Jesus in the Bathroom

by Dianne

A Sunday school teacher of pre-schoolers was concerned that his students might be a little confused about Jesus Christ. He wanted to make sure they understood that the birth of Jesus occurred a long time ago, that
he grew up, etc. So he asked his class, "Where is Jesus today?"

Steven raised his hand and said, "He's in heaven!"

Mary was called on and answered, "He's in my heart!"

Little Johnny, waving his hand furiously, blurted out, "I know! I know! He's in our bathroom!"

The whole class got very quiet, looked at the teacher, and waited for a response. The teacher was completely at a loss for a few very long seconds. He finally gathered his wits and asked little Johnny how he knew this.

Little Johnny replied, "Well, every morning my father gets up, bangs on the bathroom door, and yells 'Jesus Christ, are you still in there?' "

  3. I can't get the video to work but I am sure this song is a real toe tapper!

My Mothers beauty operator in the sixties was named Adele too!

Her daughter Myrna was the pianist at our church and Louise Louise...owner of Lewis Bait and Tackle...was the organist...

Louise gave me piano lessons for a short time on an old piano she had in the back of the bait shop.
But her bait business was good so she was constantly having to stop my lesson and go dip minnows for locals headed to the lake.

When Mumsey found out that my lessons were taking a back seat to the bait business we changed teachers...

Enter Mr. Dobbs. He wore his pants up to his nipples and was completely bald with ears that gave the appearance of 2 satellite dishes strapped to his head...I think of him now when I see that little man in the Six Flags commercials....He had a very nasal voice and he smelled funny so he didn't last long either...

Its amazing that with all the people who got in my way that I ever became accomplished...

And while it may be true that by 3rd grade that I was labeled as "hard to work with"....I think that can be said of all the truly great artists.

  4. Today's Highlight in History:

On April 21, 1962, the Century 21 Exposition, also known as the Seattle World's Fair, opened. President John F. Kennedy spoke briefly to the event by telephone from Palm Springs, Fla., where he tapped a gold telegraph key to signal the official start of the six-month fair.

In 1910, author Samuel Langhorne Clemens, better known as Mark Twain, died in Redding, Conn., at age 74.

In 1918, Baron Manfred von Richthofen, the German ace known as the "Red Baron," was killed in action during World War I.

In 1972, Apollo 16 astronauts John W. Young and Charles M. Duke Jr. explored the surface of the moon.

In 1986, a rediscovered vault in Chicago's Lexington Hotel that was linked to Al Capone was opened during a live TV special hosted by Geraldo Rivera; aside from a few bottles and a sign, the vault turned out to be empty.

  12. Di, Very funny. Thanks for the laugh. I hope Louis if feeling better.

Mo, I have actually thought about those vacuum robots and wondered how well they clean. I don't know anyone who has one, that I can ask.

Tina, I don't think I should ever have to vacuum again either, however I can't afford the cleaning lady for too much longer.

Michael, Thanks for the history lesson.

    Zona, Sizzlin' in AZ!

J/L, It's a beautiful day here in the capitol city, but it is supposed to get cold again on Monday. I wish Mother Nature would make up her mind.

  15. Good Evening All Owls,
Sorry I haven't been on all day. I have been with my grandchildren. Their beloved dog had a stroke this morning. She couldn't walk or see for quite a few hours. She didn't seem to be in any pain. Then she got a little better and then worse again. The Vet said it was probably her time, she is an almost 15 year old Labrador. They are keeping her warm and comforted. My grandchildren are so upset it breaks my heart. My grandson got her when he was two and my granddaughter has never known her world without her fur baby. We will see what tonight will bring. Please send positive thoughts their way. I would appreciate it. Good Night and God Bless.
