A new teacher was trying to make use of her psychology courses. She started her class by saying, 'Everyone who thinks they're stupid, stand up!' After a few seconds, Little Harold stood up. The teacher said, 'Do you think you're stupid, Harold?' 'No, ma'am, but I hate to see you standing there all by yourself!'

Harold watched, fascinated, as his mother smoothed cold cream on her face. 'Why do you do that, mommy?' he asked. 'To make myself beautiful,' said his mother, who then began removing the cream with a tissue. 'What's the matter, asked Harold 'Giving up?'

The math teacher saw that Harold
wasn't paying attention in class. She called on him and said,
'Harold! What are 2 and 4 and 28 and 44?' Harold quickly
replied, 'NBC, FOX, ESPN and the Cartoon
Network!'

Harold's kindergarten class was on a field trip to their local police station where they saw pictures tacked to a bulletin board of the 10 most wanted criminals. One of the youngsters pointed to a picture and asked if it really was the photo of a wanted person. 'Yes,' said the policeman. 'The detectives want very badly to capture him. Harold asked,"Why didn't you keep him when you took his picture?"

Little Harold attended a horse auction with his father. He watched as his father moved from horse to horse, running his hands up and down the horse's legs and rump, and chest. After a few minutes, Harold asked, 'Dad, why are you doing that?' His father replied, 'Because when I'm buying horses, I have to make sure that they are healthy and in good shape before I buy. Harold, looking worried, said, 'Dad, I think the UPS guy wants to buy Mom ....'
Good Morning!!
ReplyDeleteTINA: Those UPS guys really move fast..but that one better RUN..js.. ;)
JODI: I hope your youngest is feeling better..nothing worse than getting sick over the holidays!
GLORIA: Sorry to hear you had to go back to the ER..hopefully they were able to give you the meds you need to kick that pneumonia and feel better. Cool story about the nurse! I think our loved ones are always watching over us..it's nice when we get a little sign from them confirming that every now and then.. :)
J/LIN & BARB: I remember being so sick of the rain in So Ca the winter before we moved. It was relentless. They always said there was a drought..even after it rained for what seemed like almost a month! Not on the day of the Rose Bowl Parade though..it cleared up and the sky was as blue as could be on that day! The next day..pouring again. Strange!
DI: I predict you will find those gifts sometime around Valentine's Day..I don't know why I think that..I just do..
MARY: It was cold yesterday..in the high 50's..low 50's today..better get out my polar fleece..wait..I don't have any polar fleece..lol. ;)
LYNN: It's the worst kind of stuff to have to deal with..sending you love and hugs.. ♥
Tina, "out of the mouths of babes" you never know what kids are gonna pick up from conversations and REPEAT! Thanks for the laughs.
ReplyDeleteZona, you should have at least one polar fleece article just in case. Wouldn't want you to freeze.
I'm headed out the door to go meet Sharon. We are going to see Peter Pan today with Cathy Rigby. She's still flying!
Have a good day everyone. BBL
Zona Congrats on being first today and prettiest of all the owls. As a teenager, my friends and I would have a great time walking around all night in Pasadena on New Year's Eve. All sorts of people were camped out on the sidewalk, claiming their spsot for parade watching. Once the parade started in the morning, we'd go home. At the time, it just seemed like great fun to be out all night. I guess I was easily entertained back then. LOL
ReplyDeleteTina Thanks for the blog today. Very cute. That's my kind of kid.
ReplyDeleteIs it snowing up there?
SacBarb I hope you and Sharon enjoy the performance today. I remember how excited I was as a kid when the Mary Martin version would come on the black and white TV.
ReplyDeleteFrom Area 51:
ReplyDeleteHOdi So sorry that Jake is still sick. Do you think it's something he ate?
Gloria I'm sorry you had to go to the ER. That's neat about the nurse knowing who your mother was. It's a small world.
TINA - Cute blog! Made me think of Dale....we always teased him that he was the UPS man's ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a day. Got Jake into the dr office at 9:45 am. They wanted him to have a CT scan to rule out gall bladder or appendix. By the time we got home, it was after 3:30 pm. The dr called us back to confirm it was not appendicitis and she prescribed an anti nausea/vomiting medicine. I had her call it in to Walgreens. When I got there, the pharmacist told me our insurance needed a prior authorization for that medication. He told me to go home and he would call after he got another prescription for a medication that didn't need authorization. He didn't call back til after 6pm!!! Poor Jake. He was waiting to get the medicine so he could at least drink a little something. The dr said to wait about 30 minutes after taking the medicine to try. He's been sleeping ever since we got home. When I got home from Walgreens, he didn't even want it. I think it will b a long night. I'm going to sleep on the couch in case he wakes up.
ReplyDeleteHOdi Sorry tht was such a trial today, especially the medication part. I hope you and Jake are both able to get some sleep tonight.
ReplyDeleteHello......well, it's very cold...6....and snowing lightly. Good night to be home. Went for a mammogram today and an early dinner and came home and took a good nap. My house is still a mess.
ReplyDeleteJodi, so sorry Jake has been so sick today. Hope he sleeps through the night and feels better in the morning. My granddaughter is home in bed sick too. What a pain insurance is now a days.
Zona, you are very lovely in your warm clothes today. Brr 50's...how do you stand it? Come visit me for a few days.
Gloria, sorry you had to go to ER but glad they didn't keep you. That pneumonia is hard to eventually get over stay in and stay warm. I think you met that nurse for a reason. Interesting.
JL, no dog walks today? Maybe that's why we are night owls today..we used to love to stay up all night. At least we can sleep as late as we want as grown ups.
Tina, funny blog. See on FB you are in CA...have a nice visit.
Barb, how was the play? Did u go out to dinner too? Hope you had a fun day
Dianne I think the holiday activity caught up with me. I was too cold (50*) and too tired to do anything. I even ended up taking a small nap on the couch; something I never do. The dog seems to be tired today, too, and has slept on her bed almost all day. I did make myself a nice dinner; tilapia, baked potato, and fresh green beans. I keep snacking on all the cookies and fudge that are still here. Not a good way to try to lose weight.
ReplyDeleteugh.....wrote a whole lot and poof.....it's gone....grrrrrr.....
ReplyDeleteI'm on hubby's iPad.....so forgive me....this is gonna be bad....
I'm sure it's still snowing in UT.....but I'm in CA.....we left this morning for LAX.....wearing a jacket.....went thru de-icing.....landed in LAX.....took off jacket.....and put AC on....sat outside In-in-Out for lunch watching the planes land.....saw an A380 land.....Michael would have LOVED it....totally cool~
Hope everyone is feeling better soon......glad you enjoyed Harold~
Tina Glad you landed safe. Enjoy your visit.
