God grant me
the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into
the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.
Now that I'm older here's what I've discovered:
1. I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.
2. My wild oats have turned into prunes and all-bran.
3. I finally got my head together, and now my body is falling apart.
4. Funny, I don't remember being absent-minded.
5. Funny, I don't remember being absent-minded.
6. If all is not lost, where is it?
7. It is easier to get older than it is to get wiser.
8. Some days, you're the dog; some days you're the hydrant.
9. I wish the buck stopped here; I sure could use a few.
10. Kids in the back seat cause accidents.
11. Accidents in the back seat cause kids.
12. It's hard to make a comeback when you haven't been anywhere.
13. The only time the world beats a path to your door is when you're in the bathroom.
14. If God wanted me to touch my toes, he'd have put them on my knees.
15. When I'm finally holding all the cards, why does everyone want to play chess?
16. Its not hard to meet expenses... they're everywhere.
17. The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.
18. These days, I spend a lot of time thinking about the hereafter... I go somewhere to get something, and then wonder what I'm hereafter
19. Funny, I don't remember being absent-minded.
Funny, I don't remember being absent-minded. LOL

I finally got my head together and now my body is falling apart.
ReplyDeleteLynn, Do I need to remind you how beautiful you are in first, in case you forgot?
Dianne, I relate to all of them, too, unfortunately.
I hope you are all having a good weekend.
Oops, that comment was supposed to be to J/L. Funny I don't remember being absent minded!
ReplyDeleteSacBarb Yikes! You're starting to forget our names. Maybe we need to wear nametags now. LOL
ReplyDeleteDianne OMG! You sleep in even more than I do.
ReplyDeleteI haven't accomplished anything today except for picking up wet dog poop (thought I better do that before the next storm hits) and one load of laundry. I haven't done any of my exercises.
LOL Barb! Now, if I could just remember which one was funny...
ReplyDeleteEverybody remember Katie from New Jersey on the Rossblog? Her older brother died yesterday after a long battle against cancer. :(
ReplyDeleteLinda: I'm about to head out to the first of two Christmas parties. Rain, rain, go away! (But it won't).
ReplyDeleteBear Just sprinkling here at the moment. Have fun and be safe out there.
ReplyDeleteWow Bear...nice to see you. Your branch is empty without you flying in more. Maybe u can come back and tell us about the fun at the Christmas party. Are you wearing your favorite Christmas sweater?
ReplyDeleteI do sleep in if I don't have any plans and my Saturday plans are not until in a few minutes. I'm lazy plus hey...I just had surgery..I have to rest (remember I'm telling Louis that for a few years)
Barb, 70 here today. No snow hardly even in the mountains. It will arrive when we least expect it. We are once again breaking records with the beautiful weather. I love it, although I'd like to see the ski resorts get some snow

ReplyDeleteMan can I relate to today's blog! Yesterday I went to visit my Niece Raquel who lives about 90 miles south and west of me. I was halfway to Lansing which is south east when I realized I had gotten on the wrong highway entrance! I rarely get on that way, so being a creature of habit and not paying attention!!!
ReplyDeleteGah!
Today I went Christmas shopping in Lansing and DID get on the right ramp lol!
Whabby, good seeing you here. Sorry, I don't remember Katie, but that is no surprise at my tender age!
