This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Good Morning Barb - How lucky to have seen Neil in concert. I have seen him perform in concert on TV and loved it but it would be nothing like a live concert.
Goldie - Oh how sad. Is this a baby of a friend of yours? I don't think there would be anything sadder than the funeral of a chld. I hope I never have to attend one.
I am having a friend take me to renew my prescriptions today to save Jack from coming home early. I am going to take my walker and I know now why my mother never wanted to do that. People look at you with such pity. (I know because I take it to Water Therapy). I would almost get annoyed with her when she would refuse to take it and would rather risk falling down. Now I understand. I will be able to take my scooter when we get a proper trailer for it. That I don't mind at all.
Happy Birthday Dearest Jennifer. I should have written this comment first. I did, however, write it on Facebook before I came to the nest. I hope you have a wonderful day. You deserve the best. Thanks for being the reason why we had Neil Diamond as our blog for the past three days. I love him too.
Tina - I was considering not taking it but after you yelled at me I have to say "I WILL OKAY". I know you have my interest at heart. Thank you for your concern.
Michael Congrats on being the best looking and coming in first today. Now why did you have to use a pic of ND that makes it appear he is sucking on a lemon?
Tinka Well, Tina already yelled at you so I will just add my 2 cents......use the walker. You are a beautiful lady and the walker doesn't take that away from you.
I have a friend that uses a walker and she does it with applomb!!
Its all in the attitude! One word...ACCESSORIZE!!
I put a "WIDE LOAD" sign on Annas walker once....
point is...she can handle being in public with me and is never phased by anything I pull...so she can handle a walker...
Something tells me you can too...
The attitude is...you must look at people like they are missing out...for heavens sake!
And please don't call it "A" walker...just call it by what it is....
Walker ... Walker Taylor is fine in more formal situations...
I have always called people and things what they are...
Driver...cook....tucker...wrapper...etc..
I started Anna calling hers Walker by simply asking if Walker would be accompanying us that day...she asked "whos walker"...then she caught on...its more fun than referring to it as 'a walker' which the Urban Dictionary defines this way...
the last drink you take "to go" on your way from a tailgate to the event. The walker is frequently a red party cup.
Dude, the game is about to start. Pour me a walker.
Just a quick fly by. I wanted to wish Jennifer a Happy Birthday! Goldie, how sad.{{hugs}} I will be thinking of you and all that loved the precious child.
Tinka, When I see peeps using walkers I only think 2 things 1. Thank God for walkers 2. I tell myself it could or will be me some day. Walk with pride sweet Lady!!
I really have to get moving again... Have a great day all!
Hi Glories I am at SacBarbs. I am actually using a keyboard computer. Not a laptop. Barb says oh well too bad. I really think she is being sarcastic.
We are making plans for tomorrow and getting ready to make a drink. Have the bail money ready~
J/L can't wait to see you!
Goldie I am so sorry that is horrible!
Eva had her follow up yesterday with the physical therapist and more 3 hours for the appt. They are so amazed at her progress and say she is where she should be for her age. Really good news!
Thanks for the hugs and prayers. Yes, she is the granddaughter of some friends (and clients) and her parents are too.
Apparently, as announced on the news tonight there has been an e-coli breakout in the county (just south of us) and 8 people have been sickened, of those 2 have renal problems and Catelyn died. They are investigating the source, but do not know yet. They said from mid-August until early Sept.
Well, Catelyn got sick this past Sunday, as the day went on she got worse so they took her to the UW Childrens Hospital here in Madison. About 30 minutes from where they live. Around 10-11pm they took her into surgery (internal bleeding) and she did not come out.
Huge shock and sorrow. She is the cutest little bug ever. Tomorrow is going to be hell. I imagine that EVERYONE is going to be a basket case. I have never had to go to a childs funeral and honestly I do not know how I am going to get thru it. I guess we just have to collectively try to keep it together for the sake of Nic and Tracy (Mom&DAD) and Betty and Dave. I pray to whoever I need to that those people have some type of tranquilizers.
oy....
ReplyDeletewhat a surprise!! Neil Diamond singing today!
I'm trembling...
Good Morning Michael.
ReplyDeleteTina, I love this song. I love Neil Diamond. I have seen him in concert three times and they were all great performances.
I'm getting ready to get Lynn at the airport. Maybe we'll both be back later.
Have a great day Owls.
Good Morning Hooters!
ReplyDeleteYeah, Neil Diamond is singing again today!! Although I find it a little weird that he claims to have used Caroline Kennedy as the muse to this song.
Have a great time Barb! Wish I was there!!!
Instead of having fun with you guys I am going to the funeral of a 21 month old tomorrow. Life sucks sometimes.
Goldie....

Thank you everyone for the amazing birthday wishes and the great songs!!!
ReplyDeleteMy dad is convinced that Carolyn Rose (my daughter) came from a mixture of Neil's songs and I think he is right. :)
