This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Well, first of all if I had twins now I would shoot myself. But that aside, I never wished for twins and when I was preg with my youngest they thought twins at first. TERRIFIED ME.
My immediate thought on names was: Heckle & Jeckle Bonnie and Clyde Frick and Frack
On the way to work today I was almost t-boned.(asshole ran a red light) It was so close that I braced for impact. Scared me half to death. Good thing I peed before I left the house.
Well, on my home from work, same intersection- someone DID get t-boned! 2 people laying on the ground, being attended to by police. 3 cars involved. I think the third ran into the collision.
It made me sick. I thought about that was almost me a couple of hours earlier!!
Those damn f**ker's who run red light should be shot!
Congrats on 1st Goldie! I'm glad you weren't one of the people in the accident. Sounds like you need a shot of whiskey to calm your nerves! Take the rest of the day off too!
one small difference in me and the old lady in the video....I would have set him and his car on fire....
another difference is....I if were in front of him he wouldn't be honking his horn...well not with his hands anyway.....
sometimes one just has to honk when one is horny.....ijs..
AND...perhaps the most important difference...I would never risk scuffing a good pair of shoes by kicking a car nor would I risk a good purse by hitting a bumper with it.....GA!!
Involve yourself in this rough behavior and 9 times out of 10 ur going to damage a nail as well....its just not worth it...
which brings me back to my personal assistant....you know..."what would you take to a deserted island?"
Goldie! You are sooo beautiful today. A nice change from from you-no-who! (Tina) Happy dance for Miles & Mommy!! I shudder to think of what might have happened to you today! I have been close to the same situation so I know the sick feeling you had!
Bonachi, I loved the twins pic, so cute! Twins? No thanks, although Tina's are precious! I might have called them.. Tuna & Melt Door & Jamm Franky & Johnny
At the risk of inflaming a topic we had a few days ago, I have to tell you what happened to my sister last night. She is moving to the burbs of Detroit and landed what she thought was a dream job in her field of nursing. She was interviewed and hired. I had an uneasy feeling about it and asked her how her first night went. She said she declined the job, not because they were Muslims, but because of the way they talked down to her and insisted on calling all the nurses their "slaves". She asked if he was joking, he assured her not! Then she learned that they refused to follow hospital procedures for the patient and constantly complained about the staff. She did not feel she could work under those circumstances even at the high rate she was offered. She was hired on the spot by the nursing Co. that was there. A couple dollars less, but all the great benefits. A good example of one door closes and another opens :)
Goldie I see your beauty won out today. Congrats on first! Scary about your close call this morning. I'm so glad you are okay. And happy news about the baby. How wonderful that he got to go home.
Mary What kind of facility was that? Their attitude towards the nurses was deplorable.
DeeDee Your twins names cracked me up. :D
Bonach Thanks for the blog today. Twins seem to be more common now than they used to be. For names, I'm thinking Pete and Repeat.
Justlin, the brother(patient) is completely incapacitated. He had just been taken to his condo from the hospital. They had won a huge settlement and were able to have home care.
GOLDIE...how beautiful you are today. I'm glad you are ok and not part of the pile up. The only good T-Bone is one that was grilled medium with some grilled mushrooms and onions to go with it!
MARY...congrats to your niece on her new job and having the strength to follow her convictions and not choose money over her self respect. Way to go!
My favorite twin names...
DIS JUAN and DAT JUAN!! I kid you not!
I had another crappy day. On top of being the anniversary of my mom's passing, my sinus' are draining, my throat is scratchy and my head hurts. Work was a bitch. I need to sleep.
Mary- glad your sister held onto her principles and she was rewarded.
DeeDee,can you come and patrol the intersection I drive thru? I could use you to take care of the asswipes that run the red lights! But I don't want you to have to break a nail.
Mary-J/L- it is great news about Miles and Angie. I just hope he gets to grow to be a happy, healthy kid without to many effects of the 'accident'.
I hear ya, I had a crapola day to.. Urggg.. it just seems I went from one thing to another without getting anything done.. but there is good news for me.. NO work tomorrow.. I am not even going near the office.. I am going to try and enjoy my day, and I hope you do to..
1st??

Hello Goldie!
ReplyDeleteI like Copy & Paste, but they're not really "names". Maybe Mac & Tosh. Get it? Macintosh?
Good thing I never had twins.
Good morning!
ReplyDeleteYay Goldie got 1st today! Congrats!
When I worked in NICU there were lots of twins with some odd names.
A couple I can remember right off the bat:
Peter and Paul
(we also had triplets named Peter, Paul and Mary)
Stefan and Stefon
Many twins or other multiples who got the "George Foremen" legacy, being named the same thing only with diff. middle names.
I will prob. be able to remember more after I get some coffee on board!
I've been out of the loop the past couple days, need to read the blogs and catch up.
We're going to my mom and dads this morning, my brother and his family from NJ are here visiting.
Hope everyone has a nice day and weekend!
I found video of DeeDee! I've posted it on her FB wall!
ReplyDeleteMy heart is racing! Not in a good way either.

"slaves" they should be ashamed of themselves..

Mary, that's too bad about your sister. It sounds like maybe that family has an axe to grind. I don't care what their religion is. They're idiots.
