  4. Good morning Owls. I am back from San Diego. I was scheduled to leave on an 8:45pm flight and arrive in Sac at 10:05pm. Right after we got to the airport we were notified that my flight was delayed one hour due to weather in Boston, from whence my plane was coming. So I sent my son home and was taken by an airline employee to my gate via wheelchair. BTW, thanks Dianne for the info via Kathy.

When the plane arrived and the passengers deplaned it was announced that they had to do some maintenance on the plane and we would board very soon. Apparently something was really wrong and after another 30 minutes we were all directed to another gate to wait for another plane to come from I don't know where. We finally boarded at about 10:45 and waited on the plane while they moved all the baggage from the first plane.

We landed in Sac at around 12:45am, about 15 minutes after the ground shuttle closed. I had to take a taxi home which cost $60.00 before tip. The shuttle would have cost $26.00. Merry Freakin Christmas. I walked in my door at 1:31am.

BUT, I am home safe and sound and I had a great time in S.D.

  5. Bonachichi, Love the vid. I totally identified with the next to last monk.

Dianne, I must admit you look very pretty today. Love your hair. I hope you're feeling better. ((HUGS))

Lynn, Thinking of you and still praying for a good outcome.

I am going to try to catch up on all the blogs I missed. Have a great day everyone. BBL

  7. Diane, I always knew you were a beauty!!

HI DeeDee!! Thought I better get that out of the way. Didn't want to get my ass chewed out like you-know-who lol!!

SaBarb, what a day you had! I remember taking a shuttle service to my hotel when I went to the BBBQ. It cost $60 for Raquel & I, each way. We had a limo from the airport & and a nasty driver in a nasty shuttle van on the way back. Glad you arrived safely!

Fun Vid Binoch, I'm with Barb on relating to the "short one" lol!

  8. DeeDee, so sorry for the oversight. Need to get stronger glasses.

DIANNE: Helllloooo gorgeous! I heard something about some horses crossing the finish line first...finally. ;D

SACBARB: I'm glad you got home safely..and that you had a good time in SD! Wish you could have made the plane that was coming to AZ.. ;)

MARY: There's snow in our forecast! Well..for the mountains anyway..

    HI DEEDEE!!!

  11. Bonach That was a really cute and entertaining vid. Thanks for finding it.

  12. DeeDee I suspect Barb missed seeing you earlier because there is a bit of a fishy smell in here today and it probably distracted her. Not to worry, Dear, I'm sure we'll get used to it but perhaps you could flop yourself over on the naughty mat in case you are dripping.

  13. Barb Glad you finally made it home even if your wallet is a bit lighter. Speaking of lighter, I am trying to lose the 9 lbs I accumulated during my cruise, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Yikes! I'm down a couple and have 7 more to go.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Mary I've been meaning to ask you, do you make tamales for the Christmas holiday? Now that my son is in the midst of divorce, I didn't get any this year from his mother-in-law. Bummer!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Zona Will you have a view of the snow capped mountains? That will be cool. From my mother's house, we can see Mt. Baldy and it is so pretty.

  16. OMG, J/L! I think you better pick yourself for the next "quote of the day"!!

The monk blog was fabulous, Bon! I laughed out loud at the "vertically challenged" one on the right who had to jump in the air to match the high notes!

Barb: I can SO relate to what you went through! Last year I got caught in the terrorist scare at Detroit Airport on Boxing Day. My flight was delayed in Toronto for four hours, and by the time we reached LA, I missed my connection to Palm Springs and they had to drive us out on a shuttle bus. Arrived at about 11 PM, something like six hours behind schedule.

    Ya just never know....

  17. Dianne, I assume you wouldn't be posting such upbeat comments if you were feeling bad... so maybe we can begin to hope your nightmare's behind you?

  18. lmbo~ Zona is talking about that one mountain in Surprise next to the Jiffy Lube~

Di~ We discussed ur Bronco quarterback....now that I know where he came from....you should have a specatular year next year...with urban as his coach, he had to learn something~ And my "little one" informed me of the win......of course he rolled his eyes! (he has two!)

DeeDee~ you look spectacular today~ try looking spectacular while you hit REPLY!!!!!!~

Sackie~ see if the airline will reimburse you~ sounds like a mechanical situation in the end~ Our flight was delayed an hour yesterday.....but I wasn't about to say a word when they let all 5 of us on the plane!!!~

J/L~ I have to go outside and see if I can see Mt Baldy~ The Wasatch Mountains were gorgeous yesterday during takeoff~

Hi Bear and Mary~ it's a gorgeous day today in SoCal~

  19. J/L!!

Shirley was in her hazmat suit yesterday and I was going to wear the suit I got at the army navy surplus store last time as per Shirley's instructions....but I couldn't find it and this was all I could come up with!!

  20. *hands Dee Dee a hankie*

Tina, it's absolutely gorgeous in Palm Springs today... about 70 and bright sunshine.

I had to get out in it for a little while even though I'm still sick because, well, it's gone! Rain forecast for tomorrow and then a big chill for the rest of our stay here. :(

  21. Okay, I give up. I don't know who's where, how they got there or why they went. It just seems that nobody is where they normally are, and everyone got wherever they are in an interesting way.

I'm glad you all liked the vid. I get zero creativity points for it though, because it was sent to me and I just forwarded it to Tina.

Now I wonder if DeeDee still has that advert for the Asian sperm bank that I sent to her? I hope everyone's having a great day.

  22. Oh... for all you PC users; an "old" virus is infecting PCs again. It's definitely in the top 3 of the worst I've ever seen. A real pisser to get rid of. Careful surfing out there. Especially on Yahoo.

  23. DIANNE... your hair, and you look gorgeous! What are the Bronco's? Are they merry go round horsies?

SACBARB...sorry your trip ended so costly. At least you had a great time in SD and got home safe and sound.

DEE DEE...HI! It's a darn good thing you weren't dressed this way last week or CAROL'S mom may have cooked your for the Feast of the Seven Fishes! Did I say HI? LOL!

    WHABBY...feel better!

LYNN...still sending prayer for baby EVA.

    EBJ...Prayer for your niece, too.

  24. Funny blog CHICHI....

I went to see the Fockers today and it is pretty cute. I think I liked the other ones better though.

Tonight is the Fantasy Football Superbowl ending at my house. My husband and my cousin in Texas both made it to the game with their scores over the season. I am trying to cheer for my cousin since we have never had a woman win the Super Bowl before but it is kind of delicate in my house. I told Louis if he would split the winnings with me ($200) I would cheer for him but no such luck....

Hope everyone starts feeling better. I am just getting over a cold and it only lasted for three days so I am happy.

LYNN: Hope things are better today for your daughter and baby. Keeping you in prayers.

HI DEEDEE: You look kind of weird today...sorry you are crying!

  25. I'll be ok...thanks Dianne....Robert....

lol...hi Maureen...Carols fish fry did cross my mind...I must say the thought of getting "cleaned" is a little daunting...but there are days when one must make do....

I held my head high at my staff meeting today and I shan't lower it here....

    ReplyDelete
  26. and speaking of staff meetings...I read today that Prince William and Kate plan to live without servants!! They said having all that help around with impede the intimacy of living together!

    HA!!

Who will cook their meals and change their bed? Who will wash their poo poo undies? Who will put toothpaste on their tooth brushes? And scrub the toilet bowl!?

I'll bet that plan last until the dishes piled up and the royal sheets are crawling with dust mites!!

  28. JustLin,I have not made tamales since I was a kid. It was a tradition at our church. It was a lot of work. We had an assembly line of ladies stuffing the corn husks.
My sister in Texas sends me some a couple times a year.

Zona, I was trying to picture a mountain in the middle of the Arizona desert! Are you confusing yourself with Diane-in-Denver-who has-real-mountains?

Tina, you are at your MIL and you don't even sound miserable! Are you still sick? ijs

Whabby, enjoy your fleeting good weather and take care of yourself!

  29. Thanks, Mary!

Dee Dee: Yes, we will see...
