Little Johnny!

by Zona

"Class, today's assignment is to spell and
use the word 'DOUGH' in a sentence."

"Jane, you go first..."…..Dough, D O U G H …..…….Italians make pizza with dough."
Very good, Jane... now let's hear from Mary
..."Dough, D O U G H ……my brother makes things with play dough."

"Yes, Johnny, do you have something constructive to add?" “My mom says my dad doesn't make enough dough, and he's bloody hopeless in bed, so she uses a dill dough!"

  1. It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor,
    Would you be mine?
    Could you be mine?

It's a neighborly day in this beautywood,
A neighborly day for a beauty,
    Would you be mine?
    Could you be mine?

I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
    Would you be mine?
    Could you be mine?
    Won't you be my neighbor?

    Won't you please,
    Won't you please,
Please won't you be my neighbor?

  6. Zona - Loved the joke. Are you thinking up funny stories to keep you from thinking about your high electric bills? I saw your status and am amazed by how much money it takes to keep you cool in the summer.

  7. Sorry I have been MIA lately. I have been so preoccupied by Tia. She has had a difficult time since her operation. She hated wearing the buster collar and ended up with red blisters on her neck. She had to wear it to keep her from biting the stitches. I finally solved the problem by having her wear a Halloween dragon costume. It is soft and comfortable and covers the stitches. She looks strange but feels good. Now I am getting some sleep again. Today we find out the status of the lump that was removed. Hopefully it will all soon be a memory.

  8. Yesterday we had a large summer family party here. It was lots of fun but I am too tired to go to water therapy today. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

  13. Electricity bills in this part of Texas are very high. I haven't seen one of mine in several years but I am pretty sure it runs around $1000 depending on what scam the utility company has going...

I keep my bedroom cold at night and well....I guess the house is pretty cold in the day also. I don't like to perspire....not that I ever have...But I am sure I wouldn't like it.

  18. Michael Are you feeling sickly today? If so, sorry, but please stay on the naughty mat. We don't want any accidents.

  19. Zona Fortunately, I love dill. ;) Thanks for the cute blog today.

If I was you, I'd rethink the option of averaging out your electric bill over a 12 month period. Shoot, I do it here and that's just because the gas bill goes up in the winter. I find it helpful to have a general idea of what my monthly bills are.

  20. Goldie It looks like you're keeping cool in that outfit. I take it you don't wear that to work.

  21. Tinka I'm so glad you found a good solution to the buster collar problem. How fortunate that Tia is used to getting dressed up. I hope she heals well and that the biopsy results are good.

  22. Tina Are you really going back to Hawaii next week? I'm getting really, really jealous. I'm going back down to SoCal next week but it sure isn't the same thing. My daughter is going to go with me for the first four days and then I will stay on another 5.

  23. Hi Guys!

Well Surprise Surprise Surprise..said in my best Gomer Pile impersonation..I forgot all about this joke! I'm glad ya'all liked it! :D

ITEACH: You're looking lovely today..and you do Mr Rogers proud with your song! :)

    LYNN: Oh My indeed!! LOL!!

MICHAEL: Our electric company tells us to conserve conserve conserve..and then they go to the Corporation Commission and tell them they have to raise rates because they aren't making enough money! I think we could easily have a bill of around $700..but we keep the a/c set pretty high. It's too bad we have to do that though..

GOLDIE: LOL! You mean like parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme? ;D

TINKA: I beginning to think there is no way to keep cool except swimming..too bad I can't do that all day!

I hope Tia is all right! Please let us know as soon as your find out.

    TINA: No I won't turn the a/c off..lol..

J/LIN: We really have considered averaging the bill out..but the last time they did that to show us what we could expect, it was almost $300 a month..we can't afford that all year round. Maybe I should call and have them do it again now that we have the smart meters..

I swam and swam this afternoon and now I'm starved..going to go make something to eat..bbiab..

  24. Could I have made any more typos..sheesh!! Sorry about that..I'm worn out from stroking in the pool all afternoon..that's my story and I'm stickin' to it... ;D

  26. Evening Owls! I have an Announcement to make, Attention Attention please!

I am sane again!!!!!! I had my last therapy appt. today. The therapist is very happy with my progress and I don't need to go any more unless I feel I need to.

Tinka so glad to hear Tia is doing better.

J/L I forgot to tell you that the term Christian in Chief was coined by Lawrence ODonnell. I stole it from him. :)

Dianne yesterday was kind of crappy but I survived. lol

    Waving at everyone.

  28. Dianne Hard to believe football is starting again so soon. Of course, the weather we have here is very fall-like in the summer. The other day I heard a DJ call this month "Foggest".
