~ Pray for You ~

by Tina~in_ut

A friend at work told me about this video. When she told me the title, I thought....ugh.....a religious song! Since she is Mormon, I was thinking along the lines of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir! You know....boring....something DeeDee would like!~ :)~ I put off watching it, but when I finally did, I laughed so hard. Then I started thinking.....did I ever have a boyfriend that I disliked so much that I would wish him harm? I went through them all, one by one, and I have to honestly say, I wouldn't wish any of them harm. But then, I remembered two people, one "man" and one girl, and yup! I could prolly sing this song to them! lol~ okay....I'm just kidding, but for a split second, it was fun to be just a tad evil~ Was there anyone in your life that you'd sing this song to?

  2. Shit ok, I confess I laughed out loud. I can't think of anyone I know that I would wish evil on, but there are a few politicians that I keep hoping will see the light, and if that takes brakes failing or a flower pot...well that would just be icing on the cake.

Tho I do feel that it is a sin to pray for the misfortune of others. However, Wishing is a whole nother story.

BAM! I am pretty today! I just look so sassy and perky green.

  3. What a nice morning chuckle, Tina! LynnD, congrats on beating everyone else in the pretty department. Happy day, Hooters!

  4. Have to finish on FB as I have an appt. with the Ultra Sound wizard to see how beautiful my kidneys and innards might be.

Goldie isn't Whabby a delight? Also so damn cute! Glad you are having fun.

Dianne I am so glad you are home and were not traumatized by a big Salami. Who needs mints on your pillow when you have your own bed to welcome you. Snow is just sunshine that is solidified. Folded towels in shapes? Hell just give me a clean one that dries me off. Have the mister do the laundry and make the bed. Bet that would be better than anything on the cruise! LOL

  10. Good morning Ladies (and I use that term loosely).....

Tina...since you have once again chosen to insult me first thing in the morning....I won't be commenting on your the video you found for this blog.....except to say "Oh! another song".....

Moving right along.....its an exciting day for me....Lisa and I are having lunch this afternoon and that is wonderful!!

I heard the most sickening thing this morning and I almost hate to bring it up....but......OJ Simpsons former sports manager has offered the suit Simpson was wearing at the time of his acquittal to the Smithsonian....the SMITHSONIAN!!!

Naturally the Smithsonian refused the stupid offer but Simpsons attorneys said that they are disappointed because this is a part of American history and that many museums will want it....

    Bullshit!

I will gladly pay whatever amount this idiot wants for the suit....and if I do indeed acquire it....I will alert the press that I am going to burn it along with an effigy of Simpson in my front yard!!
And sell hot dogs and marshmallows for people to roast and raise money for battered women!

I feel sure that many shows would want to cover the fiery spectacle...

  11. LYNN....YOU are so beautiful today. You are all ready for St Pats Day!!!

TINA; They play this song on my country stations all the time. I can think of an ex or so that I might I have sung this song to at the time....but now I am old and mellow.....so no one today anyway would I sing it too. And BTW, are you allowed to be listening to this and singing along during lent, my dear???

LYNN; It is absolutely not the same to have my husband do all that cruise stuff. The cruise staff do it with a smile and I love the bed on the ship..a great big one that rocks me to sleep at night. Nope.. I'm moving to a damn cruise ship!!

DEEDEE: Let me know when that news will be on TV about your yard barn fire! I would like to be there myself...would you fly me there in your "old" jet....please???

CAROL: Good morning to you this sunny morning. Our temps have been up to mid 50's...hope your's are better too. We are hearing of snow later in the week. March is usually our snowiest month here.

I sent out a couple of emails to people I know their email....Who is going to Chicago???

I am off to have lunch with a friend and tomorrow I get to have lunch with my DIL and 4 yr old grandson and then visit until the boys come home. They have been so busy with wrestling that I have barely seen them since Christmas so I can't wait to see them.

ZONA: FROM AREA 51...Let me know when you start getting bored with my vacation stories because the first of the blogs will be this week ...if I sit my butt down and write it.

    bbl....

Hi to all that fly in sooner or later....

  14. O.J. must be hard up for cash if he's trying to sell off his clothes. Sure, he's part of history. So was Heinrich Himmler, but nobody wants his clothes either. Set the suit on fire, preferably with O.J. still wearing it.

  15. Well Whab, Jim & Goldie, where did you three wake up this morning? Awfully cozy posts, one after the other!

Zona, I answered your Nero question in A51; let me know if you want help finding something comparable that you can at least try for free.

  16. TINA: I don't think I've ever wished anything bad on anyone..I just figure they'll get it in the end..when it really counts.

My mom had her own way around this dilemma..she would just pray that whatever someone wished on her..would be sent right back to them! She figured that was fair! :D

    LYNND: Oh my..what is that glow..I can't see clearly..is that..oh it is..you got FIRST..congrats! :D

I sure hope your test went well!

BONACHI: Thank you so much for your input on the program..I sent you an email on FB!

    CAROL: Evil Regis??

Did IS #2 get that program installed successfully for you?

DEEDEE: Enjoy your lunch with Lisa! :)

DIANNE: Bring 'em! I will never get bored..you have a wonderful way of telling a story. I can't wait to read your blogs!

BEAR & GOLDIE: YAY! Sounds like you had a blast!

I better get outside..the weeds are calling my name..Have a great day everyone!

  18. GOLDIE...sounds like you are having a FANTASTIC vacay! YAY!

DIANNE...welcome back. So glad you enjoyed your cruise. Looking forward to reading about it.

TINA...have no idea what the vid is, but I have never wished evil on anyone. But sometimes I do pray that the way they behaved comes back to them...two fold!! Karma to the nth degree!!!

    LYNN...how did your ultrasound go? I hope all is ok. {{hugs}}
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention how pretty you look today!!

    BEBBI...your pic is gorgeous.

  19. Good evening Owls.

I left the house at 11am and the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Then all of a sudden it turned dark and cold and ugly and the sky opened up and dumped a buttload of water on Sac. I wasn't prepared and I got soaked, but as sweet as I am, I didn't melt. :)

Tina, I think this song is a hoot. There was a time when I would have sung this to a few people, but like Di, I have mellowed in my old age and now I know that karma will exact my revenge.

  20. Lynn, You sure do look perky and pretty at #1. How did that ultra sound come out?

Dee, LMAO. You could make a fortune and for such a good cause, too. I would certainly buy a ticket.

Bonachichi, LOL @ burning the suit with OJ still in it.

Goldie, How exciting that you got to meet Bear and Jim. We could have had a mini BABB with EBJ, J/L, Lani, and me. How much longer will you be in our neck of the woods? Did you see JBJ in Sac last night or have you yet to see him?

    Zona, let the weeds grow....

Waving howdy to all the other Owls. I hope you all are cozy and dry.

  22. Mo: Good to see you and thanks!

  23. Zona..

On Regis and Kelly, each Tuesday after the Bachelor aired, they would show portions of the snow, and "evil Regis" (in cartoon form) would comment on some the things they said on the bachelor, he would sit on their shoulder with a devil costume on and be really really evil..

    cracked me up!

  26. Sorry I am popping in so late. How odd that I would think it is late now. I used to be a true night owl but the current circumstances has changed that. I can't watch the vid on this BlackBerry. There have been people in my life who I would have wished ill but not any more. All scores have been settled.

  28. WHERE are all the comments? I am worried that no one will want to write blogs if there isn't very many posts. Am I worrying about nothing???? I hope so. I promise I will try and post more now that I am back. I so enjoy reading the blog everyday and am guilty of only reading some days. Ok...night all xxoo

    ReplyDelete
  29. DIANNE...I hear your frustration. I can't speak for anyone but me. I have been less then a good night owl. I have a lot of things going on and bothering me and I don't want to come here and be maudlin Maureen. The energy it takes to be a chirpy owl just isn't there right now. The winter, among other things has taken a toll on me. And frankly, there are a lot of times that I just feel disconnected. I have had a hard time of letting go of some things and that is my issue to deal with.

'm sorry if when I do post I can't comment to all. I am just too tired and my brain is whirling in too many directions.

I will try to do better. I do not want to abandon the nest. It has brought so much to so many...me included. I know how hard Carol works to keep this going, and with the help of Tina, and I do appreciate all the hard work that goes into it.

I have tried to come up with a blog to write and can't get my creative juices flowing...

Now I'm late for leaving for work!
