  1. I don't know what the blog is as it didn't come across. Just blank squares.

  2. Barb I remember walking up and down the street and eating outside of a bar. I don't remember a karaoke thing, though. Maybe I just wasn't that impressed? Maybe my head was up my ass? LOL

I'm glad you're feeling better. It looks like it will be a nice day here. I need to force myself to go for a walk. I've been trying to build up my endurance for all the walking I'll be doing on the trip.

  3. J/L, When I relayed something to my mother that either wasn't true or she didn't remember, she would say, "maybe you dreamed it!" So, maybe I dreamed the karaoke! I'll have to ask Lynn the next time I talk to her. 😉

  4. Barb Okay, it's starting to come back to me now. I remembered the loud music but totally forgot that it was related to karaoke.

  5. Had my eye surgery yesterday. Went for follow up today and dr said eye looks good. Not feeling quite myself today yet.

I told Tina about the blog but for some reason it shows up to her....not to me either.

Not much else going on. Guess I'll drive tomorrow as dr said ok too.

  6. Not seeing anything here either. I thought my puter messed up lol!

JusL & Barb, were you two drinking lemon martinis???

I was asked to do my DJ/Karaoke again this week end...oye vey! I did hear the owners have put the place up for sale. They prolly need to show that they are busy on week ends lol! It is the oldest bar on Michigan. The town had two tiny bars side by side. Someone bought them made them into one. Still pretty small. The town used to be mostly Irish. As years pass by,not so much. It used to be very rowdy with nightly fights! The new owners gave them the ultimatum of "one strike" and you are out for good! It seemed to do the job, thank goodness lol!

Dianne, I hope you get to feeling better soon!!

I made appointments for Jim & I to have ultrasound screening on our arteries looking for any blockage. We do this every year or two. It's only $60 each. It is $150 if we do the "Life Line Screening" that does the different Church circuits.

  7. Dianne It sounds like your eye surgery went well and you are healing nicely. Do I gather from your FB posts that you are doing the other eye in a week? Good for you! I wonder if I did that if I wouldn't need to wear glasses anymore. I'm glad you can drive again tomorrow. I know you like to be out and about.

I've had a quiet day. I did have to run some stuff to the post office. I had received a corrected 1099 after I had already completed and signed my tax forms and returned them to the accountant. I got notice of the corrected forms in time for the accountant's office to hold my tax returns until the corrected paperwork was received. It won't change anything as the amount was only for $14.74. What a pain the the butt, though.

I had dinner with friends last night at Olive Garden as they are having their Buy One, Get One to Take Home. Nice! I had shrimp scampi last night and chose spaghetti with meat sauce to bring home. I had that for dinner tonight. Can't get any easier than that.

  8. Mary It's nice that they want you back to DJ but I know it was kind of nerve wracking for you with the inebriated dancing next to your equipment. Here's hoping there's no mishaps.

I've never had a lemon martini but I think they were making some really good Bloody Marys. Maybe they were even better than I thought. LOL

  9. Hi....I was able to drive today. I haven't had any pain at all. I was awake for my whole 45 min surgery. I was hoping to be asleep but I had to look up, look down, look at red light, etc. It seemed like it took a long time. You can feel when dr is doing but doesn't hurt. I wish I was already done with next weeks procedure....lots of drops before, during and after.

They are predicting snow for us Saturday. Yuck. I want to be done as we have had a very mild winter. LOUIS and in both have dental appts tomorrow. Mine is quick and he's getting a cleaning. I've talked him into taking me to a coach outlet afterwards. I want to get some sunglasses since I won't have to wear prescription anymore. I know I'll have to browse the purses for spring. LOUIS received a money merit award yesterday out of the blue....nice surprise and first time. He's treating to my glasses.

Mary, I hope this weekend is calmer for you on your DJ night. I wish I could watch you once. Does Jim go with you?

JL, we went to Olive Garden buy one get one last night too. It's a great deal. We will probably stay home sat night and eat them. Tomorrow night we are going on a Groupon to a yummy steak place for my belated bday!!

I ran into WW yesterday and gained only .6 so I've at least kept the nine pounds from the last two weeks off. I'm drowning in water!

Barb, she's remembering so it wasn't a dream.

  10. J/L, Did you not have a Lemontini at Rob's first Palm Springs party - you know the one where I drank a boatload of them thanks to Jim?

I finally have an appointment to have my taxes don on Monday. I don't have that much to deduct so they are fairly easy to do and I should probably save the $125.00 and do them myself. But, I have been going to the same guy since about 1990 and it's so much easier to just hand everything over to him. I guess I'm just lazy!

  11. Barb Oh, yeah. THOSE Lemontinis! LOL Now I remember. I forgot that's what we were drinking there. That is the one and only time I've had them. They were good. Jim was the hostess with the mostest, wasn't he? LOL

I went clothes shopping again yesterday. I should go on more trips as it forces me to buy new clothes. Anyway, I got a new pair of jeans and a nice blouse that I really like and a new top for everyday wear. I now have more new clothes than I can take on the trip so decisions must be made. That's the really hard part.

I find that I have to put air in my front tires way too frequently and on close inspection, they don't look too good. I had them checked out yesterday and it is agreed that they need to be replaced although my back tires are almost like new and are in great shape. I made an appointment to get the new front tires on Tuesday. Just one more little thing to crop up that needs to be done before my trip. The closer I looked at those front tires, the less I want to drive them on the freeways for an hour when I take my dog to drop off up at my daughter's house. Her ex-boyfriend and present roommate will be taking care of the dogs while we are on our trip.

  12. Dianne I got a new purse but not a Coach or any other designer unless you count Travelon. It's a purse for travel and has some kind of blocking devise built into it that prevents people from scanning your credit card info. It also has mesh in the lining so someone can't come up an slice through it while you aren't paying attention. It also has a cross-body strap so it can't be yanked off your shoulder. I also bought a new little black bag for evenings on the ship. It's just big enough to carry the essentials; lipstick, cabin key, inhaler.

Congrats on the 9 lb weight loss. See, cutting down on soda really does make a difference.

It's going to be a gorgeous day here.

  13. Just a quick fly-by. I slept in way too long today. I need to start dinner.
Last night was interesting. I will go into detail later. A teaser...It would have been nice if the bar owner had told us it was "Western/cowboy contest night! @@
