Straight No Chaser

by LynnD

I discovered these guys the other night laying in bed watching TV. I was flipping channels and decided to see what was on PBS. Well these wonderful men were singing my song. Love them and I am now a huge fan. They inject humor and laughs, you can tell they are having fun!

So Here are two videos to lighten your Christmas Crazies. A gift from me to you.

Love you all,

My Favorite from them. IT WASN'T ME! I think it was Shirley. IMJS

They have a mp3 (I think that is what is called) on their website, but I don't know how to download that.. so I just have to wait..

  3. OMG.. last nite was sooo much fun, we went to Iberia which is a spanish restaurant in Newark. This part of Newark is nicknamed "down neck" and is the porteguese section. (Newark has many sections) anyway the food was the best, and the sangria.. OMG it was divine.. We had 5 pitchers of White Sangria, my nephew orders it with no sugar, so its not sweet, which to me is perfect!

I'll tell ya it packs a punch..

    Sooo fun.. Good Times..

  20. Oh, what a funny couple of songs! I suspect there will be a whole group (you know who you are) spiking the eggnog at the Nest Holiday Party! We probably won't remember a thing about the whole affair.

  21. LynnD First on your own blog? You are becoming a cheaqter just like Tina. ;)

Carol I love how you always have some fun with your fam.

Tinka Congrats on 10! An extra hour of sleep is always good.

Zona Go to bed! Are you avoiding ribbons?

    DeeDee Hi!

Bonach The other night at a Xmas party, there was a rum cake there that was sooooooo delicious but I tell ya, you could get drunk just from the fumes from all the rum in it.

  22. Hi everyone!
LynnD, Congats on 5 days of #1..and a "partridge in a pear tree" lol!!
Love the fun guys. I had never heard them. lol on "stamp on Zona's forhead"

JustLynn, thanks for reminding me! I bought a rum cake while on my Caribbean cruise in April. I brought it home and froze it. Time to get it out!

Zona, I just finished my cards last night, I am always worried that I am forgetting someone. I make lists, then lose them lol!
I finally wen to bed at 3am.

    Tinka,Have a great nap. :)

Carol,I watch the weather channel this time a year. I have had a couple winter accidents and don't drive unless absolutely necessary! I let Mr Mary take over!
    Waving at Dee Dee~~

    Kitchen update~~
My kitchen is all done except for some trim that hasn't arrived yet. My Son & I decided to do our own grouting (tile). It cost $400 to put up. The tile is stone and as a lot of nooks/tiny holes and crevices, that is why I got it. I loved the look. Unfortunately the tile has to be taped over to keep the grout out. I didn't want to pay the labor for that!
I will take pics when we are finished with it. Could be years lol!!

  23. Sorry I missed you Bonacci!:):):)

  24. From A51, late: Dianne: My sincere condolences! Sometimes, life just doesn't deliver what it should!

But take heart. I heard on the radio this week that a company is coming out with a "penis glove" that fits like crazy. It's got a real-time (!) digital link to your television, and as you watch porn, the glove moves and undulates and squeezes to match the motions and activities of the actor on screen.

    Seriously.

They're working on a female version that will be out (how ironic, since that particular form of the device will be an "innie") late next year.

And at that point, you'll never be in the situation you were last night again! LOL!

  25. I hope this doesn't make you all think less of me...lol...I know...it hit me when I wrote that....shuttup Tina and Bonacci!

When I was in my late 30's I had an affair with a man 20 years my junior......I know....but it just happened....he was an incredibly beautiful young man....body and soul.....then he moved to California to pursue his dreams..... we remained close friends....we were friends in the first place......I visited him in L.A.....and many years later I ran into him unexpectedly when I was living in Denver....turns out we were living in the same building.....who knew.....He worked for many years as a FA for American and now is in Nursing school in Rochester....and he has invited me up for Christmas.......

I guess what I am asking is this.....is 20 years to much age difference? Ivana does it...Cher does it.....and DeeDee wants to do it......I swear I have been so horny if you drive by my house on a quiet night they say you can actually hear me honk......

And I don't just want him for his body....we have loads of fun together....if you can imagine...he thinks I am funny. He has never been impressed or interested in money. He has said he wants us to enjoy his house. Its a little 2 story duplex that he has remodeled with his own 2 hands......

I am trying to reconcile this in my mind.....and I am asking your advice....no matter what it is...tell me the truth. I have never asked before so I am taking advantage of one of the advantages of being here in this nest.....

All I ask is that if you are going to kick me out for being a whore...or trying to be....give me time to find my rip cord!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Deedee go for it. Life is short and if he makes you happy and you make him happy....then it is your business.

My new favorite saying is What other people think about me is none of my business.

Just make sure you are ready to make that commitment. Broken hearts are no fun if things end badly.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh DeeDee!!! Just go....and for God's sake...use protection....I'm not caring for a little brother or sister! ijs~

    ReplyDelete
  28. DEE DEE...OMG...how fun! If you don't care about his age then no one else has a right to. GO FOR IT!! And then brag to anyone that will listen...and even if they wont!! Just be safe :)

LYNN...can't watch the vids, but I trust your taste, so I am sure they are terrific. Grats on 1st again!!

CAROL...I hate driving in the snow. I would much rather stay home then go out in even flurries!!

ZONA...you shudda put some ink on your face and you could have finsihed your cards while you slept!! Did Mr. Z start his cookies yet?

    ReplyDelete
  29. DEEDEE: JUST DO IT!! As Auntie Mame would say.."Yes!Live! Life's a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death!" Don't pass up this chance to enjoy yourself!

MO: Every counter in the kitchen is covered with bags of flour and sugar..Operation Sugar Cookies begins tonight!

LOL @ stamping with my face..I didn't but I'll bet it kinda looks like I did! ;)

TINKA: It's going to be 74 here tomorrow..you're welcome to visit anytime! :)

  30. Happy Friday Owls.

Sharon worked with me at Christmas Promise today and we went out for Chinese dinner after. I am exhausted, but I have to clean my house for tomorrow. I am cooking dinner to celebrate my oldest son's birthday. He and his family, his MIL and my sister are all coming for dinner.

Lynn, First on your own blog. Taking lessons from Tina I see. The vids were fun to watch. I haven't heard of this group, but I will look for more from them.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Dee, Go for it. If neither of you care about age, it doesn't matter what others think. Have fun.

Zona, I see your super powers are at work again. :)

Carol, If you do drive in the snow, I hope you will be safe. I would definitely opt to stay home with my snuggie.

  32. Hello Everyone..

How exciting.. the Christmas Party blog is all ready.. The menu loving prepared by Shirley, is all done and ready to post.. However she is still mixing the drinks.. :O)

I am not going to my dinner that was planned for tomorrow nite, because of the snowstorm that we are getting here in NJ.. Its gonna be a lot of snow.. which I am dreading.. I am going to head out early in the morning to finish my
Christmas Shopping, so I can get home before the snow arrives.. I just hope the snow waits till I am done..

Lynn.. I watched the vids again and loved them again.. :O)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Dee..

If you don't go for it, I will.. :O)

Sooo please don't worry about age its just a number.. and you only live once, so please live it to the fullest..

    I def want details tho..

    :O)

  34. Sacbarb..

  35. DeeDee, I say, no way!! what's the matter with you!
Just where is this little house? ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  36. HI Everbody,
I had the best time tonight. I enjoyed a fantastic dinner and it was so awesome!!!!!!! I am still on cloud nine.

    ReplyDelete
  37. MARY...I'm betting that little house isn't on the prairie!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Well! Thanks for the advice....it seems unanimous and then Mary says NO!!

Nothing scares me or makes me nervous usually...but this does....Lynn said it.....what if I get hurt....what if I hurt him (it has been awhile)...
I was at my friend Lisa'a and I was in the kitchen singing "Love to love You Baby" and after a few minutes she looked at me and said..."is he going to be safe?"

She was concerned about his physical well being....not whether he plays safe....lol....which reminds me...Tina....there is no chance of pregnancy....hasn't been in about 20 years...

Paul has always been a sweetheart...he will take care of me...he'll protect me from any and all harm....

  39. DeeDee I say dive in, go for it,put out, given in,let it all hang out, just do it,give it up, what yah saving it for? Crank it,eat it,love it,inhale it full steam ahead live, love and have no regrets!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Dee Dee: Of course, I don't think the age difference is an issue at all.

However! A flight attendant and then a nurse?

Things that make me go "hmmmm"!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. DeeDee I say you should go. I don't think age should have anything to do with it. Maybe it will be a romance and maybe it won't but you two enjoy each other and make each other laugh so I think you should go and enjoy and see what happens. Nothing will happen if you don't take the chance.

  42. Bebbi I'm happy for you that you had such a good time tonight. :)
