  3. HO-HO-HO HOdi You're one lucky lady.

I had a lovely day with my daughter and her boyfriend and his father. The Christmas lunch buffet we went to at a swanky place was super good and I'm still too full.

One present Elizabeth gave me that I am in complete awe of is 3 hardbound books made up entirely of photos she took when we went on our London/Northern European Cruise trip. Even the cover photos are ones she took. It is all so professional. I absolutely love them. She took about 2,500 photos during that trip and whittled it down to the ones in these books; somewhere between 900 and 1,000 photos.

  4. SLIN - What a great gift!! I'm still not feeling the best. Spent most of the day laying low. So along with my fancy gift, I'm wafting eau de Vicks thru the house ;-)

  7. Happy Boxing Day.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Mine was good and almost drama free.

    Jodi, Happy shopping.

J/L, what a wonderful gift. That's a lot of pictures. No wonder you don't bother to take any when you're with Elizabeth.

Waving a floppy wing to Dianne and Mary.

  11. Hi.....happy day after Christmas.

Good job on shopping Jodi and so glad you're feeling better. I didn't venture to any stores today. When I drove by Walmart it was packed. Your necklace is very nice. It's my favorite color.

Today my friend and I went to lunch and exchanged gifts. She gave me a Garvin for my car as I seem to be known for getting lost easy. Now I just have to figure out how to use it.

We had a nice day at my daughters yesterday. I was pooped by the time we came home and I didn't even do anything. I think everyone liked their gifts. I received a few more charms too for my bracelet.

Ok Barb...you know we are all "curious" about your day and your comment. I love your new bracelet. Very pretty.

Jl...what a wonderful gift from your daughter. That's quite a memory present plus all the work to make it for you....made with love.

    Mary...what are you doing?

Jodi...looks like you are going to have a good chance to win your game Sunday. Yes, I hope so

  12. My sister is known for creating BIG drama, so it's expected. A few years ago I made a decision not to buy into it (she knows how to push my buttons) and I have been much happier. So yesterday she was helping rinse the dishes (a rarity that she helps) after dinner and using soap to rinse them. I said since we are going to put them in the dishwasher, she didn't need to use soap, and she got all pissy. She said "next time I won't bother to help." I could have said a LOT, but I bit my tongue and said nothing. Luckily, it was close to the end of the day. That's all!

  13. Barb In the first place, what she was doing made no sense and is just wasteful and, in the second place, she sure is overly sensitive.

  14. Dianne I'm with you. I have no desire to go out shopping with the crowds. It sounds like you have a nice visit with your girlfriend. It was about 70 here today so I took the dog for a walk along the levee by the beach. It was lovely and relaxing.

  15. JL. I had to scroll back to your comment. Did you say 70*? Dam. We are still a frozen tundra! Many are still without power. There is rumor that we may reach 40* for a day next week then back down :(

I was pooped from Christmas so I spent most of the day watching tv in bed with Zoie. I got up and made pizza, washed cloths and went to the neighbors to drop off mail and feed cats. His driveway has not been plowed since he is in a nursing home recuperating from his knee surgery. On my way back to our house I heard a snapping sound. I turned around and saw a big limb land right where I had just walked! There is just too much ice & snow on them. I may have to wear a helmet next time lol!

Time to fold towels and head to bed.

  16. Mary Yes, I did say 70. It was 70 on Christmas, also.

You be careful, Little Lady. We don't want any branches or chunks of ice landing on your little head. It's dangerous out there in your neck of the woods.

  17. J/L, Yes, I sorta said it was wasteful and that's when she snapped. I have learned I cannot win with her. That's why I had to decide not to engage in her drama, however sometimes I slip a little. She is one of those people who doesn't take responsibility for doing anything wrong, and if something goes wrong, it's always because someone did something that caused her to do something that caused, etc. etc. etc. It's a losing battle, so I usually just try to ignore it.

  18. Happy Friday.

I am just hanging at home today, doing a lil cleaning, emphasis on the lil!

  19. Barb I can't say I even did a little cleaning today. I was pretty lazy except for running a few errands. I did make a delicious cheesy potato soup with ham in it using my new Dutch oven that my daughter got me. Love it!

  25. Hi Everyone....

We went to an after Christmas party today at my uncles. They usually have it before but no time this year. It was very nice. I liked it being the weekend after as things are calmer this week.

Yum, I'd like some potato soup and bourbon balls. Sounds like a perfect breakfast, lunch or dinner to me.

Jodi, have fun with Lois and be careful, driving home. Go packers!!!

Going to my brothers for the bad Raider game tomorrow and stay for dinner too. Barb, ready to bet and give me points? I know how you like to do that with me when the two teams meet. Umm, we need to win to have playoff at home...if you don't mind? We don't need a spoiler team to mess it up, please.

Wow Jl....70... I'll take that it's snowing here lightly tonight and in the 20's.
