YOUR LAUGH FOR THE DAY

by Sac Barb

A man is struck by a bus on a busy street in New York City. He lies dying on the sidewalk as a crowd of spectators gathers around. "A priest! Somebody get me a priest!" the man gasps. A policeman checks the crowd but finds no priest, no minister, no man of God of any kind.

"A PRIEST, PLEASE!" the dying man says again. Then out of the crowd steps a little old Jewish man of at least eighty years of age."Mr. Policeman," says the man, "I'm not a priest. I'm not even a Catholic. But for fifty years now I'm living behind St. Mary's Catholic Church on Third Avenue, and every night I'm listening to the Catholic litany. Maybe I can be of some comfort to this man."

The policeman agrees and brings the octogenarian over to the dying man. He kneels down, leans over the injured and says in a solemn voice:

 "B - 4.     I - 19.     N - 38.     G - 54.     O - 72."

  1. Good morning....everyone.

Just finished my shower and it wasnt quite as cumbersome as usual. I'm moving a little better, I think. Even was able to blo dry and get my hair curled.

Cute blog, barb. The only bad part is I hear an awful lot of bingo around here. I guess I can be a priest!!!

We may get some snow tomorrow. It's kind of gloomy today. I keep opening and closing my window every few min. I go to dr on Friday to get staples out. I have to be transported in a van

Hope everyone has a good day today.

  2. LOL Dianne. Do you play Bingo there? See, I told you it would get better. I know it's a slow process, but each day should be better than the day before and before you know it, you will be running a foot race. Well, maybe not running, but comparatively speaking, it will seem like it.

It snowed in our mountains here last night down to 4,000 feet, which is a big thing because we don't start at 10,000 feet. I know that compared to your mountains, these are hills, but...

  4. Dianne You look so pretty at first today. I'm glad to hear that showering is becoming a little easier and got your hair blow dried and everything. That must make you feel better. Of course, it's kind of like being all dressed up and no place to go right? You must be looking forward to the outing on Friday. Are you critiqueing the bingo caller?

  7. Go Giants---who are you playing? I'm not quite as into baseball as inam football.

JL-I am all dressed up with nowhere to go. All I can say about their bingo caller is that she is extremely loud !!!

Barb, I don't think there will be any foot races here and I'm not playing bingo. I do get a chuckle when they all talk about how young Ii am to be here. Nice to feel like a baby child. Lol.

Zona--where are you? I know you are out there and no taking blog breaks!!! :).

Dinner wasnt bad tonight and I've been watching news most of the afternoon. I'm going to walk when Louis arrives --or try to anyway. Forward I go---------
