  3. I kind of did something like that one year when I worked in the bakery, only it was with a cake for a co-worker's birthday. Whenever it was someone's birthday the bakery always made them a cake, but this time I just used an upside down cake pan and decorated it. It was very funny when they tried to cut into it!

  4. Happy Thursday Owls.

Michael, That last kid was a riot. It's kind of mean to do that to kids, but it was funny. Unfortunately, it put the kids in a really bad light. The half eaten sandwich and the onion were genius. I think this is what is called a teachable moment! It gives new meaning to "it's the thought that counts."

  5. Shirley, You are quite the trickster. Was there a real cake after the joke?

  6. Michael Congrats on being first and the most presidentially hopeful today.

The vid was a riot! I must say, though, my kids never, ever would have made a remark like the last kid.

  7. Shirley It must have been funny to see the look on the birthday honoree when they tried to cut the cake. That was a good joke to play.

  8. SacBarb I missed seeing you in the nest recently. Have you been out shopping and otherwise getting ready for the holiday. My house is decorated but still no tree. I have two gifts purchased but not wrapped. I made fudge yesterday and have to bake cookies today. I've started addressing cards but am only in the H's now. I'm tired thinking about it. Maybe I should just go back to bed.

  9. Yes SacBarb she did get a real cake, but was reluctant to cut into!

Afternoon Just Lin! Yes it was rather funny!

  10. Why did the reindeer wear sunglasses to the Christmas party?
Because he didn't want to be recognized!

Mary said to Santa, "what's that out-side?"
Santa replied "it's Reindeer (Rain Dear)"

Which reindeer have the shortest legs ?
    The smallest ones !

What do reindeer hang on their Christmas trees?
    "Horn"-aments!

What do the reindeer sing to Father Christmas on his birthday?
    Freeze a jolly good fellow!

What do the female reindeer do when Santa takes the male reindeer out on Christmas Eve?
They go into town, and blow a few bucks.

Who hides in the bakery at Christmas?
    A mince spy!

    What goes “oh, oh, oh”?
    Santa walking backwards!

What goes ho-ho whoosh, ho-ho whoosh?
Santa caught in a revolving door!

  11. hi yall all Christmasites!

sounds like someone has developed a little holiday spirit....lol

    "blow a few bucks?"

I guess that last remark was kind of a "today" thing....we would have been dead if we had said something like that.....but it was funny...

I loved the boy that got the Hello Kitty t-shirt...he was hilarious...

  13. Shirley, "They go into town, and blow a few bucks." Bwhahahahahah.

J/L I have been busy making cards (got then in the mail today) and working at Christmas Promise but not shopping. Did all that on-line before Thanksgiving. Got some of the gifts mailed and still have some to mail tomorrow. I hope they get there on time, but if not...oh well!

I'm trying to get the house cleaned (getting all my craft crap put away) cause my youngest son and DIL are coming up from San Diego tomorrow. They are going to a Raiders game on Sunday. We are going to celebrate my oldest son's birthday (it was yesterday) on Saturday with a homemade beef strogonoff dinner. It is his fave meal.

It is a very busy time. Gotta go. Have a good rest of your day everyone.

  14. Hello everyone. Michael, that video was so darn funny I loved the little girl that likes her moms cooking---hot pockets and was. It to thrilled with the half eaten sandwich. She was still trying to be somewhat nice to her mom. They were all very funny.

JL, glad u r getting some things done for Christmas. It was a huge relief for me to get my cards out so early this year and I have finally started some wrapping. The girls r coming over Monday to help but had to get theirs done.

Nice to see u Barb. How is ur foot doing? We have a hard football game this week. How about u? We r having fun watching Tebow this year

I like ur jokes Shirley. Some r a little naughty.

Ok. Have to run. Going to see Westside Story show tonight.

  20. Been baking all afternoon making the cookies using this new coookie press. Trying to replicate what Mom did but I am very disappointed. This press makes the cookies smaller and I needed to bake them less time than wht the recipe called for, resulting in the first couple of batches being over-cooked. It just isn't the same. Maybe next year I'll have Mom's old cookie press here.

  21. And after dinner, I need to bake the peanut butter ones with the kisses in the middle. I want to get a package of fudge and cookies off to my brother tomorrow. I'm tired. Wish I would have done all this sooner.

  22. SacBarb It sounds like it is a very busy but fun time for you. You are so much more organized than I am. There was a time when I would get things done well ahead of time but I've become quite a procrastinator.

  23. MO Are you causing a disturbance with your muffled laughter? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  24. JUST LIN...there was no muffling involved in my laughter! I'm still laughing when I think about it!

    Love those peanut butter cookies!
