This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Thank you all for the comments on yeterdays blog. I just thought that woman was so amazing and really pointed out what was wrong.
Michael I quit giving to Komen during the last election when I found out how little they spend on research and how much they pay people on their board.
Spent part of the day on the beach yesterday and the wind chill was so cold my nips felt they broke off in my bra. lol
TINA: I swear I've got to listen to the radio more..I've never heard this song before. I really like it tho..I like his bluesy voice..and his hat! I googled him to see if maybe he'd been on American Idol..and I do remember the story about him getting beaten up..I don't feel quite so out of touch now cuz at least I'd heard of him..lol..
Good Morning Michael - I love the way you surprise us each day with a new avatar. My little brown owl refuses to share the spotlight with any other avatar so I am stuck with it. What are you doing today? I wish I hadn't watched the funeral yesterday. It put me in a melancholy mood all day. I think watching the casket for 3 hours reminded me of sadder days.
Good Morning Lynn - After they published how much money actually goes to each charity I have been reluctant to donate to any of them. It said the best one was Salvation Army as far as percentages go. That was never one of the charities that I ever donated to before but I am considering it.
We are having a second Valentine's Day today. My son and grandchildren are coming this afternoon. We have two of the cutest talking animals for them. That should be fun. Then we are going to my daughter's house for a Valentine dinner. I like holidays that continue for a week. See you all tonight.
Doctors Without Borders is the best when giving for disaster relief....and I think Memorial Sloan-Kettering and the Mayo Clinic have great programs which can be tailored to your wishes for your support and research dollars...
I just feel like I wasted my time watching that funeral on one hand and on the other you couldn't have kept me away...
I watched and waited for the procession of cars to arrive at the cemetery today. Its kinda like the thing I have about standing when a woman enters...opening doors, etc...I guess I feel that I owe Whitney and her Mother that respect..
Michael - I didn't see the procession today. I was so busy with company. I would have watched it if I had been alone. I found the funeral put me in a sad mood for the rest of the day. I did enjoy some of the tributes.
We just got home so I must give Tango and Tia some attention. I don't like to leave them this long. See you all tomorrow.
Tina Thank you for the song today. I hadn't heard it before. Like Tinka, I found it grew on me. You look mahhhvelous in first, by the way. You clean up real good. :)
Good Moaning~
