This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Hope you all had a great Valentines Day! Same ole same ole here. Jim did not come with a romantic bone in his body lol! I quit giving him stuff when I finally figured it out. OK, I did buy him a big Valentine cookie. It was zero degrees this morning! Everything you stepped on outside, cracked loud! I had my hair done this afternoon. It got up to 20* I wish I was heading to Hawaii with Dianne!!
Mary Well, my Valentine's Day was nothing to write about, either. I did snuggle on the couch with the dog in the evening. Does that count? LOL
Speaking of the dog.....She has always had this wart-type growth on her neck about the size of a pea. Recently it was suddenly twice as large and was scabby on the edge with dried blood. I don't know if it bled spontaneously or if she scratched at it and made it bleed. Anyway, the fact that he has grown larger in such a short time is worrisome so she has an appointment with the vat on Monday. I suspect they will want to remove it.
Don't be stingy with your eye drops. You don't want to mess with the health of your eyes.
Barb The senior complex you wrote of sounds like a great option for Marie. I hope she continues to like that idea. It would be safer for her and you wouldn't have to worry about her too much.
The Bachelor commercial that was on during the Oscars was a take off of the movie "Ghost". Peter is at the pottery wheel and more and more female arms are reaching around from his back and rubbing on his chest. Whoopi leans in from the side and says something like, "You're in big trouble, Peter". If you recall, Whoopi won an Oscar for her supporting role in the film. I thought it was a pretty funny and clever commercial to air during the Oscar telecast.
Speaking of the Oscars, now that the Korean film "Parasite" won so many awards I will have to put on my big girl panties and watch it even though I will have to read subtitles. I watched a whole Icelandic series by reading the subtitles so I guess a two hour movie won't be too difficult.
Dianne I hope you are having great weather and a wonderful time on your vacation. Do you sleep in or do you get up early to get breakfast in the dining room? Speaking of early, I had a robo call the other day at 5:30 in the morning! Totally unacceptable!
J/L, I got a robo call at 6:00am and I wasn’t a happy camper. I wanted to answer and yell at the caller, but I’m sure it was a recording so I didn’t waste my energy. It does no good to block the numbers, because they just call from another number. The “do not call” list is useless, imo!
I do remember the Bachelor ad now that you reminded me what it was about. I did chuckle at Whoopie. I was happy for her when she won the Oscar. I loved the movie and she did a great job in it.
Dianne, I talked to Kathy and she told me you texted a picture of your swollen hand that you hurt when you fell. I hope you’re OK. Did you fall on the ship, or when you went ashore? You aren’t supposed to do that on vacation! I hope you are able to enjoy the cruise.
SacBarb, oh oh, Dianne fell? I hope her fall won't mess up her vaca! I hope it wasn't her "wiping" hand lol!
JL, Does your phone show " may be a spam call"? Mine does on some. I did ignore one today because I didn't recognize the number. Turned out to be from BC/BS. They did leave a message and said they would call at another time. It was just some kind of welfare check. Doe either of you gals do "Welvie? It's an on-line questionnaire/info. about pre- operations. If you do it on-line, once a year, you get a $25 Amazon gift card.
Barb,I really don't mind the cold here in Mich, as long as the roads are passable. I just wish winter was waaay shorter!
Hope you all had a great Valentines Day!

Mary, I hope you’re staying warm. I can’t imagine living where it gets as cold as it does where you are.
ReplyDeleteValentine’s Day came and went very quietly here. I didn’t even get any heart shaped desserts. Neither of us need it.
