm starting to be afraid. I'm starting to be very afraid.

    Wedding? What wedding? LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Jax!
    Hey. Congrats on first! Great to see ya.
    Birdie
    Be careful!. Jax always seems to sneak up on you with that broiling pan or deep fryer.
    Shirley
    Great bloopers.
    Donna
    Happy birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Shirley
    You are awesome. To heck with eating. I'm going straight for the Jello shots. By dinner time I should be feeling really fine! :0)
    Wabbear
    care to join me and my hunky man owl for a Jello shot?!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Thanks for the birthday wishes sacbarb & Dreama!

    Gosh, that cat nap sure wasn't long enough! Yawn!!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Shirley! Thankfully, you didn't get my sandwich all wet and soggy! LOL Thanks for the "squirt" of lemon. I was just on my way to the shower, anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Hart I hope you're having an especially good day. Happy Birthday! Okay, going to shower now.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Shirley - You asked where was I while you were marching. I was hiding for fear I would get hit with a bucket of cold water. It isn't very warm here today so I didn't want to risk it. I was watching you however.
    Thanks for the chicken salad sandwich. I still have a Slim Fast left over from last time you left it so I will have both. Then a nap. See you crazy owls this afternoon.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Forgot to tell y'all that the cooks at school, who I am very good friends with, had a sign waiting for me in the gym this moring when I arrived. There were also 2 mylar balloons and some cards and a gift certificate for a massage! They know how much I love massages but hardly ever treat myself to one.
    I posted a picture here of me with my daughter. It was her first day of 5th grade so I took my camera with me so I could take her picture when my husband brought her to my school to catch the bus for her school.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Flying through have to jump in the shower and get ready for the Dentist!

    I feel like I was pecked to death by ducks today as we were so busy and many of our volunteers were busy talking over each other and hollering for help! LOL

    Shirley I read your posts and now I know why I felt like I had no undies on! Crap they are in your freezer! LMAO

    Ok will check back later!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hart What a cute sign they made for you. Love the picture of you and your daughter, too.

    Okay, time to get out the blow dryer and hair products.

    Shirley Fair warning, I'm now armed!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Woo Hoo!!! Couldn't just leave it hanging like that!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Happy Humpday y'all!!

    Congrats on 1st Jax..Good seeing you:)

    Great bloopers blog today Shirley! I miss the Dick Clark show "Bloopers and Practical Jokes"!

    Yesterday's blog was great too iteach! I will never forget the Challenger explosion..I was in History class and our teacher put it on the tv after they made the announcement over the intercom!

    What a sad day...Ron McNair was from SC not far from where I lived.. I also remember the teacher.

    I'll also never forget 9/11 of course...I also watched the sad coverage of Princess Diana's death...Like another owl said, I cringe when breaking news comes on the t.v.

    So sad about the airplane disaster in Madrid today..All 172 people feared dead:(

    ReplyDelete
  64. Oh and Mary, you cracked me up yesterday with your comment about "who,whom, is are".."I need to go back to school" haha

    I feel like I do sometimes too!! I was rofl at your comment!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. some comfort..I just read that 26 people have survived the crash:)

    It barely got off the ground and the passengers were told prior that they may need to change planes...Such a scary thought.....

    I flew for the first time to NYC last summer, as most of you know, and I really wanna do it again...but it's just so scary still!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Hi JAX: Nice to see your beautiful eye first thing in the morning twinkling at me!! Thanks for the elevator. I was wondering if we were ever going to be able to have one. What is the point in my handicap parking if I have to fly or climb a ladder to the top branch!!

    Happy Birthday HART. Very nice picture of you and your daughter.

    BIRDIE: Your feet are getting tired with those heels? WTH, I thought you wore one up your butt!! (that's what SHRILEY AND GOLDIE said)

    HMMMM, underwear in the freezer. Anyone mind if I throw Mr D's in there too? I thought he might enjoy the "lift" it would give him. I put my bra in too and I have the best perky boobs anyone has ever seen right now...ala natural!!! How about we just all wear our frozen underwear and drink jello shots later for HART'S bday?

    ZONA: You are kidding nobody. You ALWAYS go to sleep with a smile, Missy!

    Hey, I have another great idea---SHIRLEY, why don't you fill those soakers with vodka or something and then we will be lining up for our turn.

    I want to say hello to everyone as I don't have time right now to name all. I am on a quick trip home to get a few more clothes and other things as my daughter asked if I would stay until Monday. Her friends were coming to visit her this afternoon so I was able to leave for awhile...time enough for nails and wax and run home and now I am off before the kids get home from school.

    So again....HELLO EVERYONE!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Dianne I'm glad to see you are getting a little "me" time today. It was very considerate of Jax to put in that elevator for us less nimble owls. But weren't we just flying in, anyway? We are owls, after all.

    ReplyDelete
  68. JUSTLIN: Yes, we were flying in but sometimes my wings get tired and don't work as well as they once did..remember, I am about six months older than you and BONO!! This is what awaits you!! Now really....bye.

    ReplyDelete
  69. jello shots? Did I hear jello shots?? Count me in!

    Joey- the crash is very sad and very scary. As the mother of a flight attendant it always stops my heart to hear those things.

    Sacbarb- no hunky firemen today ;(

    Birdee- remember the shoes go on your FEET- it was such a mess last time.

    ReplyDelete
  70. HI Guys - Just flying through. We are back from our walk and thought I would take a peek in the nest. I will be back later to read comments. Hope everyone is having a fun day.

    ReplyDelete
  71. ***Good, they bought the story about the jello shots being in the second frig. Now all I have to do is set up this supersoaker to squirt them every time they open the door. He!He!He! If my plan works Whabbear will be one of the first. AHHHHHHHH HA!HA!HA! Calling me evil.***

    ReplyDelete
  72. Shirley, I'm flying in real quick before playing with the kids.

    Tonight I will watch your bloopers and I can't wait!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Shirley- watch out, I still have one good red 'ho shoe to stick up someones ass...... Aim that beast at someone else. I will be getting your corner of the naughty mat dusted off and ready for you!!

    Just to show I have a soft heart, I will leave you a pile of brownies. Please share with Bear when he gets there because I have no doubt that he will!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Dianne: Thanks for the birthday wishes Dianne & iteach! And thank you for the picture comments Dianne & just_lin!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Owls: I am much more afraid of dying in a traffic accident than of flying on an airplane. You should be, too.

    Today, while somewhere between 100 and 200 people died in the Spanish airplane crash, three thousand people died in traffic accidents.

    3000!

    Tomorrow, while it is almost a certainty that no one will die in an airplane crash, 3000 more people will be killed. Approximately 100 will be Americans.

    It's just staggering, when you think about it.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Ok Goldie I promise (crossing my fingers behind my back), I'll be good. I'll just go and watch the Olympics. Bye!

    ReplyDelete
  77. I just received this. I think it is worth sharing-

    Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote

    when asked to share her 'beauty tips.'

    It was read at her funeral years later.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    For attractive lips , speak words of kindness.
    For lovely eyes , seek out the good in people.
    For a slim figure , share your food with the hungry.
    For beautiful hair , let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
    For poise , walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone..
    People, even more than things, have to be restored,
    renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed;
    never throw out anyone.
    Remember, if you ever need a helping hand,
    you will find one at the end of each of your arms.
    As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands;
    One for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    ReplyDelete
  78. Jax - Congrats on first!

    Shirley - Thanks for the funny bloopers. They were so funny and my daughter loved the Martha Stewart ones, she needed a laugh too, she had a rough day.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HART!!!!!

    Hello to everyone who has come and gone today.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Tinka: I've seen that before and I LOVE it!

    Bebbi: Thank you for the b-day wishes!

    Whabby: You're so right about the statistics. It's just that falling from the sky seems like a much more horrible way to die.

    ReplyDelete
  80. *** heads towards second fridge, brownie in hand ***

    ReplyDelete
  81. Okay flying through with droopy wings. I have been all over tarnation today.

    I would like to report that this was the best dental visit ever. It did not start that way as I had to have my two front teeth restored as I had chipped them. My dentist doctor Bell, very nice lady, did the drilling to get them ready and then she had her new Dental Asst. do the actual work! Girls I felt no pain what so ever. This guy had the bluest eyes you have ever seen and wonderful salt and pepper hair with a great youthful face but handsome eye crinkles!!!! I will be thinking about chipping one or two more if Douglas is doing the work! LOL

    Ok I am exhausted I will see you all tomorrow as I am going to crash and maybe have some very sweet dreams!

    ReplyDelete
  82. I want to thank Jigglin'in Jax, Ronniegirl, Birdee, Goldie, Scirish, Zona, LynnD, Carol, Whabbear, Tinka, Mek, JustLin, SacBarb, Dreama, Joey, Dianne, Iteach and Bebbi for a fun day and the comments on the video bloopers. It is nice to know that even the great Martha Stewart screws things up sometimes.

    Hartldo I want to wish you once more Happy Birthday.

    You can all come out now. I have put away all the water stuff. Your underwear has been thawed and put away. I unshort sheeted LynnD's bed. All is back to normal in the nest.

    Have a good evening!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Crashing here soon too. Should've long ago. I have to get up at 4:45 a.m. and I work 12 hours tomorrow. 12 hours the next day too. You may not hear from me in a while.

    Thank you again, EVERYONE, for making my birthday a wonderful day!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Do all of you trust that SHIRLEY really went to bed and put everything away? I haven't seen BEAR since he went for that jello shot and that was a long time ago!

    ReplyDelete
  85. Oh I almost forgot about that Tina..I'm sure you do worry!

    Whabbear, how did you know that I made brownies tonight? lol..I dusted them with powdered sugar too! YUM!

    Brownies for everyone:)

    Although, I have a feeling that whabby's brownies have a "special" ingredient! LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  86. Dianne - you and I are thinking alike...

    I think I see Shirley hiding around the corner just waiting for us!!

    SacBarb - I didn't see myself in the golf blopper!! (thank goodness)

    I hope everyone has an excellent Thursday!!
    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  87. JOEY: I am so glad to see you. I couldn't figure out where everyone was tonight. I have been just wondering around looking for owls.

    ReplyDelete
  88. MEK: Are you already signing off for the night? The night is young....

    ReplyDelete
  89. Hey Dianne, MEK and anyone else in the bushes(We see you with the super soaker Shirley! haha)

    ReplyDelete
  90. Hi Dianne and Joey and anyone else still hanging out. Is Shirley hiding with her Super Soaker? Just don't get the brownies wet! What did happen to Bear? He was last seen going for the Jello shots, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  91. BTW, Dianne, I sent something for your granddaughter. Hmmmm, cowboy fetish just like her grandma. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  92. I am having difficulty posting tonight here and on myspace.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Joey - I am grabbing one of your brownies and heading off to bed. They aren't funny brownies are they? I don't do those.

    Good Night everyone, especially Zona who has a special day tomorrow. (Actually it's today on the East Coast.)
    I hope you aren't too excited to sleep.
    Love, Tinka

    ReplyDelete
  94. Two more hours here until ZONA's Birthday. Hmmm, what could we do to celebrate? We don't have to have more "pot pie" do we? I would venture to say she will have quite the swimming day tomorrow before MrZ goes to work---you know to get refreshed!

    ReplyDelete

  100. I'm heading off for my 12 hr work day! Yes, it's almost 6am and time to be there. You have to remember, I live one minute from school. Anyway, I won't be back on here for a LONG time, so I had to come here and leave some birthday advice for Zona. Watch out for Shirley and her surprise "gifts"! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZONA!
