~ Coming Home ~

by Tina~in_ut

I hate this show.  I've never watched it.  I tape Grey's Anatomy on Lifetime and see these commercials all the time.  Every freaking one of them has made me cry.  If I can't make it through a commercial, I'd never make it through a whole show.  So I just watch the commercials~

  7. Morning glories!

Dianne you are so pretty in first this morning!

Tina I can't watch this show either. It makes me way to emotional.

I was trying to think of a duck quote, but my brain won't cooperate so I guess I am ducking the question.

All I can think of is movie titles like, My Fair Duck and The Sound of Duck.

    Morning Bebbi and Mimi

  17. He was telling me I was did a mitsvah for helping at the Center for Women and families..lol. I got confused and tried to look it up and thought he said mensch..because that means a good "human being". So I told some other jewish comedians I hang around with and they said that mensch was usually used in reference to a man...LOL. I had no idea..I got it completely wrong. Now I feel like a fool...he he..awww well.

  18. But they must love it when you try to use a little Yiddish!

I have a couple of good ones for you but you really need to hear me pronounce them....call me when you get a chance and I'll give you a quick tutoring....

I love that ur seeing a Jewish guy...Jews are great and there is so much to learn about their faith....and just being Jewish!

I am intrigued by anything other than the way I was raised. BAPTIST! And I don't think I ever even met a Jew until I was an adult....

  20. Tina Thanks for the blog but I couldn't watch the vids. Another thing I can't watch are those darn SPCA ads on TV showing the sad faces of the neglected and abused animals while Sarah McLaughlin sings that mournful song about the arms of the angels. I can't get to the remote fast enough.

  21. Michael Congrats on 20.5. This must be what Tina is referring to when she calls you a half-wit. It means you are clever at getting halves. ; )

  25. lmbo~ You guys cracked me up today~ good to see you, Bebbi~ Here's a fatted banana for you~

    Di~ Congrats on prettiest~

My cousin is here and we went to the movies to see Larry Crowne...SO good~ Then we went for a drive up into the mountains.....still snow up there and SO pretty~

  26. Dianne and Lynn D: You made me laugh! In a ducky sort of way!

WB, Bebster! I wonder if he meant that you'll never want uncircumcised again?

    OK, a duck-inspired joke:

Why did Dr Jekyll cross the road? To get to the other Hyde!

  27. J/L~ that ASPCA ad is on....ugh....ur right...that's horrid...and my kid won't change the channel~ :(

    ReplyDelete
  28. TINA: I can't watch those shows..I will fall completely apart..I don't just weep..I sob and blubber..it's awful..I'm so freakin' sentimental it's ridiculous!!

DI: Helllllllo Gorgeous! I hope you're sound asleep right now! :)

J/LIN: I can't watch the lost/hungry/scared dog commercials either..Mr Z usually has the remote when they come on and I'll yell 'CHANGE IT! CHANGE IT!!'..before he even sees the screen..He changes the channel back when he thinks the ad should be over..and if it isn't over I'll yell 'CHANGE IT!! CHANGE IT!!' all over again. I don't know which one of us hate those things more..me for the sad puppy eyes or him for me yelling!! They work though..after seeing just a snippet of one..I always want to go adopt another dog..always..

Ok..I am so bleary eyed..I have got to go drink a Diet Coke..see everyone on the flip side!! :)

  29. Michael: So far he seems really nice. The only thing is he wants to move kind of quickly and I am not ready for that. We are going out tonight to a concert outside and dinner too. I like him. He's funny. He told me one word not to say in Yiddish last night..and I am going to have to ask him what that word is again.. :)

Yes, it's interesting. I have never dated anyone Jewish although my ex and I had friends that were.

We'll see how it goes. I am in no rush.

All: Thanks for the welcome backs! No search parties needed..he he. :)
