I loved the Mike Douglas show. I watched a special on him the other night. They showed many of the highlights from his show. My favorite was Mother Teresa. I tried and tried to find a video of it online, but to no avail. Finally, I just taped the show I had TIVO'd. Hope it comes out okay. I think her answer to his question is a great way to start the new year~
Happy New Year!!!~

Just tried to post a comment... it got FOADed... so here goes again!
ReplyDeleteSorry I didn't get in to comment on the party yesterday at the Manor! Sounds like a drunken extravaganza was had by all!
Jennifer: I second everybody's comments that you did the right thing! And how interesting that your ex didn't go after you for telling his Dad!
Tina Congrats on being the very first for the year. Gee, you don't look like you've aged at all since last year. What's your secret?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the vid of Mother Teresa. Custard and I were just both noticing recently, in our separate corners of the world, that there seems to be a lot of people walking around looking empty and joyless. I think many people are looking for fulfillment in the wrong places.
Oh, Hell's bells! It seems I fell asleep under the lobster table in my fine attire. There seems to be lobster shell stuck in the gold on my headdress. I need to change into something more comfortable. It seems Marc Anthony has left the building.
ReplyDeleteI guess this will do for now.
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone has a great year this year. May your best day of 2010 be your worst day of 2011.
Welcome 2011!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tina for the video :)
Jodi, sorry I haven't returned your calls, yet.
I have all the kids home now and they are on full force on destroying the house.
JENNIFER...no worries!! Enjoy the time with the kids!!

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteTINA: Mother Teresa was so wise..and it's sad that what she reflected on years ago is more true than ever today. I think if everyone would just follow the Golden Rule..there would be so much less sadness in this world.
JODI: Go Badgers!! Woohoo! I've got my tassels and pompoms ready!
BEAR: It sure was collllld last night..wasn't it? Brrr.. :D
Waving HI to DEEDEE, CAROL, J/LIN and JENNIFER!

ReplyDeleteI've been following the Jennifer Chronicles and something's missing... THE KIDS! The guy had visitation with them, and he shipped them off to grandma's so he could tie one on? Sorry, but that's just not on in my book. Jennifer, forget about his "feelings". Look out for your kids.
I'm off for another night of smiling. I hope my face doesn't break.
Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHope everyone had a nice NY evening and day.
I was asleep way before midnight and so was MR. E... that is par for us, though.
Tina, that is such a wonderful clip. What a wise woman, makes me get teary to watch and listen to her.
Zona, for some reason, pulled pork always sounds kinda dirty to me! hee hee.
My mom likes to make that too, and she says pulled pork and I have to push the vision from my head!
Jodi, my mom is a fan as she is from Wisc, and I have a cousin who is a Badger season ticket holder.
Bonach Good for you for being out there having a good time. Be careful making that smiley face; it might freeze that way.
ReplyDeleteDianne 14? I'd keep all my shirts on.
ReplyDeleteSlan I see you peeking in. Pull up a lily pad and stay awhile.
ReplyDeleteI see Tina is the top beauty ho of the year & Carol in under her,,, hmmm

We had a nice dinner last night and made a stop at our VFW. We were home by 11:00 which was fine with my. I got under the covers and did a lot of channel surfing. I was happy & sad to see Dick Clark.
Except for making an enchilada dinner, I did nothing, nada, zilch, zero!! I may repeat tomorrow lol!
Wishing everyone a wonderful New Year!!
p.s. Thanks for the warning Whabby, I will "copy & paste before "publishin" this comment!
EBJ I make pork and sauerkraut but I don't pull it. I use spare ribs. Not as pornish but sure is tasty.
ReplyDeleteMary Enchilada supper sounds great. Can I have your recipe?
ReplyDeleteBear I haven't seen the term "foaded" in ages. What a trip!
ReplyDeleteJustLin, I don't have a set recipe, I do it different every time.
ReplyDeleteMy son likes them dry & hubby likes sauce, but they both love that I fry up cubed paprika potatoes and place on top with cheese.
The meat can be chicken of beef. I use fresh spices instead of packaged.
You should have a tiny bit of Mexican in you too lol!! (porn intended).
Waving a wing at SLIN, BARB, LANI, WHABBY & BONACHICHI!!
ReplyDeleteDIANNE - Thanks for trying...it just wasn't meant to be :(
MARY!!! Enchiladas sound totally yummy right now!!
ReplyDeleteJust got back from the Main Tap. A couple of us girls from town met down there. My face totally hurts from laughing so freakin' hard!!
Wishing all my HOoters a peaceful 2011. I love you all ♥
