  10. Good Morning Tina, Dianne, Just_Lin, Jodi and Lynn.

Happy New Year to all owls this morning.

I just got up. I didn't have a single drink all holiday so why do I feel tired and hung over this morning. It was a wonderful week and I feel sad it's over. Hope everyone is happy this morning. It's a new year with no mistakes in it, (apology to "Anne of Green Gables" for misquoting her.

    Have a great day everyone.

  16. I made myself one great Bloody Mary last night. I found out from my son that besides putting a healthy amount of horseradish in it and a few shakes of tobasco, it requires a little bit of juice from the green olive jar. I had celery salt around the rim of the glass and the drink was super! I'm such a party animal that I switched to Coke after that. LOL

    1. Evening Night Owls. Happy 2013 to all of us.

Zona, you need to explain your moose horn to JL otherwise, her imagination will go wild.

Tink, it is kind of sad the holidays are all over. Now we just have the cold for the next four months. Time for a cruise I think.

Jodi, sorry your team didn't win. I'm sure the Packers will win until they play the Broncos. Js glad you are getting or oj...very important this time of year. I'm going to a baby shower on Saturday with no games and they are serving mimosa and bloody Mary's. it sounds like my kind of a shower.

Lynn, I would have gone for the nap at the beach too. Which did you decide to do?

JL your hair looks rather nice today. Must be a different style from your morning style. Have a fun dinner.

Zona, how's that cold doing? Maybe you need to be drinking what Jodi and JL are drinking.

  26. Happy New Year everyone. I hope you all are having a good day. I think I should practice writing 2013 so I won't screw up any checks I need to write. It usually takes me til about June to get used to writing a new year.

  27. HOdi As it turned out, I did have more veggies tonight. ;)

  28. Dianne Your reply instead of comment? I don't know what you're talking about. I do appreciat the compliment on my hair, though. I must admit it is looking much better now.

  29. SacBarb I hope this first day of 2013 was good to you. Mine was pleasant and uneventful. I did take the dog for a nice walk by the pier. A lot of other people had the same idea today so it was kind of crowded. I enjoyed dinner with a friend but didn't care for my actual dinner too much. It was chicken cacciatore and it just wasn't "right", ya know?

  30. DIANNE - When I'm on my Nook it has a place to reply to all comments left, but it just shows up as another comment.....kwim? ;)

  34. HOdi It was the first time I wasn't 100% happy with my meal at that particular restaurant. On the upside, I loved the minestrone soup and they make a very good Bloody Mary. :)

  35. Soup sounds wonderful right now!! Still have a head full of snot, and now a stabbing pain in my right ear. OH JOY!!!

Emergen-C, green tea, sudafed, AND ibuprofen DO YOUR THING!!!

  38. Happy New Year everybody!!
My sleeping patterns are all messed up after going to bed after 4am NYE! Jim caught a bad cold and wasn't much help with my DJ/Karaoke job. He only stayed a couple hrs. I know he wanted to go home, but we have never missed being together at the stroke of midnight in all of our 39 yrs being together, so he kind of kissed me at midnight ( no germs lol) and left. I met him the summer of 1973 and this is the first time he has been sick on NYE.

It didn't look like the revelers wanted to go home around 2am, so I gave them a hint, I played "Goodnight Sweetheart" lol! They looked my way, laughed, and sang along and off they went!
A good friend of mine helped me most of the night and also helped me pack my equipment. He is a good singer too.
It is 3am here. I will attempt to get some sleep.

Best wishes to you all in 2013!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. MARY - You wouldn't believe the guys I work with...all volunteering to be your cabana boy!!! It's a shame they wouldn't all fit in my suitcase. Fun bunch ;)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Mary I'm sorry Jim got sick on NYE but he sure has a good track record. Here's hoping you don't get it, too.

    ReplyDelete
