  2. Good Morning Michael. Congrats on being first. "Boom" is a nice change from "Bam". Your avatar changed while I was looking at it. You must be in the nest or are my eyes deceiving me.

  3. Good Morning Iteach. When you are a teacher, aren't Saturday mornings wonderful? We used to stay in our pyjamas and watch cartoons. Do you do that? Of course in my day cartoons were only shown on Saturday mornings so it was something we all looked forward to.

  4. Jack had to go to Vancouver this morning so my "fur babies" and I are all alone. It use to be like this but I wouldn't wish it back for the world.

  5. Zona - Are you tired after your big day yesterday? Call me if you have nothing to do special to do today.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Tina - Are you sleeping in? I guess that is a silly question because if you are you can't answer me. Sometimes for some strange reason I think I am beginning to have "senior moments". I know I am too young for that. I loved your blog. It made me smile. It's hard to smile before breakfast.

  7. It appears I am here alone so I will go and make some breakfasts. Have a great Saturday all owls everywhere.

  9. Hey Owls!! It's nice to be missed! I love you all! **glares at Michael**

Loved the blog Tina! Someone had the nerve to come to my apartment the other day and ask if I would do their son's income taxes. Of course I did, cause I'm a nice person! **again glares at Michael**

    Good morning everyone!!

  16. hi all!!

omg!! I have never been so relieved to be glared at again!! The wait has been excruciating...

Shirley....in honor of your return I found a Tiffany &Co. created diamond and sapphire owl that retails for $49,000.00!!

It is high resolution to feel free to resize it to your liking...cut it out...slap a piece of scotch tape on the back of it and wear it proudly!! (if yall don't have scotch tape in NS...whale blubber oil will do)

And I would be careful where I wear it....I was wearing Harry Winston "cut-out" earrings at the Handi-Slap the other night when I lost one....and no one would help me look for it....and the next night I saw a young black male wearing one of them as he purchased those small cigars that the people put dope in??

Yeah! Its true! In the span of 20 minutes the 20 something crows comes in in droves buying these small flavored cigars!!

I axed my friend that woiks there whassup widdat and he said...they can put they weed in there! ...or day crack or day ICE!!!

Gosh I didn't mean to get off on a tangent!!

BTW... has anyone heard...omg Shirley...this post was just for you on;y...and look at me going on and on...sorry!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. as I was about to say...has anyone heard any good Bin Laden jokes?

If you do I would LOVE to hear them...lol

I have heard a couple of doozies...

a guy told me last night that Rush Limbaugh was talking about Obama and said he didn't think he could be trusted....he said...

"well hell! He just killed his cousin!!"

    ba haha....

you know those to really did look very similar....

    I detect a possible plot....

  18. Good Morning Maureen, Shirley, and Jodi.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Maureen - Have fun with your cousins.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Michael - I am jealous. You gave Shirley a diamond and sapphire owl ring and not one for me. Is mine in the mail? I know our Canadian mail is slow. I will keep waiting and watching the mail delivery.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Jodi - Take a picture of your haircut and please show it to us. Will it be much different from the style you had before the cut?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Michael - I don't have any Bin Laden jokes but I am watching the tapes they received when they invaded his hide-away. He died his beard black every time he was going to tape a video to show the U.S.A. Otherwise he is very grey. I think that is rather funny.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I don't have any jokes about Bin Laden either, but I can't help but think some poor fisherman might find him tangled up in his nets when he pulls them in. What a shocking catch that would be!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I read a comment supposedly written by an octopus that plenty angry that the U.S. had chunked his body into the ocean....lol

and a picture with a bunch of rioting rag-heads was captioned...

DEATH TO AMERICA! BUT NOT BEFORE AMERICAN IDOL ENDS! DEATH TO AMERICA!

The fishing nets would be funny...I have worried about the fish eating him and getting sick....

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh Tinka...

I am sure Shirley won't mind if everyone has an owl brooch....

    just follow the same instructions...

    ReplyDelete
  26. O.K. Michael I will get my ring. I must start working on it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Michael Congrats on your booming entrance this morning. You are looking mighty fine with your fancy owl pin. Are you sure that didn't come from the five and dime? Do five and dimes still exist? Oh, and Rush Limbaugh has his head so far up his ass that he speaks through his belly button.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Tinka LOL @ it's hard to smile before breakfast. For me, I find it hard to smile before I have my coffee.

    ReplyDelete
  29. iteach It sounds like you are on a roll today. Kudos on getting the ex to help the kids get a Mother's Day gift for you. You deserve that and so much more.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Maureen Have a fun day with the cousins.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Shirley Yay! So glad you're back! Doing happy dance.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Bringing back my "hugging" owl for a bit. Anybody need a hug, step right up.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I guess my tediousness scared everyone away. bbl

    ReplyDelete
  34. Good afternoon feathered friends!

Waving to all that flew in after me this morning.

Why do I let Joanne get to me? When I was leaving she wished me a happy Mother's Day...WTF? Does she not know my mother is dead? And do I have children and not know it? I think not.

    Grrrrrr.........

    ReplyDelete
  35. Good Afternoon - Up from my nap and ready for my lunch.

Just_Lin - You will never be tedious to me. I enjoy your comments.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hi Maureen - I don't know who Joanne is but I think she was very tactless in her comment about Mother's Day. Does she do this a lot?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Maureen I have to say that all the Mother's Day stuff is getting to me. I just wished it was over already. Sorry all you moms out there but for those of us who don't have moms it's kind of depressing. Sorry, but it's how I feel.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Going to check my farms and then making sure my doll room and teddy bear room are both ready for my littlest granddaughter. My oldest granddaughter has taken over changing the seasons in the doll house. It really isn't a child's toy as there are so many tiny little parts so she didn't play with it as a child. She always wanted to so now at 13 she is "keeper of the house".

    ReplyDelete
  39. Want to march with me Just_Lin?

    ReplyDelete
  40. SHIRLEY...yes it is. Going to the cemetery on Mother's and Father's Day isn't the most joyous way to spend time, is it?

TINKA...she is one of my cousins and she does things like that all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I don't even get to go to the cemetary. It's a 30 minute drive from here and I don't have a car. Not somewhere I would ask a friend to take me and no family members offer. Haven't been there since the funeral last July.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Sometimes depending on other people sucks!

I think I'll go take a shower and see if I can wash this mood away.

    Sorry everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Miguelito~ Congrats on first~ Glad ur being glared at~

    Iteach~ First Communion....how exciting~

Tinka~ I did sleep in, but not really that late~ My daughter took me to see a chick flick, Something Borrowed, for Mother's day....it was fun~

MoMo and Shirley~ Think about the happy Mom moments~ That's what I will do some day~

Jodi~ I'm picturing you with a "helmet" looking haircut...especially if ur going to Dick-skin to get it~ ijs~

    J/L~ thanks for the hug~

    ReplyDelete
  44. Tinka Sorry. I was out and about. Well, mostly I was at work toay, so I didn't see you marching. Congrats on getting 50.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Shirley Maybe on Mother's Day you could raise a glass and toast your mum. You don't have to be at the cemetary to honor and remember her. (((HUGS)))

    ReplyDelete
  46. MO Who knows? Maybe Joanne wishes a happy Mother's Day to everyone, including men. Some people are like that. (((HUGS))) to you, too.

    ReplyDelete
  47. OMG!! I just went to WalMart to get some Paula Deen Butter Cakes...and on my way I was stopped by the DPS!!!

I had passed him. He was well off the road with a bus...it appeared that they were finished and the bus pulled away after I passed...but when the DPS officer pulled out he hit the lights and raced up on me...I knew I wasn't speeding.....

I was in my "new" car that I have only had since September and I thought maybe he liked it and wanted a close up look....

Well that wasn't it...he came to the passenger side and I lowered the window...(and unlocked the door)...he was cute...

He said I had passed a "stationary emergency vehicle" and that you are supposed to get in the outside lane or slow to 20 mph.....

I told him that I always move over if I see people and that I know how dangerous it is for them when they stop a vehicle...

well he asked for a sexual favor in return for no ticket and I delivered!! I think I'm in love now!!

Just kidding...lol...he gave me a warning.....

    ReplyDelete
  48. Maureen- I would have been ticked off too.

    Shirley- How was the shower?

Tinka- I so wish I could be your granddaughter right now and helping her with your dolls and bears. :)

J/L Anything interesting happen at work today?

Michael may you have nice dreams tonight about a man in a uniform.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm off to Menards to buy some stuff to kill the weeds. My kids love going their, they call it the wood store.

    ReplyDelete
  50. J/L~ now that I think about it......when I work on mother's day or father's day, I wish everyone happy whatever......

    ReplyDelete
  58. MICHAEL...did you get the cakes? The last 10 times I was there, they didn't have them. Walgreens has a version and it sucks!!

JUST LIN...Joanne is just getting on my last nerve. She pissed me off last week and I had to get up and leave. I love her, but don't like her too much lately. I know that's bad to say.

TINA...memories are nice, but not as nice as the real thing.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Gonna eat massive amounts of potato chips now. I splurged and bought Ruffles instead of the store brand.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Maurren...

I love ruffles...I also picked up 6 bags of those...lol

They did have 14 butter cakes...so I bought them....

The manager over there told me that they may not be carrying them much longer....
    I said..."YOU CAN'T KEEP THEM!!!"

So I don't know what the deal is really....if I find them I buy what they have because they may not have them the next time....at either store....its ridiculous. I hate Walmart!!

    Is your back ok now?

    ReplyDelete
  61. I didn't misspell Maureen on purpose....just trying to move to fast I guess...

    ReplyDelete
  62. Hello all my owl friends: I see everyone seems to be busy today. It is hot here and our house is not cooling very well at all.

Tomorrow my husband wants us to empty all the freezer and give the food to my daughter and for us to start fresh. If you looked in my freezer or pantry, you would think I was a gourmet cook. I but food in case there is a war or a hurricane or snowstorm. There is a pretty good bet there at least won't be a hurricane. The grocery store is right across the street. I think he would like to buy some ice cream but there is never a place to put it in the freezer. I am going to "try" (won't be the first time) to do what he wants as I would like some room in there too..we shall see if I can overcome this obsession (my dad was the same way but then he lived in the depression)!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. Yea for getting the first boom of the day, MICHAEL. I did hear one Osama joke...it was "what was his last face book message? BRB someone's at the door".

ZONA: You must really be catching up on some sleep since yesterday. Did you go to the movie? I wish I had that swimming pool to jump into and it's only 86 here and I am already complaining;...remember, I love winter!

My dryer is calling so just wanted to say hi to everyone. I know how hard it is to miss your mom, SHIRLY AND MO. I so wish each day that I could call my mom up just to chat. Hugs to everyone and Happy Mothers Day to the moms.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Well, I failed at the potato chip pig out. I have had this bag for 3 days and still can't seem to finish it.

MICHAEL...My back acted up again and is still bothering me. I didn't even notice the mis-spelling of my name.

DIANNE...did you actually have clothes in the dryer or were you doing the TINA approach and drying the air, like she washes the water!

    ReplyDelete
  65. MO: Actually have clothes in the washer aNd dryer. I seem to always do my laundry at night...might be because I am up at night! :) Sorry your back is bothering you. I hope I didn't hug you tooooooo tight!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Just watching the hockey game. Nashville is winning 4 to 3 over our Vancouver Canucks with 2 minutes to go. These games are leading up to the Stanley cup. Hope our Canucks are in it.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Iteach - You can come and play with my granddaughters any time you like. I would love to have you visit.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Maureen - I just ate a "blizzard" so I guess we both have the munchies.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Dianne - You can send us some heat. Most Mother's Days we have had our picnics outside and the children run around in bathing suits. Tomorrow I think we will have the fire place on and hope it is warm enough on the sundeck to have dinner. I am excited about tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Michael - Did you get the officer's number? I hope you did.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Michael I've never had one of those butter cakes and think it would probably be dangerous to do so. Thankfully, there is no Walmart nearby.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Dianne I have clothes in the washer and dryer, too. Been there for hours. I will have to dewrinkle. This is a common occurance.

    ReplyDelete
  73. MO I'm trying to eat less salt. I'm still having the fluid retention problems, even worse than my normal.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Tinka I want to play with your doll house, too.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Morning...I can't believeI am up before the blog...THIS WAS NOT PLANNED!!!! I was hearing too many sounds in my sleep and it just plain woke me up. I think I may try and go back to sleep.

Again, Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there.
