  4. LOL J/L.

I'm busy packing. Leaving for Santa Maria and Solvang tomorrow. Family Reunion this weekend, then to Solvang for a girls get-away with my sisters-in-law and two of the Hubby's cousins. Be back a week from Sunday.

  5. HOdi How did your team do? Did you wear tassels or cheese?

  6. It was very hot today. I looked forward to coming home from southern California because it had been so hot there but apparently I brought the heat home with me. It was 94 here today on the coast and it's supposed to be 95 tomorrow. Geez! Where's the fog when you need it?

  7. SLIN - Wish I hadn't fallen asleep. Packers won! 42-10! Evidently the Vikings are wussies and can't play in the rain ;) Ha!!

p.s. No tassels or cheese needed!

  8. BARB - Enjoy the Family Reunion and your girls get-away! Safe travels lady!

  9. Raining here this morning. A real turn around in our weather. Only expected to get into the 50's this weekend. But I don't care. Leaving after work for a weekend in the sticks! Wheeeeeeee!!!

  10. I should have named my sons "Planes" and "Trains" since I love to travel lol!

Jodi, how did the Kwik clean" thing go? Our weather is rain, rain, and more rain! Turning colder tomorrow.

JL, I will try to blow a little cool air your way, if you blow some warm this way lol!

SacB. where is "Solvang?" sounds like another country lol!

    Dianne, where are you??

    BTW, our Tigers suck!!! :(

  11. MARY - Considering we really weren't as prepared as we could have been, I think we were all happy with the 97.75! Colder here, too. Boo!!

  12. Sipping coffee in a quiet house in the sticks. We had so much fun last night! Picked Andrea up from the train, went out to a very remote bar that had fabulous fried chicken for dinner, stopped at the liquor store and then played Cards Against Humanity! I threw in the towel just past 11 pm, but everyone else was up past 3 am. Andrea wants to go see the penis church today before she heads back.

  13. HOdi I love fried chicken and haven't had really good friend chicken in years.

Everyone should stand at the head of the penis church at least once, right?

  14. Mary Solvang is located in Santa Barbara County and was settled by Danish. There is a lot of Danish architecture there and gift shops and Danish bakeries, as I remember it. Very cute town.

  15. Barb I hope your family reunion is going well and that it isn't too hot. It is cooling of a bit here. Yay!

  16. Mary, I'm here. Seems like I've been in and out a lot this week. If you can believe it..I've been to the Coach store four times!!!! I love going there. I ended up taking a purse back and getting a different one in a really pretty teal green. We originally went monday night to get kayla her first little purse for her 16th birthday this week but Tammy and I both had to shop too.

We've had beautiful fall weather all week in the 70's. Went to my grandsons 9 am game today and they won. Back to Coach to get a matching wallet for my bday but they sold it..sniff.

Jodi..good win the other night. That game was kind of boring with that high score. We play undefeated Arizona tomorrow. Going to a Bronco party too Drive safe home and tell Kim hi.

Barb, have a fun trip. You must be a good packer. I love girl trips.

JL..boy, that is really hot for you area, isn't it? I dont like fall to be hot. Hows your shoulder doing? Are you more comfortable now?

Mary, did you say you planned more trips? Where and when? I want to go. Is it cold there now? They say you are going to have a snowy winter. It says we are going to have a colder one. I bought a new jacket. I hate wearing a coat but thought I needed something and I wont wear my heavy ones. I just carry them around in my car all winter.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Dianne LOL @ you carrying around your coats in your car all winter.

My shoulder is getting better and belated thank you for the cute card. I can now raise my arm all the way up without assistance from my other arm. It still is a bit of a strain to lift something to put away in a cupboard but improving all the time. I have been doing my arm exercises religiously and have a PT appointment Monday so we shall see what they have to say.

  18. Dianne, I am going to Spain next month. Not warm like Hawaii lol! I just got my tickets, but have to change something on our return. My girlfriend failed to tell me some important info as far as a connection to Spain from where we are staying! I am hoping miss Tina can unravel the mess! We will be gone 11 days, Jim freaks after a week! Oh well lol! It's too far to go to stay such a short time.

Jodi, Burrrrrr, we woke up to snow/sleet on the ground! I am so not ready for this!!

JL, Solvang sounds like a great place to visit. Around here we have a lot of "Hollanders" in Grand Rapids.

  19. What's everyone up to? It was an uneventful day here. It's still warm in the Bay Area but there was fog hanging over the coastline so that cooled things down a bit here. It was still warm, just not as warm as it might have been. I had lunch with a friend and bought a new dog toy for Ursula. Otherwise, pretty laid back day today. Monday afternoon I see a physical therapist. I'm quite pleased with my progress so far.

  20. SLIN - It was so good!! We also had awesome onion rings and deep fried mushrooms! And the penis church was a no go. The others didn't get up and going til it was too late. I guess Andrea will have to get her fix next time ;)

  21. DIANNE - Thanks! Congrats on the Broncos win....woot woot!! How was the party? Made it home just fine, and LOIS says Hi back to all you HOoters!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. MARY - LOIS's son saw flurries on his way home from work early Saturday morning. Windier than all get out and cloudy on Saturday. It was nice to see the sun yesterday!!

  23. SLIN - So proud of you!! I hope your PT appointment went well today :)

  24. Just waiting for Sam to get home from work. We are in the middle of our pizza sale and our limited time pizza is Bratwurst Pizza. I'm going to go pick one up for supper. I had tried a slice last week and it was really good!!

Have a good night HOoters ♥

  25. HOdi My PT appointment went really well. She gave me a couple of new exercises to do for my shoulder as I still can't reach up behind my back to do something like hook my bra. She also gave me some exercises that will hopefully help with the occasional simultaneous numbness and "on fire" burning that I get in my left thigh. This seems to be caused by a pinched nerve. She spent some time pushing and massaging areas on my back and I tell you, there was not a spot that didn't hurt. If another area of my body was that tight, I'd be a virgin again, js.

    ReplyDelete
  26. SLIN - Good job lady!! Now that would be a neat trick. Ha!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Well the Bratwurst Pizza was not a hit with my boys, especially Jake. It had a creamy mustard sauce, and he is not a fan. Paul seemed to like it. He at least ate a couple of slices. I only work til 10 am today. Sam has today off, and I promised her I'd take her shopping for new work shoes. Will probably do lunch, too.

    ReplyDelete
  28. HOdi I must admit, bratwurst pizza doesn't sound very appetizing to me. Then again, I'm not a very adventurous eater.

  29. Where is everyone? I had dinner at the Olive Garden with a friend. I love that Zuppa Toscana. I've been doing my PT exercises. Otherwise, pretty low key day today. I hope you all are well.

  30. Waving a wing from bed. Vicks is slathered on my chest and under my nose, drinking plenty of water, and ibuprofen taken. Trying to keep this at bay. I have two more days of work, and no one to call to cover for me. Ugh!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. HOdi I feel so bad for you. I hope you're able to shake this.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Thanks SLIN! At least my kids and hubby are pretty self sufficient, and I can get the rest I need :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Helloooo!

JL, I love the Olive Garden! I had lunch with my ex coworkers today at a popular pizza/bar restaurant. It was quite a drive. We meet at different places once a month. It is always fun being with them. They always make my day. Some are getting ready to head south for the winter. I won't be able to see them at our regular luncheon next month, because I will be in Spain.

Hodi! so sorry you are sick!!I hope you don't spread it far and wide at work! Take care of yourself!

Waving at Dianne & the Barbs~~~~~~

  34. MARY - I blame LOIS! She kissed me when I got to her house last Friday! And most people at work have already had this, too! It's great that you still meet up with your co-workers! Glad you enjoyed your lunch :)

  35. Well, the Vicks, green tea, Emergen-C, Sudafed, and rest are doing the trick. Still have a head full of snot, but it's moving. Sneezing my fool head off, but I don't feel any worse. Thankfully it's my weekend off again, so I can concentrate on getting better this weekend.

  36. Hellooooo HOters!

I am back from my little adventure. The family reunion was nice. The drama queens all stayed home so we really had a good time.

Solvang was fun, too. The first three days my two sisters-in-law and two of my Hubby's cousins were there and we played cards and drank a lot of wine. On Wednesday, it was only one SIL and me and on Thursday three of my SIL's classmates came in and we partied all over again. We were out of wine, so we went to a winery and did some wine tasting and bought some wine to take back to the condo. I also got some Blueberry wine to take home. It is sooo good. J/L, you would like it. Maybe I can save one of the bottles for Feb. and we can drink it when you come here.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Jodi, I hope you are getting over the creeping crud or what ever you have.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Mary, when do you leave for Spain? I would love to go there someday, but it probably won't happen.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Dianne, LOL at your many trips to Coach. I've only been in a Coach store once in Hawaii and I couldn't afford anything they had in there.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Barbara_in_WA_now_CO, How's the new house?

  41. BARB - Welcome back! Sounds like you had a fun trip! BTW....You are a blog behind.
