Hubby thinks these are squid.
These two ladies were hilarious. They sat there out of the water putting black sand on their arms and legs and faces, drinking beer, and slowly but surely, they ended up in the water. |
The Atlantic to the left....the Caribbean to the right~ |

He wanted $5 from her to take the picture with the monkeys. She said no. She told him she'd give him $2, and he said yes~ |

More beautiful pics, Tina. Thanks so much for letting us share your vacation. I know I will never get there in person.
ReplyDeleteDianne, Were you up early or still up from Monday? I've been watching some of the Olympics in the late hours and sleeping late.
I am getting ready to usher for the Music Man tonight. Shirley Jones and her son Patrick Cassidy are starring in it. The first time I saw it, Van Johnson was Harold Hill and he was a hoot. A woman stopped him when he was running off stage (it's theater in the round so they run up the aisle) and she told him how much she loved him. He said "Madame, you are a woman of excellent taste." LMAO
Waving to Zona and J/L Have a good evening everyone.
BARB: I love Music Man! I've only seen it on TV though. Do they sing "Shipoopi" in the play? That song always makes me laugh! I bet it's going to be good..Shirley Jones was in the movie too wasn't she? Cool!
ReplyDeleteI was just over on my Myspace page..I know I should delete it..but I just can't. My music player still works..kinda.. ;)

JL....I was up early for my new PT job with my daughter. It was kind of nice working but not getting up early. I didn't even start work until 10:30 :).
ReplyDeleteTina: I didn't get fired yet so that was good for my first day. Pretty good job---I didn't even have to do a drug test!!!
Mo: I keep telling you to quit giving out your phone number to strangers. You are following in Zona's footsteps!!! Hehe back. :)
Barb: how was the play? I love the music from Music Man. I know all the words. I guess I would be the "singing usher".
Zona: how is the water heater situation? All worked out and cleaned up?

ReplyDeleteDianne, the play was GREAT! I love the music and know a lot of the words too.
ReplyDeleteZona, Yes, they sing Shipoopi, the second song of the second act.
After the curtain call, when the whole cast was still on the stage, Shirley told us an amusing story about when she made the movie. About 3 months into shooting she discovered she was preggers with Patrick. When she told the director, he said they would work with it and cinch her in until they couldn't and then they would shoot her from the waist up if necessary, but he asked her not to tell anyone else. Hard as it was to keep her secret, she did.
Then when they were shooting the scene, toward the end of the movie, of her and Robert Preston in an embrace on the footbridge, he stepped back and said, "What the hell was that!" She said, "That was Patrick Cassidy."
At this point Patrick raised his hand and said about 20 years later he got the opportunity to work with Robert Preston. He went to Mr. Preston's dressing room and said "Hello, Mr. Preston, I'm Patrick Cassidy," and without skipping a beat, Mr. Preston said "We've already met!" Laughter, laughter, applause, applause.
I LOVE this job. I never would have been able to see all the musicals I have seen if I wasn't lucky enough to become an usher. Going to bed now to dream of 76 trombones.
SacBarb I'm glad you enjoyed your evening so much. What a perfect job you have.
