I received this vid in my in box, with a very simply stated msg (see below), I cracked up when I read that the theme of this vid reminded Sacbarb of me. Now since its lent, I am not suppose be thinking of porn, however since it has puppets it in, I think it will be fine. I just ask that no one tells Tina. :O)

    ITEACH: I don't think I have ever seen a robin..I might have as a kid in PA..but I honestly don't remember. We do have pigeons..tons of them; doves, wrens, mockingbirds, big ol' scary crows and I even saw a roadrunner (meep-meep) a couple of times. I also saw a canary..but I think he was an escapee.

    It's going to be 90 today..I think our Spring was in January...lol..

    I loved your descriptions and your blog ITEACH..thank you!

    LYNND: Ducks and frogs...mowing the lawn..(we have gravel)..sounds like a little bit of heaven to me.

    GOLDIE: Unfortunately the only Cardinals I've ever seen wear shoulder pads. I think I'm missing out on some pretty birds here...though Kurt Warner is a cutie! ;)

    MEK: The wildflowers in the desert really are gorgeous. Have you seen a century plant bloom yet? Unbelievable.

    TINKA: Isn't it time for the daffodils?? My favorite flower!

    J/LIN: Our wisteria is in bloom now..it is soooo pretty.

    MARY: I googled the test you had..I was so worried about you. I'm sorry it caused you the pain it did. I hope that they will be able to help ease the pain of the pinched nerve.

    Zona ~ For some reason I thought you wrote The WIDOWERS in the desert really are gorgeous. I was thinking maybe I should tell my Mom...

    Have to go get my party face on, we have a birthday party to go to and I have NO idea what to wear..The weather is really unstable this time of year....I guess I will just make like an onion and peel off the layers as necessary. Hope everyone has a great day!

    I thought spring was here ... it was in the 70's on Wednesday... yesterday and today it is 30 couple... had the windows open on wednesday... now we have the wood stove going again!!!

    I saw a daffodil on thursday... hope they don't get frozen and die!!!

    Did you know the offshoot of the aloe plant is called a 'pup'? I think that is so sweet.

    Too cold to swim in the pool, IBB..lol..the water is in the 50's cuz the nights are still cool and the ground is cold. We don't have a heater for the pool.

    You have the most beautiful flowers in your yard..I hope they will all be ok with the weather changing the way it did. I'm not much of a gardener..so I'm not sure if there is a way for you to protect them or not. I hope there is!

    MR. EBJ started digging up part of our yard yesterday to plant some veggies.

    I think this will be the first time he has planted a garden, he is so excited!

    IBB I love daffodils, and didn't plant any at this house. I must remember to do that this year!

    At our other house, I planted all kinds of bulbs, tulips, daffodils, lilies, and they are just gorgeous.

    Will check back later, gotta do some stuff!

    Morning/afternoon everyone.

    Mek I doing ok, thanks for asking. I spoke with mum last night. I asked her if she wanted to talk about anything and she said no but then she asked me the same question and I also said no. Not really sure what to say to her and I don't want to get upset around her. I did her income tax last night and couldn't help but think that next year I will probably be doing a Final Return for her. Made me a bit teary.

    Happy Saturday Owls.

    I am emptying the China Cabinet so we can move it to paint the kitchen. I am so tired of doing this. I have settled on a mint green for the kitchen proper and a light taupe for the eating area and the one wall that connects them. I really wanted yellow (so I could have yellow in my life everyday), but it just didn't look good with the cabinets.

    I'm glad you all liked the video, especially you Carol. I even told Sharon at intermission that this song made me think of you and I was going to have to find it on Youtube so I could send it to you.

    I really liked the show and I would see it again. I didn't know what to expect when I read about it. Even though there are puppets in it, it is NOT for kids. There is a lot of adult content, although it is tasteful and very funny.

    Zona, One of my neighbors has a century plant and I have seen it bloom once. It was really beautiful (and huge).

    EBJ, It will be nice to have fresh veggies from your own garden. My hubby loved to plant a garden and we used to feed the whole neighborhood because we couldn't eat all the stuff fast enough.

    MEK...The Basset Hound is being a typical "hound". He is very smart, knows all his commands, but only responds when HE wants too. Yesterday, he thought it might be nice to be a mail dog, that of course had NOTHING to do with the fact that the mailman carries cookies!!

    I had a very low key day 2day, I don't remember the last time I had a day such as 2day.. I hardly did anything... Walmart run, lunch, pedi, home..

    That's it..

    It was good to have some down time, but I realized 2day, I much rather be running around, it is def more me..

    Oh, I also realized with down time comes lots of picking on all sorts of food.. NOT good..

    I am going to read for a bit, I am still reading "The hour I first believed" It is a long book 700 or so pages.. At times I can't put it down, and at times I find myself flipping thru pages.. I have to finish it tho, as I put two much into it.. Not sure I would recommend it tho.. as I don't love it, but then I don't mind it..

    Good evening feathered friends!!

    Long day today...I worked then met a friend for dinner. There is a chain of Mexican restaurants called Chipotle and they put brown bags in newspapers last weekend. If you took the bag to any location you got a FREE burrito! We got 2 bags, so 2 burritos! I brought half home cause they are HUGE! So, two meals for free!!! YIPPEE!!

    SACBARB...I LOVED Avenue Q! I saw it on Broadway a few years ago and laughed my ass off! My favorite song was It Sucks To Be Me! Joni and I always say that to and about each other, so I bought the t-shirts afterwards! So much fun!

    SCIRISH...congrats on 1st, even though you had to run over SHIRLEY to get it!

    CAROL...aside from the grazing, it sounds like you had a lovely day.

    LYNN...sorry you are still illin'. That sucker is lingering on for what seems like forever. I woke up with my sinuses draining. I hope it stops by Monday.

    ZONA...maybe you and Mr. Zona can get wet suits so you can swim all year!! Oh wait...you don't really swim with Mr. Z in the pool!!

    WHABBY...yeah, right! And I am still really 29!!

    IBB...whenever I see your "owlettes" my eyes always see "omlettes! I chuckle every time!

    Zona: I had a cardinal sit on my bosses windowsill at work. I posted the video on myspace. It is really upclose and you can here its call. After I videotaped it, I played it back to the bird and it was calling to its own call. It couldn't see us because the windows are tinted.

    Mo, My son took me to Chipotle in San Diego and you are so right about how huge the burritos are.

    I also liked the song What do you do with a BA in English, since that's what my degree is in.

    Hi!! I've had company since Friday afternoon and they are leaving tomorrow so I haven't had time to stop in. I did just scan the comments and want to say something to all of you but I must go to bed so I can get up early to make breakfast. Ugh.

    I went up in a hot air balloon tonight!! It was tethered (or my hinder would never have been in that basket!!) and we went up about 50 feet or so. It was awesome and so very pretty. We took pictures so I'll see if I can download them from my phone.

    Good evening everyone. I have been soooo busy. Yesterday I had lunch with my Niece Jaimie. I bought her some job interviewing cloths.It was fun watching her try on all the suits. It did my heart good to see her smiling again. She told me she is a lot more on the alert now. She realizes how careless she has been in the past.
    She is taking self defense classes. She will be fine in time.

    After I dropped her off in Grand Rapids, I drove 70 miles north to my ex SIL's birthday party.
    Today I had to help set up and serve dinner at our VFW and then do Karaoke for 3 hrs. Tomorrow is my "I ain't doing a dam thing day" lol!!

    Zona my sweet Niece. Do you want to shopping too lol!
    I noticed today that I am all black and blue from all the "zapping" done to me!

    Shirley, I loved the "Lets go Fly a Kite" song.

    Now I have to go back and watch the video so some of the comments will make sense lol!
