  2. Oh come on...I bet you tried!! Are you having fun? How's the weather? You're missing beautiful weather here.

Sure is quiet in here today. Everyone must be getting ready for a big weekend. I'm going to the movie tomorrow to see a The Other Woman. It looks pretty funny. Sunday my youngest grandson is making his first communion so going to that and then to my sons. It will be nice to see them after all this time!!

    What are you all doing?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Barbara in WA Good job being first today. That entitles you to be declared the most beautiful of us all. I didn't try to lick my elbow, either. LOL

  4. Dianne Well, I can't say that I did too much today. I did take myself out to dinner and tomorrow my daughter and I are celebrating my birthday early with lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant and a movie. We plan to see "The Grand Budapest Hotel".

    ReplyDelete
  5. JL...where did u go to dinner? Did u have lobster? Louis and I went to lunch today. I had a very good salmon salad. Have fun tomorrow with your daughter tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Dianne I wish I liked salmon. I know it's supposed to be quite good for you. I just went to a little family owned local restaurant for dinner. I had their grilled shrimp on a skewer, baked potato, etc. They also make their own soups everyday and Friday is always clam chowder. A cup of that comes with dinner as does a small salad. Dinner, iced tea, and tip comes to $20. It's a good deal.

  7. BARB IN WA - I bet u might after a glass on wine ;)

  8. DIANNE - The Other Woman looks funny!! Enjoy your time with your son's family on Sunday ♥

  9. Good grief....BARB IN WA, I meant glass OF wine!!

  10. SLIN - Love clam chowder, and with our chilly weather this last week, it would've totally hit the spot!!

  11. How was everyone's Saturday? I had a yummy lunch with my daughter and her boyfriend then we went to the movies and saw The Grand Budapest Hotel. I liked it quite a bit. It was quirky and odd, like me. LOL

  12. SLIN - My day started with breakfast with Paul. Went to Kohls to spend my Kohls Cash. Got 3 cute shirts for only $3. I then went to Wal-Mart. Found khaki and navy pants that I will be able to wear when I'm out of the store as Auditor's Asst. The khaki pair were at the regular price, but the navy pair were on a clearance rack for $5!!! Score!!! Stayed up to watch The Sunway Show on Livestream. Going to have another Spotted Cow and watch some tv.

Glad u liked the movie. I will have to add it to my list!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. HOdi Score, indeed! You had a very good shopping day.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hi,,,went to late breakfast with my friend and then we went to the movie. The Other Woman was so funny. It's really a movie you all should go see. We saw some pretty good coming attractions too. Jersey Boys is coming out as a movie. I love that play and music.

I woke up coughing this morning. I think I am getting Louis's disease. I was just at the dr yesterday and was fine. I left a message today to see if they would call in a zpac for me just in case. Great timing.

JL...glad you had a nice day and enjoyed your movie. I have your card and didn't get it in the mail so it might be a day or two late but I haven't forgotten. I'm so unorganized!!

Jodi...Sounds like you really got some good deals today. My daughter does Kohls cash a lot too.

Turned on our air today and no cold air coming out so have to call someone on Monday. Ugh

    ReplyDelete
  15. DIANNE - Another movie for my list. It looks hilarious!! Good luck with the z pac and the a/c!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Dianne I didn't get a chance to see Jersey Boys on stage so am looking forward to the movie.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well today went good. My DIL was fine and was friendly. I just don't get it. Now I won't hear from her again. It was so great to see the kids again My little grandson looked so cute making his communion in his little suit. I will see them on mothers days I think.

Louis brought my suitcase in as it's time for me to start packing...ugh I wish that was all done.

We had 85 degrees today. That's hot enough for me. Hope the ac people can come this week.

    How was everyone's day?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Dianne I had a pretty boring day. I did take myself out of a late breakfast, did a little grocery shopping and laundry. I'm glad your visit went well. I talked to my grandkids on the phone today but I don't get to see them very often now that their parents are divorced. They spend time with their father but he lives a couple of hours away so visits are few and far between.

When do embark on your cruise?

    ReplyDelete
  19. DIANNE - I'm glad it went well for u! And just what do u pack? A furry bikini? ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  20. SLIN - I took Sam, Nate and Jake out for lunch. We went to Red Robin. I wish I had suggested Country Corners. Better burgers and for about half the price. Plus its across the road from the church where my family is buried. Being that it was Dale's birthday, we took a drive out there. I knew they had finally set my Uncle Russ' stone and I wanted to see that, too.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Best make this quick. Paul will be up soon. He has to work at 4 am, too.

    Have a great week HOoters!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Good morning, HOoters! I am going to try to go clothes shopping today which I absolutely hate to do. I even hated it 50 lbs ago but even more so now. Wish me luck.

    ReplyDelete
  23. HOdi I hope you have a great day. You are def the early bird among us.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Good morning fron sunny Dan Diego. It's been really hot (in the 90s) since I got here, but it's cooling down and today it will only get to 70 degrees. That's perfect.

My flight on Wednesday was supposed to take off at 4:05pm so I got to the airport at 2:15. I had just gotten to my gate when I heard an announcement that all flights to SoCal were on hold indefinitely. Thr radar system was down and they had no ETA when it would be repaired. Until then, no flights were allowed in or out of any airport in SoCal. So, Not knowing what else to do, I just sat there and waited for updates, which were few and far between. Finally, about 4:30pm, Todd texted me that he saw an update online that the system was back up and my flight was rescscheduled to 5:25. They never announced it at the airport, but I was at my gate so eventually I would have heard a boarding announcement, I guess. Anyway, I finally got to San Diego only about 90 minutes later than the originally scheduled time.

  25. J/L, I went to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 yesterday and it was pretty good. Lots of action, predictably. I may see The Grand Budapest Hotel while I'm here. BTW, I love your odd quirky self!

  26. Time to take the pup for a walk. Waving a wing to Dianne, Jodi, Mary, and Barbara in WA. BBL. ;)

  27. Barb Well, after all that, it's a good thing you didn't miss your flight. ;)

  28. Good evening gals! My surgery is scheduled for 8:00am. I know I should be in bed, but being a night owl, that is next to impossible lol! I should be home by 1:00 in the afternoon. I will leave a quick message here. I I know me, I will sleep the day away. Anesthesia does that to me. I always let them know I have trouble coming out of it, so "don't over medicate me!" That happened to me once and it took over 10 hrs to get me fully recovered enough to go home :(

My day was busy, mostly house drudgery. I did get some gross-eries. I cannot believe how high everything has gotten! Since my step son has moved in my weekly grocery bill is up by $50. I hope my money lasts until he leave this fall lol!

Dianne, just throw everything in your suitcase lol! I always over pack!

JL, I wish I liked chowder, but just the smell does me in lol!

Hodi, I love your singing to me! It will remain on my phone forever :)

Barb-in-Wa, I sure love your back yard in Wash. I bet you will make your new place look awesome too!

Barb, I almost missed a flight when I was flying home from Europe. I didn't know they had changed the gate until just before they closed the door! I had fallen asleep and an airline attendant woke me up! I believe it was in Amsterdam. WHEW!

LATER... Don't forget to send up prayers and good juju for my hiney :0

    ReplyDelete
  29. Mary, I'm sending up all the prayers and good juju for your surgery to go well tomorrow. 💗💗💗

    ReplyDelete
  30. J/L, I will never sit away from from my gate again.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Mary Best of luck to you tomorrow. I'll send prayers and good juju your way. I have the opposite problem with anesthesia; I resist it. Actually woke up when they were cutting my throat to remove my thyroid gland. I don't recommend doing that.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Barb I think you and I are now both paranoid about missing flights.... and for good reason.

    ReplyDelete
  33. SLIN - Hope your shopping trip was successful!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY ♥

    ReplyDelete
  34. Waving back at you BARB! My Asst Store Leader and his boyfriend went to Spiderman 2. They loved it! p.s. send me some of that heat!!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. MARY - Sending prayers, good juju, and crossing my titties (just to be safe)....love u lady ♥

    ReplyDelete
  36. Mary .. Thinking of you tomorrow and your bottom too.

JL..HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! How was your shopping trip? Do u ever buy online? Hope you fond lots of things so you don't have to go again for awhile.

BArb...whew, what sounds hot. We are in the 80's and it's hot here. I just don't really like the heat at all. I'm not nuts about snow but I prefer the cooler weather. I guess Alaska should suit me just fine as long as it's not raining.

Jodi. I do t think I'll be taking my furry bikini to Alaska. Maybe we can bring our matching ones to the Hofest.

    ReplyDelete
  37. DIANNE - Sounds like a plan!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. HOdi and Dianne Thanks for the B-day wishes. Yes, I did good at shopping. Bought 5 new tops that I desperately needed.

Hey, are those furry bikinis in Bronco colors by any chance?

    ReplyDelete
  39. SLIN - You're welcome! And I hope u enjoyed your song!

    ReplyDelete
  40. MARY - Thinking of u and your sweet A-hole today. Hope the surgery goes well :-)

    ReplyDelete
  41. JL....you guessed it. Now I guess mine and Jodi's surprise is over

    ReplyDelete
  42. Howdy Hooters! I slept most of thr day. I cooked supper for my 3 lazv men! I assumed (wrong) that they would have ordered out or at least cooked for themselves! You know dam well if it was THEIR tush they would be wallowing in "poor me" and milking it for all its worth lol!
Surprising I am not in much pain, just some discomfort. It could be different by morning lol!

Thanks for all the sweet "tush" thoughts. It's funny how much knowing that all of you kept me in your thoughts, helped! It kept me from over thinking especially since my surgery was delayed by over an hour! Jim dropped me off and drove home. He is the worst about waiting in Hospitals, airports, or lines of any kind!!
I will have the results of my lab work early Monday morning.

JL, I didn't forget your Birthday, honest! Your card should be there soon. I am so bad! I buy the cards early enough, I just forget to mail them lol! I hope it was a good day for you!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Mary No worries and I did have a very nice day. It sounds like you had a good one, too, all things considered. Glad you are not in much discomfort. Hey, you know what? I would have not lifted a finger for those 3 grown ass men in your household today. They could have made themselves sandwiches or gone to bed hungry. That's my 2 cents about it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. MARY - I'm glad you aren't in much pain. I have no comment for your lazy men. I'll keep praying for good results ♥

    ReplyDelete
  45. SLIN - I saw your pic from dinner. You look fabulous!! Glad you were able to go out to your special place on your birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Mary, Ditto what J/L said about your lazy men. They certainly would have not starved if you didn't cook. I'm glad you're doing OK.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Dianne, when do you leave for your cruise? We definitely need a pic of that bikini!

    ReplyDelete
  48. There is a nice marine layer that's cooling off San Diego nicely. The temps will be in the high 60s until I leave on Monday.

Waving a wing to you all.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Barb...ahhh, high 60's perfect weather for me. We leave very early Monday morning. Come help me pack, please.
The fuzzy bronco bikinis Jodi and I have were a surprise for the Hofest but now that JL guessed them we have to think on a new outfit. I couldn't wear it on cruise alone. I prefer skinny dipping on cruises, if you know what I mean lol it is a little awkward that they always have that pool out in the main area where everyone gathers ...all 4000 of them. I may be able to clear the deck

Mary, you must have pizza delivery in your area. You are a spoiler. I may come live with you. Glad you're. To in much pain.

Jodi..save the bikini for football season now..brr. Early season.

JL..did you obviously have prime rib for dinner? You look great.

Took the oldest GD to dinner last night. The other one just had room painted so was putting room back together but did come out to talk and hug me. Nice dinner with Kayla except she thinks she's in her 20's and that scares the sxxx out of me.

    ReplyDelete
  50. HOdi Thanks. It was a real treat to go there as I hadn't been there since before my husband died.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Barb After the heat wave we were having for a while, it was really lovely to have that marine layer move in. I could feel my skin sigh in relief when it felt the moisture in the air.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Dianne I remember when I was a teenager I thought I knew it all, too. The older I get, the less I know.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Just got back from ny bosses apartment. He had called and asked how things were going while he is gone recruiting for his new store. Made a comment about being thirsty, so I packed up my Spotted Cow and oj and walked over. Thankfully he gave me a ride home. Oh, how I will miss him when he moves to the new store in Madison.

    Have a good night HOoters!!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Mother of Pearl!!! J/L~ I didn't forget ur Birthday~ In fact, I tried and tried and tried to post the happy birthday thingy on the front page, but it just wouldn't go for me!!! I got so stinking frustrated and I was even late for my hair appt! I thought I'd get back to it later, but I didn't get home until 1am~ And I'm just not getting back to my laptop~ I'M SOOOOOOOO SORRY!!!~ Happy Birthday~ When I figure out what is wrong, I'll put it up and you can have another one! :D

    Mary~ How's ur poop shoot?~ :)~

    ReplyDelete
  55. Tina No problem! I don't want another birthday so soon so let's not do it again. They're coming fast enough as it is now.

    LOL @ Mary's poop shoot.

    ReplyDelete
  56. HOdi Flapping a wing at you. Watch out for the wind it's creating.

    ReplyDelete
  57. "Poop shoot"? LOL!!

I am a little sore "down there". Sitting in the salon was a little trying, butt..I survived!
I was feeling kind of good so I took myself out to lunch and did a little shopping. When I got home I saw I had a phone message. It was from my Dr/Surgeon. He wanted me to come in today instead of Monday. Of course my mind started to panic. I called him back, but the office had closed. Now I have to wait until tomorrow to find out what it was about. I hope it was just rescheduling! Kathy (Zona) told me he might have wanted to call to relieve my mind about the lab work, so I am going with that :)

    On to my farm.....

    ReplyDelete
  58. Mary, he's probably just making you not go thru the weekend waiting and worrying. Let us know right away please.

I left a message for my dr at 7:31am today to tell her Louis and I are still sick and what should we do? Never heard a damn word back. I went to,the theater tonight but missed half the show as I coughed so much that I had to leave to the lobby.

I'm still not packed Tomorrow is hair day and pedicure day. Louis is going again for the pedicure. I hope he doesn't groan so loud this time. Lol.

  61. MARY - Glad u survived the salon! And please let us know what the Dr has to say!!

  62. Jake did well at his first track meet since his groin strain. He is released to do the throwing events. He placed 3rd in discus and 2nd in shot put. He also went to tug 'o war practice last night. I'm sure he's tired today!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Got my laundry started as I sip my cawfee this morning.

Have a great day HOoters ♥

    ReplyDelete
  64. Mary I think doctors sometime forget how worried we can be about something like this. Even if it turns out not to be the best news about that tumor, at least it is out now and you are dealing with it. I'll keep you in my prayers.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Dianne What a shame that you had to miss part of the show. Uncontrollable coughs can be embarrassing, I know. I hope you and Louis get something to help alleviate your symptoms before you have to get on the airplane.

    ReplyDelete
  66. HOdi Glad Jake is bouncing back so fast from his injury. He seems to have a lot of energy like his mother.

  67. HOdi Glad Jake is bouncing back so fast from his injury. He seems to have a lot of energy like his mother.

  68. I had to test lol! I have written 2 posts this morning and neither came through :(

I called my Dr. It was just a schedule change do to some change in his surgery plan. Geese, they could have saved me some gray hairs by mentioning that!

Jodi, I am so glad to know Jake is back in sports! Good for him! How is your daughter doing?

Dianne, I will now turn my worrying to you lol! I sure hope you get better before you go on your cruise !

    ReplyDelete
  69. Mary Glad to hear the call was nothing to worry about. Would have been nice if they would have included the reason for the call in the message they left you.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Good morning HOoters. It's another beautiful day in San Diego and I only have three more days here. The pup and I are enjoying the time we have left.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Mary, I'm still praying for a good report from the lab for you.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Jodi, it's so good that Jake is back competing again. I loved watching all my boys' sports events and I bet you do too.

    ReplyDelete
  73. J/L, is your house getting painted yet? I'm thinking of painting just the trim on my house. Maybe a bright color. It is a boring brown and I'm tired of it.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Dianne, I hope the doc can give you something to get rid of that cough before you leave for your cruise.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Barbara_in_WA, are you back in Denver yet?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Well, it's 5:00 and I STILL haven't heard a word from the dr. I called again this AM at 8:45 and reminded them I was leaving town and coughing. I've been carrying my cell phone in my hand everywhere today.nothing. This is so unlike my dr. I don't know what to do. I guess go thru my medicine cabinet. It will be great if this starts up on the plane and Louis isn't even sitting by me. I'm still not packed but hair is done and going for pedicure. I'm bummed.

Mary, glad your call wasn't serious. Think that could have been a message.

Jodi, sounds like Jake is very sports minded and that's really good. Hope he keeps recovering.

Barb, hard to believe it's time for u to come home already. Glad u had good weather. Does SD ever have bad weather?

JL, I hadn't even thought about coughing on the darn plane. Now i have another thing to worry about for a couple of days. Come help me pack. What is wrong with me??

    ReplyDelete
  77. Barb, I completely forgot you were in SD!I have only been there once, but I loved it! where's the puppy picture?

    ReplyDelete
  78. SLIN - Apple doesn't fall far ;)

    ReplyDelete
  79. MARY - Sam is doing well. I picked up Noodles and Company and delivered it to her today for lunch. Two more days and she will get a break. As you know, Mother's Day is a huge holiday for her in the Floral Dept. And shame on the Dr's office for giving you a gray hair! Still sending up prayers for your results ♥

    ReplyDelete
  80. BARB - I love watching my boy! It was amazing watching him at tug 'o war practice last night. He really hung in tough with the big boys. I actually heard one of them say "holy crap....he's only 14?"!!! That's my boy ♥

    ReplyDelete
  81. DIANNE - I guess u could just take a bottle of Jack on the plane with u....you know, for medicinal purposes ;) I think it's just rotten they didn't get back to you!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Mary, I don't think San Diego ever has bad weather. It barely ever gets over high 80s in the summer. The kids never use their heater in the winter and they don't have a/c at all.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Dianne, You should call the doc again. He must have someone on call after hours that could help you. Impress upon them the urgency of your problem!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Well, they finally called and left a message at 6pm tonight that they were calling in prednisone for me and to have a great trip. Finally.....I think I will take that whiskey, Jodi

  85. Barb, I would love that kind of weather! Here, one day we have the heat on, and the next the air conditioner!

Dianne, finally! Take your meds, rest as much as you can and you should be good by Monday :)

My "sit-me-down" is sore today! It's that "itchy, burning, healing" kind of thing going on! I may have to "lube up" tonight lol!!! TMI???

    ReplyDelete
  86. Barb Sounds like you're having a nice vacation in San Diego. I haven't been there in a long time. It's a very nice place.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Dianne Yay for hearing back from the doctor! I hope you are lots better by the time you leave for your vacation.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Mary I hope you're able to soothe that little butt of yours.

  89. What's everyone doing today? It's a lovely day, in the low 60's with a bit of a breeze. I think I'll be playing catch up with laundry and housework. Not exciting but I've kind of been letting it slide this week.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I did my laundry yesterday SLIN. Work was crazy busy today. We nearly ran out of cash before I went to the bank. Big city wide garage sales here today. Plus temps in the mid 60's and sunshine. Gonna tap a short nap. I feel like my shift was a sprint!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Had my nails done, got gas, went to bank now home to maybe pack. I'm freaking out. They re saying u usual snowstorm tomorrow with 9" of snow. We have a busy day tomorrow meeting my son and the going to my daughters BUT what if I can't fly out Monday morning and miss the whole cruise. As if I wasn't worried about a million other things right now. Pray for sun for us please!!

    ReplyDelete
  92. Dianne I guess it wouldn't help you out in the case of the snow but I find it worth the price of an overnight stay in the city of embarkation just so I can get there one day early and not worry about delayed flights, lost luggage, or any of those other mishaps. By the way, you wouldn't miss the whole cruise because I'm sure you get get a flight to the first port and get on there.

    ReplyDelete
  93. JL...you washing skills are getting like Tina's !!

Well. If it was winter I would have done that we leaving a day early whoa is me. On a positive note, I'm almost done packing except for formal night tops

    ReplyDelete
  94. Dianne You always stress so much about packing but it always works out fine. On a worrisome note, I did see on the news about the bad weather coming to you. Hopefully, it will all be over by th time you leave.

    ReplyDelete
  95. JL....quit making me worry. You are supposed to be calming me

    ReplyDelete
  96. DIANNE - Praying for sun! What color did you get on your nails?

    ReplyDelete
  97. SLIN - So....u got to ride the spin cycle twice? ;)

  98. Happy Mother's Day to the best bunch of Mutha's I know....love u all ♥

    ReplyDelete
  99. Happy Mother's Day to you all. Thinking of each and everyone of you.

Jodi, it's a pretty color kind of a med taupe. I had a hard time deciding if I should go color or pink and white but I'm liking the color for a change.

I'm so relieved to be all packed. Now if I didn't have to stress about weather, I would be 50% stress free ...maybe. Keep praying. , thanks Jodi

Back to bed just up to cough and go potty

    ReplyDelete
  100. Happy Mother's Day! I hope everyone has a lovely stress-free day.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Hi everyone....hope you are all having a nice day.

I went to church with son and his family and then we went to my daughters for brunch. The kids were all sweet and it was so nice just to be our small group. It was a nice day.

It's been raining/snowing all day but they are saying big snow tonight. My ex SIL is picking us up at 5am tomorrow and I pray those planes are flying.

JL...you're not washing more water today are you?

    ReplyDelete
  102. SLIN - As stress free as work can be ;-) Paul and Jake stopped into the store on the way to church. Boy, my boy looked good! He had his black shirt and pants and hs red tie on that he is wearing for 8th Grade Formal. Wow!! Paul left a card and hazelnut chocolates for me. Pretty sweet. He knows how hard this day is for me.

    ReplyDelete
  103. DIANNE - Your color sounds nice!! Sending more prayers for your flight tomorrow. Have a wonderful cruise. Can't wait to see pics :-)

    ReplyDelete
  104. Happy Mother,s Day to you all.

Todd and Vicki are home from Hawaii, so I'll be flying home tomorrow.

Hope you all had a good day.

    ReplyDelete
  105. HOdi I'm sure your boy looked very handsome. Sweet of Paul to bring you candy. Sweets for the sweet. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  106. Dianne and Barb Wishing you both safe flights tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  107. It was a beautiful day here. Didn't do anything special; enjoyed the weather, played with the dog. Got calls from my kids today and beautiful flowers from my daughter.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Happy Mother's Day BARB! Safe travels today ♥

    ReplyDelete
  109. SLIN - No flowers here. I need to go to Kopke's Greenhouse and get geraniums for my planters this week.

    ReplyDelete
  110. MARY - Let us know what the doc has to say so I can uncross my titties ;)

    ReplyDelete
  111. I now have an appmt with a different surgeon this coming Thurs. Not sure what happened to mine. I think I will call the office tomorrow to see if they have my results. This waiting is driving me nuts!
We are having some bad weather going through today. This morning the thunder was loud! We got a lot of rain. My hubby and sons are trying to build a wrap around deck and this is holding things up.

    ReplyDelete
  112. MARY - Wow...can't believe they are keeping you hanging like that! Bad storms here yesterday, too. Paul and I went to Jake's track meet. Started raining on and off when we first got there. Jake got a personal record in the discus before the lightening stopped the meet. 113.1 feet!!

    ReplyDelete
  113. I know most of you have seen this on FB but thought I would put it here anyway.
"I just talked to my surgeon..no cancer in the polyp or small tumor he removed!!!!"

While that is wonderful news, my hubby just got back from finding out about his stress test results. The Dr said he showes signs of heart disease. He will be having more test done.

Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers!

    ReplyDelete
  114. HOdi Congrats to Jake! That boy rocks it, whatever he does.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Mary So glad you got good results from your surgeon. Sorry that you're hubby's results weren't as good as yours. Technically, I have chronic heart failure which is why I have such trouble with swelling ankles. It's all tied into the CPOD which I have because I was such a heavy smoker for so many years, as is Jim. One day at a time, as they say. He could go on just fine for decades just as I have. (((HUGS)))

    ReplyDelete
  116. Thanks JL, you sure made me feel better. Sorry that you have to go through it. Take good care of yourself!

BTW TINA!! New post please! I hate scrolling so far lol!!!

    ReplyDelete
  117. MARY - Doing a happy dance for u!!!

    ReplyDelete
  118. SLIN - He definitely has the gift for sports!

    ReplyDelete
  119. It was a hot one here today and it's expected to be hotter tomorrow. I sat out on the deck for a while and got a bit sunburned. My upper arms haven't seen the sun in decades. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  120. Barb I saw on the news tonight that there is a big fire in SD. I hope it is far away from your son's place.

    ReplyDelete
  121. SLIN - Definitely not hot here. We are expecting highs in the 50's the next few days :-(

    ReplyDelete
  122. BARB - Is your son ok? I got a text from my cousin that lives in SD, and fires both near his home and work. He and is family are at an evacuation center tonight. The pics he sent were crazy!!

    ReplyDelete
  123. I just got another text from my cousin. They are safe and at his wife's boss' home. So scary. 2 evacuations in 1 day.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Not "hot" here in Michigan either! Frost warnings for tonight :(
The rain is relentless! The guys are trying to finish our new wrap around deck. It sure is turning into a big money pit lol! It will look great when all done. I have been trying to get this done for years! Now that Jim has two sons on hand, and willing to do it, he is "full steam ahead!"

I have a 1:30 appt with my arse Dr. I hope he is just going to ask how I am doing and not look up my hooha! LOL!!

I sure wish I could divert some of this rain to San Diego! I can't imagine having to be evacuated and afraid to lose your home/property!
Have a great day everyone :)

    ReplyDelete
  125. J/L & Jodi, My son is safe so far. Thanks for asking. The fires are not too close to where he lives, but they have friends who may soon be in jeopardy and they are at the ready to go help. Two years ago, when there was a big fire, they had to help another friend evacuate. They did lose their house. The problem now, as it was then, is the Santa Ana winds that get so strong, plus the terrain is so dry due to lack of rain. I'm just praying for the safety of everyone in that area.

Friday morning I am driving to Ventura, which is right below Santa Barbara. There are two wildfires in Santa Barbara right now and I hope it isn't close to the freeway we will be driving. It's time for the annual "retreat" of the Catholic School girls. This year we will be remembering Margaret, who passed away in November. It is certainly a cause for reflection when it is someone you have known since childhood and is the same age. It's a reminder to be sure and tell those you love, EVERYDAY, how much they mean to you.

    ReplyDelete
  126. HOdi So scary about your cousin. I hope his home and place of employment are spared. The fires are just horrible.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Mary We've had temps near 90 for the last two days. I think it will be a little cooler today. I slept 10 hrs each of the last two nights. The sudden heat has really sapped my energy. I did sit out in it for a while and got a bit of a sunburn.

Here's hoping nobody is looking up your arse today. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  128. Barb So glad your son isn't too close to the fires. I hear that the winds are not as bad today so that's a break. You be careful on that drive to Ventura.

    ReplyDelete
  129. MARY - Hope your appointment goes well!

    ReplyDelete
  130. BARB - Safe travels. I'm glad you and your friends will have this time together!

    ReplyDelete
  131. SLIN - I haven't heard an update from Stan. Praying that no news is good news :)

    ReplyDelete
  132. SLIN - I texted my cousin last night. He isn't able to go home or to work yet, but their spirits are up.

    ReplyDelete
  133. DIANNE - Hoping you are enjoying your cruise!!

    ReplyDelete
  134. What's everyone doing this weekend?

    ReplyDelete
  135. Lovely day today; about 70 with a little breeze. Took the dog for a nice walk on the levee. A good day to watch and listen to the waves. Very relaxing.

  136. SLIN - New blog was posted....just sayin'!!
