You can blame my daughter for this!~ I was driving her home from school and one of Savage Garden's songs came on. She said she didn't like them and I couldn't believe it. I guess when they were little, I played this song over and over and over again. So......hell.....what's one more time~ I love the lyrics~ :D
I believe the sun should never set upon an argument
I believe we place our happiness in other people's hands
I believe that junk food tastes so good because it's bad for you
I believe your parents did the best job they knew how to do
I believe that beauty magazines promote low self esteem
I believe I'm loved when I'm completely by myself alone
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love 'til you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye
I believe you can't control or choose your sexuality
I believe that trust is more important than monogamy
I believe your most attractive features are your heart and soul
I believe that family is worth more than money or gold
I believe the struggle for financial freedom is unfair
I believe the only ones who disagree are millionaires
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love 'til you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye
I believe forgiveness is the key to your unhappiness
I believe that wedded bliss negates the need to be undressed
I believe that God does not endorse tv evangelists
I believe in love surviving death into eternity
I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can't appreciate real love 'til you've been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don't know what you've got until you say goodbye(Repeat 2)
Until you say goodbye
Oh no no no no no ( Repeats itself many times fading)
Good Moaning~

Good Morning Sweet Pink Tink! :)
ReplyDeletewhat a remarkable song!! And the words are so true!!
ReplyDeleteI have been a fan of Darren Hayes for a couple of years...
And I see a couple of lyrics that are questionable for me...
I believe that trust is more important than monogamy...I want both...
I believe that family is worth more than money or gold
I wouldn't give you a bucket of fish guts for what remains of my family....but of course I realize that not true for most people...
The rest of what he sings is true...
He married via a civil partnership... his boyfriend of two years, Richard Cullen... in June 2006 in London.
Darrens "it gets better" video is one of the best I have seen...
He and his partner do many good things to help "at risk" gay youth...
So...as far as my taste in music goes....I don't care how good an artist may be...if they are successful and not giving back and trying to make the world a better place...like Gaga and her private meeting with Obama in the next few days....I just don't really get interested....
SNL did a hilarious spoof of the presidential hopefuls debate...it was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteIf you missed it I am sure huffpo has it today....
My avatar today is a pic from the LSU Undies Run....many universities have them to raise awareness about different causes....
ReplyDeleteWith Tinas busy schedule yesterday running kids all over the city...she got caught in traffic because of the "Undie Run" in SLC....lol
The cause was just to tell Utahn's to not be so uptight...relaxxxxx....and officials in SLC were very open minded about the whole thing...
of course the men had to be shirtless so that left out the mormon men out...no running in their magic undies....although the women fir the dress code in their magic undies I didn't really see any of them running....
I hope they didn't feel left out...
I am sure that Tina would have participated (not so sure she didn't) had time permitted....
Good morning, Tina, Audrey, Zona, and Michael!
ReplyDeleteTina: I believe!
Michael: We watched that skit before we went to bed last night, and I was howling! Especially at Michelle Bachmann telling us how she met Marcus!!!!!
Good Morning Michael - I can always rely on you to give us the background information of any blog. I thought Zona was the Queen of Googling but now I think maybe you are.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Whabbear - I believe too.
ReplyDeleteZona - I am happy to see you are one of the old fashioned girls who buy CD's. I don't believe in downloading music without paying for it.
ReplyDeleteOff to spend the day with the grandkids. There is no better way to spend a Sunday. Have a great day everyone.
Miguelito Juan~ That's the same line that I don't agree with~
ReplyDeleteI believe that trust is more important than monogamy
and don't you have some family you do like?
Bear~ good for you~
Tinka~ It's so nice to see you here today~
Zona~ All Savage Garden's music is good~ Get it all~
Good afternoon!!
ReplyDeleteI will listen to this music in a bit, can't wait!!
This is for my friend Jodi, GO BEARS!!
Okay, I listened to the song. I learned a new one, thanks Tina! :)
ReplyDeleteTina You are looking ravishing this morning. Thanks for the blog. I haven't listened to it yet. I don't get the line about "forgiveness is the key to your unhappiness". Wouldn't that be the key to happiness? Also, too often we place our happiness in other people's hands but I believe our happiness is our own responsiblity, no one elses.
ReplyDeleteMichael Shoot! I wish I would have seen that skit. I totally forgot to watch SNL last night.
ReplyDeleteWaving at Zona, Tinka, Bear, and iteach! Hope everyone has a great day. It's about 65* here and fog is hanging over the coast. Perfect weather for our annual Pacifica Fog Fest.
ReplyDeleteJ/L....
ReplyDeleteI hope ur happy! Now Tina is constantly telling me to SHUSH!!:)
I posted the video for the SNL skit on FB and here is the link...its pretty funny...

ReplyDeleteEvening Tina, Zona, Tinka, Michael, Whabbear, Iteach and Just Lin!
Amazing Race is coming on!
Amazing Race is coming on!
Amazing Race is coming on!
Amazing Race is coming on!
Got to go! Bye!
do any of you like Pepperidge Farm "Baked Naturals" sesame sticks?
ReplyDeletebecause they may contain small thin pieces of wire...
the boxes have a "20% more" banner..(now we know what 20% more means)
I have a box of these. Correct dates and all. I cannot find a single wire in them. I even put them in a towel and pulverized them with a hammer.
So I think they owe me a a box of pretzels for putting out that recall and making me smash my pretzels!
I have been down this road before. Once I had this charcoal that was treated with a combustible that they recalled because there was a danger of it blowing up in your face...
Well I had my housekeeper light it batch by batch and none of it blew up in her face!
I should have just left my pretzels in the box and my charcoal in the bag and returned them as per the recall.....
I shant make this mistake next time no matter how fun the possibilities...
Michael Sorry you wasted your pretzels. Cook probably could have used them as dried bread crumbs.
