~ On A Clear Day ~

by Tina~in_ut

I really don't care for Barbra Streisand. I know that's probably un-American......but I don't. I disagree with her politics and some days I just want to tell her to shut up already! .......but when I was little, I watched On A Clear Day and I just loved it. It's really the only movie she's made that I like. It's about a woman who goes to a psychiatrist to try and quit her five pack a day smoking habit at the insistence of her fiance. While under hypnosis, her Doctor discovers that she has lived previous lives and procedes to fall in love with one of her former selves. It's a silly movie, but I loved it. This is the title song. I hope you like it......and I hope you don't hate me for not being all ga-ga over Babs~

  4. Morning Glories!

Tina,Tina,Tina only you! Congrats on first.

I love this song and Barbara can sing it like no other. Never saw the movie because I generally was not a fan of her later movies, but the woman can sing! She is an American Icon.

Tina it looks like in your 3rd post one of you other personalities slipped out. I think you may be conflicted.

  8. Tina Congrats on one of your personalities coming in first today! I'm not ga-ga over Babs but admit that she has a really great voice. It is a clear day here, so far, but that can change quickly along the coast. I've never been to Savannah but would love to go. Tell us all about it.

NN/LL But she's very talented at cheating. ;)

LynnD I guess Mr. Tina gets two Tina' today. Double trouble!

Mary Sorry, but I hope no hunters see any deer.....ever!

    MO That was priceless! ROFLMAO!!!!

Bear So, you're out there smacking some balls today, huh? Enjoy!

  10. Happy Sunday Owls.

Hi Tina, I like Babs and this is one of my faves of the songs she sings. One of the things I like about her is that when she started out, she chose to remain her natural self instead of surgically improving her appearance. And she has a great voice. Thanks for the SMV.

How sweet (yes I said it) of you to help Dawn with her packing. I bet you had fun too.

  11. TINA!!

Tina you just don't like her because she is a democrat.....and you know that pushes my buttons!

BARBRA STREISAND IS A NATIONAL TREASURE!!

After almost 50 years she can still sell out a tour and when she releases an album is goes straight to number one!

People are willing to pay a fortune to see her and hear her voice and consider it the event of a lifetime when they do!

The fact or fallacy that YOU don't like her is as inconsequential as bamboo in a girdle!

The WORLD loves Barbra Streisand...there has never been anything like her and never will be again....that voice...that face...that talent....

How dare you even write such a thing!

    I HATE YOU!!

    Love,

    DeeDee

Waving wildly to all the other Owls. I hope you are all having a good day.

Bear, Tennis at Golden Gate Park, how fun.

J/L, We have a beautiful day too. Rain is expected this week, tho.

  14. Tina Butter Butter Butter! Butter is better! Butter with Bacon is so much better!!!!!

Deedee you are cracking me up! I think Tina pushed your red button. I however took the high road and chose to ignore that part of her blog. But you are right.

Barb you are evil trying to get me to do cafe work!

  15. TINA: Barbra Streisand is the best..I love the movie..and the song is great too. This is one of those Steisand songs that is so uplifting..it just makes you feel really good when you hear it. Great choice today TINA, thank you!

TINA2: Congrats on FIRST, Savannah and butter!

J/LIN: It's been a beautiful day here too..Nikki just wanted to stay outside all day.

    BARB: Thanks..I needed them today..

LYNN: I agree..Streisand is an American Icon.

    DEEDEE: Well..she doesn't like Sinatra either..whattya gonna do? ;)

MARY: I can't wait to see what you take a bite out of next.. ;)

DIANNE: Ouch! What is happening to your horses?

    HI MO, BEAR and LL/NN!

  16. I like Yentl just so I can look at Mandy Patinkin. Went to see him sing several years ago. He's very handsome and can really belt out a tune.

  17. Hi...Dianne sad in Denver.....walks into the owl room, head bent, shoulders slumped, tears dripping from her eyes slight shuffle.....You all know why....the Broncos lost their third game in a row and not only lost it but to one of the worst teams in the NFL this season. I don't even think a piece of DEEDEE's penis....cake...would make these blues go away.

Suffles out of room while taking her orange shirt off and deciding if she should order a Raider shirt...NOT...I'M NOT THAT DEPRESSED!!!

  18. Hi..Well, we don't have a clear day here. It is 28 and we have another foot of snow from last night and today. The roads are bad but it is really pretty when you look out the window at the trees, etc.

We had a Bronco party on the other side of town to go to this morning but MrD thought it was too dangerous to go and we had the girls and he told me I could go but they were staying home. I agreed but not willingly. I am not one that likes to cancel things when you live in a snow state. Everyone made it to the party but us and one other couple but we both live an hour away while the others live 10 min.

TINA: I love this song and I love Barbra and all her music. I agree with you about that she shouldn't be talking politics at a concert but I would love to go to a concert of hers.

TINA: You had better call one of the kids to set your recorder for Oprah tomorrow as Sarah Palin is on for her first interview. You and MrD can watch it and then talk it over :) Hope you are having fun and the butter sounds yummy.

Do you all know how lame I am? Don't answer that...but I never knew that Oprah's studio, etc., named Harpo was her name spelled backwards!! I must be pretty slow these days.

  19. Tina.. first on her own blog..

    Well then.. happy first..

    :O)

  20. Tina..

I like Babs.. I don't agree with her politically either, but I love to hear her sing, and I have seen most every movie she has made.. Funny Girl being my fav.. oh and The Way we Were.. oh and A Star is Born.. oh and The Prince of Tides

and I don't hate ya, cause ya don't like Babs.. I just hate ya!

    :O)

    Thanks for SMV..

  23. Hello All! and congrats on being number 1 on your OWN blog again, Tina!!

I don't mind that you are not ga-ga over Barbara Streisand. We all have people we love and people we dont'. I like her but am not ga-ga either.

Sheri, if you come back (which I hope you do)...hello!! Tina said hello to you in "area 51" (that is what we call the older blogs)..and you have to watch out for her..she is a wild woman. hehe..and well, at least she knows it!

Hi Lois, LynnD, Mary, whabby, Mo, J/L, Sacbarb, DeeDee, Zona, Dianne and Carol..I hope you all had a great Sunday.

    Going to read comments now.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Lois, I agree with you about the "being unamerican to be first on your own blog"..lol.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Dianne Sorry you are depressed over your Broncos. Did you jinx them by washing your shirt or something? I'm all happy that our 49ers won their Thurs. night game.

As for Palin, I will probably watch her on Oprah for the same reason that people stare at train wrecks....morbid curiosity.

I usually prefer to watch Ellen instead of Oprah, but did anyone else see Oprah's show the other day with the woman whose face and hands were ripped off by the chimp? OMG!!! Unbelieveble!

    ReplyDelete
  26. TINA...maybe you should start calling yourself "Peaches"...ijs!

    ReplyDelete
  27. MO No, I think Tina should call herself "Cobbler". LOL

    ReplyDelete
  28. Bebbi Waving a wing at you.

My avatar continues to make me hungry when I see it. Think I'll go make some dinner. bbl

  29. JUST LIN...LOL! Maybe she could refer to herself as Peaches, the crackho,Cobbler!

  30. Evening Owls!

Dianne I don't mean to laugh but your description of yourself was damn funny! Hey the Bronco's can't be any lower on the list than the Seahawks!

Mo no phone calls from Ritchie just his mom and he throws in a word or two here and there. His new one is kitty kitty! Everything is kitty kitty.

J/L I have not decided on whether or not to watch the Palin interview. Tho it should be a good laugh as she is promoting her book that has 5 whole chapters. Criminitly my new toaster oven manual has more chapters!

I saw the interview with that poor woman the chimp attacked the whole story is so chilling. That woman was amazing the strength she has to survive is inspiring. Now there is a woman I can admire.

Ok off to read and then nighty night! Have a good evening everyone!

  31. Hello everyone!!

I'm not a big Barbara fan either, but I love her political views! :)

Speaking of political views! Guess what may be moving 30 mins close to me!!

Gimanto Bay inmates! I'm not too sure what to think about it.

  32. DIANNEsadinDENVER...imagine being a Brown's fan! 1 and 7. I'm sure we'd be 1 and 8, but we had a week off and don't play again until tomorrow night.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Dianne, Sorry about your Broncos, and I can send you a Raiders shirt, but believe me, you won't feel any better!

J/L, I usually watch Ellen too, but I did see that Oprah show. That woman has an amazing amount of strength. She isn't even bitter about what happened to her.

There was a similar story on 48 Hours about a 17 year old girl whose boyfriend shot her in the jaw and blew half her face off. She, too has an amazing amount of strength and even went to her senior prom with a veil over the lower half of her face. She was elected prom queen. It was a very inspiring story.

  34. Lynn, I got roped into the cafe by a cousin-in-law and friend, both from Santa Maria. They don't have much to do there. It's kinda fun, but not as much as farming.

Speaking of farming, I was hit on last might by a farmer whose farm I was working on. At first it freaked me out, but them I had to really laugh. I don't know how old he is, but if he knew how old I am he would probably laugh too. My avatar is young and kinda cute though.

    ReplyDelete
  35. SACBARB...The 17 year old, Johanna is quite the inspiration, as is the woman attacked by the chimp. I don't think I could have that strength. BTW, Charla is at the Cleveland Clinic and Johanna is from Cleveland. We may have sports teams that suck, but our medical faciilities are a-one!

    ReplyDelete
  36. J/L, Mandy Patinkin is going to be on Three Rivers tonight, fyi.

    ReplyDelete
  37. MO, I didn't realize they were both in Cleveland. I was so impressed with the maturity of Johanna. She is destined for something big in life I am sure.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I saw that Oprah show with the woman the other day. She was an amazing person and I also don't think I could be like she is. I think her daughter keeps her going too. It was just so sad.

No, I didn't wash my shirt. I just think maybe the Broncos had to play too early We in Denver are not morning people. Hmmm, I wonder if I have hit on something. Yes, J/L you were very lucky to win the other night. Now I think San Diego is tied with us.

I have just been farming this afternoon and doing plenty of nothing. It's too cold and snowy to do much but tomorrow will be bright sunshine again and time to get out of the house.

    ReplyDelete
  39. BTW, did I already tell all of you that I went to see 2012 the other night? I can't remember but it was a really good movie and I would recommend it. It was pretty darn exciting.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I saw Oprah the other day as well, and I was shocked, on my goodness. Yet the spirit and determination of Carla (sp) is quite amazing..

Nobody should have chimps as pets..

    ReplyDelete
  41. Di!!! U make me laugh!! U poor thing!! I just got back from seeing 2012! Damn frightening!! I remember when they thought all that was going to happen in 1987. Scared me then!

U freaks are all making me laugh! I gotta go see if I can get me some peaches.....bbl.....maybe!!

  50. Dianne: I am so sorry to hear about the Broncos. I have a soft spot in my heart for your team and I always am happy when they do well. Again, my sympathy..although, I agree..your description of yourself made me laugh too.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Sacbarb- That has happened to me before too with the horny farmer men.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Maybe the farmers are looking for a good ho.

    ReplyDelete
  53. SacBarb I forgot to watch Mandy as I was watching Dexter on Showtime. I saw that story about the 17 yr old girl, too. What a horrible thing that boy did to her and what a wonderful spirit she is.
