  5. Bebbi, Sorry your son is going through a hard time. Maybe a canoe trip with his Mom is just what he needs.

  6. I'm waiting for Sharon to come and get me and take me to my physical therapy appointment. A pain in the neck has a whole new meaning for me. Even the Vicodin isn't helping much.

I hope you all have a good day and a safe holiday weekend. ♥

  8. Good Morning Goldie - Congrats on being first.

  9. Good Morning Bebbi - Have a great time canoeing with your son. Take care. We want all our owls safely back in the nest after the Memorial Day weekend.

  10. Good Morning SacBarb - Good Luck with your therapy this morning. I hope the pain in your neck disappears. How can you watch the fireworks if you can't look up? Americans have such great fireworks. I watch them on tv. Ours are so insignificant compared to yours. No-one wants to spend the money on a good display. The year I was in Cincinnati I couldn't believe how great they were.

  11. Tina - I loved that song too. I am going to buy it.

  12. Sacbarb & Tink: I am looking forward to it, he's such a mess right now. Hoping a canoe trip will help. We went on a bike ride last night.

Sacbarb: Good luck at therapy..sorry you are such a pain in the neck...he he..oh, I mean, sorry you have a pain in the neck ;)

  13. whoa....that was touching...singing to her Mother. If that WAS her Mother...

and did you notice the way her "Mother" was holding that hand in the air? I have seen that before. My older sister goes to a church where they do that....and sometimes their eyes roll back in their heads...

and the next thing you know they will jump a pew...start dancing around and speaking in "tongues"..

One Sunday when I was there with sister-woman this elderly black lady started screaming and wailing and all these church ladies gathered around her. Scared me half to death and I asked my sister..."WHATS WRONG WITH HER"...and my sister laughed and said..."oh..don't worry..shes fine..thats Ophelia...shes getting the holy ghost...gets it every Sunday"....

I was exploring churches at the time trying to find one I liked and my sister had gotten me invited to a lunch thing after church that Sunday with the preacher to discuss things....

Well rather than my spiritual needs they wanted to discuss my financial support of the church...you know...my ability to fund and my intentions...I think a contract was even to be involved had I stayed and hadn't called the pastor a "money grubbing whore" and left...

so! anytime I see anyone holding their hand or hands up like that my "BULLSHIT" alarm goes off and I skidaddle.....

  14. Morning Glories!

    Goldie you are glowing!

Sacbarb I hope the therapy works. Geez it seems like we all have had the worst crap lately when it comes to health.

Micheal I so agree. Holy Spirit my big behind. They are just hoping that Holy Spirit moves you to donate lots and lots of cash!!!

Waving at Bebbi and Tinka and anyone else who flies in later.

  15. Good Morning!

TINA: Very pretty song..love the line 'she's always got my back..'..so true..still feel it..even now.. :)

GOLDIE: Hellllo Gorgeous! Yay..your beautiful grandkids are visiting..how fun! :)

BEBBI: Hi Sunshine! I'm sorry to hear your son is going through rough times..hope things get better soon! :)

BARB: I hope you feel much better today after PT..I forgot to ask you yesterday..is the guy that's working on you cute? :D

TINKA: I love fireworks! Sadly we have to watch the shows on TV..it's just too hot to sit outside and watch them here..

    HI LYNN! HI MICHAEL!

    From 51:

JODI: It's going to be 101 here today..just slather on some sunscreen and jump in the tube..I'll aim it for the pool!! :D

  16. Zona! HI, have fun in the pool and thanks for the positive hope for my son. I know he'll be fine, it's just a lot of grief he is going through, with the end of the relationship. His first time going through a big thing like this.

Michael: Money grubbin..that is why I will never "BELONG" to a church again. I am my own church, I will go to one because it is nice and it is good for my Mother. I do Stephen Ministry program through them too, that is to go and help people that are going through a hard time because I believe we all need to help each other. And, it's 50 hours of training..woo.. almost done though. I went through 40 hours of training for the Center for Women and Families and this is a good refresher. I like helping people one on one. It makes me feel a little useful. :)

  18. Tina Sorry, but after reading the comments, I will not be watching the vid. My mom had bad news regarding that spot on her lung so I think I'm not up to listening to that song right now.

  19. Goldie You're a real beauty no matter where your boobs are. LOL

  21. Bebbi I'm sorry your son is going through a heartbreak. As we know, you have to go through it in order to get to the other side. Someday the right girl will come along. I hope you have a great day together on Monday.

  22. SacBarb What in the world did you do to your neck? I sure hope it starts getting back to normal soon.

  23. Tinka How are you feeling today? Are your back and legs doing any better? Do you think the pool therapy will be helpful?

  24. Michael Organized religion is a tricky thing, I think.

  25. Zona I remember those days that topped 100 when I lived in SoCal. I just can't take it any more in my old age. I just have to stay inside by the A/C.

  26. Tina: Thanks! Will do.

J/L: Yes, that is so true. Thank you for the thoughts! :)

  27. Hi J/L!!

    I have missed you!

and about Barbs neck....do you really have to ask....its Fleet Week!

just this morning I was swimming out to meet the fleet and I saw Barb doing the same thing with a pack of "Luckys" in her mouth....

  28. OMG.. Michael..LOL!! You are a hoot..

  29. J/LIN: I'm so sorry..your mom will be in my prayers.

  30. DI asked me to post for her..

"Hi..the blog is still giving me an error message..so I can't post from my phone. I can read..it just won't let me post. It's making me crazy!

TINA: I loved Lauren and Scotty..but Scotty was my favorite. They are both cute, nice kids and I hope we see both of them on country shows.

It was 98 here yesterday..and I'm pretty sure the humidity was the same. We whine in Denver when the humidity is 10 percent!

I miss talking to all of you!"

  31. J/L, I have a lot of arthritis in my neck and have been having muscle spasms. I can't move my head more than an inch or two in any direction. The therapist said it could have been triggered by all the coughing when I had pneumonia.

Michael, LOL - I only wish fleet week was the cause.

  32. J/L-2, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. She will be in my prayers.

  33. Just wanted to give a giggle Barb...hope it gets better...

and ditto on your Mother J/L...sometimes it would seem more fair if we could get all the bad stuff out of the way when our bodies are younger and stronger...and the years past 50 could be trouble free....

I thought about that a lot when my Mother was sick and I also thought a lot about that man in "THE GREEN MILE".....I guess that equates to hoping for a miracle....which we basically never get....

Wishing your Mother the best today and always.....

  34. Afternoon and Evening all,

J/L my heart goes out to you and your Mom. Positive thoughts for you both.

Barb what did I tell you about whipping your head around and whistling at the construction workers????

Bebbi I missed that about your son I read the comments, but Mr. Lynn D says my memory is shot to hell lately. Menopause or meds, not sure which. Tell him it is hard now but it will help him know when he does meet the right one.

Crazy weather here today hailing right now. I rode into Lacey the next big town to go to Costco this morning and on the way back I sat in traffic twice because of two really bad accidents. I am staying home!

  35. JUST LIN...Many prayers going out to your mom and you. {{hugs}}

  36. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers for my mom and for me. Please keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming.

I still can't comment using my BlackBerry and that is very annoying.

  37. I hope all are safe and secure in their homes tonight. No ducking tornados and no stepping on scorpions.

  38. SacBarb I can imagine that enough hard coughing could throw your neck all out of wack. I know I've given myself a sore back and ribs in exactly that way.
