This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Can you all believe what has happened in Japan? So much film I guess should be expected...it gives us a view into this disaster like never before!
Of course I was right on the news in Sri Lanka in 2004 when Nate Berkus was there and lost Fernando....when so many people disappeared...but that wave surprised everyone...at least in Japan they knew it was coming...
DEEDLE DEE...good morning 2 u 2! I can't believe all the destruction in Japan. My heart breaks for them. I can't even imagine. I know how freaked out I was after the quakes in L.A...and those won't even close to the Jaan quake. And the the salami after it...oy.
I also learned at church today that Mr. Philip thought the "Hail Mary" prayer was called the "Whole Mary" it was a little bit of an embarassing moment in front of his Sunday School teacher, but funny too.
Okay, Tina I have been misspelling a lot of words, just for you. :) Kisses!
Yawn...morning, um afternoon, Lynn, Maureen (it is Maureen right?), DeeDee and Jennifer! I didn't have to go to the office today so I went back to bed. I do have some income taxes to do here at home but I'm going to do my laundry first. I think making sure my ass is covered with clean clothes is more important than someone's damn income tax.
SACBARB: Funny! What's even funnier..I bet every one of us could read it with no problem! I guess we learned another language without realizing it!! ;)
LYNN: Afternoon Gorgeous!
MO: Enjoy the sun today!! I worked hard getting that warm air to you.. ;D
JENNIFER: Awww..such a sweet comment about Phillip! LOL @ Whole Mary! :)
SHIRLEY: Randy's handwriting is the biggest problem..who knows if the message is correct if you can't read it!!
Good Message, SACBARB. My friends usually either call on the cell or my husband doesn't answer home phone much when he sees it is one of them so they can just leave a message and I prefer it that way. Now the next obstacle with him is to let me know there is a message if the phone isn't beeping because he checked other messages! Confusing.....kind of......
My oldest GD had to have blood drawn today for the first time and it was a little traumatic for her as they couldn't find a vein to begin with on her. She shed a few tears she said but then it was over.
JENNIFER: How thrilling to watch your son make his first confession. They are sure growing up. I am sure you are one proud mommy!
JODI: How are you feeling today? Hope you didn't drink too many of those beers!
I am off to pick up GD's and go to a one year old bday party. The out of town company are heading downtown to bars and music for "after the St Pat's parade" here. I think I must be getting old as it didn't sound too fun to me.
MO: I completely agree with you getting janice on the stick to get TINA on the stick!!! We need our daily lent reminders.
SHIRLEY: Did you finally get those people to decide on how to file their taxes? Get some well deserved rest today.
Hi LYNN.and DEEDEE .....hope all is going well today and things are calm and restful for you today.
Whoops.....ZONA....We were typing at the same time. Are you listening to Randy's speech 100 times today before he has to go and present it? Are you walking? Are you shredding? You aren't eating candy, chocolate (except ice cream) or rice crispy bars are you? I am saving your soul to heaven!
LynnD It's after 12 so I can't say good morning but I wish you a very good and sunny afternoon. You are looking lovely with the sun shining off of your hair.
MO Ooops, I guess it is you standing out there in the sunshine. You are looking very lovely, too. We have sunshine today so I hope Lynn does too up there north of me.
Dianne My message machine doesn't beep, it just has a red blinking light. Sometimes, I can go all day without noticing it. :(
Glad your GD got through the blood draw okay. It's always traumatic for kids. I bet as she looks back on it, it wasn't really as bad as she had feared, though.
This was the kind of message we used to get when my Father answered the phone. There were no answering machines way back then, and he wrote messages just like he spoke, with a very heavy Italian accent.
DIANNE..I'm such a dork...I never responded to you the other day. I think it was about The Bachelor. I think Emily is the best choice, but on the other hand, I think she may too good for him! Sorry your GD had a rough time with the blood draw.
ZONA...thanks for the sunshine. You really huffed and puffed hard! And you must have been rotating as you blew, since JL & SB got some of it, too!! BTW...chance of snow tomorrow :(
JENNIFER...congrats to Philip! LOL@ whole Mary!
SHIRLEY...glad you have a day off. I hope you had a chance to pamper yourself.
JUST LIN...did you get to get out and enjoy the sunshine? Thanks again for the update last night. I really don't know Northern Cali. I guess I could have googled!
SAC BARB...I bet your dad's messages were fun to read and try to interpret! My mom never wrote down messages. She would just report that...someone called for you! Then it was a guessing game as to who it was. Playing 20 questions!!!
Good night and sweet dreams Owls. Thanks for all your comments. I hope you all have an excellent Sunday. I have a card class after Church, so I will be back in the p.m.
Morning glories!
ReplyDeleteGood morning glory to you LYNN!
ReplyDeleteJANICE...good morning! Can you do me a favor and reach over and slap TINA upside her head and tell her to get her ass back here? Thank you!

ReplyDeleteVery funny SacBarb! I wonder what the woman's response was, probably just shook her head!
ReplyDeleteAny of you coupled people ever get s screwed up message like this? I don't think kids take very good messages either.

ReplyDeleteDeeDee It is very scary what is going on in Japan. And now, the problems with the nuclear plant. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteJennifer You never know who might walk into your life tomorrow. You may want to re-think what you're giving up.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Whole Mary!
Shirley You definitely deserve to take some personal time today. You've been working your butt off lately. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteZona Thanks for sending some of your sunshine my way, too. When do you start swimming again?

ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday Owls.

Lynn, You are glorious today.
ReplyDeleteMo, Good idea to get Janice's help with Tina.
Jennifer, Congrats to Philip. How nice that his First Communion will be on Mother's Day. What a nice Mother's Day gift.
Mo, Enjoy the sunshine while you can.
Shirley, Did you ever get that couple satisfied with how they wanted to file?
Zona, Thanks for the sunshine.
Dianne, Your GD is very young to have to have a blood test. I hope there is nothing wrong.
DeeDee, I was up all night on Thursday watching coverage of the earthquake/tsunami. It is amazing what devastation water can cause.
J/L, I think our sunshine is going to be short lived. More rain on the way.
Good evening feathered friends!
