~ Anti-Theft Lunch Bags ~

by Tina~in_ut

I wish we had these years ago.  There is a person here at work that takes peoples lunches.  He doesn't take everything.  The weirdo actually picks and chooses what he wants.  I know he likes my Diet Pepsi's. He ripped a hole in my plastic bag to get it.  He steals sandwiches and frozen dinners and cookies and chips.  I wanted to get some of that exploding dye so when he got into my lunch (which I no longer keep in the fridge), he would really get it!  My bff used to work here.  She sent these pics to me because it made her think of our thief.  I knew why she sent it before I even read her note!  Do you have a problem like this at your place of employment?

  1. Really? A lunch thief? That's bizarre. Now you gotta tell us more!

  2. Good moaning,

    I love those sandwich bags!

No one in my dept. steals food out of our lunches.

We have a small dept. with a little kitchen and 2 small refrigerators.

Down the hall, in the big shared kitchen, there has been problems with lunch/food theft.

It is sad that people you work with have to steal!

  3. well you've lost me....are you saying you purchase meat bi-products and take them to your place of employment and then someone steals thems?

And that by placing the afore mentioned in transparent bags that this thievery can be stopped?

Does this mean that you are a "brownbagger" AND a "TEABAGGER!!??" ...so ur baloney DOES have a first name!!

  4. Well I know one thing, if someone wanted to steal my lunch I would make it a memerable experience. I would put so many laxatives in it he would be shitting for a month!!!!

  5. Moaning Tina, Bonachichi and DeeDee!

With only me and one other person in the office, lunch theft has not been a problem. I did loose a spoon once, but I may have thrown that out by mistake.

  6. Sorry EBJ I missed you in my good moaning! What did you think about The Amazing Race last night? I always feel bad for the first ones to leave.

  7. Shirley, I loved AMAZING Race!

Is it wrong that MR. EBJ started laughing when the woman got hit in the face with the watermelon??

  8. Wellll EBJ...I think that's probably just a gut reaction, case I kind a laughted too! I bet she had some bruising from it though the next day.

  9. Good moaning and morning!

Nope, no problem here. But then again I don't bring my lunch. I go home or out with friends over my lunch.

EBJ- I laughed my ass off at the watermelon in the face-even though I had seen it on youtube!

Good morning Miss shirley, chichi, DeeDee and EBJ and of course tina~

  11. Good moanin', HOoters.

I didn't laugh when the woman got hit in the face with the watermelon but did later when she kept repeating, "I can't feel my face". An inch to the left and she probably would have had a broken nose.

  12. I've never had my lunch stolen but I did work in a large office building and someone on the janitorial staff was getting into our locked cabinet and stealing money from a money bag we used to make change when selling a few items at display tables at occasional events. We did put exploding dye in it and someone got messed up. We never saw the person and changed the locks and made different provisions for our money. There were no more problems after that.

  13. TINA: I hardly ever ate lunch when I worked..and rarely do now..so I've never had a problem with someone stealing it..there have been occasions where I've lost my lunch..but that's a whole other story.. ;D

SHIRLEY: I watched Amazing Race! What did you think about the couple that couldn't find the flag..or the boat and didn't know what country they were in...lol..

EBJ: Have you picked a fave team yet?

J/LIN: I didn't laugh either..I'm surprised she wasn't hurt worse than she was. The 'I can't feel my face' over and over made me grin too, though. Isn't she one of the HSN hosts?

LYNN: How are you feeling today?

DEEDEE: I have this pic in my head that won't go away..dang my timing.. ;)

GOLDIE: Time to spruce up your avatar for Fall! :D

I better go harvest blackberries and then catch up on the laundry..have a good day everyone!

  14. Hello Everyone.....I never had a problem of people taking our lunch when I used to work. I think that would be a real pain especially your DP!!! Sometimes people would leave things in the refrig so long it would have been nice if someone did take it....stinky!!

CAROL: I loved the video. I watched it the first time on FB nad loved it again. It was so fun that they planned the whole thing out for the bride and groom. And....how lucky they have such a good travel agent to change their plans midway into the honeymoon.

I wanted to let all of you know that I finally received my pathology report late Friday and all my cancer has been cleared...margins, etc., and no further treatment will be needed. I go to the dr for it tomorrow. I can't tell you the relief it brings to me so thanks to all of you for caring.

I had a nice dentist appt the other day. I think they missed me!!! The broken tooth was a broken bridge of a brand new bridge so they are making a new one at no cost but what a huge ordeal to get the other one out for now and put a temp in. Have I ever mentioned that I hate to go to the dentist?

LYNN; How are you feeling today? I hope you are on the road to recovery. It is too soon in the year to be getting sick unless you are just doing it and getting it over....you and TINA both.

ZONA: Don't be asking me about "how about the Bronoces" when how "about the Raiders, 49ers, etc." except not Seattle this week ......they were the winners!!!

  15. Hi hooters,

Zona, so far I like the 2 drs. But that is subject to change as the weeks go by!

I couldn't believe that girl who didn't know what country they were in. "we're in the country of London".

I thought everyone had heard of Stonehenge before, but she hadn't and she called it "Stonehedge".

I'm glad the "watermelon face" was ok, that looked terrible. I didn't laugh at first either, I did when they showed it in slow motion though.

  16. Happy Monday Owls.

Tina, I wish I had some of these bags when I was working. Before we got a little fridge for the 8 of us in HR, we used the big fridge and things would go missing all the time. HR finally moved into an enclosed area by ourselves and I bought one of those $79 small refrigerators and we put it on a small table. No problem after that.

  17. I watched The Amazing Race and learned a lot, like London is a country, and Stonehedge is just a bunch of rocks! Can't wait to find out something new about the next 'country' they go to. I felt sorry for the girl that got hit with the watermelon, but she sure is a good sport. I liked the team that got eliminated. Watching them getting in the boat cracked me up.

  18. Tina, I see you're still moaning in first and looking george-ous too.

Shirley, putting laxatives in your lunch is a good idea, unless you forget and eat it yourself.

Lynn, I hope you're feeling better.

    Dianne, What great news.

Carol, The newlyweds are so lucky to have someone who can make those quick changes to their HORNYMOON plans. :D

Zona, It was hotter here for the first weekend of fall than it was for the last weekend of summer. I guess this global warming thing is really taking over. :)

Waving a wing to all the Owls. I can't decide whether to watch Hawaii 5-0 or The Event tonight. Any advice?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Watch both SacBarb. I just finished watching Hawaii 5-0 and I will tape The Event later and watch it tomorrow.

I have heard online that the watermelon that hit that girl wasn't really a watermelon but a water balloon. If you watch the tape slowly there is more water spray than melon spray. Plus if you think about a watermelon hitting your face that fast don't you think there would be a blooy nose or some redness or something? Once I thought about it and watched the tape some more I have to admit it looks fake. jmo

  20. TINA...I love that idea! I have had silverware stolen and a lot of people have had their lunches stolen. In our office if someone were that hungry and couldn't afford a lunch almost anyone would gladly provide one. It makes me mad that we work with some people that have no common sense and are selfish.

Nicole had her cookies and chips stolen everyday for a few days. I told her that she should put a note in an empty bag so the next time they tried to steal her cookies they would find a note saying...I hope you enjoyed the cookies yesterday...they were dog treats!!

I didn't watch Amazing Race. Maybe next week.

DIANNE...that is such good news!! YAY!

Sooo, London is a country now? When did that happen? LOL! Sounds like a Jessica Simpson clone!

  21. Di, so happy for your good news! Yippee!!

Mo it was almost comical listening to this gal on AMAZING Race. I hope she was just playing stupid.

She thought London was a country and like Barb said, "Stonehedge" is just a pile of rocks.

    Geez.

There was someone going through purses in one of our depts. in the clinic. This was a few years back.

So, everyone started locking the purses up, we were all pretty surprised that we had a thief amongst us.

Now that I've moved down the hall and in a small dept. I don't worry about locking up, unless I'm leaving the room for a meeting or something.

Time for DWTS. I really can't stand the Situation (how dumb is that name). I hope he's next to go!

He got put in his place for acting like a jerk last week!

    Go Jennifer Grey!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I guess I can't tell time. Still have 1/2 hour til DWTS.

    haha!

  23. EBJ...one day last week I went to the break room to heat up my lunch. I then went back to my desk and went to get my purse and it was GONE. I freaked out big time. I went back to the break room and sure enough it was sitting right where I left it! I totally had no recollection of even taking it there!! OY!

  24. Shirley I have no doubt that that was a real watermelon. They are mostly fluid inside, hence the name. They break easily, too, really.

  25. I saw this girl on ET and it was a real watermelon. She said she really hurt the next day but didn't want to ruin the race for them. (I bet it hurt the next day :)

  26. Dianne So happy for your good news. :)
