  3. Happy Monday Hooters!

Great vid, Shirley. Isn't yeast a key ingredient in fermentation? Where do the animals get all that yeast?

  5. Now thats a funny video!!

lmao at the "bonk" on the head.....

Many years ago I rode an elephant on a jungle trek in Burma....I think he had eaten from one of those trees...I never realized before that that elephants have these nasty hairs all over them! When I saw this I requested a hair free elephant...this was a very ritzy-titzy tour that I was on where your wish is everyones command...well you should have seen the hullabaloo that caused....all these men shrugging their shoulders and looking like WTF!!??
Well these 3 guys ran up with machetes....lmao.....I guess they were going to give the pachyderm a shave.....I tried to explain that I would rather keep the hairs attached to the elephant rather than having "loose" hairs all over the thing that would have blown in my face and probably my mouth and stuck to my skin because it was HOT and HUMID....

Well you try explaining THAT to a bunch of non-english speaking Burmese that are eager to please....and I'll tell you something else.....that elephant had all these beautiful blankets and things spread all over it and the thing I rode in looked like a gorgeous temple....just like you've seen in pictures....and they have these drapes for privacy but you can see thru them too....I think they have those drapes so people can't see what goes on inside that mini-temple on that elephants back....
You are thrown backwards and forward and from side to side....at one point the elephant stopped quickly and flung me out of my mini-temple....I was hugging his head and looking him square in the left eye....actually that kinda worked out because my good eye is on my right side....so yes...I was laying right on that nasty elephant hair....I just knew he was going to throw that big trunk around...snot and all and suck my face....but he didn't...

I prefer those Cleopatra carriers on the shoulders of shirtless men.....

    just a little travel advice...

  7. Hi, HOoters!

LynnD Congrats on being the first beauty today. I see you are still wearing red. It is a very good color on you. I don't remember your hair being brunette when we were in Chicago. Did you dye it?

DeeDee LOL @ your elephant ride. Maybe the drapes are to keep the flies off of the guests. Just a thought. Or maybe they were keeping the flies on you and off of the elephant. jk lol

Goldie Maybe they have little potted versions of that tree that you could keep in the office. Now that would be handy.

Bonach I know you need yeast for beer but I guess some other things just rot well on their own.

Shirley Thanks for the laugh today.

  8. Howdy hooters!
    LynnD You are bootyful!!
BTW,what do you mean by "this exact thing happen in Chicago" lol

Bonachi, no yeast needed. We used to have a huge berry tree. Each year the berries would ferment and birds would fly around drunk with the stuff, and poop purple everywhere. That tree had to go as some of the branches hung over our patio!

DeeDee,I'm with you on the shirtless studs :)
    Waving at Goldie & JustLinn~~

  14. We are having a little heat late season heat wave up here in NS. Nothing like what Zona puts up with. Actually if Zona were here she would probably have a hat, mittens and a scarf on. It's only around 30-32C (86-90F)with high humidity. I hate it! I fill my glass up with ice and it's gone in 10 minutes or less! It's suppose to be like this all week, then we are suppose to get hit with hurricane Earle Friday night and Saturday. Lynn D do you still have those 37F temperatues? Can I come visit?

  15. Hello Ladies!

That was a hoot, had no idea that happened with animals with that type of rotten fruit.

Who was the narrator of that video? He sounded very familiar.

The next time I get on Elephant I will always think of DeeDee when I look at their little hairs.

  16. I've been in an angry stage this past week and I thought it was over.

I'm really mad that he left me and the kids.

I'm ready to be done being angry, but it isn't happening.

So exactly how long will this stage last? I think it is making me wrinkle.

  19. BTW Jennifer do your kids have one of those blow up things that stands on the floor and you hit it but it doesn't fall down? If not, get one, and once the kids are asleep beat the crap out of it. You could even put HIS picture on it. ijs :)

  20. Good evening Owls.

Lynn, You sure are a beauty today. Love the strawberry outfit too. BTW, I didn't see the same thing you did in Chicago.

Shirley and Mary, We used to have a plant in our front yard that had red berries on it. The birds would eat the berries and then fly into our big picture window and knock themselves out. We found many a dead or dying bird in our flower bed before we finally took the plant out.
