    Good Morning Hooters!!!

Going to be a beautiful day in WESconsin today- Stanley is going on more adventures.

I spent about 1/2 hour on my front lawn with the Dane County Sheriff yesterday. He was so nice as to come over in full uniform to take his picture with Flat Stanley.

As we chatted about this and that several neighbors drove by, staring the whole time. Wanna bet I am the talk of the neighborhood??lol

  4. Morning Glories!

Tina you are so Fascinating this morning!

Carol you chocolate Ho you! I love it! Way to go Tina. I just want to lay in that pile and roll around! PS I can send you a new cawfee holder when the other owls send you that new car.

Goldie I think Flat Stanley needs his own badge. :)

I have a paint party at the Food Bank today. 7 soldiers from the 62nd Brigade are donating their time and muscle! Should be fun, except I woke up with the same headache and now a sore throat and ear ache. CRAP!!!! I don't have freaking time to be sick.

Bebbi I am so sorry about your co-worker. I have sent prayers and will send more.

PS I am in need of Tequila, Vodka, and Rum! All donations gladly accepted. I would even take mixers for any drinks they would make. imjs Purely medicinal.

  5. TINA...you are a SWEETheart! And oh so tall and pretty!

GOLDIE...keep Flat Stanley away from the chocolate or he won't be flat for long!

CAROL...OMG, how cool! You are gonna be a happy girl for a long time! I hope someone included wipes with the chocolate to clean your fingers and face!!

LYNN...I hope you feel better. Just think of those hunky soldiers...just what the doctor ordered!!

  10. Mo sending you many (((Hugs))) today! One of the soldiers that helped last week was a doll. I hope he is there today. I will send you a hunk photo! Maybe that will cheer you up! I am loading up on Ibuprofen and water. Maybe a pain killer. I think I have one left here.

Goldie bucking for Aunt of the year??? I think you have already won hands down looking at that list!

Tina really Carol's butt???? Unless she is using that stash for a choco enema I just don't see the wipes connection.

Gotta go. Have to try to look like I am not sick. I think that is going to take a whole lot of Mary Kay and spackle filler.

  11. LYNN...thanks! Yesterday is over and today is a new day. It is sunny and I have a wedding shower to go to then an evening with the fam. All is good.

I'm looking forward to the pics to drool over!

    GOLDIE..you win, you win!

  12. Uh oh TINA....more chocolate to CAROL....the sweet adorable side of you is showing and you know how you hate that to happen. What a nice thing to do. So on that note, I guess I will say you are "kind of" pretty today. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND....I saw what you wrote about your Bronco bag.

CAROL and EVERYONE ELSE: Please look in your beautiful Bronco bags as there were Bronco air fresheners in each one. Hey, I had to go to two different car wash places to get them!!

One more thing btw, it isn't very nice to talk bad about a present that was given in love to you. Heck , even Raider fan SACBARB was carrying it all over Chicago...I am pretty sure I converted her.

    ReplyDelete
  13. LYNND; Don't be hanging all over those military guys...well ok...go ahead. It won't make painting near as bad with those guy around and it should be fun...hmmmm, painting fun....well maybe. PS From Area 51....no lie LYNN..sorry!

GOLDIE: You must not have seen my post yesterday about MRG. You wouldn't be so sweet if you knew "our" secret.

MO OR MONTH (as you will be all next week on my trip when I am using my phone)...glad you have a fund day planned. Great outlook that it is always a new day. I would start singing the Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow if I was there with you.

Off to get my hair colored back to normal so my cousins in Texas think I still look young.

Have a good Saturday. BTW TINA, how did you like the movie?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hi Tina and you do look stunning today..wtg on the chocolate for Carol.

Hello Goldie: Hey, my son had a flat stanley and we still have the scrap book and HIM..in my son's memorabilia. He was taken to meet the Mayor of Niagara Falls..and all kidns of people by his Aunt..it's so cute. WTG, you are definitely going to get Aunt of the year...!

Good day to: LynnD, Mo & Dianne. I hope you are all having a good day.

I walked to Kroger with my daughter and then walked home. Thenk, walked to Fresh Market and we had a lunch sitting outside from Fresh Market goodies. Then, walked home..now I am 13,131 steps and ready for a nap! Bought some beautiful ribeyes for dinner which will be a rare treat for me. I love red meat but don't indulge too often anymore.

Going to see Ironman with my son at 3, that will be fun.

Thanks for all the prayers for my coworker. I certainly hope he makes it through this next round of treatment with better results.

    BBL~!

  15. Tina & Mo: I must be missing somethign because I can't figure out the whole "wipes" connection either...or why my butt got involved...haha.

    ReplyDelete
  16. i do have a random question for the universe. Why is it when you are going on a walk and you get to the furthest point away from ANY RESTROOM...that you have to go?...Why is that?

I have tricked the universe though, because my mom's house is close to the park and every time it does that, I just run to her house..hehe...so there, MR. Universe..put that on a stick and suck it!

    ReplyDelete
  17. okay..taking my lazy butt over to the couch and vedging...nap time..baybee.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi hooters,

Some of my favorite chocolate are included in that picture! I think the only one missing are Sees nuts and chews!

I only want chocolate maybe once a month, luckily.

Di, no I don't watch Biggest Loser. I am not happy with how Survivor went down Thurs. night, so tomorrow's finale will be interesting.

I am sooo glad the Bachelorette starts a week from Monday! :)

Bebbi I'm so sorry to read about your co-worker. I believe in positive thoughts and energy, so he should be getting lots of those from your friends here.

What or who is flat Stanley?

    See ya'll later :)

  19. TINA - What a lovely sight at 1st!!

    CAROL - You're set....for awhile ;)

GOLDIE - I say you win best Aunt, friend, Sister, wife, Mother, and Grandma hands down!!! Muah ♥

LYNN - Painting with a bunch of hunky men? Sounds like the best medicine to me!!

MOHO & BEBBI - Waving a wing @ you both!!

DIANNE - I've been USING my pretty bag!! On the days that I don't open I've been walking to work so I stash my purse, cawfee cup, soda cup, and my water bottle in it!! AND my air freshener is hanging in my new truck!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. EBJ....we were typing at the same time.....waving at you, too!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Please say a prayer for the LANE family. GRANDMA LANE (LOIS'S mom) passed this morning. LOIS.....luv u!!

  22. Tina Good morning, Tina the Beautiful. I know those are feathers on your head but my first impression is always that it is a bush; probably a sprouting bush from FV. LOL It was nice of you to send Carol a new stash. I just saw that NASCAR is on TV. Are you watching?

Goldie I love hearing all the adventures that Flat Stanley is having. How fun! Good thing he wasn't around when we all met in Chicago. He might have ended up in the waffle press. LOL Reminds me of Mr. Bill. Oh, no!

LynnD Amazing what a little spackle can do for a girl. I hope you feel better as the day goes on. I'm having close relations with a Kleenex box.

MO It sounds like you'll be having a nice day today. You so deserve it.

Dianne Thanks for telling me what that air freshener is. When I saw it, I thought it was a Christmas tree ornament and I was thinking, "Hell, no!" I do find the bag to be very handy, though, and the pink owl is on my dresser.

Bebbi Have fun at the movies with your son. I haven't seen that movie yet, but I hear that it's very good. Make sure to take about $100 with you if you want to buy popcorn at the theater. ;)

EBJ I've watched the last couple of Bachelor/Bachelorette things because of people here talking about it. I don't think I'll watch this one, though, because she's a bit snively-little-girl for me.

Jodi Thank you for informing us about Lois' mom. :(

    ReplyDelete
  23. Lois/NoNewz I am so very sorry for your loss. Sending love and prayers to you and your family.

    ReplyDelete
  24. BonO Wishing you a Happy Birthday.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Happy Saturday Owls.

Tina, You are lovely today in your feathers and boa, only to be outdone by your generosity.

Carol, With your emergency kit and Tina's gift, your stash drawer should be full now.

Lynn, I was going to suggest that you mega dose with vitamin C, but maybe the hunks will be a better medicine. Of course, I still have an opened bottle of Skye I could send.

Mo, I'm happy that today is a better day for you.

Dianne, It is true that I carried the Bronco's bag all over Chicago, and I did it just for you, but I am not a convert. In fact I am thinking about sending it to a very good friend of mine who is also a Bronco fan. It would certainly get a lot more use. Would that be rude and ungrateful of me? I REALLY love the little owl, though.

Jodi, I'm so glad that you have new wheels that are dependable. Have you given your old car a decent burial?

Goldie, Hands down, you are Aunt of the year.

Bebbi, every time I read how many steps you have taken, I feel tired. Why do you think that is?

Waving a wing to all the other Owls. I hope everyone is having a great day.

    ReplyDelete
  26. It's a quiet day in the nest today. Is everyone farming? Perhaps I scared you away with all this nose blowing that I've been doing. Good thing I have a large stash of Kleenex. I haven't done crap today. I barely managed to get dressed. I just brewed myself some tea. Maybe that'll help.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Oh lord I am home and I feel like I was beaten to death.

I am sitting down and wondering if I will be able to get back up. I have not sat down for hours. We started with 8 soldiers and it ended with just two soldiers and me and one of my other volunteer board members. Thank God these guys were fairly young and did most of the work!

Lois I am so sorry for your family's loss. (((hugs))) to you.

Jodi you got a new vehicle??? Yay!

Dianne that's an air freshener?? I thought it was a coaster. I have been spilling drinks on it for days!

    Just/Lin pass the kleenex box.

    waving at you all.

    ReplyDelete
  28. J/L: Had an excellent time at the movies with my son! Bought a large popcorn (which he insisted should have butter) and a large lemonade..

Admission to movies $16, Popcorn and lemonade $12 Hug from son randomly after the movie = PRICELESS!!

    :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

We have found out that they may do an avengers movie too..so I told him we need to start going more often..I really love Ironman! Robert Downey Jr..omg, he's so good looking..!

We had ribeyes made by Mr. B on the grill and he made potatoes and green beans..and it's been a great day. First time on the grill, mom came over and we sat in back and it was perfect. Great Day!

I hope everyone is having as good a day..

Barb: I got 22,340 steps because after the movies I went and worked out on the elliptical for 40 minute too!

I sure hope everyone's day was wonderful. :)

Oh, and when I was walking with my daughter today I told her that we talk about poop all the time on here and how I told you all about her poop problems earlier in the week. She didn't get mad and just laughed. She said her and her boyfriend talk about it too..! So, really I think that it must be the processed food that we all eat nowadays that gives us the issues... We need a blog about it!

    ha ha....!

    Okay...I wrote a book now.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Lois: So sorry for your loss. :(

    ReplyDelete
  30. Barb: Not sure why you feel tired....it really feels awesome once you work up to it. I have way more energy than I have in a long time. :)

Di: How are you doing on your bicycle? Have you been doing more of it. I hope so. :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. J/L: Still have that cold or is it finally going away??

    ReplyDelete
  32. Jodi: Waving a wing back atcha!

    EBJ - Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Tina you are a beauty with that porcupine on you head!

Carol, I haven't seen that much candy since Halloween! Take it easy! I see a chocolate overdose coming on!

Goldie, I think you should try to get JBJ's picture with Flat Stanly!Let me know if I can help!

LynnD, I got tired just reading about your day! Chill out, have a stiff one ;-)

Mo, I think it is kind of weird that Tina has gone from my boobs, to Carols butt! ijs

Diane, Don't forget us while in Texas! Say "hi" to my Sis for me!

Bebbi, I need you to send me daily "get off your(my) ass and work out" messages!!! Seriously!! I so need to get motivated!

EBJ, First time I heard the word "flat Stanley", I thought it was a pee pee that was squished! I am so innocent ;-)

Hi Jodi! Glad you have "wheels"!!!

Justlin, love having you on FB/FV
but do you have to spread so much manure? It's getting mighty stinky in there lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Mary: This is your first official "Get off your ass and get motivated message". Please be aware that you may regret asking for this.! This message will self destruct in 5 seconds unless you get off your ass and go work out.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Lois, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss... thinking of you.

Mary, I thought a "Stanley" was the same thing as you. My uncle used to call his thang his "Stanley", he said he named it after the Stanley power tools! haha.

Can someone tell me what it really is?? :)

JL I don't do any of the farms, games, etc. on Face Book (unless sending hearts and gifts might count?). I have not even peeked at the farm, I do not want to get started and get hooked!

Bebbi sounds like you had an excellent day! :) Yipee!

Lynn glad you had the help today. You rock!

Jodi did you get a new car?

We had a hot day today, it was in the low 80s. MR. EBJ needs to vacuume the pool so we can start swimming.

Nancy the kitty turned 1 year old last month. She is 9 1/2 lbs now and looks completely different than when we got her.

Poe has spent most of the day saying SHIT ( we did not teach him this, he already said it when we adopted him). Funny how he gets in his moods and will say the same thing over and over!

In between his potty mouth, he is making his gross belching sound.

We are supposed to have lunch with SEASIDE LADY next week! Haven't seen her in ages.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Thanks Bebbi, I dragged myself to the frig and made a hot fudge sunday!

    ReplyDelete
  37. EBJ, I have wondered why Seaside had quit her connections. I haop she is ok. Last I heard from her was when a family member was attacked and beaten. Ask her how he is. I often thought about him especially after my Niece was attacked. Tell her "hi" for me.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Carol ~ your stash looks great!

    Lyn ~ feel better soon!

    Lois ~ (((((HUGS))))

Goldie ~ I love all the fantastic places you are taking Stanley. What a lucky flattie. My friend Lisa has triplet boys... several years ago she sent us 3 Stanley's to take with us to Disney. I think I had more trouble keeping my eye on the 3 flatties than I did on my own kids.

Not too much going on here. Ran 4.5 miles today and worked in the yard. Good times.

    Have a great night Hooters!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Good evening feathered friends!

LOIS...I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family.

BEBBI...I hope your co-worker does well with his next round.

Gee, CAROL hasn't stopped in. I hope she isn't sitting in a corner gorging on all the chocolate!

LYNN...relax and let Mr. Lynn wait on you! You deserve it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. MARY...OMG...LMBO! Worked yourself up to the fridge to make a hot fudge sundae!! TOO FUNNY!!

LYNN...spilling drinks on the air freshener / coaster...too funny!! (Sorry, DI!)

    ReplyDelete
  41. The wedding shower was interesting! The service was horrendous. They had one server for 18 guests. The last person got their food 40 minutes after the first one. Soda's took 30 minutes to get to the tables. Then the food wasn't even the same as was on the menu.(we had 5 choices to pick from)The ladies room had 5 papertowels on the sink. I told the owner that with 18 women 5 towels wouldn't cut it and she looked at me like was asking for her first born!! She finally restocked the restroom.

    Then there was the groom...

    ReplyDelete
  42. Mo: What was up with the groom? Sounds like a crazy time..sorry to hear the service was so bad..ugh..it makes it hard when it's like that..especially for the person who planned it. They must have felt terrible for everyone!
Also, thanks for the good wishes for my coworker. I certainly am praying he does too!

Mary: So proud of you..not for the sundae but for the elliptical. I hope the sundae was only a joke!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Annie! Way to go on running 4.5 miles! Dang, I am envious...was telling my daughter I would love to be able to run again..but my knees are too bad.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Mo, the laughs on me, Bebbi made me get on the elliptical for 10 minutes! huff, puff, wheez!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Anne & Bev. I missing running my 4 miles every day. I looked forward to it. The adrenaline rush was the best! kwim?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Mary: Thanks for getting me through my boredom tonight. :) I appreciate your friendship!! *boob grab*

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yes, I sure do! Love that feeling.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Night Bebbi, hope I didn't keep you up!

    ReplyDelete
  49. BEBBI...he is a creep. She deserves so much better. She is as SWEET as sweet can be, but has no self confidence or self esteem. He brow beats her. He came back for the gift opening and sat like a bump on a log. He didn't even help her as she struggled with big boxes. I actually yelled out..."Chris, ya think you can help her?" LOL! The schmuck never even said hello to anyone. Cripes, the shower was for HIM, too. After the gifts were opened, he never once thanked ANYONE...just sat there with a stupid look on his face. I told Rachel that she should tell him to thank at least the 3 Aunts that made the shower and he still didn't. I was FUMING. I finally went up to him and told him that before they left he BETTER thank Sharon, Joanne and Elaine for the shower as it was for him as well. He just shook his head and stood there. As the people were leaving and had to walk past him he said thank you. Why does someone have to tell a 26yr old man to say thank you?

He has contributed NOTHING to the wedding. Generally the groom takes care of the rehearsal dinner, the honeymoon, the booze and the brides bouquet. He told the mother of the bride that if he had to pay for the bouquet, then Rachel wouldn't have one! The bride's family is paying for the rehearsal dinner and her grandparents paid for the honeymoon...after she asked them to do that.

He has never made one attempt to be a part of the family. The last time they were here, he sat and ordered Rachel to get him stuff and played on his phone. Grrrrr.

I wanted to be wrong about him, but the more I see and hear and think I am right.

Another thing he did was at Passover. He is not Jewish but was invited to Seder and when he was leaving the hostess (Rachel's Aunt) thanked him for coming and hoped he had a good time. His response..."I don't like Jew food." The bastard could have just said thank you for inviting me and left it at that.

There are many things that have come out about him and his past since they became engaged (two months after meeting)and I worry for Rachel.

    OMG...that was a rant and a half!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Oh Mo: I don't blame you for worrying about her..two months, engaged..and he acts like that..that is a lot of red flags....

Good for you for standing up to him..maybe if he loves her he can be trained....at least he did finally say thank you to everyone as they were leaving...

I wish her the best...love is a strange thing..and makes us women too blind sometimes. :( Those rough edges don't always smooth out like we hope they will.

    ReplyDelete
  51. okay..going now..night...hugs! :) Mary, that was so fun..thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  52. BEBBI...thanks. I worry for her everyday. And I don't think she is in love with him...I think she is in love with getting married. 2 years ago she told me she would probably never find anyone to marry and she was giving up. She was 22 then. So sad.

    ReplyDelete
  53. MO! OMG, what a LOSER. I am really shocked that she would stick with a guy like that.

Doesn't sound like this will be a happily ever after.

The "jew food" comment is so terrible and offensive. UGH!

Mary, I will tell SSL hi for you! She sent us an anniversary gift, a b-day gift for me, and we just got a box of b-day presents for Nancy from her!

Haven't seen her for a long time, I know she has had lots going on. Looking forward to catching up.

    Good night!

    ReplyDelete
  54. MO just read what you posted right before me.

She is way too young to be getting married. It's sad that she thinks that's the best she can do.

    ReplyDelete
  55. EBJ...I can't believe Nancy is a year already! It seems like yesterday when you brought her home! Is she still a fiesty one?

Yes, she is too young to be married. He was already married once and she walked out after 2 weeks!! (this came out after the engagement, too!!)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Mo, Nancy has calmed way down, thankfully. She does have her moments where she turns into "pit kitty" (short for pit bull kitty) and she bites us.

I think it is just her playing, but she can bite really hard.

Is this your cousin who is getting married? That is awful that her family will spend all that $$, when the liklihood of it lasting sounds pretty slim.

Why is she so desperate that she will settle for someone who is such an asshole? Surely she sees that!?!?

And there really isn't much anyone can do!

    ReplyDelete
  57. MO I don't know who this bride-to-be is to you, but this is definitely not going to be a happy union. What a shame that she doesn't see that it is so much better to be on her own and safe than to be with someone who mistreats her. And that's all she has to look forward to, guaranteed. If he treats her that way in public, just think what goes on behind closed doors. How sad and depressing.

Bebbi I was feeling good, went to Curves and exercised several times earlier in the week, then, BAM, I got a relapse of this stupid cold. Mostly it seems to be sinus congestion and cough due to post-nasal drip. TMI?

LynnD LOL @ using the Bronco air freshener as a coaster. Passing the Kleenex box to you.

    Mary LOVE hot fudge sundaes!

EBJ It seems that Flat Stanley is kind of a paper doll and the point is to take him around and photograph him in different places, doing different things.

    ReplyDelete
  58. DIANNE - See?!!?

MO - What a jerk....with a capital J!!! I sincerely hope she sees the light of day before they actually tie the knot.

EBJ - Please give SSL a hug from me. I truly miss her ♥

SLIN - Your assessment of Flat Stanley is correct!!

LYNN - Did you get your stiff one?

BEBBI - Glad you had a good time at the movies with your son!!

MARY - Good for you!! I really have been trying to "move" everyday. And I have BEBBI to thank for that. :O)

  59. Mo~ yikes!!! wait...double YIKES!! tell her to RUNNNNNNNNN~ such a train wreck and nothing you can do about it....I'm so sorry~ She's so young, too~
