This Night Owl Blog has given so much!
It is a fun place, we don't bash and we have fun being "tedious"!
We offer advice, give love, lots of free food and an open forum which can be about anything that is important, thought provoking or just plain silly.
And sometimes we just March (some to different drummers, but all together). :)
It is not about a single person, it is about all the people on any given day blended together.....Goldie!
Dianne, Love hearing from you! I am so glad you are getting rehab! I don't worry about you as much if you were at home, so keep up the good work! Don't worry about the cards. We all know you love sending them, but on the good side.. you're all set for next year LOL!!
My knee is still acting weird. I do need to get it checked out. This time of year is so hectic!
I went to a friend/co workers celebration of life Sat, at our Union hall. She was one of my retiree friends. She was such a happy go lucky Lady. She would wear funky clothes for every occasion such as lit up earrings & necklaces for Easter,Christmas, basically any Holiday. She would bring us all some type of silly dollar store gifts. She had been battling cancer for many years, but rarely mentioned it. She was big supporter and elected official of our retirees. I walked into the Hall and everyone was given a necklace that had blinking lights and many were wearing funky type outfits. She would have loved it!
I have put up our small tree, but no decorations. I will get to that today. First I will make tortillas for burritos later.
Again, good hearing from you Dianne and thanks for the laugh :)
Dianne, maybe you can go home after the rails are finished. It will be safer for you. Don’t worry about Christmas cards. As Mary said, you’re all set for next year! My Jennifer friends and I got started on our Christmas cards in September. It usually takes three sessions, but I couldn’t make the third one. My friends finished them and delivered my share to me. They are such great friends. Actually, I worked with them (supervised one of them) for many years before I retired. I addressed all the envelopes on Monday. Now to do the cards.
Mary, sorry your knee is giving you problems. You should have it checked out before it gets worse. How is Zoie doing? I see those cute Little videos on FB and always think of you and Zoie. How are Jim and Matthew doing?
JL, I’m missing all our shows on ABC. The contract dispute between DirecTV and ABC is still going on. I really hate it! Marie is getting quite comfortable at the care home. She’s beginning to complain about the food. She wet her bed and the caregiver said she just didn’t want to get up to use the bathroom! I ordered adult pull ups for her at their request and they are making sure she wears them. I’m not crazy about the idea because now she doesn’t have to bother using the bathroom.
I had my annual checkup with my primary doctor and labs for her and my Kidney doctor. My kidney values have gone down but are still considered stable. I’m still being careful about my diet, eating low sodium foods, etc. My primary wanted me to check in with my cardiologist, and that appointment was yesterday. I’ve been having some breathing issues, getting out of breath with just a little exertion. It’s really been noticeable when we’re working at Marie’s condo. The cardio doc will schedule an EKG to see what’s going on.
Hi again. My other post was getting really messed up so just wanted to say good night and love all of you
