  3. I think I inhaled!!The Cheech and Chong bit cracked me up!
    Smokin'!!

Now that reminded me of what happened New Years Eve. I was in our basement getting my equipment around for the NYE party at the VFW. I kept hearing a squeak. I was hoping it wasn't my new speakers! I turned everything off and still heard the squeak! All of a sudden I heard a males voice say very eerily "smokin'!" I looked around to see if Jim was there. Nope, just me in the basement alone!
I went upstairs and told Jim what happened. He looked at me like I was nuts and offered to check it out. We heard more squeaks. All of a sudden we both heard the "voice!" Jim looked at me funny and started to investigate. He found the "voice" behind a large picture I have sitting on the fireplace. It was a voice activated smoke alarm that was in dire need of batteries lol!!! DUH!!

  4. Mary LOL @ your talking smoke alarm! I guess it can talk all it wants but you have to be willing to listen. :)

  5. Oh gosh that blog was funny!

Mary, here's the deal. I had a pacemaker sort of thing put in my left butt cheek. It sends signals between my brain and bladder to stop urgency and leakage. I have a remote with a little paddle on it that I put over incision and turn up the strength until I finally get to a point it's working all the time. You are supposed to feel a vibration (mild) In what they call your bicycle area and then u try that setting in see if it works. Hospital did original setting on it but everyone is different. It's much less evasive than full bladder lifting.

I would be freaking if I was hearing a squeak and a voice. I might have been afraid it was a mouse squeaking. I've never heard of a talking smoke alarm. Louis might have shot it!!

Watched a playoff game tonight and boy was it exciting. Cincinnati die about five personal fowls and about knocked a guys head off. They say he will be suspended plus he lost it by a point for them. Their fans were throwing bottles at the Pittsburgh players and when their QB got hurt and taken on a stretcher out..they cheered and threw bottles at him. Terrible. They deserved to lose. Now we play Pittsburgh next week. It was pouring rain too.

Finally got our Christmas things put away today. Whew, I'm glad to have that done.

  6. Dianne Here I am! Can you see me waving?

Well, it sounds like the Cincinnati fans really suck! What bad sportsmanship! Our team was so lousy this year that I didn't pay any attention to football. Maybe I'll watch the Super Bowl, maybe not.

I hope your butt is feeling better and that the device works for you and does what it's supposed to. Amazing what they can do these days.

We're supposed to have more rain coming today but not too much. I guess another storm will be arriving Tuesday night. I hope my yard has a chance to dry out a little.

  7. Thanks for 'splainin' that Dianne! I had never heard of it. I better keep doing my va JJ exercises lol!! I wear a light pants liner in case of excessive laughter! @@

JL. we got a lot of rain, which is now turning into a lot of snow! I need to run to town to mail my Gr Niece Krista's up coming Birthday. The roads look clear today after snowing almost 24hrs! It was light so not a lot of accumulation. We are supposed to get at least 3-4" tonight depending on which way Dianne and Hodi blow their shit lol!!!

    Later.....

  8. Dianne, I'm not sure if I would want to have a device like that in my butt cheek, but I guess it would depend on how severe the pee problem was. One of my employees had an urgency problem every time she had to pee and her doctor just gave her a pill for it. Of course, that was over 15 years ago, when I was still working. I can't believe I have been retired for 15 years!

  10. I have workmen in my kitchen again today, building a new cabinet. No, they are not hunky! I have to leave them alone for a little while today because I have a nail appointment. I considered changing it, but I decided I would just have to trust them. My kitties are NOT happy because this is the second day they have had to stay in the laundry room. Yesterday they were quiet, but this morning I have heard Mellie meowing and I feel so badly that I have to confine them. But, it's for their safety because there are tools and other stuff all over the kitchen floor. Plus, as curious as they are, they would probably bother the workers. I hope they finish today!

  11. J/L, This is an interesting season for the Bachelor, don't you think? Ben is so cute and he really seems like a nice guy. I hope he finds someone who is really nice, too, and not just there for the fun of it. Although, I don't know if that's possible with all the cameras around!

  12. Well, did Dianne and HOdi send their shit your way? We had some pretty strong winds and rain during the night that kept waking me up. I was glad to see I don't have any big branches down off my trees. I see blue skies now but I guess more rain is coming tomorrow and maybe a random sprinkle or two during the rest of the day. I thought we were going to have heavy rain today so my plan was to hunker down and stay inside. Now I feel guilty like I should go out and do something. Rats! LOL

  13. Barb Hopefully, there will be a good match for Ben on the Bachelor. Once we get the crazies weeded out, anyway. I can't believe he still has Lace there. Maybe he feels sorry for her.

  14. Dianne, Hodi and Missy Tina..."Uncle!" I know it's winter and all that, but did you have to send it non stop for days on end??? The temps have dropped too!
We had to physically drag our Lab in the house! She just can't seem to understand the danger of the night temps! She is old,can barely see or hear! She's still well enough to romp in the snow and follow us on our walks. We give her special pills for her arthritis. In the winter we put her house on the deck by the front door with a heat lamp on all the time because she is so stubborn about coming in!

I had lunch with me old co workers and did some shopping. Wed I have a hair apptmt. I sure hope the weather co operates because it is in the city!
    which seems to help.

  15. Helloooo. My new kitchen cabinet cabinet is done and I am very pleased. Now, all I have to do is put everything back, but first I have to decide how I want to organize it. They put a BIG scratch in the paint on one of the walls, (I don't know how), but they pointed it out to me and said they would fix it. I don't have any extra paint for that wall because it was done when I had the remodel done six years ago, but somehow they matched it and it looks like new. I also had a drawer in my big china cabinet that had a broken slide and I asked one of the guys if he could fix it. He did and then told me not to mention it on the survey they send out, because they are not supposed to do that. Oops. I didn't know it would get him in trouble or I wouldn't have asked.

We have had rain off and on all week. No one is complaining. We need a lot more snow in the mountains. The runoff in the spring is what we depend on for our water supply. All this rain has helped a lot, but apparently we need a lot more to reverse the effects of the drought.

I hope everyone is OK and you are all out having fun.
