I rented this the other night.....the hubby grumbled because it was "a total chick flick!" I cried, of course. Every July 15th, they catch up with this couple and show what has been happening in their lives in the past year. It's cute, fun, quirky~ Glad I didn't see it in the theater, but it's nice as a rental. It dawned on me later, July 15th was my aunt's birthday~ ....that was a sweet bonus~
Good Morning Owls - Coming to you from the deep woods of the Pacific North West. It is still dark but the sun is beginning to show on the horizon. "Wake up, wake up Friend Owls" (My favourite quote from Bambi, only I added the "s").
ReplyDeleteTina, this is my kind of movie. I will buy it when I see it. I love Anne Hathaway. She is in one of the six DVD's the Valentine cupid gave me yesterday. I watched it, "Bride Wars", last night. I also received a new case for my camera and a velvet heart shape box of chocolates. Fun Times.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun day Owls. I will be back on the blog tomorrow.
ReplyDeletegosh Tinka...you racked up! I got an anonymous email with a picture of a disgusting pimply scrotum mashed into a heart shape...

ReplyDeletePa. Smokehouse Fire 'Best-Smelling in Long Time'
Updated: Wednesday, 15 Feb 2012, 9:21 AM MST
NEW CASTLE, Pa. (AP) - Firefighters in Pennsylvania have managed to save 200 pounds of Polish sausage from what they're calling the best-smelling fire they've doused in years.
Tinka It sounds like you had a lovely Valentine's Day. Jack must have had to pack an extra bag just for your gifts. I'm very tempted to say something now about Jack enjoying your famous buns. lol
ReplyDeleteTina The plot sounds a lot like "Same Time Next Year" with Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn. One of my favorites. I saw it as a play in San Francisco, also, many, many, moons ago.
ReplyDeleteMichael Who could resist a valentine like that? Someone knows the way to your heart. LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Guys!
ReplyDeleteTINA: I remember seeing this trailer and thinking it looked like a good movie..I'll have to watch for it on cable.
I loved that line.. "Whatever happens tomorrow..we had today..I'll always remember it.."
TINKA: Hello Beautiful! Yay for the Valentine cupid!! :)
J/LIN: I love 'Same Time Next Year' too! ♫If I knew you were coming..I'd have baked a cake..♫ Such a good movie!
MICHAEL: Glad they could save the sausage!
Zona Waving a wing at you. Do you like corned beef and cabbage? I've got the corned beef simmering on the stove and it smells so good.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm it smells like a weenie roast in here. Waving at everyone!
ReplyDeleteJ/LIN: I've only had corned beef once..my grandmother..who was usually an excellent cook..did a number on it and it was stringy and icky.. I'd be willing to give it another chance though..and I love cabbage! Maybe if the onshore flow is strong enough I'll be able to smell it all the way over here! :D
ReplyDeleteHI LYNN!
Weenie roast? Noooooooooo!!!
ReplyDeleteZONA...only once for corned beef? Get yee to a Jewish deli NOW!!Or an Irish pub!! The key is slicing the beef against the grain for tender slices.
TINA...that movie looks amazing. I so plan on getting it at the library. Maybe next week.
Thank you my friends for your posts on FB.
ReplyDeleteElaine's (my cousin that had the heart surgery in June)husband is in ICU and is in the very last stages of COPD. They wanted to intubate him last night but his DNR won't allow for that. He is being sedated and he is being restrained as he has already pulled out an IV once. He is suffering so badly that we can only pray that he is able to fall asleep and be in peace...sooner then later.
Elaine has been his sole caregiver for years and she is going thru such a myriad of emotions. My heart breaks for her.
And DON'T even get me started on her son-in-law...
Thank you again.
MO I'm praying that the sedation will allow him to let go and be released. (((HUGS)))
ReplyDeleteJUST LIN...I want to do something for her, but she says she is fine and doesn't need anything. I hate the thought of her being alone when the call comes. I am thinking that if all remains the same tomorrow, I am going to use the ruse of wanting to use her washer to stay there with her tomorrow night.
