Happy Sunday!
So yes, today is Sunday and we usually post a SMV, but truth be told, I could not find one. As I was searching the web, I came across this vid. Apparently TV Land has begun a new series, and the amazing Betty White has a role. I have always liked her as an actress and have always thought she was funny. This vid cracked me up, she delivers her lines so well. Not really sure I would watch the show tho, but glad I came across this snippet.
Have a great Sunday!
BAMM!!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like it would be funny....wonder what the name of the show is......?
ReplyDeleteWell winter has returned to lower central Texas....it was 31 degrees last night and not much warmer this morning!
I just had her shorn at the groomers for the warmer weather and its so cold when I take her out to tinkle she won't do a full release in the cold......so she pee's just like a Methodist!
a sprinkle!!
lol....I was writing about my doggie...Belle..the sprinkler...
ReplyDeleteDee..
ReplyDeleteI don't know the name of the show, It does look funny tho.. alot of TV celebrities are in it.. it was good to see the lady (forgot her name) from Fraiser..
Betty White has great timing and facial expressions..
ReplyDeletemy fav line
"I don't like you"
LOL
Another great day in NJ.. not as warm as yesterday, but more like April weather... I have been "nesting" this winter.. so I need to get out and about and back to the gym.. I just need the sun to push me..
ReplyDeleteI am going to get my hair done this morning.. its such a chore but I have to do it..
ReplyDeleteI was reading on People.com about Sandra Bullock, I feel so bad for her, I don't think she knew what hit her, I truly believe she was completely caught off guard.. I hope they can work it out..
ok.. I am off..
ReplyDeletehope everyone has a great day..
:O)
DeeDee: Congrats on #1~!
ReplyDeleteGood morning DeeDee and Carol.
That was a funny clip. I love Betty White. She is so great. I love Valerie Bertinelli too.
DeeDee: Sounds like some cold weather in Texas..yuck! We are supposed to get rain today.
Carol: Have fun getting your hair done. I got the box of color in mine yesterday..woo hoo. :)
I am heading out to the Y to go and work out. Talk to you all later..
Betty White.... She reminds me a lot of DeeDee. Sometimes what comes out of her mouth is so unbelievable, but she says it with such conviction, you reckon it has to be true. What a gal!
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for Sandra Bullock, but Jesse James is probably going to be suffering more. Sandra was the power in that power couple. It takes some giant-sized nads to mess with Sandy.
Happy SUnday!
ReplyDeleteCAROL...I read about this show. It stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leaves, Wendy Malick and the incomparable Betty White. The three ladies leave Hollywood and move to CLEVELAND where Betty White's character lives. I don't have cable so I can't watch it, but I bet it is hilarious!
I need to get the grey highlights out of my hair one of these days!
Sandra Bullock was totally blind sided by this, it seems. She looked so lovingly at Jessie all the time and he to her. It is sad and I hope that they can work things out.
ReplyDeleteI just read they are making The Rockford Files again! And Beau Bridges is going to co-star. I love the Bridges boys, but have any of you seen those eyebrows??? OMG...looks like two giant centipedes on his forehead!!! I hope they do something with them (and I don't mean braid them with beads!!)
ReplyDeleteMorning Glories!
ReplyDeleteBAMM Back at you Beautiful!
Love me some Betty White! I adore this woman. I however do not get TV Land. Bummer as I would love this show. Looks like a great cast of characters.
I feel for Sandra Bullock too. I personally hope she kicks the asshole in the nads just for the fact that he slept with what looks like one sleazy ho bag.
Should they work it out? I don't know if I could.
It was 70 degrees here yesterday and I was bitching. My internal thermostat is broken and I was in a freaking flop sweat all day yesterday. Gee Summer is going to be fun. NOT!
I can't understand how Sandra Bullock got involved with this guy.....don't get me wrong...hes hot and all that....but he is the type you date.....not the type you go into a committed relationship with...
ReplyDeleteHis second wife was a porn star....and this affair is with a tattoo model and stripper....
The man likes trash...he should stick with what he knows.....
and men like Jesse don't change...once a whore monger always a whore monger.....
I just swooned over him when he and Ross did segments together....he is very sexy and charming...but I would never move....
oh who the hell am I kidding...I would have fallen head over hills...devoted myself to his hotness and reportedly very large "little Jesse" and would be going thru the same thing as Sandra....been there done that....and dangerously close to doing it again...two times!
Those super handsome men with those big muscles will fuck you up every time......
But...as Millie Jackson sings....(If Loving You Is Wrong) I Don't Want To Be Right
(drops one shoulder..throws hand in the air..rolls head in a semi-circle..nods..and says "can I get an amen!)
Hi..I haven't watched click or read comments and I am out the door again. I did see Betty White on Leno the other night and she is going to be hosting SNL within the next few weeks so if anyone sees what day...let us know or I will do the same. She was so darn cute and excited about it. she said a blog group kept writing SNL to get her on and it worked. They also showed how great of a singer she is/was and an old movie with her singing in it...I was surprised and didn't know she sang. Maybe CAROL OR ZONA can google it for us and put it up for a blog.
ReplyDeleteOk morning to all and congrats on first miss pretty DEEDEE. BBL
Quick fly-by we are flying out in a few hrs.
ReplyDeleteI love Betty White & can't wait ti see the vid Carol.
Our first day of springs was snowy all day and part of the night. Mother nature sure has a sense of humor!
I am still chuckling over Whabby's comment about Tina yesterday. I see it made our comment of the day.
Thanks for the giggle again Whabby!!!
See Yah all in Vegas, well maybe Chi town lol!
Well happy afternoon to us! Ya know, I've always liked Jesse James. I remember when he first started Monster Garage. He seemed very down to earth. He was amazing on the Apprentice, got along with everyone. I didn't think he was Sandra's "type", but I was happy to see them together.
ReplyDeleteI know we're supposed to be monogamous and mate for life and all, but um.... Jesse never claimed perfection the way Tiger did. Sure he screwed up, but it's not so surprising, is it? Jeeze, if I had to go on television and apologize each time I've "cheated" on a boyfriend/mate/spouse, I'd be my own Home Shopping Network. I'd be on all day, every day.

ReplyDeleteIf one of my husbands had cheated on me I would have killed them!!
ReplyDeleteor smacked gum or stunk up my bathroom.....or clipped his toenails in bed....but thats not the point....
wait...what was the point.....
OH!! Bonachichi!! What channel are you on??
Afternoon All!
ReplyDeleteCAROL: Betty White always makes me laugh..and you're so right, her timing is impeccable. I loved the "I don't like you.." comment too. Thanks for the vid..I'm going to look for the show!
DEEDEE: LOL @ writing about 'the sprinkler' I was wondering who that was.. ;)
CAROL: It's warming up quickly here..in the 70's today and 80's tomorrow. I'll be really happy with this weather for about another 15 or 20 degrees! I hate when it gets too hot to cuddle..I guess that's when the pool comes in handy... ;)
MO: I looked up the show..it's called "Hot In Cleveland" after all the snow you've gotten..that just made me laugh.. :D
Beau Bridges eyebrows have a life of their own..LOL!!
BEBBI: Next stop..googling Zumba..I forgot to do that yesterday!
LYNN: I'm with you..summer is NOT going to be fun. Our electric company raised the rates again..not looking forward to those bills!
BONACHI: Did you see Sandra Bullock on the Barbara Walters Oscar special? She said it took her a long time to decide to get married, but that she finally found the right guy and planned to stay married. I feel so bad for her.
DEEDEE: There's just something about those bad boys..isn't there?
MARY: Safe travels..win lots! I should have sent you my $5 chip! ;)
DIANNE: I saw the clip of the show..the song is "Someone To Watch Over Me" and it looks like it's from her TV show. Google does it again! :)
There's a lot of yard work to do around here..so I think I'll go outside, enjoy the sunshine and pull some weeds. Oh joy. ;)
Have a great day everyone!
heres the info on the new show....
ReplyDeleteBetty White Is Hot in Cleveland on TVLAND
TV Land has signed Emmy Award-winning and audience-adored actress Betty White to star in the highly anticipated TV Land PRIME Original sitcom Hot in Cleveland, which is scheduled to premiere in June. White will take on the role of the snarky but lovable Elka Ostrovsky, property caretaker of the home that co-stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick rent after their plane makes an emergency landing in Cleveland and they decide to stay.
"The talented Betty White is the finishing touch to this outstanding sitcom ensemble," said TV Land president Larry W. Jones. "Betty’s illustrious career spans more than 60 years and makes her one of Hollywood's most iconic and sought after actresses in television today.
"Her lively role as Elka in Hot in Cleveland is what viewers love to see from her — an amazing sense of timing and fantastic comedy genius. We are confident audiences will love her in this project, TV Land's first foray into scripted television."
TV Land has greenlit 10 episodes of Hot in Cleveland, starring a sensational veteran cast. Hot in Cleveland is written by Emmy Award winner Suzanne Martin (Frasier, Ellen) and is produced by another Emmy recipient, Sean Hayes (Will & Grace), along with Todd Milliner of Hazy Mills Productions.
Hot in Cleveland is a TV Land PRIME original production and is the network’s first venture into scripted comedy. The series will air in June on TV Land.
"We are thrilled that Hot in Cleveland is TV Land’s first original sitcom," said Jones. "The talented cast has amazing chemistry and delivers the clever script from a renowned sitcom writer with hilarity and sincerity. This show has enormous potential and we are so excited to be a part of it."
Hot in Cleveland revolves around three fabulous L.A. women of a certain age who are best friends (Bertinelli, Leeves and Malick). Their lives are changed forever when their plane – headed for Paris – unexpectedly lands in Cleveland and they soon rediscover themselves in a new "promised land." Loving their new home, the women find themselves living under one roof and battling the sassy caretaker (White) of the property they have rented.
Di~ Betty White is hosting SNL on May 8th~ I can't wait~
ReplyDeleteCarol~ LOVE me some Betty White...she is so dang funny~ Loved her on Boston Legal~ She was fabulous~
Bonachichi~ According to your way of thinking, I guess I wouldn't even have a commercial~ :)~
DeeDee~ Wouldn't the gun keep all of them from cheating? :)~
and the SNL info....
ReplyDeleteBetty White hosting SNL
It's official: Betty White will host NBC's Saturday Night Live on May 8, WNBC News announced Thursday morning.
Besides featuring the Golden Girl, who was the subject of a Facebook campaign to get her the gig, the special Mother's Day episode will also reunite six former female SNL cast members, most of whom happen to be moms: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch.
The show's creator-producer, Lorne Michaels, tells USA Today that the Facebook campaign, which kicked in after White's Super Bowl commercial for Snickers, "took on a groundswell. [White as the host] isn't something we would have said no to, [but the campaign] validated that, 'Oh, that'd be fun' … It was the outpouring of affection from fans, and we feel the same way."
And while White, 88, has no children of her own – except for her golden retriever, Pontiac – Michaels justifies her Mother's Day appearance by explaining, "She's the mother of us all in comedy."
I remember Betty White on a show when I was a kid... something about a news room and she played a ditz. Never would have thought she'd be the icon she is today.
ReplyDeleteI am not defending Jesse James. I think the world of Sandra Bullock and it does bother me that she's been hurt, and publicly too.
It's just that I'm one of those people living in a glass house. I shouldn't really be throwing stones. Don't get me wrong... I've absolutely nothing to hide from Mr. B, nor do I care to even think about it. I think my wandering days are over. But there was a time....
you've got to be freaking kidding me?!!! Bonachichi!!!! omg!!! are you talking about the Mary Tyler Moore show? duh!!!!~ (i'm so making fun of you now!!!) :D
ReplyDeleteBetty White starred in a show called Life with Elizabeth. She was newly married housewife and she was so comically ditzy! Rent them or YouTube them. Very sweet. She was kind of the precursor to the Happy Homaker she played on MTM and Rose on G.G's.
ReplyDeleteI saw her on Leno and she sang BEAUTIFULLY.
Oh and BTW, I am NOT old enough to remember ever seeing Life With Elizabeth on TV. I saw some videos!
ReplyDeleteThat's it!! The Mary Tyler Moore show! Tina, I don't remember because I'm not as* old and decrepit as you are.
ReplyDeletebtw... I was having some "network" problems, so I watched Alice in Wonderland whilst waiting for them to fix themselves. I never knew the original Alice in Wonderland story, so this was new for me. I was just wondering... Is this a story best enjoyed whilst under the influence of some mind-altering substance?
*I am lying. I think I am actually a few months older than Tina.
Oh Lord I can't believe someone does not know the Mary Tyler Moore show! Bonachichi? Tina go ahead make fun of her.
ReplyDeleteThat show made the whole cast Iconic in American pop culture and entertainment.
After reading what Deedee posted I may have to add some channels to our Comcast programming. Sounds like my cup of tea or cawfee.
You guys crack me the hell up.
Mo who are you trying to kid? LMAO
Mo next time say you saw some DVD's, saying videos dates you. imjs
ReplyDeleteBack....busy day and even got the car washed. It is 68 here today and the snow is all melted.
ReplyDeleteMO: Do you watch the videos while you listen ot 8 tracks? Remember I am much older than you so I listen to records!!!! BTW, Your picture on FB is so pretty. I think we are going to have to change your annimal..you look like a beautiful swan.
BONO: Whew....looks like lent brought out confession from you. We will have to see if TINA gives you absolution.
ZONA: You had better make your doctor appt for this week if you are going to insist on pulling weeds. You know what that does to you. ..... so,......make that call.
I went to my favorite store shopping today as they had customer appreciation day of 40% off and then I have a card for 10% more off ....got some good deals.
DEEDEE: I am with you....cheating = death if it was my husband. I only had my first do that but I didn't know until well after I divorced him so no point in killing him then....I moved on.
BONO: Now what channel did you say that would be on...your show? :)
DIANNE...I never had an 8 track player. I LOVE albums. I will never part with my turntable.
ReplyDeleteLYNN...ha ha ha! Actually, it they were DVD's and I did think of correcting that, but thought why bother. Guess I should have!
Health Care Bill just Passed!!!!!!!! Wahoooooooo!
ReplyDeleteIt's not perfect but it is a start!! No more pre-existing condition crap for sick human beings!!!
ReplyDeleteand thank God the money won't go toward paying for abortions~
ReplyDeleteI will have you all know that I wasn't ALLOWED to watch TV as a kid. I was out plowing the fields, milking the cows and pedaling the bicycle-powered generator.
ReplyDeletebull crap! You had a flat screen in every room of ur mansion!!!!!!!~
ReplyDeleteand I had to walk to school barefoot 10 miles uphill each way
ReplyDeleteDianne, the Bonacci Follies were cancelled years ago when they ran out of material. I didn't consciously decide to behave; I just met the right guy and I don't want anyone else.
ReplyDeleteMo, you must have lived round the corner from my dad. Walking everywhere in the snow, uphill both ways. How did you manage getting through the bull-pen with the mean bull and the cemetary you always had to cross?
ReplyDeleteLove me some Betty White!
ReplyDeleteTina Sorry, but imho, not including abortions in health care bill just makes things more desperate for people with no money, as usual. People with resources will continue to get them anyway.
I added my son to my cell phone plan and just found out I have a current bill for $453! Yikes! I think we need some adjustments to the plan and need to get some more numbers added to the Friends and Family list. Ya think? He's going to call them tomorrow and see if he can get some of the charges taken off.
I'm going to sign off now. I'm on my brother's computer. It is warm here in SoCal but Mom made a turkey dinner anyway. It was delish but made me very tired.
BONO: Guess I will have to look for the re-runs of your old shows...I'll let you know if I find them and you can get paid some royalties.
ReplyDeleteJ/L: Yum...a turkey dinner...that sounds wonderful this time of year and this time of night too when I am getting hungry again...guess Taco Bell wasn't all that filling tonight...yup, didn't cook again...was out too late.
Good night all.
