This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Passing this one....DIANNE'S brother posted this as a comment on my status yesterday. For those of you that missed it:
Dianne is doing really well, both with attitude and walking. I saw her yesterday and was totally amazed at the difference. Please let her friends all know! Figured this was a good place to post this!!!
Jodi, pretty at first and thanks so much for the comment you posted. It was nice of you to forward it on. It is also quite a surprise to actually hear that from my brother. It's nice to hear.
Tina: DO NOT GIVE THESE TO YOUR KIDS WITH THAT STAPLE!!!!!
Pretty decent sleep last night----good!! Biscuits and gravy and bacon for breakfast today and it was hot!!
Dianne Biscuits and gravy and bacon? Not exactly health food but it sure is yummy. Sounds like a nice way to start the day. Sorry your knee is hurting today.
I'm glad the neighbors didn't celebrate the Giants win last night for too long. People were setting off M80s (and bigger). It sounded like we were under attack. The poor dog was very, very worried about it and shivering and hiding out in a bedroom. She wouldn't even accept a treat.
Hurricane Sandy looks like it's going to be a bad one. I hope Carol and all the other east coast friends will be safe. I don't know who all will get hit with it but I just heard that it is heading to New Jersey.
My sis had cataract surgery today, so I was at the hospital from 8:30 am until 3:30pm. It was out-patient surgery, so she is home now doing well. She didn't want me to stay with her, but I'm on call if she needs anything. On the way home we stopped at Boston Market and she got about 20 lbs. of food to last her the rest of the week. LOL Tomorrow we have to go back to the Doc for him to check her. Both my parents had the same thing and now my sis, so I guess it will be my turn some day.
Hi Everyone.... Hmm, I guess that breakfast didnt sound too healthy plus they gave me jelly with it. I passed on the jelly!!
Barb, glad you're sister is doing well since her surgery. Lucky you have each other so close. No eggs in my breakfast mess. Lol
Boy, Sandy sounds and looks terrible. I'm sure glad they canceled Kayla's trip plus everything is closed in DC anyway. I'm with JL and everyone sending safe thoughts to everyone on the coast. It sounds like all the airports are bogged down across the country.
Boring night around here. I may take a short nap before DWTS comes on.
J/L, I grew up eating spaghetti with red sauce (which we called gravy) and my mom never made any other gravy, so I guess I just never got a taste for brown or white gravy. In fact, when I got married and my Hubby asked me to fix biscuits and gravy, I thought he meant brown gravy. I had never heard of white gravy and had to ask my MIL how to make it. My first attempt was inedible and it took a few tries, but I finally got it down.
JL, I kind of dozed through DWTS and I wanted to stay awake as it was country night. I will have to watch again tomorrow night.
Barb, I have a good Italian friend that we used to kid about her "gravy". She sure good make it great!! She would ask you over for spaghetti and gravy.
Tina--we need a good moan from you tomorrow.
Just finished my walk around the place with Louis and now tucked into this short skinny bed. Ahhhh, it will be heaven to be in my own bed in a few days.
BARB - Glad your sis's surgery went well!! I got most of it done. Thank you. The last thing we had to do was go to Jake's football banquet last night. He had the most tackles on his team....by 6!!! He was glowing when he found out :)
Rut roh.....major fail!!!
ReplyDeleteGood morning HOoters!!

Tina, Did you find that in your kid's pocket when you did the laundry? :-)
ReplyDeleteJodi, Hope you got all your stuff done today.
Dianne, Biscuits, gravy and bacon? Were there any eggs in that mess? I make killer gravy, but I don't eat it. I never liked it.
J/L, LOL @ redneck condom.
