Piles of Yellow Snow!

Whoever tells me they like snow, I will totally throw them in a pile of it, and it won't be the white snow. I am thinking more of yellow shade.

Heavy snow or blizzard conditions, disrupts so much of our lives. Before the dreaded snow arrives, it's off to the supermarket everyone goes, to stock up on bread and milk which I never understood, because bread and milk are boring. The planning of the day before can be just as stressful as the storm itself.

For me (and Tina), it's worse. The reaccommodation of passengers is a complete nightmare and a job that is overwhelming. Trying to get available flights during or after a storm is awful. So many people had to switch their flights that there are just no more seats left on any planes till almost a week later. And the passengers are not happy campers, so the words that spew out of their mouths, are words I will not repeat, but in my mind I see these people falling in yellow snow, which makes me take in the words easier.

Did I say Nightmare!

I am a bundle of nerves today, 12 to 18 inches is just too much for me to navigate my way thru. I have to hope it is not as bad as they are saying it will be.

I wish I was back in school so I could be excited about this snow day. But of course, I am not back in school. I am a professional adult who only wishes for many to fall into yellow snow..

Crap and Double Crap!

  7. Morning Glories!

Tina I must say you look very sexy this morning!

Sorry Carol glad it is your side of the country and not mine. We are freezing but Thank God no snow! I used to love when it snowed, a break at home away from the world. Now I dread it! I feel for you and Tina people are so crappy. Weather is one of the hazards of traveling and people should be more prepared. Hope they get Icicles in their britches!

Jodi all I can say is this to will pass. Girls seem to go off the deep end in their teen years more than boys. I agree with Carol she is probably more like her Dad than she realizes yet and that is why they are at odds. Went through this with my youngest daughter. Her Dad only has to look at her and you can hear the bell ring...in this corner is.... well you get the drift.

Ok kids I am whoring for Valentines on FV I am trying to open the 150 prize. Valentines Valentines Valentines please!!!!

I have to get dressed for Food bank. Dammit it is interfering with my whoring!

    Waving at everyone!

  8. Good Morning Hooters!

tina~ I was looking at flights last night online and that is exactly what I was thinking! They are on f** crack!! If I knew I would get you as my customer service agent I would have called you directly. :)

Well I feel your pain Carol- I hate snow, and I hate winter. To add insult to injury there was a damn earthquake at 4 am in Northern Il. I mean, come on mother nature, was that really necessary??

Jodi- you know what I feel and you know where I am. Sam too. ((hugs))

Hope everyone has a good day!!

  9. Happy snow days to those who love 'em and {{hugs}} to all Airline ticket agents and yellow snow to those nasty customers!!!

Carol, you will prolly get the shit we just got. Yes, it started slow and harmless looking, then bam! it gathers life and dumps, drifts and buries everything in site!
I was so happy to wake up to our neighbor's son plowing our driveway! We live around many farmers and love them all. We hardly see each other, but each are always there to lend a hand when needed.
Everyone got home ok last night. They were a little shaken, but safe!

Jodi, I didn't have daughters, but I was one. My Mother had 5 daughters! Can you imagine? We all had our hormonal moments! Our Father worked long hrs so our poor Mom took the brunt. I am happy to say that we all turned out fine! (don't go there Tina!)

  10. Hi Everyone!

CAROL: I guess I better not say anything then. ;)

I'm sorry you are getting so much snow. Playing in it like I want to do..and travelling, working and trying to maneuver through it are totally different. I guess if I lived where I had to shovel the stuff, I'd have a different attitude. It sure is pretty from afar though.

I'm not happy with the weather we're going to get next week..it's way too early for the 80's. My sister was right..Christmas is over, now it gets hot. yuck.

TINA: Congrats on FIRST! I hope the day has settled down a little for you..sheesh..what colorful language so early in the morning!

LYNN: I'm sending them as often as I can..I'm beginning to see a pattern with FV and whoring..aren't you? ;)

    GOLDIE: I love winter..but that's just me. ;)

JODI: You've had a heck of a month..I admire the hell at how you've handled it. If you need to talk..I'm always here.

MARY: I'm glad everyone got home safely..that's one thing I hate about stormy weather..snow or rain..I'd be worrying constantly about loved ones getting home.

SACBARB: Are you getting some well deserved rest?

MO: Miss you. I hope you're staying warm!

  11. 80's? Zona are shitting me???? You have the nerve to talk about 80's when we have blizzards and earthquakes in the same day???? LMAO-j/k :)
By the way, the critters are packed and ready to be loved!

On a good note- 2 days until I get my grandbabies fix, 18 days until San Fran and 24 days until Bon Jovi!!

  12. Update on Mr Z: We went to the new doctor yesterday to get the stitches out..man that was tough. There were 12 stitches..some were buried inside the wound. Although the doctor was very kind and very gentle, he still had to dig into Mr Z's finger to cut the knots. While removing the fifth stitch Mr Z's hand started shaking uncontrollably so the doctor decided to give him some novacaine. Four shots into the finger. Since the wound was numb, they also decided to cut away all the dead skin. The whole ordeal was not pleasant..and Mr Z was in a lot of pain last night. I felt so badly for him and tried to comfort him as much as I could.

I did learn one thing though..if you are going to a new doctor's office..make sure you write down the entire address..not just the intersection, the phone number is always good to have..oh and bring cash for the parking garage. If I had just done these three things it would have made 'finding the damn place' a lot easier. j/s..sheesh..

  13. GOLDIE: Sorry..if it helps..I feel about the heat like you feel about the snow!!

    YAY! :D

DIANNE: From 52 or 53..I understand God loves a black night sky filled with silver stars.. ;)

TINA: Sorry a missed your blog yesterday. Pork. Hmmm. Not a fan..unless you're talking about pulling it I mean..a good sauce will win me over every time. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  14. Oh,,,,,,,,I am so sorry for Mr. Zonabaaaaaaaaaaaaaaby. Bummer.

You need to get GPS on your phone like me. Not that I know how to use it mind you....lol

  15. Zona, I was grimacing while reading about Mr Z! His finger must be so tender ouch!
I was also grimacing when you mentioned 80's! LOL!!

  16. GOLDIE: The YAY was for the critters..and the love. :D

MARY: You'll get to experience the warm temps soon in Florida! :)

It rained here today..so I'm making chili! Yum!

  18. CAROL - We've had snow here the last couple of days, but not nearly as much as you. Thankfully I only live 5 blocks from the store!! I couldn't imagine being any of my customers that have to drive to Madison!!! I've known quite a few that get as far as my store....stop for their morning cup of cawfee, and say "hell to the no" and turn around and go back home. Sometimes it just isn't worth it.

TINA - How did that "lady" know you were our top crackwhore?!!?

LYNN & CAROL - I think you might be right!! I just hope that she will open up her heart to a relationship with her father again.

GOLDIE - Thank you....for the card, and yes maybe we could do a "girls" day with Sam. She truly looks up to you (and especially Inge!!!)....ijs!!!

MARY - I couldn't imagine...5 girls!! That just sent shivers down my spine!! And YES I think you are just fine....thank you for checking in on me....:O) ♥ ♥ ♥

ZONA - Poor MR. Z!!! Reading your post after talking with you....holy crap!!! And I complained today cuz I broke a fingernail.....never again!! And a HUGE thank you for being one of my biggest cheerleaders!! Muah!!

  19. Congrats on first Tina and btw, "Are you on f***ing crack?"...ROFLMAO..that is funny!

Carol: I love the snow this week. Especially because I am NOT in the midst of it. Next week, different story.

  20. Jodi, I hope you get things figured out with your daughter. I am so glad you found her and she was safe. My sister is going through the same thing with her 14 year old son right now. He stayed with his sister and then a friend for two months. They are going to counseling and he just came back this week. I am sure you will get things figured out. Hugs.

  21. Thanks BEBBI!! Are you still in Florida? Love the pics!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Jodi: Yes, still in Florida..going out to eat oysters on the half shell at the Oyster bar here in a few minutes...>YUM!< And, they are an aphrodisiac too.. *wink, wink* Should be a good night.

  23. Tina LOL @ f***ing crack! Your reputation sure has spread!

Carol I hope your day has gone better today than it did yesterday. I guess Mother Nature is bitch-slapping the East Coast. :(

LynnD What has FV done to you? Whoring for valentines! You have totally lost your moral compass.....or someone stole it on some farm or damn island. LOL

Goldie Pretty soon the airlines will be weighing us and charging us per pound. Sends shivers down my spine! Oh, I don't know how to use my phones GPS, either. I haven't even looked at it.

Mary How nice of your neighbor to clear your driveway for you. I'm glad everyone got home safe and I hope they are staying in tonight.

Zona Poor Mr.Z! I feel so bad for him. It should get better from here on out I would think. Oh, and can I have a bowl of that chili? It sounds delish!

Jodi When my son was a teen, we hit a rough patch and he lived with a friend's family for a few months. It all worked out fine and I know it will work out with Sam, too. Sometimes we just need a break from each other. (((HUGS)))

Bebbi While some of our Owls are getting buried in snow, are you getting a tan?

  37. Well stick a fucking fork in me I am done!

I stopped home long enough to whore for some valentines and then had to run out again. I am not leaving the house! Maybe not for the next day or so. I am so tired.

Zona give Mr. Z some of his medicine. K. I hope he feels better soon. I don't think I could take watching Mr. Lynn D go through that pain.

Carol I am starting to think I might want some snow to make me stay home.

    Ok off to whore.

  39. Wohooo I am En Fuego! What ever that means. I have over 150 Valentines! Thank you everyone! Now I can't decide whether to redeem them for the Heart Fountain or the Eiffel Tower.

The fountain would go with my Villa, where the heck would I put the Eiffel Tower? But hey an Eiffel Tower in your yard will have the neighbors waggin their chins over the farm fencing.

Oh lord does this mean I have to collect 50 more Valentines? Crap I think it does so I can have both....(sigh) back to whoring.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Just got home and apparently I have to see a FV about a whore!~ bbl~

  41. Lynn honey, is an intervention in order? Seriously, I am here for you.....

tina~, I have to go to them this time. But its all good. Leave Friday home on Tuesday.

Carol- I never get bored reading your posts~ even when you are only talking to yourself.

Jodi- your welcome, and just call when you girls want to get together!

tina~ if it was the last seat she should be damn happy to get it!

j/l- lol about the airlines weighing us. Damn I need to lose some pounds quickly!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I am sick of the snow - white and yellow. It has snowed for days. Don't know the exact accumulation, but it's somewhere about a shitload or a shitload and then some. Fricking cold, too.

    I love pork...duh!

I think I would be afraid to make the call. I think somethings are better left to the imagination.

Didn't watch the Super Bowl. I will when the Brown's are in it...guess I'll never be watching. Glad the Saint's won and I do enjoy the tight ends.

Thought for sure there would have been pretty ribbon and stampings adorning Mr. Z's bandages ;)~

Don't farm, fish or farkle. Barely even Facebook.

  43. Hi MO: Nice to see you and you sure were able to sum up a week in a few words...I am too wordy to do that!!!

*tiptoes around looking at all the beautiful snow and wonders if owls are be happy I passed it along to them*?

ZONA: Ouch for MrZ...I hope he just heals now and no more excitement.

LYNN: You now have me so excited to get all my Valentines. I can't tell you how long I have been trying to get some kind of a fountain.

Now there is some times I don't like snow and that is on holidays when people are trying to travel to be with their families and when I am trying to get out of Denver to LA on a cruise (in ten days).

    ReplyDelete
  44. Poor grammer on last post should be are instead of "is". I need to look over before I post.

GOLDIE; Have a lot of fun with those grandbabies. I have a friend that has had no grandchilren until 10 mos ago. She called me today to tell me that she is going to have twin grandbabie in July from the same couple. Boy, that couple will be busy with three in diapers.

TINA; Are you being nice to your company? How is the new job going?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Carol Oh, my! It makes me cold just to look at your pics! I guess that's what they mean by "blanketed with snow". I love to look at it but I sure wouldn't want to have to go out in it for any reason. Once, when I was in Reno, Nevada, there was snow on the ground and I walked around in it for a little bit but that is my biggest snow experience.

MO I'm so glad you are back. Yay! Muah!

Dianne Hopefully, there will be no problem getting out of Denver to go on your cruise. Once, when I was on a layover in Denver, when we walked out to the plane, it snowed lightly on us. That was my only other experience with snow. It made me nervous that they had to de-ice the wings of the plane.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Jodi You be extra careful. Don't you dare slip and fall again!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Good grief! There are actual nite owls in here lol!!
I had to check on my way to bed.

J/L~ you got a lot of snow experience there!~ :)~

    Mary~ goodnight, sweetpea~

    ReplyDelete
  49. Mary Sweet dreams!

Tina I know! I am def not a snow bunny. I have no desire to do anything in regards to snow except maybe sit by a fireplace while I look out a window at how pretty it is.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Carol: Good point about the milk and bread! I never thought of that! LOL!

Zona: Good update on Mr Z. Horrible... but thank heaven for novacaine!

  52. Bear Snow is just too much trouble for me.

  53. Carol: I'm sorry I haven't been as active lately either. This new blog is taking up an enormous amount of my spare time.

  54. Okay..I am a doofus for brains. Were those pictures always up there, or did they get up there later yesterday? Am I really that dumb sometimes..okay, maybe.
