I remember the initial disappointment in not being able to play Little League like my brother. The hardest thing for me was that I felt like I was better than him when we played in the neighborhood. I don’t want to see women let down by society and not be able to fulfill all of their aspirations because of society’s need to keep males and females in boxes. This little story wasn’t about my breasts, but it got me to thinking about how my body, in particular my chest region, has shaped my life.
I got to wanting to write this blog because I was at work and started thinking about how my big boobs have held me back all my life. I liked to run and play sports but when I got my boobs they bounced so much that it embarrassed me and I quit running. I get treated differently because of my boobs and I have found myself “dumbing” down to keep with people’s image of me. I see where people try to fit into the boxes that others create for them. It is time to step outside the box.
One of my first experiences with boys was in the library in sixth grade. Some other boys dared one boy to come up and grab my boob. I was so embarrassed and appalled. I went to a teacher and it went to the principal and the boy had to go for counseling. His name was Jeff and he lived right across the street from me. From that time forward, my boobs held me back and I had no idea of the power they held until I was in my 30’s and 40’s! There was never any holding my boobies in, they have a life of their own!
When I was young and they were perky, men could only see my boobies. I spent most of my adolescent years and twenties with men and boys looking at them instead of my eyes. About 8 years ago I was at the bookstore working and a girl came in with very attractive breasts. I realized that if I had only realized how attractive they were I could have so used that to my advantage instead of to my disadvantage. So many young women these days realize the asset that their large breasts can be. But they come at a price too. I wonder if the people who have breast implants have noticed the price they pay for getting them? Maybe it is a figment of my imagination or my excuse to take the easier path?
Overall, I love my body. I especially am happy to have been losing this weight (as most of you are aware). I have never been comfortable in my femininity and it is ironic that now that I am older and getting hairs in unwanted places and sagging all over the place, I am finally comfortable in my womanhood! Boobies Rock!
In the future, and for all the young females I meet. I am going to make sure they do not get held back by being a woman. I will do whatever I need to do to help them understand that they can run, play ball, and be who they want to be regardless of their body and society’s constraints.
1~
ReplyDeleteyou have got to be kidding me! This blog has been up for 14 minutes! I'm just taking first! Too bad, so sad~
ReplyDeleteor are you just trying to give it to me so you can say I cheaqted?
ReplyDeleteI don't want it anymore! so there! Ha!~
ReplyDeletehmmmmmm....bebbi~ I just read the blog....and uh....i just have to say....i don't have any boobies....especially now that I've been losing weight~ I was getting dressed this morning and made a mental note to self: Buy new bras....smaller ones~ (I'm not sure they make those anymore!) Anyway, I've never EVER had the problems you had! And the reason I never played Little League is because I SUCK AT SPORTS!~ :)~
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!! WAS I LEFT BEHIND???!!!!!
ReplyDeleteoh that's just silly....there's no way that's even possible!!!!!!~
ReplyDeleteisn't it? :|
ReplyDeleteGood morning TINA!
ReplyDeleteoh thank God, Mo~ good morning~
ReplyDeleteMorning Glories!
ReplyDeleteTina Tina Tina! I think you doth protest to much! Congrats on First! :)
Bebbi I always felt sorry for the seriously big breasted girls when I was in jr. high and high school. Tho I did wish they would share as I was an A cup. LOL
Silly what society dictates to women. At times it drives me crazy and boobs and a vagina should not hold any of us back we are not the sum of our parts!!
You go Girl!!!!!
Hi Mo hows your boobs hangin'?
Tina I only asked Mo because you already told us in your post that yours don't hang.
ReplyDeleteLYNN..they're a-saggin and a-floppin and a-droopin and a-droppin! And how are yours? LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteTINA...if scrapbooking was a sport, you'd win an Olympic gold!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning!
ReplyDeleteBEBBI: I never had boobs until I gained weight..now they're like hanging baskets! Mr Z doesn't seem to mind though..in fact he's kinda happy with the situation. Well, I have news for him..the weight is coming off..and the boobs will be the first thing to shrink. I guess from here on out if he wants big boobs..he'll have to grow his own... ;)
TINA: Congrats on FIRST! Give it back? Nah... ;)
HI MO! HI LYNND!
Good Morning Hooters!!
ReplyDeleteCongrat (snert, snort, snicker) on 1st tina~
Sitting here watching Dora in the hotel room. Kiddies had a sleepover last night, we went swimming, out to dinner and then a bubble bath and snuggle while Grandpa read books to them. Doesnt' get better than that!!
lets not discuss the sad fact of my boobs........... but great blog anyway!
Have a great day everyone- I'll be home tomorrow...sniff, sniff
Oh my,boobies day! Mine used to point up,then kinda straight ahead, now they sadly are peeking towards my toes! Happily they are not ready to be folded and tucked in my bra!!
ReplyDeleteBebbi, I "blossomed" at the age of 12. I was always ashamed of my boobies and hunched over trying to hide them. I, like you didn't realize their "power" until too late! LOL!!!
Whabbear, ahem, any comments today lol!
Eunice,You could have 56 DDD and no one would notice with that look you have today!ijs
Today I waiting for a contractor to give me an estimate on new kitchen cupboards. I have been hinting "heavily" to Mr Mary for years that I hate my "welfare" looking cupboards! Well I decided I have waited long enough and decided to move things along by calling a contractor. I sure hope the estimate doesn't scare the Mr.! lol!
Zona,ROTF,"Mr Zona will have to grow his own!!
ReplyDeleteGOLDIE: OK...the "Good Morning Hooters" made me laugh today!! :D
ReplyDeleteMARY: Let me know what technique you use to 'persuade' Mr Mary to ok the new cupboards with a smile..cuz I'm gonna use it on Mr Z...our cupboard doors are awful!! Unfortunately Mr Z thinks he can re-finish them himself..omg..help me..LOL!!
Mary: LOL! I was thinking that when Bebbi was a teenager and didn't want her boobs to have power... then she should have hung around the Gay/Straight alliance, and then when she did want them to be powerful, she should have shunned the GSA!
ReplyDeleteGood morning to you, Heidi, Tina, 'weenie, and Lynn D!
Zona: Poor Randy! Life if so cruel sometimes!
Morning All!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't forget you all, I swear! Life has been unbeleivably weird lately, and not in a good way!
Bebbi...I had the "boob problem" too while growing up. They kinda popped up in sixth grade and I was the only one that had them then. The boys used to chant "Don't squeeze the Charmin" whenever I was around and dared me to prove that they were real. Of course, I couldn't.
I am rather short, so finding clothes that were stylish and not the sort my grandmother would wear was also a problem. Still, even in the day of implants, it's hard to find a bra with cute straps in my size. They all look like armored catapults! All and all, I'm comfortable with them now, as long as the damn things stay in the general vicinity they are supposed to be in and don't migrate like my eyebrows seem to be trying to do.
Hi to ZONA, WHABBY, MARY and GOLDIE!
ReplyDeleteZONA...and in which 3 minutes of spare time Mr. Z has is he going to refinish the cabinets?!? ija! I'll keep positive thoughts for that! ;)
MARY...You just want some hunky carpenters around!!
GOLDIE...Enjoy the rest of the time with your babies!
WHABBY...As hard of a time teenage girls have with big boobies, teenage boys with big moobies have it even worse
Goldie~ you really make me laugh~
ReplyDeleteMO,I give...what are moobies? Are those man-boobs?
ReplyDeleteGood Morning All!
ReplyDeleteGreat subject Bebbi!! lmao
Tina...honey....they make what you want...it called "Little Angel"...
I had one when I was a girl...started wearing it when I was about 10 and would stand in front of the mirror waiting...."WHOA...COME ON...GET IN THERE!!"
And when they did...omg.....it was like when the incredible hulk starts bursting out of his clothes!!
So Bebbi I can relate to the early years...the stares....the whistles...the names...the sex..OMG..I mean it was like a HEX on me.....my mind does wonder....ahem...
Even at this stage in life sometimes I feel insecure about the twins....like last year when I went for my mamogram.....I was referred to as Tittie-Tittie-Bang-Bang by the male tech.......
I am no stranger to plastic surgery having had a face lift and a neck job..sclerotherapy and just little things here and there....but when I decided to have my sagging boobs lifted...I was very pleased....I just can't decide if I like my "patch" being above my belly button.......or not.
Good Morning, Hooters! I've not read today's blog yet - just finished reading yesterday's comments.
ReplyDeleteJust Lin; You had a response to the single comment that I made yesterday. In essence, you said that just because something can't be proven to exist doesn't mean it doesn't. I agree in the equal opportunity proof theory. Maybe you can't prove something exists, but you can't prove it doesn't, either. So my answer to the whole superior being question is, "I don't know".
Tina; I think you cheaqted.
Well, that was a pleasant subject. Boobs! I knew girls in Jr. and Sr. High who were amply developed. I felt bad for them because the boys made fun of them.
ReplyDeleteI'll never forget one gal named Yvette. What she lacked in height, she made up for in boobs. She refused to be embarassed. I admired her courage to confront all the whispers. She grew to be a beautiful woman. Inside and out.
Tina, what's the deal with poor Eunice? She looks like she's early for a Fright Fest.
ReplyDeleteTina See what happens when you wear that stuff on your face? Everyone is afraid to come in. We all know you aren't a cheaqter. **cough, cough** Congrats!
ReplyDeleteBebbi Great blog! I guess I have always been pretty average in the boob department. I have a little bit of cleavage now, but only because I am overweight. Hopefully, I will eventually get down to my goal weight and my boobs will be back to looking like average sized, half-empty water balloons. Breast feeding didn't do my figure any favors. Boobs do have power but only because men are soooooo easy! LOL
DeeDee I believe you got 25! Congrats and BAM!
ReplyDeleteWaving at Bonach, MO, Goldie, Mary, LynnD, Zona, Scirish, and Bear.
That's okay BonaCHICHI~ I think ur a whore~ :D
ReplyDeleteJ/L~ STOP COUGHING!!!!!
DeeDee~ i thought you were bald?~ ijs~
ReplyDeleteTina I have no idea what you're talking about. **cough**
ReplyDeleteTina Apparently, DeeDee wasn't bald.....she just misplaced it because it was hiding under her boobs.
ReplyDeleteJ/L~ is there something long and throbbing stuck in your throat? You seem to be choking!~
ReplyDeleteCongrats on first Tina!
ReplyDeleteThanks all for the comments on todays blog! I am work so I will come back later. Hope everyone is having a good day!
Hi Bebbi~ We are all having a boobiliscious day~ :D
ReplyDeleteTina, I think it is Jodi having the orgasms over m&ms on FB !!
ReplyDeleteTina, all your friends are whores. I am honored to be a member of that club.
ReplyDeleteI was on a field trip one year that included my daughter and 2 other girls. I was den mother and took the girls to a beach in Croatia the guys had recommended. I almost fainted when we got there because for some reason, the women can't be bothered to wear their bathing suit tops.
Bonacci...
ReplyDeleteI am honored to.. :O)
Tina..
ReplyDeleteHappy 1~
:O)
Waving @ all above me, and all below me..
ReplyDeleteTina..
ReplyDeleteYou said:
"We are all having a boobiliscious day~ :D"
You totally crack me up..
LMAO..
Bebbi..
ReplyDeleteMy boobs have been reduced, I had the plastic surgeon cut some off of each about 7yrs ago, it was the best thing I ever did. My health insurance covered the whole procedure. I was so tried of being stared at, and having to place them in just the right place for comfort sitting, standing or sleeping, I could only wear certain bras and I hated that I could not wear a bra with two back hooks, they were always three or four.. Plus by shoulders were getting those marks.. but my back did not hurt, however I did lie to surgeon, I told him my back did hurt, cause I wanted to be covered by my insurance, I surly did not have a extra 5grand lying around..
Is that fraud? :O)
So where was I, oh yea best thing I ever did, I even had some issues due to the surgery, but I would still do it again..
TinaHO!
ReplyDeleteThanks for yesterdays blog, sorry I was MIA, I am PMSing, and needed to be quiet, cause if not, I probably would have bashed in a brain or two..
Hmm.. I was just thinking, after the surgery mine were very perky, I kinda miss that, I wish they were perky again..
ReplyDeleteOh, and all my bras.. 2 back hooks and from Victoria Secret, never could do that before..
OK, I gotta go...
Tonite I am going to the gym, I have not been there in about 4days, and then watching DWTS..
Hope all is enjoying their day..
Goldie.. Fun! enjoy your family
See ya all later..
Hi Everyone.....When I was a teen all the neighborhood boys called me flat chested. In that day and age I don't really think the girls were as developed as they are today. After I had two children, my boobs grew and never were small again. I certainly know as today that the weight doesn't help either but in those days I didn't have a weight issue. I would like them a little smaller but I can live with it...just would like them a little higer.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your blog today BEBBI. My daughter has always had problems with very large breasts and I know she would like a reduction. I think I will tell her to check with her dr and insurance like CAROL.
ZONA...you over yesterday yet? I haven't seen my congratulations on the blog, fb, email, voicemail...nothing. You and SACBARB must be hibernating (although I did see your post).
Today is an absolute do nothing day for me..more than usual. We were too busy over the weekend and then I end up with some bad leg issues so off them I am today and only peeking in here really quick.
Congrats on first TINA but hey, what else is new?
Wasn't last night a great TV night? Brothers and Sisters, Desperate Housewives, Amazing Race and my husband was trying to throw the football game in with the mix..downstairs my darling...that is why we have that nice TV down there.
Diane, I think the primary difference between "then" and "now" is IMPLANTS.
ReplyDeleteDianne I love The Amazing Race. I already know who I can't stand. LOL Sorry you are having trouble with your leg. I've been working at cleaning the garage. I did so much sweeping that I have a blister that popped. I haven't had one of those in years. I'm such a princess. LOL
ReplyDeleteUmm DeeDee I don't think that is your patch, it's just chest hair, shows up when the hormones leave the body. IJS
ReplyDeleteMay I speak for the flatchested girls for a minute. I too got hoots, whistles, inappropiate comments. So alot of what we girls/women go through is just being female, or I mean the bias, "abuse", rudeness, hormones of men. Some men can be sexist regardless of breast size.
ReplyDeleteBeing flatchested, I had envy in a way for my bigger chested friends, they were more apt to have a boyfriend, but also so them taken advantaged of.
Both of my daughters are well endowed. One has pectus excavatum which gives her a very deep cleavage, which she is very selfconscious about. We tried to have it fixed, but the doctors said it wasn't medically necessary (meaning no heart problems), I envy the blogger who got breast reduction paid by insurance.
It seems to me the younger generation think differently about letting it all hang out. In fact it's hard for my girls to find tops that aren't low. And, they have had hardly any boyfriends, and they probably don't have the whistles we all endured.
That lasst comment was me motherhubbard. I'm havinga problem with typepad.
ReplyDeleteNew here-do you assign blog entries? Very interesting topics, though Whabby's is way over my head!
ReplyDeleteMotherhubbard
MH~ Whoever wants to write is more than welcome to. We usually do a Sunday Music Video and the other days are free-for-alls~ Just submit them to Carol~ :D
ReplyDeleteWow everyone is running around!
ReplyDeleteJust checking in and going to hit a hot shower as I am freezing. It just started to rain here and is very cold. Also think I caught Zona's eye crud I look like I have been on a 3 day bender my right is red rimmed and goopy. Time for the hot packs.
One thing I've noticed about today's blog is that everyone seems to have some sort of body issue. I am right in there with everyone else. We tend to zero in on some physical attribute that we decide is negative, then allow it to dominate our lives.
ReplyDeleteWe are all individuals. There's nobody like us. We're unique and special, especially Tina. And DeeDee. Define "unique" any way you want.
Anyhoo, I don't want to be thrown in the same bucket as everyone. I want to celebrate my differences and quirks. I want to be me. No more and no less.
LynnD; the last time I had an eye infection, I called the doc to say, "I have an eye infection". That wasn't good enough. He wanted to see before he'd give me drops. I went to his office, and the dimwit chews me out for coming to his work when I'm contagious.
ReplyDeleteI told him he was the ass who made me come in, he told me to go to Hell, then I got my drops. He hates it when I know what's wrong with me without asking him.
Oh, welcome Mother Hubbard. Do you live in a cupboard?
ReplyDeleteIt is 49 deg. here in Mich, the low will be in the 30s later this week argh!! It wouldn't be so bad if Mr Ar-thur-itus didn't rear his ugly head!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Mother Hubbard!

ReplyDeleteTwo nights in a row of 69? I will be one slobbering mess!!
ReplyDeleteMary But you'll be smiling!
ReplyDeleteMary: Not if you rotate 90 degrees!
ReplyDeleteOh. Wait. That's not gonna help.
A few years ago, I read a report of a woman who suffered a spontaneous, extended orgasm lasting 2-3 hours. Whilst at the mall. Blessing, or curse?
ReplyDeleteHi all,...thanks for all the comments on the blog. I am sorry I haven't been very active. I am not feeling up to par today.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading all the comments and I hope everyone has a great evening.
I have been in bed all night and heading back there so sweet dreams and good night.
I feel like such a BOOB for being sick on my blog day. ;)
ReplyDeleteBebbi!!! Wait!!
ReplyDeleteBad headaches and "not feeling well" can be more than that. Just make sure everything else seems okay. Please?
ReplyDeleteBonachichi~ two things~
ReplyDelete1. I think Bebbi is just pregnant~ :)~
2. In honor of you celebrating your quirks and differences....I will officially tell you all....I really do enjoy my second roll! My first one is a little annoying....but my second one.....omg...I can set anything on it....hide stuff in it...it's become very useful~ :D
ReplyDeleteBebbi, take care of yourself! We will still be here when you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteWhabbear,did you digress to "Whabby's Wednesday's?" lol!!
Justlin :):):):):)
Tinho quit your Lying! You don't even have ONE roll!! I on the other hand... well let's just say it helps keep my panties up lol!!
ReplyDeleteI choose to intepret Tina's "roll" as one of the rollers on Eunice's head. I bet you could hide a hamster in there.
ReplyDeleteI know I'll be hearing from the Spelling Nazi, Tina!
ReplyDeleteMy excuse is that I have a serious case of burn-in on this screen, so there are 4 vertical lines. I can't really see what's behind those lines so I take it on faith that my fingers know what they're doing.
I'm not going to admit I don't know how to spell "that word". That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
you spelled "that word" perfectly....I don't know any other way to spell it~ I guess you could have written "werd", but that would be wrong~
ReplyDeleteDeeDee....You sooo got an out loud guffaw about your "patch"....that I scared ME...shush now....
ReplyDeleteThe little comment box should move down with you so you can make notes to peeps as you go..cuz you forget things like :
ReplyDeleteApparently, DeeDee wasn't bald.....she just misplaced it because it was hiding under her boobs
or:
for some reason, the women can't be bothered to wear their bathing suit tops.
Dunno....In my little narrow world I think that I should be allowed to go topless....The rest of me, however, should be shrink wrapped...emphasis on the "shrink" please.
lmbo scirish~ that made me laugh~
ReplyDeleteTina...How do you get first AND last?
ReplyDeletescirish Let me know if that shrink wrapping thing works for you.
ReplyDeleteI was cleaning up the garage today and actually gave myself a blister. I haven't done that much manual labor in quite a while. My blister popped and I accidentally stuck it under the hot water. That did NOT feel good.
ReplyDeleteI think I shall (which is not in any way similar to "whilst") catch up on comments. However if you all do not hear from me in a while, that means that whilst I was propping my laptop on my boobs...it slipped off, cracked me in the head and rendered me unconscious...Damn cheap bra!
ReplyDeleteScirish~ I didn't get last~ :)~
ReplyDeleteJ/L~ I burned my hand with my curling iron today....in the same spot I've done it at least 3 other times....this time it blistered! And I kept hitting the damn thing at work! bad day!~ Hey...i've got an idea....why don't you put alcohol on it? I hear that works wonders~ :)~
scirish~ prop the damn thing IN ur bra~ there....solved~
ReplyDelete94~
ReplyDelete95~
ReplyDelete96~
ReplyDelete97~
ReplyDelete98~
ReplyDelete99~
ReplyDelete100~
ReplyDeleteTina...Honey if I did that I couldn't see the screen!
ReplyDeleteThe damn bra already ate the mouse...
ReplyDeletelol Scirish~ do you want me to pee my pants! STOP!~~~ lol~
ReplyDeleteTina I think drinking some alcohol would be more helpful.
ReplyDeleteoh~ oops~ :D
ReplyDeleteMy daughter once had an unusually long eyebrow hair that she called The Amazing Eyebrow Hair. One day she decided to try and curl it with her curling iron, she accidentally touched her skin with the iron, jerked it away quickly, and accidentally pulled out her Amazing Eyebrow Hair. LOL
ReplyDeleteJ/L~ well great~ Now I'm going to go to bed sad~ Why couldn't you leave me with a nice bedtime story? Like Porn? :(
ReplyDeleteI know. It was one of a kind. So sad.
ReplyDeleteSweet dreams.
ReplyDeleteTINA AND J/L: Funny you should mention it but I burned my chest (right boob) yesterday with the curling iron. What was it doing there, you ask? I was curling the front of my hair (on my head) and dropped it. Yup, just looked and there is a blister and big red mark. Maybe if I go topless this week it will be mistaken for a hickey!! Night
ReplyDelete
