  2. Dianne Not much going on today. Had lunch with a friend and played with the dog a bit. It sprinkled for a while. Sure wish we'd get some real rain.

Garth Brooks is the reason I started to be able to stomach country music a little tiny bit. LOL

  3. HOdi It sounds like a good time was had by all. I went to see the movie McFarland last night with friends. It was very good and uplifting.

  4. Here yah are!
    Loved the song and vid!

I have done 5 miles a day for 6 days! My son scolded me today and said that was way too much for me! He said 5,000 steps a day is plenty lol! He may be right, I don't want to injure anything lol! I only have 5,00 steps so far today. I may shoot for 8,000 a day next week.

No Garth this year, but doing Tim McGraw in July :)

I am soooo getting the itch to travel again! My hubby laughs at me when I tell him I would love to be flying somewhere! Nothing planned so far except a family reunion on Jim's side. There will be visitors from as far as Finland. Thanks to FB, there was a connection made from his Finnish relatives. They are the ones arranging the reunion. It will be near where Jim and his siblings were born in the Upper Peninsula.

    Have a great week everyone!

  5. Mary, get a room on my may 15 cruise. You can buy one get one half price if you have an interested friend. It's not too late. Maybe JL would be willing to double up with you.
Your walking is really great but your son might be right. You sure don't want to injure yourself.

Barb, are you okay? I'm getting worried about you. I hope you are well to be out and about.

Tina, I love the video today. Fun.

JL, I saw McFarland too. I really enjoyed the movie. I thought it was uplifting too. It's fun to know its a true story too.

Mary#2,,,I think Tim is coming here this summer and you can bet I'll be trying to get tickets to that show. I try to go to all his shows. Garth is getting great reviews here on his shows. I'm looking forward to going with Tammy.

Jodi, I went to lunch today and had fried cheese curds. Boy were they good. New appetizer on Old Chicago menu.

Tomorrow I have to call on the air conditioner. They will think I'm crazy but it's not working and they say 80's this weekend. Cold and rainy/snow middle of the week.

I finally got both suitcases unpacked and laundry done.
One thing done. Now I have to work on getting the old refrig emptied somewhat.

Louis is feels better today. He is finally pretty up mood wise knowing he has them summer off for the first time and retiring in a year. It's nice to see the bounce in his step again.

  8. MARY - I'd "do" Tim McGraw anytime ;) I had no idea Jim was a Yupper! The reunion sounds great. I've been so fortunate to re-connect with family on FB, too!

  9. DIANNE - Yay for fried cheese curds! The bar/restaurant Tim works at does them the best I've ever had. They are hand battered and oh so yummy! Their buffalo cheese curds are my favorite!! I'm glad that Louis is feeling better and it made me smile to think of his "bounce"! Ha!!

  10. Mary Good for you for getting your steps in. Sounds like you are really dedicated. Be sure you don't hurt yourself, though.

I know what you mean about wanting to be flying somewhere. I had the same thought today as I watched a plane fly overhead and I was wondering where it was off to.

  11. Yesterday was a very tiring 4 hour shift. Actually ended up being 4 1/2 hours. Milissa had come in yesterday to scan the store because we have inventory today and you need to have the correct price tags out. She had gotten everything scanned except for the cooler. After I helped Jessica figure out where she went wrong with the books, I had to submit them and drop the deposit off at the bank. I then scanned the cooler, printed all the tags we needed, fixed the out of stocks and did my coffee order. When I texted Milissa this information I thought she might be pissed that I was there late. Wrong. She literally said "You are amazing!! I wish I could put you in a machine and duplicate you"!!! Not a bad compliment.

  12. Dianne I forget where your upcoming cruise is to and is it on Princess?

  13. SLIN!!! I hope I didn't step on you!!

  14. HOdi Looks like you popped in while I was typing. You so deserve every compliment you get at work. They are very, very lucky to have you.

  15. My nephew James came into my store yesterday morning! He is home on Spring Break. I can't wait to have dinner with him on Tuesday.

  16. Thanks SLIN! Just doing my job :)

  17. Barb Where are you? I hope you are feeling better. Hey, it actually rained here for a while tonight. Now if it could just do that every night for the next month or two......

  18. Best go hoist and rinse!!

Have a great week HOoters ♥

  19. Hi All.....Barb, come out come out wherever you are!

Jodi.you are a great worker. You're so dedicated and I'll bet you're fun to work with too. I'll have to come visit and have some cheese curds with you. I don't think you can mail them!!

JL, we are going back to Alaska. No, not Princess this year after last years experience. We are going Royal Carribean. We've cruised with them once and liked them. Can you and Mary join us?

Went shoe shopping today. I have to get very expensive ugly shoes with my leg issues. I hate buying them. Heck. I would rather go Coach shopping.

  20. DIANNE - That would be fabulous!! I can remember when I was little. I had to wear corrective shoes because I walked my feet in. I thought they were so ugly and felt so bad because they were expensive. I agree. I'd much rather invest in a nice bag. Go Coach!!! lol!!

  21. Hi, HOoters! I'm on standby for jury duty today. I have to call in in about an hour to see if I have to appear or not. I'm hoping I don't have to. I hope you all have a great day today.

  22. SLIN - So what's the verdict? It's been a busy day already. I dropped Jake off at school, got the Pimpala washed, got coffee at Alex's store, worked, attended shift leader meeting, now at Jake's pt appt, and then he has a chiropractor appt, all before going to dinner with my nephew James. Whew!

  23. HOdi I didn't have to go to jury duty but I've fulfilled my obligation until next year. Yay!

Not much happening here. Had breakfast out, got air in a tire that was looking low, and went grocery shopping. I've been throwing the ball for the dog and now feel like I need a pick-me-up so am making some coffee. I seem to hit a real energy slump around this time each day. I know you have no time for such things. LOL

  24. Dianne, Alaska?? I need warmth, sand, sea and sunshine!A cabana boy or two wouldn't "hoit". Glad your honey is feeling better!
I bet you loved Garth tonight!I didn't realize it was hi final show.

Jody, good think you're still a spring chicken! I remember all that running around with work and kids activities!

JL,I have slowed down on my walking. I barley made 5,000 steps today.

Have any of you ever gotten up in the morning with horrific breast and shoulder pain? I did this morning! I did a boo boo and ate nachos w/beans before going to bed! I have been trying to break up the gas all day! Good thing I was home alone lol! I was afraid to eat anything for fear it would last longer! Never again! Oh and I had eaten a very, very chocolatey peice of cake too!!!

    Barb,where are you???

    ReplyDelete
  25. Mary, I agree with your son, don't overdo the walking. I think riding my stationary bike angered my sciatic nerve and I have been miserable for days. It seemed to be calming down, so I thought it was OK to start riding again - guess I was wrong!

  26. J/L, I wish it would rain or even sprinkle here. They got rain north of us and in the Sierra, but it went right over our valley! :( So, you didn't have to go to jury duty! Are you happy about that?

  27. Jodi, It's really nice that your supervisor knows how how hard you work and appreciates it. It makes it worth while.

  28. Dianne, Here I am! I have been spending a lot of time in bed nursing my bum leg. I have emailed my doc telling him I have to do something else because the drugs he gave me are not working. Hopefully he will have a miracle cure! I am really getting tired of this!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Mary I can't say that I have woken up with bad shoulder and breast pain. Is it all worked out now? I suspect you slept in an odd position. As for the gas.....have you worked that out as well? Good thing Jim wasn't home lighting up a smoke. You might have blown up the house. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  30. Barb You must be soooo tired of the sciatica problem. I'm so sorry you are still going through this after all this time. As for the jury duty, yes I'm glad I didn't have to go in. It is always for the Superior Court in Redwood City which is in the opposite end of the county from me. Those times I have had to go in, I have sat all day long reading and never even been asked in for questioning. It makes for a very long day.

  31. JL, glad you are done with Jury duty!
The pain finally left this afternoon! I will never eat that late and lay down soon after again!
That was horrible! I couldn't even take deep breaths without hurting! I sneezed and it was sooo painful! Nix-on-the-late-night-beans lol!!! Poor Zoie was subject to my bean bombs !!

Barb, Sorry about your sciatica hanging around so long. I remember them well from work! Have you tried laying down with a tennis ball pressing on your sciatic (butt?)

Heading to bed. I will sleep a lot better tonight without the nasty pain.

  32. Hi..Garth and Trisha Yearwood were so great. As I said, I'm not a huge fan but more now. His concert went from 7:30-10:45. When band on break, he played and sang. Trisha gave him a 30min break while she performed..Two encores. My son runs the police units there and said he was the nicest performer he's ever met. Thanked the police afterwards, the stage hands, etc. He also kept his ticket prices lower than most and added nine shows when he kept selling out. Todd said he was very down to earth, soooo I've changed my mind and I would highly recommend to go if you get a chance. It was a lot of fun. I sang all night!

Mary, I get a pain in my shoulder and heart sometimes. I call it gas in my heart. It hurts and you kind of want to have gas. I wonder if that's kind of the same? Nothing in my tummy though.

Barb, I'm really sorry you are hurting so much. Do you have any relief? Can the dr give you a shot or anything?

Jodi, what's on the agenda for this week? I'm sure you have a busy week. We were supposed to get new refrigerator Saturday but they called today and said it was back ordered until next Friday. Disappointing .

We Are back to nice weather after a little dribble of snow yesterday.
