~ Missing Teeth ~

by Tina~in_ut
The dream blog the other day reminded me of something.  I've had several dreams about my teeth falling out.  I've had them ever since I can remember.  It may stem from the fact that I was told as a teenager that the meds I take for seizures will make my teeth weaker as I get older.  They HAVE gotten weaker and occasionally chip and one even broke.  ugh!  Has anyone else, besides Dianne, had dreams about their teeth falling out?

  1. TINA....it is my worst nightmare. SERIOUSLY!! I think it has to do with the fact that I grind my teeth. And....ewwww....I hope that is not a pic of DEE DEE'S mouth ;)

  2. And I must apologize....I didn't even realize my blog posted til THIS MORNING!!

I guess I was too busy jumping on SHIRLEY'S bed yesterday!! And working, and running to Wallyworld for Dad, and getting my hair cut!! I want to look my best for my lunch date with GOLDIE today. I even got my eyebrows waxed!!

  7. EEEWWWW! Jodi, I thought it was DeeDee's mouth too! Kinda turned my tummy!

I have had dreams of my teeth falling out, falling off a cliff & driving over an expansion bridge where it suddenly breaks off! Thanks for reminding me!! I need to replace today's blog with happy thoughts before bed time! lol!!

Have a great day everyone. I have volunteered to work at our VFW steak dinner until 7 tonight. I have baked a cherry lattice pie & a pumpkin pie. I need to get some house work done first.

Jodi, have fun with Glodie today!!

  10. Good morning MO!! I would be happy to give GOLDIE a hug from you! What's on your agenda for the day?

  11. Good morning.

    Interesting choice of topics....TINA!

No Jodi...that is not my mouth...I do not have a pustule inside my lip nor do I sprout whiskers....although my gums do look like hamburger meat....
    and they are sore.

I am in the process of having all my top teeth replaced with implants....

Monday I had all the teeth pulled along with some bone work.

All my teeth had been capped since 1973 and had become weak...hence the tooth that snapped off before Thanksgiving...

Yesterday I got a denture (upper) to wear until my gums have completely healed....

When healed the titanium post will be inserted into the holes that will be drilled into the bone. That is actually painless but it will do a minimum of gum damage so I will be wearing temporary teeth again until I am healed. But not the denture....temp teeth will be on the implanted posts...

Dental Insurance doesn't mean much with this. It's $1000 to walk in the door and don't let the dentist smile at you...thats $2000.

Find the location of the restroom yourself....if an assistant escorts you thats $750!

I expect when this is said and done that my cost will be approximately $35,000.00...

I could be paying less but the SOB smiled at me 3 times before I knew what was going on....

  12. Morning glories,

I believe the common analysis on dreams about teeth falling out is that you have said something you wish you could take back.

Hope everyone is having a fun yet peaceful Saturday.

    Sending out (((Hugs))) to Carol.

  13. Jodi wish I was having lunch with you and goldie! Hoist a drink for me!

  14. Deedee had a friend who had all implants put in last summer. He said it was the best money he ever spent. Good Luck!

  15. Oh DEE DEE, that sounds so painful. And then the pain lingers as you watch that 35K disappear. Did you at least get some good drugs out of it?

    ReplyDelete
  16. HODI...not much on the agenda today. Watching some movies, a little cleaning and eating junk food! Oh and a couple of naps thrown in for good measure!

LYNN...Please wish MR.LYNN a happy belated birthday wish from me!

  17. Update on Eva,

The pediatrician says she is healthy and she has gained weight and grown an inch. We had a little scare as her first blood prick test came back positive for Cystic Fibrosis but it was a false positive. We had two more tests that came back negative.

We have a series of Doc appts. coming up for her. Audiology so they can check the hearing in her left ear, Speech therapist to asses her swallowing and the big one is the neurologist on the first. We are really hoping he will give us the ok to stop the anti seizure meds. Eva has not had a seizure since the trip to the childrens hospital.

She is a beautiful baby that seems curious about her surroundings and is eating like a champ. So we are hoping for full recovery.

If I have posted this before sorry! I have written to so many people and talked on the phone too, that my memory is going. :)

My daughter is healing nicely and should get a positive report at her next doc appt.

  21. HOdi You look especially lovely today. I bet you and Goldie are still together, having a grand old time. I wish I could have joined you.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Tina Thanks for the blog but that sure is an unpleasant photo. I don't know why anyone would think that was a photo of DeeDee. Her whiskers are blonde....ijs.

    ReplyDelete
  23. SLIN - Just got back!! She found it ok...lol!! I also introduced her to The Peaceful Heart. A quaint little gift shop in downtown Oregon! Sam took a pic of us and posted it for all to see on FB ♥

    ReplyDelete
  24. SLIN.....lol @ her whiskers are blonde!!

    ReplyDelete
  25. DeeDee Seriously, I am very sympathetic to what you are going through. I know it is unpleasant and painful. I will be very interested in the process as you go forward.

  26. Time to make that pot of chili...I'll bbl ♥

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hey, HOdi! Did you and Goldie raise a glass or two or three to the Owls?

    ReplyDelete

  31. Good Afternoon!

TINA: Yep..I've had that dream..lots of times. It usually involved me shutting my mouth quickly..don't know why I'd do that..and snapping off the bottom eye teeth or whatever they're called. Gives me chills just thinking about it. I haven't had that dream in a long time..thanks for reminding me about it.. ;)

JODI: I just know you and GOLDIE had a great time at lunch..what was on the menu..besides a tall beer? ;)

    MARY: Cherry pie..yummmm!!

DEEDEE: OUCH and double OUCH! Did you decide which tooth to put the diamond in? Remember..no emeralds..or people will think that you have spinach on your tooth.. ;)

LYNN: Great news about Eva..and I'm so glad the CF test..that's wonderful! :)

    MO: 73 here today..ugh..

    J/LIN: I think 'unpleasant' is an understatement..lol..

  32. Good Afternoon to everyone. I am just waking up from a really long night sleep. I don't know why I slept this late today.

TINA: This is a gross picture today and D$EEDEE, I didn't think it was you (well, not too much). I think DEEDEE and I can do without dentist blogs!! We can make enough of our own---right DEEDEE?

DEEDEE: I am sorry you have so much to go through...my bridge being done for the fourth time seems like nothing compared to your pain. Sorry you have to do all this but you will be happy in the end!

LYNN: I am so glad to hear about Leah an d
Eva and hope the tests all turn out perfect. I think about all you a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  33. JODI: Oooops..you had hot chocolate instead of a beer..my bad..I type too slow.. ;)

    BIRDEE: See? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  34. JODI: I have my Packer tassels on again for the game and am cheering all the way for your team!!We are going out with another couple to dinner and movie tonight so you will have to keep me updated with text.

ZONA: Are you on the floor with the dog again or are you up walking? BE CAREFUL!!

MO: Your day today will be my day tomorrow..except I will be watching football. I love days like that once in awhile. I had too many of them this past year with all my ailments!

J/L and BEAR: Ok BEAR don't want to leave you out of 49ers talk. I forget you are there as you don't talk about pro football much. You do have the new most wanted coach so good luck to you. We are kind of excited about a new coach even though he is the most losing coach this year. Hey with Elway at the helm.....we think we are top dogs!! :)

MARY: How nice that your do all this cooking and working...you are so sweet. Now that I have said that can I have a piece of cherry and pumpkin pie?

  35. My most quiet oldest granddaughter was bullied by a couple of girls at school yesterday and came home in tears. I guess my daughter filed an "incident report" with the school. I just received a text from her and my GD's basketball team is playing the bully girls team and also the other girl that called her a bitch!!! Good thing I am not at the basketball game...kind of wish I was actually. Kids are mean. My GD ran away from these girls into the bathroom stall and they were still crawling under the stall to get her to "talk to the other girl". Now this is my GD that is so quiet!! GRRRRRR

    ReplyDelete
  36. GOLDIE - Thank you for meeting me in Oregon for lunch!! I'm so proud of you....didn't have to send out a search party!! Muah ♥

    ReplyDelete
  37. Good afternoon feathered friends!

My day so far...1/2 a movie and nap! No cleaning or eating junk food yet!

DIANNE...I hope your oldest GD is doing ok today. And I hope her basketball team beat the crapout of their team! The best revenge!!
What movie are you going to see?

ZONA...32* here...a heat wave! I hope today is better then yesterday for you.

HODI and HOLDIE...glad you had yet another good time!

    JUST LIN...LOL@ blonde whiskers!

    ReplyDelete
  38. ZONA - Now I know why I didn't see your post. I had posted the last one without reading comments....my bad :( The next time I'm having the Mexican Spiced Chocolate....TOTAL YUMMO!!

DIANNE - How nice of you to wear your tassels on your night out!! I'll be sure to text you updates. Good thing I'm not at your GD's game....girls can be so cruel!! Please give her a big (((hug))) from Wisconsin ♥

    ReplyDelete
  39. ZONA - We also had potato soup and a lovely panini on sourdough bread with turkey, bacon, swiss cheese, greens, tomatoes and a lovely herbed garlic mayo ♥

    ReplyDelete
  40. Chili is in the crock pot...bread sticks are waiting in the wings. Time for a nap before supper and the big game!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. The blog is the most disgusting thing I've seen today. And that's saying something!

DeeDee, sorry your teeth hurt. I won't hurl any zingers your way yet. Maybe tomorrow.

I read about Carol's situation and I'm genuinely sorry for it. Travel agencies are having a rough go, what with the online services everywhere.

Dianne, would it be tolerable to give your GD the tools to verbally defend herself? Help her with some comebacks to the verbal assault? Bullies tend to back off if someone fights back. Cowardly ingrates that they are.

I hope everyone's having a great day.... Goldie & Jodi, I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to hear about lunch!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. LynnD I'm so glad to hear how well Eva and Leah are doing. I hope you have a very nice and relaxing day today.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Dianne Yes, it is very exciting about our new coach. I will be keeping my fingers crossed. You have reason to be hopeful for your ponies, too. ;) Oh, and if you're wearing those tassels out tonight, the other couple may not want to be seen with you.....ijs

    ReplyDelete
  44. Mary I can't believe how industrious you are. You put me to shame. The only thing I made today was a sandwich.

    ReplyDelete
  45. HOdi Your dinner sounds so good! I can't feel too sorry for myself, though, as my son is fixin' to barbeque ribs. He's also grilling some zucchini and we have some big potatoes to bake. I wonder why I'm not losing weight? Any ideas?

    ReplyDelete
  46. MO Actually, that sounds like a perfect day off. I think I'd add some food into the mix, though.

    ReplyDelete
  47. BONACHICHI - Lunch was fun!! And I'm thankful GOLDIE was game to come out to my wee little town. I seriously don't care where we eat....it's getting to see GOLDIE that I love ♥ Seriously, though....I think my daughter Sam did most of the talking!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Bonach Good suggestion for Dianne's GD. I hope GD's team beats the crap out of the witches' team.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Zona Yes, "unpleasant" is a bit of an understatement. When it comes to all the teeth pulling, I've been there, done that. I just don't want to remember it with any clarity. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  50. JUST LIN...since getting up from my nap I have managed to make a sandwich and have a couple of handfuls of chips and dip! And I finished the movie!

I got a 3 disc set of Doris Day / Rock Hudson movies from the library. One down and two to go. I have a couple of OLD Cary Grant movies, too. But those are for tomorrow!

    ReplyDelete
  51. MO I remember when I was probably in Jr. Hi or early high school, going to the local theater and seeing the Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies. Loved it!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Carol I'm sorry you are under so much stress these days. Hopefully, things will turn around soon. (((HUGS)))

    ReplyDelete
  53. DIANNE: Nope..I'm in the chair and Nikki is on the floor..for now.. ;)

Oh man..I wish I had been at your granddaughter's basketball game too!! She is such a sweet, pretty girl..sounds like those bullies are just jealous!

J/LIN: I've had 3 teeth pulled..all while under light anesthesia..I'm a total chicken when it comes to that stuff!

MO: I love Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies! In fact I have that set! Enjoy!...and thank you! :)

JODI: Lunch sounds wonderful..dinner sounds even better! And what else did I want to say? Oh..I remember..GO PACK!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  54. MO - Love Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies!!!

ZONA - 24 minutes to game time....GO PACKERS!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. 6 minutes til the game....GO PACKERS!!!

    ReplyDelete
  56. OMG Tina I can't believe you posted a picture of DeeDee like this!!

    ReplyDelete
  57. DeeDee dear don't you have "people" to help you get rid of that stubble? And those lip!! Are you trying to get the Angelina Jolie look? What's happening to you? You're letting yourself fall apart dear. I guess corn isn't as profitable as we all thought.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Yes Jodi I did get your singing messages this morning. Lol! Thanks! Something was over the light on my answering machine so I didn't know I had messages until this morning.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Evening Jodi, Tina, Mary, Maureen, DeeDee, Lynn D, Just Lin, Zona, Dianne and Bonachi!

My avatar pic is one I got from DeeDee's dentist. It's what her teeth are going to look like. 24 carat gold!! No wonder she can't afford to have that stubble permenantly removed! ijs :)

  64. Yea packers and now on to miss America!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Congrats to the Packer fans.

I wonder what it is like to have a winning team!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Great game!! The Packers are truly Aaron's team now ♥

SHIRLEY - Let me entertain you....:O)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Can't wait to see who we play next week....Seahawks? or the Stinky Bears?!!?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Poor DeeDee! The last person I know who had all their teeth pulled was the late Bill Davis. But he didn't mind... he did it electively, as when he pulled his dentures out he gave better blow jobs!

Dianne: No problem... I should talk more about it! Jim and I are both really into both pro and college football!

    ReplyDelete
  69. This type of dream is very horrible. I have dreamed too about missing teeth but I was relieved when I heard about all on 4 dental implants therapy. You can replace your missing teeth or through this process.

    ReplyDelete
  70. This is really bad happened with your teeth. The above picture is showing clear fact. But if you implant your teeth then it will looks naturally. The all on four implants Chicago provides excellent tooth implants for patient.
