This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
I know thats a long post but its interesting to see when songs you liked were popular isn't it...
Whaa? ...yes it is!!
Makes the blog looked longer too! And while some would prefer it thicker but that ain't gonna happen. Realizing that the important thing is quality over quantity I think I have covered both....
Good Morning Tina - Isn't George beautiful? I agree with your husband. I did spend more money on my own children. That was a hyperbole. I did however spend a few hundred dollars each September getting ready for the new year and I spent at least that over the course of the year. It was worth it. I liked a well decorated room. It was always more inviting.
Good Morning Michael - You brought back such happy memories with your list of 70's songs. Thank you for that. I don't remember there being so many that I loved listening to on my car radio on the way to school and even better on the way home.
Good Morning Zona-My-Baby. It's a beautiful day here. The sun is warm but definitely a Fall feeling in the air. The mountains all around us are sparkling with the sun shining on the snow. The leaves are turning red and yellow. You must visit in September or October. I think that is the best month of the year for showing off our fair city.
Zona, Dianne and Just_Lin - Thank you for your well wishes for Jack. It was scary but he is feeling much better now. I pray he stays that way. He is the Rock in this family.
We are having a quiet day. We will take the dogs for a walk in the sunshine ( I will be on my scooter) and I will make an apple pie from our trees in the backyard. Other than that we will just enjoy being alive and happy. Wishing everyone a lovely Sunday. See you tomorrow.
Hi. You prolly already know that GWB will be descending on B.C. on Friday...here is a brief synopsis:
Vancouver , B.C. -- An upcoming planned speaking engagement in Canada by former President George W. Bush is again generating a wave of protest. Bush is reportedly scheduled to speak on October 20th at a gathering in Surrey , British Columbia hosted by Surrey Mayor Diane Watts. But Lawyers Against the War (LAW) says the Canadian government must either bar Bush at the border because of his alleged involvement in torture and other war crimes and crimes against humanity, or order his arrest when he enters Canada both to ensure he is prosecuted here or elsewhere, and to prevent him from returning to safe haven from prosecution in the United States.

you know that since Obama put the kabash on prosecuting him the chances of justice are slim.
This is where you come in!
Go to Surrey and if the Canadian cops don't grab him then you can make a citizens arrest!
Try to dress in black...something chic you know...take your own handcuffs...just act like you are going to shake his hand and slap on the cuffs!! One on your wrist and one on his....
This of course will catapult you to INTERNATIONAL MEDIA STAR in a matter of hours...there will be movie and book deals coming at you...interview requests...all of which I will handle as your agent and publicist(30%)...tyvm!
We'll...ah...I mean..you will be richer and even more famous than ever....I'll handle all the busy work and all you'll have to do is the "Queen Wave"..mostly....
oh! ...and GWB will serve as an example to all the other corrupt republicans...that if you do the crime...YOU DO THE TIME!!
First of all Maureen, my beautiful friend. I just checked and I did not wish you Happy Birthday first thing this morning. That was my plan. Then when I skimmed down to see who was in the nest I started to post to them. Please forgive me and chalk it up to my short term memory loss. Have a wonderful birthday. I love you lots. Tink.
Now to Michael - Being a non-confrontational Canadian I cannot comment on your well written essay. As I no longer travel I can't even consider your plans for me. I will only say that we Canadians were very hurt when Bush thanked every country but Canada after 911. When the planes were ordered to stop flying hundreds of them landed in Canada. Some small communities on the East Coast took all those passengers into their homes and treated them like family for about 4 days. I think that deserved a thank you don't you?
Well I think this would be an even more opportune time to tell GWB how Canadians feel about that...
nothing says it better than 3 hots and a cot!
Could Jack go?
Seriously though...I think everyone remembers all those Jumbo Jets lining Canada's runways and the amazing efforts that Canadians made to help those people...
I didn't know that support had gone unnoticed by GWB but it doesn't surprise me....he's a huge jerk...
Obviously he wouldn't be traveling to B.C. if there were any chance of an arrest although the law is very clear on the matter. If he is not arrested it just means that Canada has been pressured by our present administration to look the other way as with Spain and other countries...
My computer died today. : ( I did a little farming on my son's laptop. It's difficult for me as I'm used to using a mouse. I at least have this Android. I guess I have to shop for a computer. What a pain in the ass.

Good Morning Tina - Isn't George beautiful?
ReplyDeleteI agree with your husband. I did spend more money on my own children. That was a hyperbole.
I did however spend a few hundred dollars each September getting ready for the new year and I spent at least that over the course of the year. It was worth it. I liked a well decorated room. It was always more inviting.
Tina - I loved that song. The Barry Manilow version was more my taste however.
