This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
I've had a peanut butter and banana sandwich, done 2 tax returns and am now going back to bed. Nighty night Owls! Please keep the noise down to a dull roar!
I just yelled I can't stand Billy Ray Cyrus and realized it was Keith Urban. Oopsies. They must see the same hair dresser.
Deedee I hope you made him cry until he was carried off to the nut house.
Whabby from Area 51: I don't get it either. Shaking my head.
I posted pictures from the rally yesterday. There were about 2,000 people there yesterday and it was about 19 degrees with snow and ice on the ground. Unusual for WA state and people kept coming.
Evidently there was a counter protest by the Teabaggers on the steps of the Capitol but they only had about 200 teadious people showed up. :)
Dee Dee: Ghaddafi's performance problems are understandable. Tonight, spice things up by watching "Ilsa: Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheikhs" with him!
Everybody going to watch the Oscars tonight? We're heading to our friend Matt's place for his annual Oscar party. He's serving Beef Wellington tonight in honor of The King's Speech!
Bear I'm going over to a friend's house and a few of us will be watching the red carpet arrivals and then the Oscars. More casual fair for us; pizza, and various appetizers. We will have champagne, though, and I'm bring some Bailey's for later.
WHABBY - Waving a wing at you, too!! I'm planning on at least watching the start of the Oscar's....but with having to be at work at 4am....I'm sure that I'll zonk out long before they are done.
It has been a long time since I've been here. I felt soooooo out of touch with all of you. Thank you to all who texted me or commented on my fb status and helped to keep me entertained ♥ Also a HUGE thank you to everyone that has asked about my Dad. He's hanging in there. The prednisone is helping. So instead of using his rescue inhaler every 2 hours, he can now stretch it out to every 3 hours.
Hi Everyone.....TINA: I love Keith Urban and all his songs. I think he and Nichole make such a cute couple too.
SHIRLEY: WAKE UP YOU HAVE BEEN SLEEPING LONG ENOUGH!!!!
I have done nothing today except some laundry and read the paper (that takes a long time). Of course, I slept pretty late too.
J/L and BEAR: How fun that you get to attend Oscar parties. I would like to do that also....kind of like a Super Bowl party (without falling) :) Hope you both have a good time.
JODI: I am so glad to see you back on the blog. I have missed you so much. Computer all fixed and ready for a couple of more years? I hope so. Glad to hear your dad is a little bit better. You know I am always sending good thoughts to you.
MO: Our news was showing the worst weather in the US this winter (besides Alaska) and it was Cleveland. It looked miserable there and they said rain for next week and possible flooding. Stay away from the water and stay safe. I think next winter you might have to come to Colorado and hand out for the season.
LYNN: Well, I didn't see you on t he news yet but I keep looking. Could you draw an owl on your sign so I can pick you out easier. You have a lot in you to be out in that cold snowy weather.
DEEDEE: Sounds like your date fell a little short from fun last night. Maybe you need to pick them better.
Well, I am going to get ready to watch the Oscars. I haven't seen very many of the movies this year so it won't be quite as fun but I love to see the show...you all know how I am with award shows!
DIANNE - Thank you!! I'm just praying that this fix will hold out long enough until I get my next year-end bonus. I really would like to upgrade my system!!
I love Keith, but can you fix it so that the Vid doesn't open automatically! Scares me every time lol! I finally turned off the volume.
DeeDee, I must say you look a little out of place, especially with that Peter Pan hat!
Mo,Are you sick of the weather yet? Spring is only a few weeks away!!
LynnD, LOL @ "Billy Ray"!
Justlin, pour me a class of Champagne!!
Whabby, I love love Beef Wellington. I haven't had it in years!
Diane, I read the paper front to end every day, sometimes before I have breakfast. I do have to fight Mr Mary for one section. He takes forever to do his puzzles!!
TINA: Very pretty song..very cute Keith Urban..kinda like the truck too... ;)
SHIRLEY: Hey Gorgeous! Sounds like you had a busy morning..heck a busy week! I hope you were able to get lots of rest!
LYNN: Great pics on FB..but what did you think we might write about the one where you're on your knees.. ;D
MO: I know who he is..he was on Numb3rs! Now to the other two things I need to Google.. ;D
BEAR: I loved the Oscars when I was young..but I rarely watch awards shows anymore..I'm not sure why.
JODIIII!!!!: Missed you! :)
J/L: Enjoy your evening..enjoy your champagne.. :D
DIANNE: Your laundry and paper tops my receipt sorting.. ;D
DEEDEE: Only a little? lol..
We're having our taxes done..better get back to sorting all the papers. SHIRLEY..it's ok with tax preparers if we just throw everything in a plastic bag..or a shoebox..right? ;)
HODI...Welcome home! SO good to see you perched upon a branch at the manor again. glad your dad is doing better. {{hugs}}
DIANNE...it has been a LONG and disgusting winter here! It was 50 today and the low is only going to be 41. We are expecting 50 again tomorrow and yes, rain. There are flood warnings all over the place. Lots of snow to melt and then the rain can make it very precarious. I would love to hang out with you. I have never really been to Denver, except to drive thru on my way from the airport to Castle Rock, where I spent 2 weeks working. Didn't get to sight see, but what I saw was GORGEOUS!
Yes Zona it's ok to throw your papers in a plastic bag or shoebox as long as the reciepts don't have undescribable stains on them or stuck together with half chewed candies. Oh and please don't throw any cigarette butts or condoms in the bag or box...we don't like that very much.
I'm not watching the Oscars. I just finished watching Amazing Race and the Canadian Women's Curling champianship (The Scott Tournament Of Hearts). I have one tax return to enter in my computer and then I'm going to bed.
I am loving the Academy Awards Show so far although I have already been surprised by one of the awards. I saw most of the nominated movies and I have my picks for the top awards.
Yes that was the surprise and I was disappointed also. I agree about Scarlett's hair. It usually looks much better. Maybe it was windy when she got out of the car.
Aw Mo, don't be skerd, it will be gone soon.... We have a huge white pine tree that seems to be a favorite of lightening bolts! It's also the place Mr Mary takes the puppy to do it's business!
I only watched the last 1 1/2 of the Awards show.I was channel flicking and missed the supporting actor/actress parts. I am am sure there will be all kinds of follow shows.
Loved the Oscar show. I thought it was very entertaining. I didn't care for Cate's dress, either. That circle effect on her abdomen was not flattering. I liked it, otherwise. I wasn't at a formal Oscar party, just a few friends eating lots of food and drinking champagne or Bailey's and laughing a lot. The hostess had printed out all the award nominees and before the show started we each filled out our ballots as to who we thought should win. I only saw one of the movies, Inception, yet I picked the most winners - 18 or 24! I wish I would have been that lucky when I was gambling at the casinos a couple of weeks ago. Oh, and I did pick Christian Bale to win best supporting actor, too.
Nice song Tina! I liked it...never heard it before, but I liked it! Good choice!
ReplyDeleteI've had a peanut butter and banana sandwich, done 2 tax returns and am now going back to bed. Nighty night Owls! Please keep the noise down to a dull roar!
ReplyDeleteGood morning...
ReplyDeletewent out with Moammar last night...but he couldn't perform...he was a little nervous...
so we crank called Scott Walker all night....made him cry....lol
SHIRLEY...good morning! And good night! You look stunning and being so busy! Have a nice nap.
ReplyDeleteDEE DEE...LOL!!!
ah yeah...forgot to mention...I am wearing a bullet proof brassiere...in case any of you are wondering about the height of my boob-a-linas...
ReplyDeleteMoammar promises me we are going to have some fun....he said if I'll dress up like Sudan tonight that he'll invade me!!!
Morning Glories!
ReplyDeleteI just yelled I can't stand Billy Ray Cyrus and realized it was Keith Urban. Oopsies. They must see the same hair dresser.

ReplyDeleteLYNN...LOL@teadious!
Howdy, HOoters!
ReplyDeleteShirley You are ravishing today. That beauty sleep is really working for you.
DeeDee Love your outfit. It's perfect! Just enough gold braid without outdoing Moammar.
ReplyDeleteMO Are you napping with Cary? Yum!
ReplyDeleteLynnD Sounds like yesterday was a success. Loved your sign. And LOL @ teadious!
ReplyDeleteHello Shirley, Dee Dee, 'weenie, J/L, and Lynn D!

ReplyDeleteI'm back!!!
ReplyDeleteSHIRLEY - I hope you've had a peaceful day!!
DEE DEE - Keep those calls coming!!
LYNN - Thank you!!! I love your poster ♥
Waving a wing at MO and SLIN!!
WHABBY - Waving a wing at you, too!! I'm planning on at least watching the start of the Oscar's....but with having to be at work at 4am....I'm sure that I'll zonk out long before they are done.
ReplyDeleteJodi: That's the problem with not living on the West Coast. Here, they start at 5 PM! Yay!
ReplyDeleteIt has been a long time since I've been here. I felt soooooo out of touch with all of you. ReplyDeleteFROM AREA 51:
ReplyDeleteLYNN - Great choice...although I must agree with ANGEL!!
DEE DEE - I have been glued to the tv during all of this. I must admit that Rachel is my new crush ♥

HI MARY!! The commercial vid plays everytime I get to the blog..it's making me crazy..crazier.. ;D
ReplyDeleteZONA...I forgot about Numb3rs. He plays such a great nerd in all his roles! Oh, the cranberry juice seems to be working already!
ReplyDeleteMARY...I've been sick of winter for about 2 months already!!! I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe, that Spring will actually be sprung in my lifetime!
I am loving the Oscars so far. What does everyone else that is watching think?
Yes Zona it's ok to throw your papers in a plastic bag or shoebox as long as the reciepts don't have undescribable stains on them or stuck together with half chewed candies. Oh and please don't throw any cigarette butts or condoms in the bag or box...we don't like that very much.

ReplyDeleteSHIRLEY...good morning!
ReplyDeleteJavier Bardem is one hell of a handsome man!
ReplyDeleteZona!!!!! Good luck sorting through your receipts! No funky surprises for your tax man!
ReplyDeleteShirley, sounds like you may have had a few surprises in your client's receipts boxes lol!!
Happy Sunday Owls.
ReplyDeleteTina, I love Keith and all of his songs. Thanks for this one today.
Shirley, You look lovely today. I hope you get overtime pay for working on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI am loving the Academy Awards Show so far although I have already been surprised by one of the awards. I saw most of the nominated movies and I have my picks for the top awards.
ReplyDeleteDeeDee, sorry about your disappointing date last night.
ReplyDeleteLynn, Love your sign and the 'teadious' comment.
ReplyDeleteJ/L & Bear, hope you're having fun at your Oscar parties. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteJodi, Yayyyyyy, you're baaaackkkkk!
ReplyDeleteDianne, You should give an Oscar Party next year. Maybe it would be safer for you in your own home.
ReplyDeleteMary, Why not read the puzzle section first then you won't have to wait for it.
ReplyDeleteSACBARB...happy Sunday to you!
ReplyDeleteDid your surprise come in the best supporting actor category? I was disappointed there.
Has Scarlett Johansen forgetten to buy a comb? Her hair looks nasty!
Zona, I hope you get a big tax refund.
ReplyDeleteYes that was the surprise and I was disappointed also. I agree about Scarlett's hair. It usually looks much better. Maybe it was windy when she got out of the car.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm not crazy about Kate Blanchet's dress.
ReplyDeleteDidn't Dame Helen Mirren look stunning? Regal.
ReplyDeleteI thought Reese Witherspoon looked simply lovely, too.
SACBARB...Nor am I.
ReplyDeleteWhat was Mila Kunis wearing? LOL!
Mo, Helen and Reese always look stunning. Reese and Sandra both had their hair in pony tails, which was surprising to me.
ReplyDeleteIs Mila Kunis the one who dropped the F bomb?
Mila Kunis had on the lavender dress with some wierd lacey things on her boobies. She was a presenter.
ReplyDeleteThe f-bomb was dropped by the best supporting actress. Melissa Rio or something like that.
Kate Blanchetts dress is drop dead gorgeous....
ReplyDeleteMo,Oh I didn't like Mila's dress either.
ReplyDeleteI am happy about the best actor, actress and picture.
DeeDee, I loved Kate's dress too.
Usually Helena Bonham (sp?) Carter dresses in strange attire, but I liked her dress tonight.
And I think James Franco is just too cute. He has 3 or 4 Masters Degrees.
ReplyDeleteI was thrilled about the best actor and best picture. I think GR was robbed.
ReplyDeleteI thought Anne Hathaway did an awesome job.
I just didn't like the circle effect of Kate's dress
I hated to see Geoffrey not win...to me he looked disappointed....of course thats probably just me...because I THINK HE DESERVED IT!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good show this year....loved Kirk Douglas...."you know"....lol
DEE DEE...I thought he deserved it, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you know, I enjoyed Kirk, too!
Oh my, it is thundering like crazy.
I'm skerd!
And lightening, too. I'm double skerd.
ReplyDeletePS...watch Jimmy Kimmel!
Aw Mo, don't be skerd, it will be gone soon....
ReplyDeleteWe have a huge white pine tree that seems to be a favorite of lightening bolts! It's also the place Mr Mary takes the puppy to do it's business!

ReplyDeleteHOdi I am surprised and delighted to see you posting again. : )
ReplyDeleteZONA!! I say....just bag it!!
ReplyDeleteBARB - Waving back at you!!
MARY - Loved your call!! I think you confused poor Jake, though ;)
Thanks SLIN!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't make it through the first half hour of the Oscars. Not surprised that Colin won!! I ♥ him!!
I'm planning on watching Oprah later today!! She'll have all the winners at the Kodak Theatre.....fun!!!
ReplyDeletewtc....here, we go ♥
ReplyDeletetedious, tedious, tedious!!!
ReplyDeletejust one more.....;)
ReplyDelete69.......ooooh, ahhhhhhhhhhh ♥
ReplyDeleteOff to work....c u all later!!
ReplyDeleteSurvived the thunder storm. I don't remember ever hearing such loud (and long) rumblings. It shook my house and woke me up numerous times.
ReplyDelete
