I received this vid in my in box, with a very simply stated msg (see below), I cracked up when I read that the theme of this vid reminded Sacbarb of me. Now since its lent, I am not suppose be thinking of porn, however since it has puppets it in, I think it will be fine. I just ask that no one tells Tina. :O)
"Hi Cpgem8"
"I saw the musical Avenue Q today and this song totally reminded me of you. I thought you would enjoy this song video and maybe the Owls would like it too"

LYNND: I hope the meds work for you..I hate to see you suffering like this for so long.
Off to catch up on AREA 51...
ITEACH: I don't think I have ever seen a robin..I might have as a kid in PA..but I honestly don't remember. We do have pigeons..tons of them; doves, wrens, mockingbirds, big ol' scary crows and I even saw a roadrunner (meep-meep) a couple of times. I also saw a canary..but I think he was an escapee.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be 90 today..I think our Spring was in January...lol..
I loved your descriptions and your blog ITEACH..thank you!
LYNND: Ducks and frogs...mowing the lawn..(we have gravel)..sounds like a little bit of heaven to me.
GOLDIE: Unfortunately the only Cardinals I've ever seen wear shoulder pads. I think I'm missing out on some pretty birds here...though Kurt Warner is a cutie! ;)
MEK: The wildflowers in the desert really are gorgeous. Have you seen a century plant bloom yet? Unbelievable.
TINKA: Isn't it time for the daffodils?? My favorite flower!
J/LIN: Our wisteria is in bloom now..it is soooo pretty.
MARY: I googled the test you had..I was so worried about you. I'm sorry it caused you the pain it did. I hope that they will be able to help ease the pain of the pinched nerve.
BON'O: yid!! :)
DIANNE: JODI and I were the only ones you could stir up? Hmmmmm... ;)
TINA: Hope you are having a blast!
Zona ~ For some reason I thought you wrote The WIDOWERS in the desert really are gorgeous. I was thinking maybe I should tell my Mom...
ReplyDeleteHave to go get my party face on, we have a birthday party to go to and I have NO idea what to wear..The weather is really unstable this time of year....I guess I will just make like an onion and peel off the layers as necessary. Hope everyone has a great day!
Good morning OWLETTES!!!!!
ReplyDeleteScirsh.. Congrats on 1st...

Sorry the previous post was from AREA 52...this is from AREA 51
ReplyDeleteCPGEM: I loved your video. Such a sweet reminder and tribute to your friend Joanie. Thank you for sharing your love for her and your memories with us.
Did you know the offshoot of the aloe plant is called a 'pup'? I think that is so sweet.
JODI: I'm glad your daughter is feeling better! There is dishwashing help on the way..look for it! ;)
MARY: How is Jaimie doing, Auntie? :)
SCIRISH: It was too cold to go swimming..but we adapted.. ;)
EBJ: I'm so glad Paula is doing better!!! Hooo-ahh!! :D
SACBARB: I LOVE that you were be-boppin!! :)
J/LIN: I hope your flight was a smooth one!
BONACCI: I have BP spikes that raise mine as high as yours..even with medication. It's very scary. I hope the new RX works!!
LYNND: Again..I hope you feel better. Your description of the doctor visit cracked me up!
CPGEM: I just couldn't end this without congratulating you on your 69 last night... ;)
Carol... from area 51..

ReplyDeleteSCIRISH: Well..the widowers in the desert ARE pretty snazzy...ijs..lol..
ReplyDeleteHI IBB! I love that Spring means planning your outdoor parties! LOL..
Mr. Z and I saw "Knowing" yesterday starring Nick Cage..I just love him. I don't want to go into any detail..but it was very different.
Good Morning All
ReplyDeleteRushing out to an appointment. I will be back later in the day to watch the video.
Zona-my-Baby - Yes the beautiful daffodils are finally coming out. It is very late this year. I love them and you.

ReplyDeleteToo cold to swim in the pool, IBB..lol..the water is in the 50's cuz the nights are still cool and the ground is cold. We don't have a heater for the pool.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning TINKA!!! I hope you see this before you rush away! Love you too! :)
ReplyDeleteZona.. O.K. that makes sense... i was just thinking at 90* I would be looking for a pool..
ReplyDeleteI forget, water temps..
SACBARB: To ammend my first post..I can just imagine CPGEM's reaction when she heard the song..AND saw the video. I really meant to write that..sheesh..
ReplyDeleteIBB: I actually tested it..brrrrr..I can't imagine getting in any deeper than my toe! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou have the most beautiful flowers in your yard..I hope they will all be ok with the weather changing the way it did. I'm not much of a gardener..so I'm not sure if there is a way for you to protect them or not. I hope there is!
Good morning!
ReplyDeleteWow Scirish squeaked by and got
1st, congrats! And congrats to Shirley for a very close 2nd!
That was a funny video, perfect for Carol!
MEK I forgot to ask you last night when I posted how your MEK dinner was?? haha :)
MR. EBJ started digging up part of our yard yesterday to plant some veggies.
I think this will be the first time he has planted a garden, he is so excited!
IBB I love daffodils, and didn't plant any at this house. I must remember to do that this year!
At our other house, I planted all kinds of bulbs, tulips, daffodils, lilies, and they are just gorgeous.
Will check back later, gotta do some stuff!
Hope everyone has a nice day!
GOLDIE: I hope you have a magical day with your grandbabies!
ReplyDeleteEBJ: Can I come visit your flower and veggie garden? Ours never survive. :(
BBL...
A quick fly in to invite everyone to go to the park with us at 12:30.
ReplyDeleteWe will be armed with kites and sandwiches. I love kite flying day!

ReplyDeletefun choice!! thanks for sharing that with us today!!
ok - I'm out for errands and meeting a friend for a few hours of scrapbooking...
Morning/afternoon everyone.
ReplyDeleteMek I doing ok, thanks for asking. I spoke with mum last night. I asked her if she wanted to talk about anything and she said no but then she asked me the same question and I also said no. Not really sure what to say to her and I don't want to get upset around her. I did her income tax last night and couldn't help but think that next year I will probably be doing a Final Return for her. Made me a bit teary.
When Mek said "let's go fly a kite" I thought I would find the lyrics to that song.
ReplyDeleteWith tuppence for paper and strings,
you can have your own set of wings.
With your feet on the ground,
you're a bird in flight!
With your fist holding tight,
to the string of your kite!
Let's go fly a kite
Up to the highest height
Let's go fly a kite
And send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere
Up where the air is clear
Oh, let's go fly a kite!
When you send it flying up there,
all at once your lighter than air!
You can dance on the breeze,
over 'ouses and trees!
With your fist 'olding tight,
to the string your kite!
Let's go fly a kite
Up to the highest height
Let's go fly a kite
And send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere
Up where the air is clear
Oh, let's go fly a kite!
Good Morning/Afternoon everyone.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your well wishes for my friend Nancy the other day. All of you have been in my thoughts for good health and happiness.
LYNN - I do hope you will be well sooner than later. This winter respiratory bug seems to last for a long time.
P.S. My thoughts are always with the four legged family owls also.
Happy Saturday Owls.
ReplyDeleteI am emptying the China Cabinet so we can move it to paint the kitchen. I am so tired of doing this. I have settled on a mint green for the kitchen proper and a light taupe for the eating area and the one wall that connects them. I really wanted yellow (so I could have yellow in my life everyday), but it just didn't look good with the cabinets.
I'm glad you all liked the video, especially you Carol. I even told Sharon at intermission that this song made me think of you and I was going to have to find it on Youtube so I could send it to you.
I really liked the show and I would see it again. I didn't know what to expect when I read about it. Even though there are puppets in it, it is NOT for kids. There is a lot of adult content, although it is tasteful and very funny.
Scirish, Congrats on #1. I hope you are feeling well these days.
ReplyDeleteShirley, almost #1. So good to see you back in the nest. I am still keeping you and you Mum in my thoughts.
LynnD, I had the same thought about whoever wrote that song. Are the meds working for you at all?
Zona, One of my neighbors has a century plant and I have seen it bloom once. It was really beautiful (and huge).
IBB, I hope your flowers survive the changing weather.
EBJ, It will be nice to have fresh veggies from your own garden. My hubby loved to plant a garden and we used to feed the whole neighborhood because we couldn't eat all the stuff fast enough.
Iteach, Have fun flying kites.
MEK, I would rather be scrapping today. Have fun.
Lani, I hope your friend is doing better.
J/L, I hope you had a good flight.
Tinka, Waving a wing at ya.
Waving to all the other Owls that land, also. BBL

ATTN KMART SHOPPERS:
ReplyDeleteThe previous post is from GOLDIE!!!
She didn't realize I was still logged in!!!
Back to your regularly scheduled blog!!
:O) :O~ :O~
MEK...The Basset Hound is being a typical "hound". He is very smart, knows all his commands, but only responds when HE wants too. Yesterday, he thought it might be nice to be a mail dog, that of course had NOTHING to do with the fact that the mailman carries cookies!!
ReplyDeleteHi Everybody..just a quick swoop in because I am at my Daddy's house.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on first Scrishy!
Shirley, congrats on second! :)
Scirish...
ReplyDeleteCongrats on First...
Shirley..
Wow.. so close, actually the same time.. so Congrats to you as well..
Zona,
If you don't tell, and I don't tell, and none of the other owls tell, there is no way she could ever find out.. :O)
Goldie...
ReplyDeleteHow fun "drunk blogging" Love it..
So very glad JodiHo's hanging out with you.. Fun!
Scirish,
ReplyDeleteI don't know much about Hounds, but I would say from your post, they have a stubborn streak, don't they have a deep bark as well?
Swooping in too, just to reassure everybody that I never use the internet for porn.
ReplyDeleteSacbarb...
ReplyDeleteSo funny how things around us, remind us of someone.. There are so many things thru out days that remind me of the owls... And it is even more funny that porn reminds you of me..
Thanks for thinking of me in the most endearing way, as you watched Ave Q..
:O)
Whabby...
ReplyDeleteFunny Joke.. LOL
I had a very low key day 2day, I don't remember the last time I had a day such as 2day.. I hardly did anything... Walmart run, lunch, pedi, home..
ReplyDeleteThat's it..
It was good to have some down time, but I realized 2day, I much rather be running around, it is def more me..
Oh, I also realized with down time comes lots of picking on all sorts of food.. NOT good..
I am going to read for a bit, I am still reading "The hour I first believed" It is a long book 700 or so pages.. At times I can't put it down, and at times I find myself flipping thru pages.. I have to finish it tho, as I put two much into it.. Not sure I would recommend it tho.. as I don't love it, but then I don't mind it..
Hope everyone had a good day...
ZONA - Cutest damn dishwashing angel!!! THANK YOU!!!
ReplyDeleteJust got home.....had so much fun watching Brynn & Gavin open their b'day gifts!!! And totally luv'd all the hugs and kisses!! Can I just say I ♥ GOLDIE'S Mom?!!? INGA is the best....♥
Carol: ;)
ReplyDeleteGood evening feathered friends!!
ReplyDeleteLong day today...I worked then met a friend for dinner. There is a chain of Mexican restaurants called Chipotle and they put brown bags in newspapers last weekend. If you took the bag to any location you got a FREE burrito! We got 2 bags, so 2 burritos! I brought half home cause they are HUGE! So, two meals for free!!! YIPPEE!!
SACBARB...I LOVED Avenue Q! I saw it on Broadway a few years ago and laughed my ass off! My favorite song was It Sucks To Be Me! Joni and I always say that to and about each other, so I bought the t-shirts afterwards! So much fun!
SCIRISH...congrats on 1st, even though you had to run over SHIRLEY to get it!
CAROL...aside from the grazing, it sounds like you had a lovely day.
LYNN...sorry you are still illin'. That sucker is lingering on for what seems like forever. I woke up with my sinuses draining. I hope it stops by Monday.
ZONA...maybe you and Mr. Zona can get wet suits so you can swim all year!! Oh wait...you don't really swim with Mr. Z in the pool!!
WHABBY...yeah, right! And I am still really 29!!
IBB...whenever I see your "owlettes" my eyes always see "omlettes! I chuckle every time!
Does anyone know where RONNIE is hiding out??????
GOLDIE and JODI...sounds like an AWESOME day!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my I don't have any sound right now.
ReplyDeleteI will have to have hubby take a looky so that I can hear Avenue Q.
Shirley,
ReplyDeleteI loved your lyrics to "Let's go Fly a Kite"!
I absolutely love Mary Poppins.
EBJ- How exciting a garden! That is next on my list in the future. What will he be planting?

ReplyDeleteWow, someone just left that hanging out there..woot woot.
ReplyDeleteShirley: I hope you are doing okay. Thinking and praying for your Mom.
ReplyDeleteZona: I had a cardinal sit on my bosses windowsill at work. I posted the video on myspace. It is really upclose and you can here its call. After I videotaped it, I played it back to the bird and it was calling to its own call. It couldn't see us because the windows are tinted.
ReplyDeleteJodi, Sounds like you had fun @ Goldie's.
ReplyDeleteGoldie, Sounds like you had fun too. Loved the drunk blogging.
Bear, I totally believe you!
Mo, My son took me to Chipotle in San Diego and you are so right about how huge the burritos are.
ReplyDeleteI also liked the song What do you do with a BA in English, since that's what my degree is in.
Ronnie is probably fishing. LOL

ReplyDeleteHi!! I've had company since Friday afternoon and they are leaving tomorrow so I haven't had time to stop in. I did just scan the comments and want to say something to all of you but I must go to bed so I can get up early to make breakfast. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteI went up in a hot air balloon tonight!! It was tethered (or my hinder would never have been in that basket!!) and we went up about 50 feet or so. It was awesome and so very pretty. We took pictures so I'll see if I can download them from my phone.
I hope to catch up tomorrow--I hope all of you are having a great weekend!
Good evening everyone. I have been soooo busy. Yesterday I had lunch with my Niece Jaimie. I bought her some job interviewing cloths. It was fun watching her try on all the suits. It did my heart good to see her smiling again. She told me she is a lot more on the alert now. She realizes how careless she has been in the past.
ReplyDeleteShe is taking self defense classes. She will be fine in time.
After I dropped her off in Grand Rapids, I drove 70 miles north to my ex SIL's birthday party.
Today I had to help set up and serve dinner at our VFW and then do Karaoke for 3 hrs. Tomorrow is my "I ain't doing a dam thing day" lol!!
Zona my sweet Niece. Do you want to shopping too lol!
I noticed today that I am all black and blue from all the "zapping" done to me!
Shirley, I loved the "Lets go Fly a Kite" song.
