One could try to pass her, but I certainly
wouldn't honk the horn!

  1. Happy Friday HOoters.

I love this license plate. I forgot I had sent it to Tina.

I hope you all have a great day.

  3. Hi everyone .....funny license plates. Bet the prisoner making it got a laugh!!!!

Went for my interview this morning for the volunteers. I just have to wait for a background check. Roamed around Walmart Foods and spent $170 buying some groceries, cards for October and November and one gift card. Whew!!!

You do look lovely this morning, Barb. What are you off to do today?

Jodi, did you ever see that movie the other day? I'm going tomorrow.

  4. BARB - I'd pass her for sure ;-)

  5. MARY - Are u getting the heatwave we are? Going to be almost 90 here tomorrow!

    ReplyDelete
  6. DIANNE - I haven't had a chance yet. Maybe on Sunday. Sam has Sunday off, so maybe we can go together!!

  7. Jodi, we have had very hot weather this summer. We are expecting the 90s in a few days. Sweating my ars off!

  8. Dianne, How did you like Priscilla?

Mary & Jodi, We are heating up here too. Gonna be in the three digits over the weekend.

J/L, Are you still eating leftovers?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Barb You are lovely at first today. Funny license plate! No, I'm not eating leftovers as I got sick of it. Still have some ribs in the fridge. Tonight I got Mexican food.

  10. Mary It was hot here today, too, at least for us. After going to Curves, I washed my car then watered the front lawn. Then I decided to blast the water on the front of the house to remove spider webs and stuff. When I went back inside, I realized that one of the living room windows had been open. LOL

  11. Dianne Isn't it amazing how fast the tab can go up when buying groceries?

What kind of work will you be doing as a volunteer? Do you know that yet?

  12. HOdi I was whining about our heat today. It really wasn't that bad except that exercising and washing the car made it seem even hotter.

  13. JL, you should have put the old bikini on and turned that hose on yourself to cool off.

I'll be doing room visits at the rehab place. They mentioned bingo or manicures but you all know how I feel about bingo and I'm not too excited to do manicures. I just want to visit with people. It was kind of strange being in there and seeing a man in my old room. It was just a lot of good and bad memories to see the place.

Went to a happy hour with some friends tonight and also had Mexican food.

Barb, we liked the show. I didn't know it was all in drag. The music, dancing and costumes were great and it was funny too.

It's hot here too. We hit a record of 102 today and that's too hot for September for us...it's fall. Mary...can you find some cool weather for all of us?

Jodi, how does Sam like her apartment? Does she come over much?

That's about it for this part of the country.

  14. Dianne OMG! I don't think I've put on any type of bathing suit for at least 25 years and it sure won't be a bikini if I were to do so now.

    ReplyDelete
  15. J/L, In the past 25 years I've only donned a bathing suit for water aerobics and it certainly wasn't a bikini. In fact, it would probably be called a 1920's throw-back. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Dianne, I knew the content of the show because I remember when the movie came out, but I didn't see it. The movie did not get good reviews.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Barb LOl @ 1920's throw-back.

The original Australian movie with Terence Stamp and Guy Pearce was good. I didn't see the American version which was called "To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar. That one didn't get good reviews.

  18. Hi....I never heard of the movie. The show was colorful.

I went to see The Butler today. I liked it a lot. I liked the history part of it and of course so much from my growing up years. Interesting movie. A couple of new ones coming out. One with Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts ..looked fun. A brad Pitt one and a Tom Hanks true story one too. I'm glad some decent movies are coming out. Another Hunger Games too. I didn't see the first one of that series

Another heat record breaking day. Blah.

We went to a new place for early dinner after the movie. It's called Hurricane Grill and Wings....ever heard of it? It was good. I had crab cake sliders.

Oh you gals are so shy about your swim wear. Hee hee...I don't remember the last time I wore one either.

  19. Checking in. I had a nice relaxing day today, well except for cooking beef tips and baked potatoes with veggies and making homemade biscuits for the strawberry shortcake, washing and putting away cloths and trimming some bushes. Walking the dog was relaxing lol!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Dianne Happy Sunday to you, too. Did you do lots of cooking like Barb did?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Barb Well, see! You really do cook sometimes. What was the occasion? It sounded delish.

    ReplyDelete
  22. J/L are you mixing me up with Mary? I didn't cook today. I see your 9ers won against Jodi's Packers. The Colts beat the Raiders. Looks like it's gonna be a long season for the Raiders again. :(

Mary, your idea of relaxing and mine are completely different. I wonder what you do when you don't have a relaxing day? ;)

Waving to Dianne and Jodi. I hope you both had a good weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Barb I don't know why I thought it was you cooking today. And I know you don't have a dog! Yikes! I think I'm losing it.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mary Looks like I have egg on my face. Gee, I wonder where that saying came from. Anyway, looks like you had a busy day.

    ReplyDelete
  25. JL....you have me so confused. I think I might have done the cooking and walked the dog!!!

Barb, I agree with you..Mary's idea of relaxing is for sure not mine.

JL and Jodi...looks like your teams were having some fights today.

I picked up a pot pie at KFC for Louis for dinner. That was my cooking.

  26. Good morning HOoters!! Enjoying a cup of coffee while my house is still quiet!

  27. DIANNE - I did not end up going to the movie yesterday. Sam's boyfriends Dad competed in the Ironman Wisconsin, so they were in Madison all day and night cheering him on. She is loving her apartment!! And we try to see each other at least once a week :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. SLIN - Congrats to the 9'ers. What a game!!

    ReplyDelete
  29. MARY - I guess my idea of relaxing yesterday was doing laundry, washing the sheets and watching the Harry Potter marathon on ABC Family *kept switching back and forth during the Packer/9'ers game* Congrats to the Lions beating the Vikings!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. BARB - I hope you survived the heat over the weekend!! It had cooled off to the mid 70's yesterday (great for all those crazy people doing the Ironman Wisconsin), but we're heading back to 91 today.

  31. Great news!! Tim found someone to buy his car. Not as much money as I was hoping for, but at least it will be gone!! And a friend of his has an old Honda Civic with relatively low miles. Very clean and gets good gas mileage. He wants to trade his car for Tim's truck when he gets it done. That's fine with me. I'd rather he have something reliable that gets good mileage than a pumped up truck that might only get about 10 miles to the gallon!!

  32. I best get cleaned up. I'm taking the boys out for breakfast before school.

    Have a great day ♥

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ixnay on the sale of the car. The person wanting to buy it is over 2 hours away and has no way to pick it up. Ugh!! Tim did say that the auto teacher has interest in buying it for a shop car.

  34. JL, I was scratching my head last night reading your post lol! All is good, wipe your pretty face off :)

Barb, cracked me up when JL wrote "I know you don't have a dog! Yikes!"

Jodi Thanks for the Lions "congrats"! Winning is always fun!

I am off to the big city to look for a "drummers practice pad", and drumsticks for my 10 yr old Niece in Texas.

Dianne, I like your idea of cooking :). Enchilada dinner here tonight. Come on over!

It has been raining with thunder and lightening here. Not quite in the 60s, but expecting the 90s Tues. way weird lol!

    Have a great week all!!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Dianne So you got a pot pie for Louis but what did you get for yourself? I took myself out to dinner last night.....soup, salad, shrimp on a skewer with baked potato and fresh veggies. It was very good and kitchen clean up was a snap. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  36. HOdi That was a fun game to watch. Both teams are good. Sorry the car deal fell through.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Mary Can I come over for enchiladas, too? Yum!

  38. Dropping by and waving a wing!! Heading out soon. Back to school nite at Jake's school. Then I have to go get acquainted with my new bowling team. My boss talked me into being the 2nd alternate on his all male gay bowling league. Should be a hoot!!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. HOdi I have a feeling you're going to have a lot of fun on bowling night.

    ReplyDelete
  40. SLIN - I stand corrected, it's a gay league. Co-ed. Last night was so much fun!! I just have to get my ball to get re-drilled. Wheee!!!
