Crazy

by Michael

It's ironic and very sad to hear Ms. Cline say at the start of this video "I sure hope I have that much energy when I get to be 83".

She died at 30.

  2. yep...Patsy was the bomb...

she left a small sample of her talent behind in a short career....which has endured and prospered for almost 50 years...

  5. Good Morning Jodi, Michael and Lynn. Sending you good wishes from the Pacific North West. We are enjoying the peace and quiet of the lake and the woods. We are far away from the fireworks and parades of the B.C. Holiday. Tango and Tia love it here.

  7. Michael - Thanks for sharing a Patsy Cline song with us. I love her voice. Many have tried to mimic her but to no avail. She is one of a kind.

Thank you also for the trout song. It was very creative.

  8. Lynn - I love "Walkin' After Midnight". I also liked "Blue Bayou" and "Leavin' On My Mind". She was good friends with Loretta Lynn. I always remember the scene in "Coal Miner's Daughter" when Loretta turns on the radio and hears Patsy singing followed by the announcer saying, "That was the late Patsy Cline who died this morning in an airplane crash". So sad.

  10. Good Morning!

MICHAEL: I love Patsy Cline..I grew up listening to her music..and "Crazy" is probably my favorite of all her songs..in fact it's one of my very favorite songs period. I also really like "I Fall To Pieces"..I don't think there is a bad Patsy Cline song!

Ya know..Willie Nelson wrote some terrific songs..'Blue Eyes Crying In the Rain'..'Night Life'..but of all of them..I think he hit the ball out of the park with 'Crazy'..it's just about perfect.

JODI: Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!! Yes you are!! Enjoy breakfast and shopping with your boy! :)

LYNN: "Walking After Midnight" is a great song too!

Gotta run and get things done before it gets hotter and more humid.

    Have a great day everyone!!

Yep..eventho I said I was going to get ready..I'm avoiding going out there...

    ok..really have to move..I'm getting 'the look'..lol.. :D

  14. Hello again.....everyones loves "Crazy"...my favorite is "She got you"...if I had to pick....I love so many of her songs...

Tinka...ur welcome! But you didn't mention what I did wrong on my trout farm...how deep do you plant them?

  15. Tina knows that I am a "leg" amn...especially calves!! So she sent the pic that Is my avatar from Kauai!!

I asked her who the owners of these perfect specimens are.....they belong to Mr. Tina... :/

  16. Leg man! Leg man!

  17. Well I gave Tina her 5am wake upcall so they can make the boat this morning...

They are sailing the Na Pali coast on a catamaran this AM....all the way from Likacoochae Bay to KamonIwanalaya State Park!!

I took the liberty of having some fisherman chum the water so maybe they will have a shark sighting or two....then I remembered stopping and snorkeling is on the itinerary. And their is no cabin on the cat so tee tee breaks will be in the water....

At any rate it will be fabulously fun and beautiful....except for Tina maybe who thought an SPF 30 was a good sunblock....she is fried and will have to remain covered in a black shroud for the duration of the cruise...

I was watching the video of their suite and something caught my eye in the cocina. The kitchen is equipped with a $10,000 Sub Zero ref/fzr!!

That just blows my mind....because if someone doesn't know what it is...all its great capabilities are lost on them.

I asked Tina if she knew that she had a SZ in the kitchen...she paid no attention but Mark pointed it out to her and explained it in triplicate...lol..according to Tina...and she said she had been waiting for me to mention it!! lol

That hotel is so nice....makes me want to go...but not bad enough to actually do it....

I have developed this aversion to travel in the last 2 years and that is totally new for me...kinda scary...

I think it was that trip to England and the Czech Republic that did it....

And I think its the economy....I used to only think of ways to spend money...now I think of ways to save it....

I found myself pissed off in Walmart the other day that avocados had gone up 30 cents...lol. What scares me the most is that I am afraid I am becoming MY FATHER!!!

  18. Personally I think men's calves look weird. I'd rather see what they're packing a little higher up.

  20. Shirley! ...you make me blush...

flips open fan and covers face...

  21. well just heard back from Tina....said she was so pooped last night but good to go this morning....

    heres the good part!!

then she said... "and from what I just heard..Mark is good to go too!!!"

Well...you don't have to drop a house on me!! lol...

she had a nice hawaiian punch!

    Mazel tov!!

  22. well...regarding the calves...it is the whole package...but good calves can step to the front of the line...

I had a "friend" in college...from the waist down Greg looked like a god....from the waist up...a newborn bird...

It just didn't work...he could sense my partiality to his lower half...

    ReplyDelete
  23. LOL! Shirley, I concur! Unless the above the waist area looks like... I dunno... a newborn bird!

Michael: Love Patsy! I can't remember if I cried... when I...

    Oh. Whoops. Wrong tragedy!

  24. HOdi Congrats on being first and most beautiful today! Have fun shopping. Check about commandos first.....ijs

  25. Michael Thanks for the great song today. I'm not much for the country music but no one can deny a great voice and great talent. LeAnn Rimes (sp?) was compared to Patsy a lot when she first came on the music scene with "Blue". Anyway, yes, it was such a tragedy to loose Patsy at such a young age.

  26. Tinka Sounds so idyllic there at the farm. Do Tango and Tia get upset hearing fireworks? A lot of dogs do. There have been some really bad injuries caused by dogs trying to get away from the noise.

  27. Zona OMG! Tell me again why you moved there.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Shirley Leave it to you to get to the crux of the matter. LOL There are priorities, after all.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Bear Waving a wing at you. As I sit here on the overcast coast with a temp of about 65, I can't even imagine having Zona's morning temp. Love the mild weather of the Bay Area.

  30. LynnD I almost missed you, sandwiched in between Michael and HOdi. I hope you're having a nice relaxing weekend. As my husband used to say, "What's on the menu today". He meant that as "agenda". I'll be going in to the veterinary hospital and gathering charts of those clients who haven't paid their bills and then bringing them home to write letters to them. Ah, good times.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Michae I'm now imagining Tina wearing a burka on the catamaran. LOL!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Just a quick check in-

Michael - We plant them really deep.

Zona - Wish you were here too. Maybe next year.

Just_Lin - Actually my 'fur babies' don't mind the fireworks as long as they are close to me. My last dog was a Golden Retriever and she was terrified of thunder or fire works. She would hide in the bathtub.

We have my sister's grandchildren up here trying to fish with a rod and reel. Little do they know that they could just scoop them up with a net, but then that wouldn't be much fun.

Waving at all other owls having fun in the nest. Sorry if I am not connecting with each individually. I love you all. Tink

  33. and that concludes our broadcast....tune in tomorrow when J/L says "I don't believe a word of that!"...

  34. J/L: It was very comfortable south of Market today for the Dore Alley Street Fair. A young fellow from out of town was working on a remodel of Jim's kitchen this weekend, and of course, didn't know what Dore Alley was. So Jim told him it was a street fair with lots of arts and crafts! LOL!

  35. BTW, I do know the difference between lose and loose. That was a typo back at 2:24. Besides being a skeptic, I'm a bit anal retentive. (No comments, Michael!)
