This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Dianne Thanks for the blog and the chuckle this morning. What would we do for blogs if it wasn't for you?
I know you are nervous about being knocked out on Friday for your dental work. As I've mentioned before, I find dental visits to be highly anxiety provoking. Being knocked out completely might have been a blessing to me. I did used to get gas which did help some. Try to look forward to how it will be when you're all done.
Yesterday I had my annual physical with my doctor. For some reason my blood pressure was up and they took it twice so she's increasing my blood pressure medication as I had been on the tiniest dose possible. I have to go back in 2 weeks and have my BP checked again and also do blood work and get another pneumonia vaccine. Once upon a time, I had blood pressure that was unusually low. What happened to those days?
Dianne, That was very funny. Thanks for sending it to Tina. So is your laundry done? I have been home almost a week and I haven't done my laundry yet. I am not at the point where I have to go commando, so I am still ok! Luckily, I don't have other people depending on me for clean clothes and as long as I have clean underwear, I am good to go! I have quite a few sets of undies because I got a bunch to take to Australia. I wasn't sure how often we would be able to do laundry and I wanted to be covered for any emergency! LOL
It sounds like you had a really good trip. Glad Louis had a good time too. Anything new on the Kayla front? I am still praying that she finds a positive direction in her life.
J/L, I was all set to watch the Bachelorette last night and forgot the basketball game was going to be on instead. I did get caught up on the episodes I missed and I can't believe they let the Chad thing go on for so long. That guy is seriously psychotic! And now it looks like he has come back to terrorize the group.
I LOL'd at Ursula snoring. My kittie, Tara, has allergies and she snores very softly, but it is definitely a snore!
I haven;t forgotten you, I have been Jammin' lol! I have been on the run a lot and getting ready to head out soon. I will catch up on area 51 later. Have a great day!
Hello, HOoters. How is everyone today? It was a really nice day but they keep saying we are going to get a little rain in the early morning and then it will be hot for the weekend. Well, it never gets that hot here on the coast but the inland areas will have a hot weekend.
I went to take the dog for a walk around the neighborhood today but cut it short when I realized I didn't bring any poop bags with me. The only other time that I forgot bags was the one time she had to poop during our walk. That's Murphy's Law for you.
Hi....well, tomorrow is my major dental surgery and I'm very scared. I hope I wake up from it. I'm just really nervous about the whole process and the after part. It's gross to me.
Our air conditioner is still broken and today it was 100 degrees outside. We finally found someone that will come tomorrow afternoon. I hope it won't be to expensive but this is miserable right now.
Barb, thanks for asking. Kayla is at home but quit her job after two weeks with no notice because Jake-ass told her too. He says he's a manager at Village Inn and Walmart now...liar!! She's heading down a very scary path and we are all so worried about her. Thank you for the prayers.
JL, sounds like you are getting out with the dog quite abit lately. Great exercise. I gained a lot of weight on vacation. I'm hoping a lot of it is from the swelling in my legs.
Dianne I'm sorry you are feeling so anxious about tomorrow and I truly sympathize with that. Just keep your thoughts on how nice it will be to have this done and behind you. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.
I am trying to be more active and get my butt off of this chair. I also signed up with Weight Watchers online a few weeks ago. Monday was my 3 week weight in and I was down 7 1/4 lbs but Tuesday night I went into SF with John and Jane for cheesesteaks, curly fries, and Coke. LOL That made me regain 1 1/2 lbs. I've lost a pound of it as of this morning. Tomorrow night we three are going up to Mill Valley to a very nice Italian restaurant for John's birthday dinner. This will not be one of my better weight loss weeks, that's for sure. LOL
J/L, Have you talked to Lynn, lately? She has been doing the WW online thing too and had lost about 30 lb. I think. I have been thinking about it ever since she told me about it. I was waiting until I got back from SD, but I still havent't started it! I really need to get on the ball!
Dianne, I see via FB,that you made it through ok on your surgery. I agree, the recovery part of any surgery can be rough. You have a cute nurse lol!
JL, I hate when I forget those dam poopie bags! One time I ran back to my Jeep and grabbed an old plastic shopping bag lol! I am a bit of a fanatic about poop in our yard, mind you, we live on 5 acres. I have been to peoples homes who have so much poop in the yard that you can barley make it to their front door! I was so disgusted one time, that I told her how unsanitary it was and hinted to at least teach the 3 bulldogs to poop in one spot lol! If I am too far from the house and Zoie does her business, I mark the spot some how (Kleenex, sticks etc)and head back with a pooper scoper lol!
SacBarb,I did put up pics of before and after a while ago.You must have missed them. I am trying to get your "commando" vision out of my head lol!!
Jodi, what's up with your therapy? I hope you have a better session next time. I wonder if your BP, went up from the therapy?
Tomorrow I will be helping at our VFW Ladies Aux. dinner. It will be in the 90s! I hope their AC is working! BTW, Dianne, don't melt!!!
Barb It was Lynn's success that inspired me to join WW online. This week has not been as successful for me, what with the cheesesteak dinner the other night and the birthday celebration tonight at the Italian restaurant. Oh, well. Onward I go. My official weigh in day is Monday so maybe I can mitigate most of my sins by then. LOL
Mary The one time that my dog pooped on our walk and I didn't have bags with me, upon returning home I grabbed a poop bag and got in the car to return to the "scene of the crime" and pick it up. It was on someone's lawn and I had felt so guilty just walking away from it. I just have the one dog and she only poops in the back yard. Even with only the one, I still go pick up the poop twice a week. I can't imagine having a front yard covered in dog poop. That's gross.
Dianne I'm glad your difficult day is over and you are now recovering and getting pampered (I hope) by Louis. Pain meds sure are great when you need them. Take your meds and rest as much as you can.

Mary, we need to see pics of your patio and your room that has been fixed. We have seen the before pics, we need to see the after pics.
ReplyDeleteJodi, That is weird that you got an immediate headache during your therapy. I hope it doesn't happen again!
